Was very disappointed after my lunch at NOPI. I love Ottolenghi’s recipes and took my fiends there during my visit to London. The aubergine dish I had lacked flavour and had more potatoes than aubergine. The chickpea tofu was very good. The coriander seeds in the burratta added nothing. The quince with it was good.

I used to make it a point to come to Nopi whenever in London. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. We were made to wait almost half an hour despite having had a reservation. We had mentioned we were celebrating and after our meal, our server brought us a dessert we didn’t order. We thought this was kind, complimentary gesture until we saw it on the bill. This left a bad taste on an otherwise special night. Unfortunately, I associate Nopi with different feelings now and don’t see myself returning.

We've been wanting to try Nopi for a while. I love ottolenghi's books, and cooking from them is always inspiring and worth it. The food here was fantastic tasting. Roasted celeriac, char siu cauliflower, Valdeón cheesecake, trout, and pork belly. BUT... It all came so fast, we felt like we were speed-dating our food. Ond dish after the other, while we were still eating one another showed up. There was no pacing, it felt like they just wanted to get us out. By the last course, which unfortunately was the trout, we were overwhelmed. We still had half a bottle of wine left! I loved the food, I just wish I had had the time to enjoy it at a more leisurely pace.

Our experience here was definitely not what we wanted. Our food portions were tiny but with huge prices! Not worth it at all. There were 4 of us, everyone left feeling hungry, yet we spent nearly £300. We also felt very rushed throughout and unable to relax. Important to note that we had a £25 tip built into our bill which we thought was very cheeky as we didn’t find the service worth that much at all. Also important to highlight that if the tip is fixed into the bill, the staff can act how ever they like, no need to go out of there way for anything or help us properly and we definitely felt this was true.

We had lunch there on a Monday. Everything was great: great food, very nice cocktails and the service was outstanding. I have a lot of allergies but everything was taken care off. The waitress checked if everything was ok at our table and was very friendly. A must go when you're in London!

I found Nopi to be an exceptional restaurant. The food was exquisite and beautifully presented. The wait staff was enthusiastic and fully engaged in describing the various options. Moreover, they were attentive but not at all intrusive or overbearing throughout the meal. The wines were delicious as well. The room is simple and elegant.

Loved the food, and the service was great. If you're looking for a fancy night out make sure you book a later table. Ive been twice now once at 8pm and once at 6pm... the 6pm time slot feels very casual with loads of children and people just finishing their day of sightseeing, kind of ruined the aesthetic tbh.

Sad to say that the food - particularly the mains- all tasted incredibly sweet. I love what Yotam does, but I wish the flavours were pared back a bit, and the combinations were simplified so the ingredients could really sing. It all felt quite muddled and just tasted far too sugary, for my tastes. And, very pricey - which is (of course) to be expected, and I know they have to turn a profit. But I sadly think these days you can find much better for much less. Having just gone to Forza Wine the other night, I really felt the difference in quality/price ratio!

My husband and I had dinner at Nopi, one of Yotam Ottolenghi’s restaurants. I have been cooking out of his cookbooks for many years and many of my go-to recipes come from them. The prospect of dining at one of his restaurants was very exciting, and did not disappoint. We started with cocktails: the lime leaf martini and Walnut Old fashioned - both delicious. We chose several small plates to share. Burrata with quince, hibiscus and fig leaf vinaigrette and coriander seeds was first out. The quince was quite hard but it, along with the crunch of the coriander seeds, provided a nice textural contrast to the soft, luscious burrata. Next was aubergine (eggplant) with black garlic, pomegranate and pine nuts. It’s hard to describe the full-bodied richness that dish contained. I love eggplant, and this dish is going right at the top of the list of dishes to make. Yes, of course I bought the cookbook! Then came roasted celeriac with apple miso, pickled celeriac and pistachio sambal. The flavors and textures, again, complimenting each other and creating a beautiful dish. Two meat dishes followed, the seared ox tongue with burnt butter hummus, marinated peppers and ladopita and the pork belly with tkemali, spring onion and peanut. I found the former underwhelming, but the latter had a lovely texture, not greasy as sometimes is the case with pork belly. The Asian flavor profile provided a vibrant contrast to the richness of the pork. The ladies room is fabulous - like something out of a house of mirrors. The atmosphere was great and the crowd was diverse; hipsters, families, couples. Just a terrific place!

Finally made it to one of Ottolenghi's restaurants while I was staying in London and it was all I was hoping for! The sharing concept is something I very much appreciated as it provides you the opportunity to taste several different dishes. We went for 3 vegetarian starters for sharing (Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and celeriac) and for one main each. In hindsight, I would choose more starters instead of the main, as specifically the cauliflower and the celeriac were so delicious that the main was not able to keep up with that. Of course the main was also very good, but in my opinion, the starters were even better :) I specifically liked that there was a very good selection of vegetarian dishes, which were also in its dedicated section on the menu making it easy to understand what I could order. We sat downstairs (ground floor), where the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and the service was nice and attentive. Reservation recommended, but not necessarily required during weeknights, I think, as there were still some free tables when we were there.

Had a great time at Nopi, but mostly because of the service. The food was good but there was no wow factor. You can find similar restaurants with a much lower price range within 2km. Could be that it gets better when the menu changes. Nevertheless, I am willing to go again. The biggest let down was the noise. We sat at ground level (not sure why they call it upstairs) and it was very loud. My partner and I could not have a quiet conversation. In my opinion, the space is too tightly packed with too many guests (especially if it is fully booked). Lastly, they have unique and signature cocktails which pair nicely with the food

The food: - Take the veggie, they are better then the meat. Fish and pork were ok but nothing spectacular(fish was salty). Also a bit disappointed with the aubergine. Service: - 1.5h for a meal is simply not enough. You eat and rush and you really fell that the service is rushing you. Ambient: - Sitting at the big table is nice experience. Due to high expectations before the visit, just 3 stars at the end.

Before you think I’m another serial negative reviewer, think again. I have only left one other bad review in my life. Firstly - don’t come here if you like good food. Secondly - LMAO. I have dined in my fair share of expensive restaurants, much more so than NOPI. There is a level of standard you would expect paying these prices - where WAS it?! I am not joking when I say I would have been more satisfied in all aspects if I had pulled out my leftovers that I’ve already eaten three times this week and heated them up in the microwave. I left hungry. Do not be fooled by the tiny sneaky dishes they call a “main”. Firstly lmao who do you think you are calling those MAINS? They are the same size as the starters 🤔. Also if you like seasoning you better stay away, there literally wasn’t any. Let that sink in - this is supposed to be a Mediterranean restaurant. When I say the Brussels sprouts with yoghurt on the side was the tastiest thing - and even that was extremely mid!!!!! The sauce would have been better if I had made it 🥴🥴🥴 I literally do not recommend any of the dishes I tried and we almost ordered every single dish lol. I can’t 🫨I’m in shock 😪 I jest because I am in shock at how extremely offensively underwhelming this restaurant was. In all seriousness do not waste your time or money here. The service was average too. I think I was the only person at the table who was offered a drink top up and after approx 45 minutes waiting we had to ask for the bill. Come on guys 🫥 lucky we were with good company!!! anywho, I shan’t ever be back here again lmao 😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️ I will be sleeping with one eye open tonight….as the sugary potato’s haunt me as I try to rest 👀 EDIT: addition because as I was falling asleep I was awoken by shock at two terrible dishes I forgot to mention. 1. The aubergine - holy moly this was not good. It was basically like an aubergine lasagne? Save yourself some money, a ready meal from Tesco tastes better. 2. Wonderfully delicious breakfast by Chef Ottolenghi. Presentation was simple and elegant which was reflected in the simple yet delicious combination of flavours. The black rice was an excellent replacement dish for the usual boring oats. The scrambled tofu was an inspired and healthy replacement dish for scrambled eggs on toast. The service was smooth, efficient and friendly. The coffee was very solid as was the freshly squeezed juice. The overall experience was excellent. Addendum: We enjoyed breakfast so much we went back for lunch. The service was great once again. The food was exceptional. Would definitely recommend coming here as evidenced by us coming back!

The food, particularly the vegetarian dishes, was delightful. Nevertheless, given the price, we expected a higher quality. We've encountered other restaurants in a comparable price range that exceeded our expectations. The recommendation of five or six dishes for two people, served swiftly, left us yearning for a more leisurely dining experience lasting over an hour and a half. High end restaurant with affordable and reasonable prices. Part of the kitchen is integrated in the visitors room, so you can see the chefs how they prepare your meal. Ottolenghi is also famous for his fermented products which you can see on a shelf next to the kitchen, and of course on the menu. Don't hesitate to visit, but make sure to get a reservation, as it is always full.

Location: walking distance from our hotel. In a lively and busy shopping strip. Service: amazing service, attentive but not pushy. Great timing. Never a long wait. Food: excellent one of the best meals Ive had. It’s fresh, tasty and very interestingly layered of texture and flavours. Well done. Mushroom was perfect appetizer. Wir waren am Samstag Abend im Nopi beim Essen. Unseren Tisch haben wir im Voraus problemlos über die Webseite gebucht. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von zwei Mitarbeiterinnen sehr freundlich begrüßt und anschließend zu unserem Tisch gebracht. Wir waren zu dritt, drei Frauen Anfang 30. Leider hat uns der Kellner von Sekunde eins das Gefühl gegeben nicht willkommen zu sein. Leider wissen wir nicht woran das gelegen hat, das Gefühl und der Eindruck haben uns allerdings den ganzen Abend begleitet. Das ist sehr schade, da uns dieser negative Eindruck und nicht das gute Essen in Erinnerung bleibt. Die Karte ist in Starter, Vegetarisch, Main und Fleisch/Fisch Gerichte unterteilt. Da wir alle drei vegetarisch essen, haben wir ausschließlich die vegetarischen Gerichte bestellt, darauf hat der Kellner schon sehr merkwürdig reagiert. So im Sinne dass wir zu wenig bestellen, das hat er uns dann nach der Bestellung auch nochmal unfreundlich kommuniziert. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker, aber leider überwiegt der Eindruck und das negative Gefühl das uns der Kellner gegeben hat. Essen top, Kellner flop.

Good but not great! We ordered 6 items to share and overall thought the dishes were flavourful but did not meet our high expectations. The down fall of the experience was unfortunately the staff. I ordered the honey negroni and thought it was delicious however when my friend ordered the same drink they forgot the main garnish for a negroni, very disappointing for the amount you’re paying for a cocktail. To end off the evening, after paying the bill my two guests went to the washroom and while I was waiting for them to return at the table the manager approached me and rushed us to leave because their next table was there. Very rude way to treat your paying customers when they were already on their way out the door. We’re very big fans of Ottolenghi and will hopefully have a better experience at the bakery location tomorrow.

Despite the great reviews, and the hype around this place, we had quite a disappointing experience yesterday during lunch. We were seated next to the entrance, with the constant cold airway due to people coming in and out of the restaurant. Besides, there was a mix up with our orders which disrupted the smoothness of the experience that you’d expect from such a place. The food was excellent.

Went for a family meal. Part of their business model seems to be to get as many covers as possible out of each table every night, and we were warned that they’d need the table back by a certain time. No problem with that, although about 15mins after our booking time, when one of party still hadn’t arrived, they were asking us if we ready to order. Cocktails were nice, reasonably priced, and, like everything else, served quickly. Food was slightly less wonderful than I expected but still pretty good. We had a wide selection of their sharing plates. I’d recommend avoiding the main dishes which seemed overpriced. There’s loads of staff so you never have to wait long. At the end they asked if we wanted coffee, we said no, and the bill was on the table within a minute. Suits me fine.

Always a pleasure to be back. Booked quite late so I only got a seat at the bar, which turned out to be a great experience as well. Char siu cauliflower, lemongrass, cucumber is highly recommended. Used TripAdvisor to find it. Did not have a reservation and we offered to seat at the bar during a busy lunchtime. It was little bit too laud and the server's British accent was quite thick, but we were able to order "all the right things". Wonderful meal! Delicious!

I sat downstairs on a busy Friday night with two friends. The service was perfect. The receptionist was charming. Our waitress was attentive and skilful. We sat at a large communal table. She made helpful suggestions as we chose from the menu, kept our glasses topped up, produced all the dishes on time and was super efficient with our bill. I paid for a bottle of wine and we split the food bill. She gave us 4 separate bills without being asked to. The food was fine, the atmosphere civilised, exactly what you want on a relaxed night out

Last minute booking for three initially, but very graciously accommodated a fourth at very short notice, thanks to a very helpful duty manager. Food and wine, while not cheap, was delicious. Presentation was terrific. Service from the young Neapolitan Antonio downstairs was exemplary. Great to see well trained, enthusiastic, knowledgable staff. He contributed hugely to a very enjoyable experience. Will be back.

Fans de simple d’ottolenghi nous avons profité d’un passage à Londres pour tester Nopi. A faire absolument pour prolonger l’expérience avec en plus des cocktails très originaux. Délicieux, fin, parfumé, super expérience. Lieu un peu bruyant mais c’est vite oublié.

Outstanding food! One of the best meals I ever had!! Would definitely return to try EVERYTHING else on the menu. Amazing presentation of the food, too. Service was outstanding. Only downside: even though I like the concept of sharing tables in general, it was a bit cramped and I could not enjoy the meal the way I wanted to. Might be a relaxed place for lunch, but not the best atmosphere for dinner. I would recommend booking a table upstairs for dinner.

We enjoyed an excellent meal & superb cocktails too! Sharing table was lovely, we barely noticed we were sharing as it was huge with a gorgeous large vase of flowers placed centrally which put a natural barrier between parties but in a good way! We were close to the kitchen but didn't notice any noise, the only thing we noticed were the occasional staff visit to the storage shelves next to the table. We were late but Nopi accommodated us regardless and we were not rushed away from our table, just politely advised that the next booking was imminent & invited to finish our drinks upstairs at the skinny bar. All the staff were lovely & we will definitely recommend - thank you!

Amazing food and calm setting in the middle of a hectic part of town. One caution - afternoon reservations are only 1h30 which felt a bit rushed - they literally cleared plates we were still eating and no time for dessert because the reservation was up.

Location bellissima con sharing tables e vista sulla cucina, personale preparato e disponibile. Cocktails ottimi serviti con frutta secca speziata.Da provare il rotolo con funghi e cavolo nero,super!

I was not a big fan. Whilst the food was creative and the occasional dish tasted amazing, overall we had a few meals that didn't taste that great. The mutton shawarma came with a big chunk of fat, and we asked for the duck to be taken back to be slightly fried as it was smoked and way too chewy when it first arrived. The waiting staff that looked after us were amazing and very accommodating and they made a big difference to the overall experience.
