Este lugar ha estado en Belmont durante algunos años. Solo he ido a desayunar y es algo en lo que sobresale.Realmente no como fuera, pero si quiero freír, voy aquí. Siempre lo cocinan como a ti te gusta, por ejemplo a mí me gusta el tocino bien hecho, que en tantos sitios parece que el chef tiene que ir en contra de todo lo que les enseñó Escoffier y nunca quemar nada, pero aquí viene crujiente, la morcilla es clonakilty, los huevos revueltos son siempre perfectos, y las salchichas son siempre bonitas y sencillas de cerdo.El personal es amable y los precios son bastante buenos. Muy recomendable, aunque yo diría que son muy populares la mayoría de las mañanas, y con menos mesas por el distanciamiento social, ¡prepárate para esperar! !

El menú de brunch es muy bueno y tiene algo para todos. El día que fuimos fue tranquilo y conseguimos una mesa en minutos. la comida se sirvió rápidamente y era justo lo que queríamos. La chica vestida de negro que parecía estar a cargo era apenas agradable, nunca hizo contacto visual y no nos agradeció por nuestro negocio. Aparte de esto, no tengo quejas.

Love no. 36.. great selection of food and always served quickly. Staff friendly. Have also had a takeaway and it was good although definitely prefer sitting in.

Good selection of vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast/lunch and more, and you can customise your breakfast. Staff were helpful despite being very busy at the time.

I love this little cafe. The food is consistently good and the choice changes regularly. The staff are very nice and the environment good - although a tad cramped at lunchtime when it is always heaving!

What can I say but when you visit an area of a city whereby coffee shops and restaurants are a plenty, you really have to stand out from the crowd. No. 36 excels at doing so. Found in the busy Belmont Road, the premises are a little small but there's still enough space for those seeking fantastic food.This was my third visit in as many weeks and that itself speaks volumes. Some may say its surroundings are basic, but it's warm, clean and has a great menu to choose from.As usual I'm nosey when it comes to dinning somewhere new, mainly focusing upon the meals of others but it was the specials menu which captivated me on this visit as indeed the last. Today it was pulled pork with sweet potatoes and chilli and it was simply outstanding.The fresh food and the deliciously comprised dish made me seriously consider another bowl, instead I opted to save space for a salted caramel brownie which was again heaven. Its clear from the comments of other patrons that the menu and staff were experienced in the same way I did today and on previous visits.A return visit will definitely occur and General Merchant and Harlem need to up their game as this little East Belfast gem is pushing the boundaries in cooking and I failed to mention the friendly courteous staff that are now lacking in some establishments.Well worth a visit.

Food is always really good quality and value. We go for breakfast, lunch and tea! Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Great place for a breakfast if you are in East Belfast. Quick service, well priced and great quality. Hard to beat.

An excellent coffee shop/restaurant in Strandtown on the Belmont Road. I arrived not long before closing time and was still welcomed by friendly staff. Coffee and traybake nice. This is by far a much better place than Olivers across the road. I will be going back to 36 next time I am in the area.

Never disappointed. My fave is the Irish Open - sausages, bacon and poached eggs on wheaten bread with rocket and Ballymaloe relish. Pankakes and brioche French toast with crispy bacon are perfect too.

Highly recommended! Great selection of freshly prepared, locally sourced food. I eat out regularly and this place does the nicest food ever. Always a good selection of specials and all is reasonably priced. It’s a real treat eating in No. 36 and the surroundings and staff are super. Pero definitivamente no es porque sirven un buen desayuno. Hemos frecuentado este lugar muchas veces a lo largo de los años y recientemente ha empeorado. Siempre tomo el desayuno de proteínas porque me encanta el budín negro. Pero Jesucristo, hoy fue un desastre. Nuestros desayunos salieron y nuestro budín negro no era comestible, duro y crujiente no es como debería ser servido. Esto se sintió como si lo hubieran dejado en la freidora durante demasiado tiempo, lo cual es comprensible ya que todo el personal estaba parado hablando como de costumbre. Mis salchichas y tocino vinieron de la misma manera. Mi compañero ordenó los panqueques con tocino y budín negro extra, el suyo era el mismo, y tuvo que dejar su tocino ya que estaba incinerado, tenía demasiada hambre, así que comí el mío ya que no había mucho más en el plato. I have visited No.36 on a number of occasions. Each time I have been pleased with the service and the food. The breakfast menu offers a great selection and the lunch menu often features a number of specials. The salads, soups and sandwiches are all very nice. I would highly recommend.

Ate here for the first time last week. Broad breakfast menu. Enjoyed the breakfast open sandwich.....thick wheaten bread, ballymahoe relish, bacon, sausage and a egg X2. Very filling. Very tasty. Good coffee. Will return!!

Ordered of the specials menu a filled soda. What I was presented with was 2 tiny triangles of soda. Left very disappointed. Thankfully there are other eateries on the Belmont Rd. I will be sticking to them from now on.

Loved this little restaurant. Delicious homemade food, the spinach and chicken pie was delicious. Chicken burger was also very tasty. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Visited this morning with friends, myself and one of my friends don’t eat or drink dairy, and they had no dairy alternative milks as the “order didn’t arrive”. There is a supermarket a few doors down, and there was no suggestion of going to get a carton of soy or almond milk. If they had no ordinary milk, they would have facilitated this I’m sure! So a coffee morning turned into a sad, black tea kind of morning. Little disappointing to rule out options for customers and make them feel unwelcome, and for this reason I probably won’t return.

Had a family breakfast here. In the area there is plenty of choice for eating so it's little wonder it's so popular. Well proportioned meals are served from an extensive menu. Service is fairly fast, serving staff are helpful and friendly. We'll worth a visit.

Went to No.36 for a quick lunch today, really tasty sandwiches, impressed with the flavour combinations and plenty to choose from. Saw a few brunch/breakfast options being served they looked fab, I’ll definitely be back. A very unpretentious cafe and very reasonably priced.

Only reason I’m giving a 3 was had a bit of a wait for the food but it was busy, the food was great great Irish breakfast shame about the wait

Had brunch this morning with my husband. Place was busy and managed to get a table which was quickly cleared and table wiped down. Staff very friendly. The breakfast menu has a great selection. I ordered an American breakfast which was fresh pancakes bacon egg and hashbrown with a side of maple syrup. My OH had a protein breakfast - two sausage two bacon two eggs two black pudding and beans. I had a minor issue with my pancakes and I must say it was the best customer service I think I've ever experienced - my meal was re cooked and it was taken off the bill. To be honest I would have been more than happy to pay as the issue was sorted quickly with no attitude from the staff. We both left feeling full, very happy with the quality of our meal and extremely happy with the customer service. Will definitely return and would happily recommend to friends and family.

We visited here for Sunday brunch on the advice of a friend. Really extensive and varied breakfast menu. Lovely thick bacon. Good pancakes. Large portions. Will be back for sure.

Really good café, with good service and large menu.. Often some specials . This is fairly 'standard' café - in that they offer fries, scones, salads etc..but the quality is certainly well above standard. Staff are great, and music is usually pretty good (one thing that often annoys me!) .. One of my favourite go to places for reliability, price and quality.

Have been a few times. Great breakfasts, good choice for lunch good coffee and really friendly helpful staff. My daughter had the pancake stack - she ate it all. Rest of us had the frys - delicious.

Visited for the first time on a dreary, wet January Sunday. Nice atmosphere with no overpowering background music so we could actually talk to each other. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. I can recommend the blueberry pancakes & the bacon and sausages were top quality. Thanks!

An extremely busy place especially at lunch time. Many of the customers appear to be regulars, a good sign. Despite the busyness of this small place it has an extensive moderately price menu. Service was friendly and served reasonably promptly. Parking spaces nearby can be difficult to find.

I like to visit this place as often as can as I love their open sandwich breakfast. It may be a small place but food is lovely and people are friendly

Nunca he tenido una mala experiencia en aquí. La comida siempre es hermoso, tan sabroso y con una buena relación calidad-precio, no es excesivamente caro. El personal es siempre muy amable y acogedor, y hay un buen ambiente en la cafetería. Lo único que tengo que decir que porque es tan popular, si te encuentras en una época a veces hay sin asientos, pero eso es algo que no se puede evitar.

Really enjoyed my coffee and was offered a refill which was really kind, and my friends loved their food. The decor was great as well. However this page says vegan options which unfortunately turned out to be jam and toast which was a bit disappointing and misleading.

For 6 months this place has had a sign saying their card machine is broken. Had to walk in lashing rain to the end of the road to get cash to pay my bill - I wasn't the only customer unhappy about it.

I can across No 36 by accident during a long walk. I stopped off for lunch and can honestly say I will be back. Great service and the food was delicious. Set in the heart of East Belfast on the main Belmont Road. Nice lunch and breakfast menu to suit all tastes. Free wifi and only downside is parking quite difficult if driving. Local magazines available to customers also.

Called in for breakfast. Ordered french toast, it was raw and soggy. My husband had burnt fry. I asked them to take french toast away and bring me ordinary toast.still a disaster the toast was cold and crispy. We arrived in cafe at 11 am food arrived at 1135. I will not be back. They are very expensive.

I don't know if there's been a change of ownership/staff,but No 36, whilst still good (& better than many of the competition in the area) has lost a bit of its edge. Food still good but service seems to have slowed to a crawl (& it wasn't crowded).Probably 3.5 stars, but it used to be a consistent 4 star.Hopefully it was just an off day

We are spoilt for choice on the Belmont Road for good coffee shops and places for breakfast & lunch but you'd go far to get better than No 36 Great food and very friendly staff but get in early as it's quite small and fills up fast Flat white and French Toast to die for

Was just in bank holiday Monday at around 2, the cafe wasn't busy but after Ho wrong around the door for 5 mins without being seen to, we took a seat another 5 mins passed without anyone coming close to us, I went up and asked for menus and instead of being apologetic I just got handed the menus without even as much as a there you go. Ordered the cream cheese and no36 breakfast and the food was lovely, a really good feed. I asked for some red sauce with my meal and the waitress disappeared 5 mins later she was serving the table beside us and they asked for red sauce which was brought down straight away it was only then she realised she had forgotten us, we were never asked if everything was alright with the meal, after finishin my coffee I could of done with a water for the rest of my meal. In summary the food is great but the service could be improved

Love this place- always a different soup of the day, always delicious (today's was cream of potato with bacon and chives). The salad bar is fantastic- so good I bought extras to take home- noodles with masses of sesame flavour, plain chicken breast, rocket with red onion and balsamic, new potatoes in curry mayonnaise, chunky Waldorf salad, coleslaw (nicely dry not drowned in mayo) feta cheese with salad leaves all so fresh and just £5! Probably the best food on the Belmont Road. Quick service too!

My mates and I had a fine brunch here this week. The food was very good, a hot dry fry, fresh orange juice and good coffee. Service was very good. The only problem is the decor. It's grey, dark grey, dull, depressing grey. No doubt it is very cool and trendy but surely something a bit brighter would work better.

I absolutely love this place and it has quickly become our first port of call when we go out for breakfast. By this stage, we have pretty much worked out whole way through the extensive morning menu. Whether it be a classic fry or more modern cuisine, we've genuinely loved everything we've tried. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Used No 36 for an event in the office on Friday last. The owner Ian turned up spot on time with hot and cold food. My colleagues looked in amazement--and then ate the food--and all said best lunch ever !!!!!!

Went here for lunch a few weeks ago. I've been past it a few times but it never looks like much. I had a fried breakfast sandwich, it was pretty great, and the coffee was good. Service was quick, price wasn't bad, got a red velvet cupcake to go cos I'm a big man.

I have recently moved away from Belfast and one of the main things I will miss is No. 36 in Belmont. This is a lovely little cafe with pleasant staff and delicious food. My fiance and I used to sit at the window on a Saturday morning having an Ulster fry and a cup of tea and watch the world go by on the Belmont Road. They do healthy options as well for breakfast and an amazing club sandwich.

We ordered a large and varied "carry-out" meal for work last week (for 12 people) and it was put together without anything wrong being delivered. It was still piping hot when it arrived here, food was lovely and was very well received by all! Everything is made fresh and you can tell.It is quite a small venue, which is nice in one way but fills up very quickly and can be difficult to get a table sometimes, but all in all a first class place to eat

Belmont road has lots of cafes. None of them come close to no 36. The location offers lots of on street parking. Service with a smile, and food comes out pretty quick. Nice cozy atmosphere, with reasonable prices. All food to date my family have had has been delish, with yummy scones and tray bakes to take home. It is now a once a week lunch treat for my mother and I. Highly recommend the tuna & cheese melt panini with red onion and peppers, comes with salad side, few crisps. We even push the boat out and share a bowl of chips, best chips out. 5*

We visited this morning for brunch . The menu was very comprehensive and the atmosphere busy and friendly. We ordered the American Breakfast and No. 36 fry which were both delicious. Lovely meal.

I can't say enough great things about this place. The food is fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious! Love the salad bar, the specials, sweet potato chips, pancakes with streaky bacon (why would you use back bacon), and do much more. Oh and the best hot chocolate in Belfast. The staff are fab too. Superb food, this restaurant is in a class of its own. The food is prepared and presented in a class of its own. Delicious is actually an understatement.. We often go and would rather wait for a table here than go elsewhere. Simple scrambled eggs and smoked salmon are consistently superb. Have tasted some of menu and can't wait to taste the rest. Chair lattes are the best I have ever tasted, and consistently so.

Had all day breakfast on a wet tuesday, and it was the nicest fry up i hv ever had. Waitress was lovely and was perfectly happy for me to customise my brunch. Delicious bacon and sausages, freshly made pancakes. My friend had the american pancake stack with maple syrup. Will definitely return.

We were looking for something quick & easy near to the Strand Cinema, and this seemed to be our best bet (Given that there have been a number of food establishments at this location after Gourmet Burger Bar who haven't been up to the mark..). It turns out that it wasn't half bad. I tried booking online, so my first problem was that my reservation hadn't gone through the system. However the staff obliged and offered us quite a nice table regardless. Food generally was excellent, maybe a little overpriced but nothing frightening. Beef & Ale "Pie" I had (More like a layered irish stew.) was excellent, and a decent portion. OH had Lamb shank, which was so good i didn't get any of it. Dessert was a bit of a let down given the high standard of the mains. It took a while to arrive, tasted a bit mass produced and the strawberry tasted (Unintentionally) of garlic. Whoever was chopping the veg picked up the wrong knife i assume. Staff were very friendly with the wine mid priced and enjoyable.

Staff much friendlier than Olivers across the road, where there is a very grumpy, pompous, dark haired waiter and he's always like this. Girls in 36 cant do enough for customers, service is just great. Love the french toast, delicious. Would recommend this cafe.

First visit and won't be my last. Had the No.36 as I am a greedy git. My friend had the brunch with a few adjustments which wasn't a problem to the lovely/gorgeous girl that served us. If you haven't been you are missing out on fab food and service. Thank you. No.36

Lately the Belfast brunch scene has become so pretentious, with trendy, overpriced venues springing up in the east particularly. 36 is a hidden gem - lovely food, great prices, really friendly staff. How are people missing this place??

Great place to go a grab an outstanding meal whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner. Love heading over on a Sunday morning to have a relaxed cooked breakfast and watch the world go by on the Belmont road. The full range is excellent and very filling howver I would certainly recommend the open breakfast sandwhich the relish on the wheaten knocks your socks off.

Plenty of competition nearby (how do they all stay in business?) That said, No. 36 remains consistently good at what it does - breakfasts & light meals for the mid market. Properly cooked breakfast, pleasant & efficient service from the staff.

I met a friend there for some food ahead of a meeting held by the Positive Living Network in the cafe that evening.The service was very good.Food was tasty and I will definitely go back.

On the Belmont Road you are spoilt for choice when it comes to breakfast yet I always find myself wanting to come back here. The food is delicious - I've eaten here countless times and it is of a consistently excellent standard. I'm a big fan of the open breakfast sandwich and Irish breakfast (always washed down with their gorgeous coffee) but tried the French toast last week. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back to sample it again!So the food is great and there is also a lovely little buzz to the place but what really sets it aside from the competition is the staff. They couldn't be more friendly or helpful and welcoming. If you ask for an amendment to your dish it is always greeted with "no problem" by the waitress rather than the obligatory scowl delivered in so many other places.I can't recommend No. 36 highly enough. If you haven't already tried it then what are you waiting for? You will not be disappointed.

So many offerings on Belmont Rd the breakfast capital of East Belfast. Tried No36 and was really impressed. Lovely breakfast menu - bagels stacked high with sausage and bacon or huge French toast but I had the open sandwich breakfast. Wheaten bread with Ballymaloe relish, rocket two sausages two crispy back bacon and poached eggs. See pic. Delicious. If you were being picky the room needs some proper banquettes it something to soften the interior but as a fan of Bennets and Olivers I can safely say the food and menu beat both hands down.

Called in to try a takeaway sandwich. Tried the pulled roast beef, horseradish, red onion chutney, Stilton & rocket and it was so good I went back the next day and had it all over again! Friendly and accommodating staff during the lunchtime service. Busy with good vibes and nice decor. Will definitely be back to sit in - the all day Irish breakfast looked tempting for Sunday brunch.

The restaurant is located on the bustling Belmont Road. This was my first visit and I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and quality of the food. We decided on the 36 all day breakfast and it was very flavoursome, with good quality sausage and bacon. There is a good range of coffees and flavoured waters and we enjoyed our Suki teas. There is an excellent choice of brunch options and we will definitely return again.

This is bustling cafe-bistro with a lovely, good quality menu, featuring locally-sourced foods. We went for breakfast and were impressed with the range and quality of options: range traditional cooked Irish (in various combinations and sizes), American pancakes, and French toast, among others. I was delighted to be able to have the French toast gluten free. There were lots of big parties leaving and coming in at the same time which put pressure on the staff clearing tables but service is excellent and friendly.

Went for early lunch and the place was full but we didn't have to wait long for our food which was great. Menu varied and lots of choice. The food itself was gorgeous, the pancake stack with bacon was fab, just too much for me to eat! Staff very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back soon!

For my boyfriend and I, it's our favourite place to visit for breakfast or lunch. We frequent No.36 regularly and have never, ever had reason to complain. Our go-to-dishes are their American Breakfast - a delicious stack of fresh, fluffy pancakes, juicy bacon strips, maple syrup, fried egg and a hash brown.And a mini-fry, which they'll cook whatever way you like without a second thought.The staff are always helpful and pleasant, too.Please check out this amazing little cafe!

This is a lovely wee cafe with good quality food. The people working there are friendly and pleasant. A nice experience.

Had the lunchtime special of chicken and bacon pie, and was not disappointed. To say it was tasty, would do this pie a disservice. The best pie I have ever tasted, (I'm from the North West of England, so know about pies). I would gladly cross the Irish Sea again, to be welcomed by the friendly staff and eat excellent food. Hats off to the chef.

Delicious breakfast with good service is hard to beat and No 36 delivers both! We really enjoyed our breakfast experience this morning - food was excellent and the service attentive. Would high recommend.

My husband and I recently had lunch here and were not disappointed. The service was quick, the food was really lovely and very fresh and the tray bakes are yum! Plenty of variety on the menu and all very reasonably priced. One of the best spots on the Belmont Road for lunch :)

The East of the City is quickly becoming the foodie haven of Belfast and no where demonstrates this better than the very tasty, friendly and affordable No. 36. A personal favourite is "The Irish Open" but the whole menu is great as are the specials they serve day to day. Service is great for such a busy restaurant and we always manage to get a seat, so go check it out the next time you're in this part of town, you won't be disappointed

This place has an extensive list of various sandwiches, toasties, wraps, bagels, salads , soups, scones, buns etc,. The list is massive, AND it features a varied amount of different and fairly creative fillings. Everything is super fresh, it was quick. The portions were big and the value is fantastic. Never mind being right in the hub of 'cool' that is the Belmont Road, if you bought this up the country, it'd still be as big and cost the same, which is remarkable. One of the best sandwich/lunch stops I've visited.

Had the American pancake breakfast. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the pancakes were made in situ rather than bought in. They were a bit 'heavy' & chewy so didn't finish them.

Would go here quite regularly with my girlfriend for breakfast and have never been disappointed yet. Food cooked to perfection and very little waiting time. Staff are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

I have visited here at different times for coffee and absolutely love their scones - delicious! They have a lovely range of baked goods - and a more unusual range of things than you normally find in coffee shops - all gorgeous!

Visited on Friday night before Mothers Day. It was BYO wine. The menu was set so I went for the steak with homemade chunky chips. . It was cooked just the way I like it and the sauce was a great.

Nice atmosphere here and the food is very tasty. Freshly cooked and locally sourced. Good coffee and friendly service.

I visited at lunch on a Saturday. It was busy but we still got a table without a wait. The menu is excellent. You can have breakfast or lunch all day. Great selection of frys, pancakes etc and so many wraps, sandwiches, salads for lunch. I had a pulled pork wrap. It was delicious. Lovely side salad. Staff were all so lovely. Very helpful and friendly.

Great selection of breakfasts eg. Ulster fry, pancakes, freshly baked scones. Good coffee and tea and service very friendly. If you want fresh, local produce this is a good place to go for breakfast or lunch.

Just love this cafe. Wide and varied menu but staff will always make an effort to get you what you want. No rush on your table and you can linger over a lovely cup of Suki tea and a traybake watching the world go by.

All good home made and fresh produce. Staff excellent. Owner friendly. All meals made fresh on the premises. Good value for money. Worth a visit. Take away good also.

I attempted to have my lunch here but unfortunately I had to leave before I could order as the staff ignored me. I entered on my own at approximately 2pm. Only one other couple were seated and they were having their order taken. The waitress clearly saw me. I sat at the window on a small table for two. A few minutes later a group of 4/5 women entered and sat at a large table followed by a couple who sat a few tables down from me in the window. The waitress brought the ladies menus and then came down towards the window, I assumed to take my order, as I had now been waiting 10 mins without anyone coming near me, and I was ready to order. The waitress went directly to the couple, took their order, turned and returned to the kitchen. No acknowledgement of me even being there let alone an attempt to see what I would like. I got up and left. Disappointed as the food is very good there and I was looking forward to sampling their special pork and chorizo burger. I could understand if the place was really busy but when I came in I was customer number 3. Very poor indeed. I won't be back....

Went with a couple of friends for lunch. Have always highly recommended the cafe, however this time it just wasn't as good as usual. Ordered a few items from kitchen however they weren't in stock which was disappointing. BLT was just ok and shortbread was disappointing. Friend has blueberry pancakes which were good as usual!

Started going here when Olivers was full one weekend. Had the blueberry pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup - and have now probably had it a dozen times.The pancakes are some of the best I have tasted. Occasionally I'll swap it for a fry but the food here is excellent as is the coffee. The staff are very pleasant and the café is a bit roomier than Olivers. The selection on the menu is more extensive than some of the neighbouring cafes and my wife has enjoyed a number of varied dishes with good quality produce. Prices are slightly cheaper than the neighbours as well making this another great restaurant in Belmont

The Belmont Road has a short 100m section of shops, restaurants and coffee stops in east belfast. Should not be overlooked for the often over promoted Ballyhackamore area.Thirty Six is one of a group of really nice modern coffee shops along this section. The benefit is that here is a more genuine place with good food and talkative friendly staff.A clean white interior combined with dark wood and chrome tables/chairs and bench seating. The wide whole glass window allows lots of light and a view out regardless of window sitting customers. A couple of outside tables will seat 2-4. Varied menu for all day with specials listed inside table menu folders. Typically aimed just right around £5-7 for most meals. Selection of good and slightly different traybakes with scones etc.So ... find it easily just at the pedestrian crossing with the large parasol front.

I have eaten in no 36 several times and never been disappointed. The soups are gorgeous, sandwich selection very tasty, scones melt in the mouth and tray bakes yummy!I have recently left work and plan to spend lots of time at no. 36!
