Great meal. Good service. Enjoyable atmosphere. Recommend.

The restaurant was nice inside (although could do with a re-paint) and the service was excellent, but the penne arrabbiata was horrifically spicy. I'm very good with spice but this was on another level and sadly I could only eat around one third the dish.

Far too loud for a dinner date. Couldn't hear myself speak and left with a headache after all the screeching from young girl groups. Not really suitable for a night out to eat, more of a party place.

I took my family for an early Xmas treat including our 9 month old grandson. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The menu has lots of choice and was delicious. It’s not overpriced and everyone had a great meal. Will definitely return.

Had a great evening with the girls from my Zumba group. Excellent atmosphere, staff really helpful and overall the food was very good considering it was from a set Xmas menu ( only thing I wouldn't recommend was the Christmas pudding - everything else was great). Would definitely go back.

A good first time experience at Nino's. Very friendly staff but not enough servers for a busy evening. We were going to order dessert but it just took too long. The food is good, portions on the smaller side and designed to go with starters and dessert for a full meal experience. It is a small place so we ended up being seated so close to the party next to us. Staff are polite and friendly, prices ok for the quality.

We three gluttoneers invaded this delightful eatery to celebrate my wife's, Angela's birthday last Tuesday night, and it was better than great. We were welcomed into an inviting ambience of romantic lighting, light tiles and coloured walls, and shown to our favourite window table. Amidst the polite murmer of chat and laughter from diners already there, and the lovely background music, accompanied with a perfectly concocted Aperol Spritz and a Pornstar Martini, we made our selection from a varied menu, especially when you include their specials' board. James, the proprietor extraodinaire, and the others made us feel right at home with the banter and laughter - great. We soon made our selection. All three of us went for the Mango al Granchio; Nino's do the best this side of Essex. There followed Involini Pescatrice, Saltimbocca Romana. and Linguini Gamberoni; all were faultlessly prepared and presented, and the flavour was astounding. This culinary perfection was baptised with a chilled Prosecco, and it truly woke your palate up. We then concluded this gastronomic extravaganza with a shared Apple Pie and ice cream with a surprise candle and team Nino's singing 'Happy Birthday' with their quirky horn - wonderful. We finished off with a lemon tea, black Americano, Cappuccino, and black Sambucas - plus complimentary ones from our gracious hosts - grazie mille! Yet again, Nino's have raised the benchmark in cuisine excellence, friendship, and laughter. Our compliments to the chefs in the 'hot room' for their artistry and kind attention, and a huge 'thank you' to all at Nino's for an uplifting dining and birthday experience. Nino's is an exceptional local Italian restaurant. Everything is fine right here, the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The menu offerings look simple, but the preparation and execution of the meals is fantastic. Spaghetti Carbonara is the best I've had here. It is also always worth looking at the specials of the day, we often order our starters from it. The scallops we had last time were amazing. Everything is reasonably priced here and definitely offers great value. We're very fortunate to have such a great restaurant so close to us and already looking forward to our next meal there. If you're in town, give this place a try. You may find yourself returning again when you crave Italian food.

Having been to Ninos on a number of occasions, this has to have been one of the best experiences. We were a party of 13, and the service was amazing, the food was great, and the overall experience was fantastic.

Sunday 13th August Nino's hosted our group of 13 for a celebration lunch following the renewal of our wedding vows. We had a fantastic relaxed meal. Food and service were excellent. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant who have provided consistent welcoming service to friends & family for more than 5 years. They managed to accommodate our group around a single table setting even though since the initial booking our guest numbers grew from 11, to 12 and finally 13. Staff were very attentive and flexible. We were able to bring our own cake and incorporate this into the dessert service. Many thanks to the whole team!

Had lunch at Nino's, it was a pleasant experience the restaurant was clear and attractive and the staff was warm and welcoming. As it was a mid-week lunch it was quiet with attentive staff. We opt for the lunch menu you could get 2 courses for £19 or 3 course £23 - which is a great deal. I wasn't a fan of the calamari or mushrooms starter. As I felt the calamari was a bit oily and didn't particularly like the texture of the stuffed mushrooms. The main course was good portion size left feeling full. The Apple pie dessert was definitely the highlight it was delicious. For parking, we utilized Sainsbury's 2 hour free parking just across the road. All in all it was pleasant and if I was in the area I would go again - to see Saci and the team.

You're always greeted warmly and shown to your table. But we've come to know them all at Nino's over the years, and it's like meeting friends, and we were soon made to feel right at home. The background music was at the right decibel level and pleasant. It was quite busy, and the hum from other diners already there created the right ambience. The chat and laughter soon began, and armed with a perfectly concocted Aperol Spritz and two Pornstar Martinis, we made our selection from a varied menu, especially when you include their specials' board. Our starters comprised of one Avocado and prawns, and two parma ham and melon dishes: the parma ham was a wonderful contrast to the sweetness of the melon and a great precursor to the mains; the avocado and prawns vanished in seconds, ably devoured by my sister. For our mains, we all went for the whole lobster linguine; it was fabulous in texture, freshness, and flavour, with the pasta having absorbed the sauce to perfection. This culinary delight was baptised with an Orvieto Amabile: a crisp, white Italian wine with a hint of sweetness that complemented our meal splendidly. We were just too full for dessert, so concluded this gastronomic debauchery with a Cappuccino, black Americano, and lemon tea with accompanying Sambucas. Plus complimentary ones from our gracious hosts. James, the proprietor extraordiaire found time to have a chat and share some laughter with us after his efforts in the 'hot room', and it was great catching up with him. But this is what makes Nino's so special: their friendliness, chat, and banter which uplifts your dining experience to the stratosphere. Grazie mille for an unforgettable dining experience, the chat and the laughter. Our compliments to the chef for all his artistry and effort, and to all at Nino's. Two went for the Mango al Granchio, and one went for the Scallops Thermidor Pie; every dish was perfectly presented and was full of flavour. Our mains consisted of Scampi with rice; a Seafood Linguine; and a Gamberone Linguine: again they were all prepared to perfection in flavour, texture, and taste. This culinary excellence was christened with our favourite wine: Orvieto Amabile; a light Italian white with a hint of sweetness that complemented our meal splendidly. We found room for dessert: the birthday boy had the Apple Tart with a surprise candle and the guys singing 'Happy Birthday'. Many thanks for the rendition. We concluded this gastronomic brilliance with Sambucas, Ameretto, and a lemon tea, cappuccino, and black Americano. Plus, we had complimentary ones from our gracious hosts. This high standard of cuisine excellence, service, friendship, and laughter is the hallmark of Nino's - grazie mille! It was a truly uplifting dining experience. I have reviewed this restaurant numerous times each time it gets better and better. today 11/06/2023 it was my great pleasure to go again with my wife for our close friends 60th diamond anniversary as on every occasion it is the best restaurant we have attended the welcome is fantastic staff the best nothing is too much trouble excellent food cooked and served to perfection I have recommended so many people who come away as we do and repeatedly go again some travelling a long distance. I strongly advise people to go and like us you will certainly go again top marks to James and his wonderful staff regards Stan and Carol Davis

Visited last week for lunch with a group of friends. Plenty of choices on the lunch menu. I had stuffed mushrooms followed by veal milanese. I then had the chocolate fondant for desert. Great service

Don't bother with the Duck with Orange... it's a slice of orange that comes with it. Also charged £16 for a toddlers chips and chicken. Won't be returning sadly.

We went to Nino’s last month and had a really delicious meal. We don’t visit this restaurant that often, but we received a warm welcome from the waiters there when we arrived. Whilst looking at the menu and the specials board I had a very well made Cosmopolitan cocktail whilst my other half had a gin and tonic. We then both had the mango granchio, which is a really tasty starter consisting of mango and fresh crab, which we had on a previous occasion and enjoyed so much we had already decided to have this again if it was on the menu this time. For our mains we had their Involini Pescatrice and a Abbacchio Forno, which once again were delicious. I then had my favourite ice cream which is rum and raisin, which we shared and then from our window table we then did a spot of people watching whilst finishing off our bottle of chardonnay. It’s a touch expensive, but the food that you get is really good and I can highly recommend that you visit.

My partner and I went here for a celebration dinner. Easy to book and with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. Menu choices were great and the service was exceptionally friendly without being intrusive. The availability of gluten-free pasta for my partner was a real bonus! Probably the best restaurant in SoWo!

It didn't take us long to make our selection: we all went for the Mango al Granchio; Nino's do the best with truly succulent and sweet mango and fresh crab, with a presentation of a sunburst design, and a refreshing taste that makes you drool - we were lucky not to be arrested! Our mains comprised of an Involini Pescatrice, Linguine Gamberone, and a Saltimbocca Romana; yet, again, the presentation and prepartion were faultless. This culinary excellence was baptised with a perfectly chilled Orvieto Amabile: a clear Italian white with a hint of sweetness, and which complemented our meal wonderfully. I love Ninos but wish there were more vegetarian dishes.

Firstly the food was excellent however, the restaurant automatically charges a 12.5% service charge. With Karen mode engaged, I must say this is a massive shame as dining at the restaurant, including the not so cheap imbibing of beverages should be enough of a monetary reward. I fully understand this seems to be a trend these days but it really doesn't take into account people's circumstances (what's to say someone hasn't saved up for a meal as a once a month or indeed yearly treat). I also understand that such a charge can be challenged however, patrons shouldn't have to do this in a public arena and made to feel awkward and that they are being difficult. A service charge or "tip" should be based on subjective circumstances and of course the subjective experience of the patron at the restaurant: this isn't the USA and if staff are relying on the service charge to top up their wages then this is worrying in the extreme. So just to confirm, fantastic food but the service charge clearly is an issue for this Karen.

Was treated to dinner there by my visiting mother-in-law. I ordered the linguine with steak slices with mushrooms and cream, whereas my wife had duck breast with orange and veg, and my mother-in-law had the spaghetti marinara (with seafood). Food was exquisite, great pasta with oh-so-soft steak slices. The other two also loved but their dishes, but unfortunately, couldn't finish (I'm a big eater). However, they had space for dessert (don't they always), so they had apple pie and crème brulée, followed by a cappuccino for wifey and a limoncello for myself. Great food, very friendly waiters and a lovely little restaurant overall. Only criticism from wifey: smaller portions for the mains and bigger portions for dessert 😜

Our selection consisted of scallops and bacon, avocado and prawns, and mussels in a Pernod sauce; all were perfectly prepared and delicious. Our mains were as good: halibut with trimmings, and two of us went for the gamberone linguine; the taste was an explosion on the palate. This culinary delight was christened with a superb Orvieto Amabile: a brilliant Italian white with a crisp and slightly sweet taste. One of us found room for profiteroles. We concluded this gastronomic extravaganza with black Sambucas, black coffee, lemon tea, and a cappuccino. We then had complimentary ones from our gracious hosts - grazie mille. We were then presented with a gift of a bottle of our favourite wine - perfetto. It's the friendship, chat, and laughter that elevates our dining experience at Nino's. The food was very good - classic Italian - and the wine and the service were excellent! For a Wednesday night the place was packed which must tell you something! How ever the bill was horrendous! £300 for 2 of us!! (must have been the wine)!! Will save up and go again!!

Great atmosphere but food was over priced, under seasoned and not as described on the menu. Service was ok. Was sat at the table and given a drinks menu, but no food menu for about 30 minutes. Had calamari to start which was so stringy I almost chocked 3 times, it tasted like frozen calamari that you would buy in a supermarket and I left more than half. There was no seasoning or flavour at all. I ordered the steak pasta for my main, however it had only one piece of steak (that was tiny, about 3cm) - I raised this with the waiter who asked ‘are you sure you ordered steak pasta’ and then said he would speak to the kitchen but never came back and nothing was done. The flavour of the dish was lovely, but I paid £18.50 for a steak pasta with no steak? They also take a £20pp deposit on booking, which of course comes off the bill at the end but £20 is a high deposit when most places are £10. I wouldn’t go back and don’t recommend.

Had a lovely meal here. Food was really good and the service was excellent. I recommend you go before 9pm though as it gets really busy after that and the music get's pumped up and the Younger ones start to party. Not that it bothers me but if ur just out for a meal with ur partner and wanna a chill night then book table for 7 or 8pm or maybe go during the week.

Staff are very friendly, great atmosphere and fantastic food! Definitely recommend to anyone! Only thing that could be improved is having vegan options listed on menu rather than having to request/ask.

For me the star of the dish were the lamb cutlets with the mint sauce. The meat was cooked to absolute perfection and it’s one of the few places where the lamb melted in my mouth. For starters we tried the prawns, bruschetta and the mushrooms filled with veal meat which were all a bit underwhelming. Overall I feel like there was lack of seasoning for my liking however the meat was cooked with a lot of care. You should definitely go an try this place at least once though as it seems to be quite popular with the locals. For me it’s a 3.5/5.

Visited Nino’s for dinner on the 10.06.22 with a good friend. We both loved the place. Staff are amazing including the owner who made us the most delicious cocktails. The 80s music was on point and the vibe was just perfect. Best food ever.

Been going for about 15 yrs Was refused entry at 2.08 when we looked and paid for parking and online states closing time is 2.30 Won’t be going back!!!!

So I'd never been here before and really enjoyed my main and dessert. My WSM (wicked step mother) has been here many times and was equally happy. What impressed was that there was a sizeable birthday celebration over multiple tables and the 3 servers were attentive and cheerful the whole time. The food and value means Nino's is worth a visit if you're hankering for Italian.

Had a wonderful experience at Ninos with a group of friends. We had a great night with delicious food, flowing drinks & the obligatory party afterwards! The staff are attentive and the bill was very reasonable considering we had 8 or 10 bottles of wine. Love Ninos.

Had a birthday meal here recently and aside from a few hiccups with how well-done steaks were cooked (they promptly rectified this which was great), this is really nice place to eat with really cool waiters and lovely Italian cuisine. It's cosy and easy to find, but depending on the number of diners might be a little noisy. That just shows how popular it is. I would definitely come here again.

Absolutely delicious! Had a scallop and prawn starter - best scallops I've ever eaten. Had a beautiful fillet steak pasta dish and monk fish wrapped in parma ham. The cocktails and food were all made fresh and scrumptious. The waitors were very attentive and gave us everything we needed. A little expensive so be prepared to pay more than the average. They will also charge you for the bread that is on the table when you arrive - it is not free!
