Noodlebox in Cardiff

Stay away from delivery service. I'm so disappointed, this is the second time I've ordered for delivery and both times it took almost 2 hours for food to arrive. Good noodles but never again will I get delivery of them.

I loved having a lemon chicken noodle box from here! It was the best!!

Been ordering here for YEARS now and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed. The food and prices are incredible. Quality, freshness and flavour is 10/10 and even better they have sooo many veggie options. Staff are always so lovely! My favourite noodle place in Cardiff 💚

I've enjoyed the food for years and was very happy when they reopened. I leave this poor review as I waited over 2 hours for a delivery (quoted 50mins) and when I called at 1h40 I spoke to someone who told me soon as they were too busy. Not even an apology for the wait. If you're charging what you are you can afford more drivers and better customer service.

I'm a strict vegetarian of 20+ years. I ordered the Veggie Sweet Box and upon eating the noodles discovered what I thought was tofu was in fact chicken. I'm absolutely livid! Usually a good place but they've failed on the basics!

One of my favourite places to get food from. I've been ordering from here for years, always really good, fresh and great value. I've rarely had any issues, and when I did get the wrong item delivered once, they sorted it no problem. As takeaways go they're one of the slower ones but only because they're usually busy, so I just order ahead of time.

Food was really tasty and juicy too, katsu curry sauce and sesame sauce were amazing. They have a selection of Japanese 🍻, to go with the food, and my favourite Ben and Jerry's tubs to complete the dinner. I would highly recommend this place for a family dinners, friends getto's or a quick snacking.

Staff are not very friendly and make you feel unwelcome The staff don’t seem to have any knowledge about the food that they are cooking I found this out when I asked if they veggie boxes where vegan or vegetarian and they didn’t seem to know and if you order through Uber they will take ages to deliver or even Forget your order The last time I ordered from here the food tasted a bit weird then I was ill for 3 days Will definitely never eat here again

Most probaly the best noodles I've had in cardiff, and the healthiest. Although prices have just increased just a little too much across the board.

Food is nice! But £4.50 for a milkshake that seamed to use water instead of milk is ridiculous

Do not order from here! Food took 1hr30mins to arrive, well over the 45 mins stated on the website and I live 2 miles away. I’ve demanded a refund as that’s unprofessional especially if they are going to take payment straight away and then not deliver on time. I’ve worked for a restaurant that does takeaways and would be apologetic and offer refund in this case. No one answered my multiple phone calls either. Disgusting service.

Food was raw.manager attitude stuck when I told him my chicken was pink.and noodles were dry. chewing gum under table and greasy smell inside.i value my own health to revisit this place.AVOID

Two and a half hours for a delivery when it stated an hour max. Food was OK but not worth the money paid.

Cracking place if you're looking for something different. I had a KT box with Udon noodles. I went large for an extra £1. Plenty of options so expect to look at the wall menu for aaaaaaages! Deffo recommend.

Food is amazing, so fresh and made right in front of you! Service is impeccable! They have a variety of different food with different spices, if your not a fan of spicy food they will edit the recipe to make it less spicy to suit. Easily one of my favourite food places and will always recommend this to everyone. If you're taking away the food stays piping hot for over an hour if you're on the go.

I'm not a great fan of noodles but tried veggie SATAY noodle box and to my surprise I loved it. Amazing texture, rich sauce and great flavours, overall great food and side's, satisfied my palate. Nice seating and friendly staff & service. Worth for all the time and price.

Had a takeaway from here for the first time and I was so impressed with the quality and taste, ordered Udon style noodles with chicken in satay sauce and a normal style noodles for my kid, we both enjoyed eating them. Service was also good and quick. This place is definitely been listed as one of the best takeaway in my pot.

Definitely legendary! I can totally see why this place has local legend status. Never ordered from here before but so impressed, just cant rate it enough - From ordering to door it was 15minutes! I have no idea whats going on but something doesn't seem right. Their website isn't secure and has error messages. They don't answer the phone and sometimes the call gets directed to another number. I selected a collection and said i'd pay on arrival (no way im sending money through their website). I didn't recieve a confirmation text or email. I'm not even sure if they're still doing business.

Nothing was what we ordered. Its not katsu its rasum. Its not jasmin rice its long grain. Its not vegitable katsu its vegitable pakora.

Superb place for hangout, if need a best taste of noodle must visit store, pleasant ambience with good lighting. Especially the taste is is very distinct and unique. Love this place and I visit it every week.

Disappointing waste of money What a joke of a restaurant. I ordered a meal deal of a noodle box, side and drink for £10.95 and in return got a box of greasy noodles and a couple of battered vegetables. Lets start with the side. I'm fairly sure these are priced at about £4 each . I ordered a box of battered prawns, and received a grand total of 2 prawns with something like 4 pieces of battered vegetables (carrot sticks and such). Don't get me wrong, they were nice but I would have expected more than 2 prawns for the price. Secondly the noodles. I ordered the duck option, not that it mattered because the pieces of meat were about the size and thickness of wood shavings, each attached to a piece of fat that was BIGGER than the piece of meat itself. Furthermore the noodles were fairly greasy and there was very very little veg mixed in - it may as well have not been there. This was basically just a box of greasy egg noodles with not a huge amount of flavour. For approximately £7. The noodle box was so bland I didn't finish it and was extremely disappointed. I would strongly recommend against eating here.

Guys, your teriyaki udon noodle box is ON POINT! Nothing is too much of this or too much of that, it's just right. From the noticeable sodium content to the perfectly cooked udon, to the meat (which isn't overdone or undercooked, you can actually chew through this!) Honestly I'm impressed. Haven't been to a restaurant of this type that serves better food since the wife and I moved to Cardiff, can't wait until our next 'treat day'!

Good food with a good price. Be wary of what size you go for, those boxes are more filling than they seem!

Placed order for delivery at 19:55 - despite calling twice, order has not arrived as of 21:30. Possibly not the best when it comes to delivery. I'd recommend ordering a delivery and waiting for it to arrive the next day. I'll give this place a miss after being a regular - if a business can't invest and improve a delivery service for the sake of a customer, perhaps we should be spending our money elsewhere, where they care.

I have ordered this a few time in work(5) and have visited the shop once. The website is very easy to use and order from. Every time I've ordered I've ordered something different and I haven't been disappointed yet, the food is absolutely amazing! The portions are very good and filling. The taste is brilliant down to the last bite! I would definitely recommend trying some food from here!

Just moved to Cardiff and had food from here twice already. Very fresh, tasty and good value for money.

Excellent meal deal! Side, main noodles and a beer for £10.50, bargain. The only reason for the dropped star was my king prawn tempura only had two prawns and the sauce on my noodles was under-seasoned.

Ordered off justeat for 4 adults and 2 children noodle boxes. Food took nearly 2 hours to come. Kids were really hungry and id passed wanting food by the time it came. It tasted nice but waiting nearly 2 hours for food to be delivered is a joke!

The food is good. Sweet potato sesame cakes are great. But my advice is collect or eat in only; never order delivery. Both times I have it's taken around 1hr 30/40 to arrive.

Restaurant is very stylish itself. Good variety of foods. I liked the food as well.

Always spaces especially at lunch time, which is good. Food is fresh and freshly tasty. Good choice on the menu, but a little bit pricey for my liking and they don't slide you to change any of the ingredients, so if you want a teriyaki box but with chicken because you don't eat beef, then you can't. Otherwise it is a good place to go.

Fantastic options especially the sides and the choice of Noodles. My fussy daughter loved her Satay Box and Chocolate Cookie Milkshake. One word that's **WOW**

Terrible experience this evening with awful customer service. Food took over an hour to arrive and when it did, the katsu chicken had no katsu sauce and the tempura had no dip. We called and were advised that they'd send a driver with the missing items. Another 45 minutes passes, cold food and no sauce. Called again and was told the sauce hadn't been sent yet but it could be sent now (2 hours from original order time). No apology, refund or credit offered.

Decided to give a try inspite of low rating. The staff was friendly and was knowledgeable to recommend. I had laksa which was quite good for what you typically get in fast food outlets. The soup was watery than I expected. Starters were good.

My husband just picked up a noodle box for us. I asked for something with duck, hoisin and mushrooms. Chef refused to serve duck without oyster sauce which I don't like. He just returned with chicken in so much soy it was more like soup and just tasted of ginger. Tempura veg was mush but that could be the time it was being brought home. Never again 🤢

Good sizes food for the price. If you like Japanese or even most Asian food it's worth a look. They do good daytime deals and it's a great work lunch treat for yourself.

Very unhelpful. Menu is set for a certain clientele which some individuals are unable to eat. I cant eat seafood but the only box with the ingredients I did like had seafood as the meat, when requested an exchange for chicken my request was a point blank NO. Seems like it cant be made fresh if their unable to add or take away parts of a box. I will not be returning that's for sure!

Love your boxes but you need to sort out your Sunday hours! Both online and Facebook say open during the day when that is not true. Drove out of my way 2pm on a Sunday for the door sign to say not open until 5. Very inconvenient and glad I didn't put through my order online to have to wait three hours...

Worst Ever Customer we had. Bought goods from a supplier to serve his food and does not pay them for more than a year. Whenever you try calling him on his mobile, he never picks up the phone. NEVER DEAL WITH THIS CUSTOMER EVER!!

I had their "quack box" and it virtually had no meat in it. The noodles were totally bland with just a few bits of vegetables. Economy on everything, no meat, no sauce, nothing.

Placed an online order for delivery at 11.30am, at 12.4pm I called the branch to advise we had not received our food to be told they knew nothing about our order. When I said I could forward the receipt I was told that she would have to speak to her manager, no apology given other than , 'what do you want me to do?' Upon calling back at 1.10pm I was told they couldn't find my order so I would have to reorder, I said I wanted a refund which I was given instantly, so they must have had my order! Very very poor customer service

Visitamos un lunes y tenía la oferta especial. £5 por noodlebox! Los fideos eran muy rica y las gambas muy sospechoso y jugosa. Tienes una caja llena, que es mucho. Un gran servicio que también era agradable y rápido. Comí en y quedé muy impresionado con las habitaciones limpias y ordenadas interior. Volvería una y otra vez!

I've tried many noodle places and this is the best. I ordered the chicken satay box with ramen noodles (twice now) and both times it was perfect!

Después de elaborar un tastebud para la comida japonesa hace algunos años, me quedé encantada de que se presentó a éste por un compañero de trabajo. Con un menú maravilloso la calidad es excepcional. Viendo el personal tan atento a los recién llegados y aventureros explicando los platos es refrescante y ejemplar. Perfecto para un simple, rápido y saludable bocado. Sin problemas y servido con una sonrisa. Buen trabajo a todos los involucrados

Hemos comido aquí unas cuantas veces y todos de acuerdo en que la calidad ha bajado y el precio ha subido demasiado. La carne es dura y escaso, incluso con carne doble. Las comidas no sabor fresco, simplemente bastante salada y procesada. Parece como si los ingredientes no son de la misma calidad que solía ser.la entrega puede tomar un largo tiempo o si no en todos, nunca sabes si pides una hora antes de que esté listo para comer o 15 minutos, nos dijeron que 45 minutos tiempo de entrega no importa lo ocupado que son.No le recomiendo este lugar a cualquiera. Hay sitios mucho mejores para comer en cathays.

I went this restaurant this afternoon. The food quality was very good, yummies and very full. In the box has a lot food, it was very lovely. I think, the best noodle shop in Caerdydd.!

After trolling through the internet to find a healthy/ish restaurant that does deliveries I chose on NoodleBox, 45 minutes after ordering, my stomach rumbling I finally received my order. I opened up my NoodleBox to find a LONG BLACK HAIR, gross!!! Completely put me off eating the rest of my food but I tried another meal I had in another box and it tasted nice but I just couldn't get the thought of that hair out of my head so unfortunately, I wasted time and money on this company but then again I got more than what I paid for..

first time ordered satay chicken - three pieces of chicken in it. the box was fill to the top though. Second time - walked in was made stand there, no one in front of me for several minutes so i turned and left.
