New Taste Chinese Takeaway in Amber Valley

Ordered at 6.50 told it would be 30/45 minutes and still no food at 8.10 phoned to ask they tell us he left 15 minutes ago and won’t be long, phoned again at 8.30 to be told he’s had to take another order because he couldn’t find our address 😅. Food arrives at 8.45 COLD and not an even what we ordered! phoned again to tell them we want our money and the driver to collect the food (and his just eat bag that he left at our front door😂) very rude young girl on the phone being cheeky lying telling us she packed the food and knows it’s right! Never in my life experienced something so bad. Disgusting!

we stayed at Riddings wood Caravan park and was recommended New Taste by the Seven Stars pub. I called our order through for 4 people, asked for order to be delivered for 8pm, it was bang on time. Driver called me, I walked up to meet her, when got back to Caravan, food still piping hot. The ordered food was top notch and tasted great. We had a mix from chicken curry to chilli 🌶 beef chips and mixed starter. It was great. Food sublime.

Placed an order at 6.10 , was told the order would arrive at 8.25, it then changed the delivery time to 9.15. The food arrived at 9.55. I rang their phone 70+ times and you can’t get through to them because the phone is un hooked. I work in food , I totally understand and appreciate that the covid 19 situation affects everything but this was absolutely taking the mick. The order was nearly £50 and when I asked for some money back they replied we won’t be giving any money back , the restaurant was busier than expected’ This takeaway obviously cannot deal with the volume of orders so they shouldn’t be allowed to confirm them. 4 hours wait for 9 items is an absolute joke and I will never use them again. Very angry and disappointed.

After having tried many local Chinese takeaways over the years we have recently found New Taste to be our favourite.The food looks and tastes like it has been cooked with pride and passion along with generous amounts of meat.

We use this Chinese quite often and the food is great our friends always comment how good the food is when they come around on an evening in. I always collect the food myself so I cannot comment on the delivery service.

Lovely food, great delivery time, but they didn't have the juice we asked for, so gave us an alternative to which we didn't like. A little shy with the Chilli Beef too. Will definitely use again.

i will not be ordering anything from this place again i think the service and the delivery drivers are a waste of space.... first delivery came and a curry sauce was spilt over everything so we asked for a replacement and that came partly cooked....change of ownership means i change my Chinese place......and according to the telephone staff her own words.... we are having/getting loads of complaints....

Lovely food just a shame it arrived nearly an hour later than it should have. Rang them after waiting 25mins and was told "yes he's leaving now he should be with you shortly" then had to wait another 35mins til it arrived.

Generally a really good chinese takeaway; with brilliant food with plenty of flavour. However recently it's been arriving stone cold, that's simply unacceptable. Also been lacking in freshness, is it under new management? I guess it's a new Chef or we order when the new guys on because some times its awesome! Needs to be fixed! Consistancy is key; and constantly SLOP microwave trash from tesco isn't worth buying.

Very poor Chinese, microwaved surely! The sweet and sour sauce tasted like sweets. The delivery driver was a goon and couldn't find me for ages

Didn't give us everything we ordered and when questioned (upon receiving delivery) said that they would be right back with missing item. Never returned to us. Very very poor customer service.

Yet again nearly 25 mins late delivering. The food was cold, yes cold! We have ordered here for the past 2 years or so and it's been excellent until recently. This is the last time we're ordering here. Never again.

I order regularly from here but it's sometimes a bit hit and miss, food taste has always been excellent but I found a blue elastic band in my Foo Yung one night and on another occasion I found a chunk (and I do mean a chunk) of grit in my Beef in Black Bean Sauce!!! 😳

Food was delicious, Had a variety of main meals and all were better than expected ,had our meal delivered on Boxing Day evening , requested for 9 pm and arrived on time , will be ordering from New Taste again !

Totally disappointed. Usually lovely. However tonight's chicken was so uncooked and pink. It could possibly still cluck. All the rice was cold, we paid for a bottle of coke and they only gave us a can, and all in general it just wasn't enjoyable at all and a total waste of money. Only nice thing was the prawn crackers.

Food was delicious and plenty of it for your money! Delivered in 20 minutes as well, still piping hot. :) Would totally recommend.

Takeaway amended delivery time. Still didnt turn up. Just eat advisor closed online chat on us. Food turned up with bones in.

Food taste bland and no flavour in the salt and chilli chicken also undercooked, rang up to complain to be told nothing they can do!

Again order was wrong I asked for no veg in my curry and no sauces on my spare ribs as I hate both chips were not fresh and obviously re cooked!

Slightly disappointed, always order from new taste and usually perfect. Ordered beef chow mein specifically stating for no bean sprouts and vegetables. When it came it had more bean sprouts than noodles, so I couldn't eat it :(

The food arrived lovely and hot. 25 minutes before it was due so even better for me because I was hungry.. very good value and portions are large. Will definitely be ordering again.

Not good, said an hour, two hours later no food, had to get just eat to call, took another 15 minutes even though driver was just around corner according to them!! Even more of an insult they marked it as delivered after an hour, yet didn't arrive until well over an hour later!! Would like to say was a one off but was the third time, won't be bothering again, shame as used to be good and food hot, last few times has had to be warmed up, if I wanted to cook I wouldn't order a takeaway would I!!!! Don't bother if want your food before 11pm!

Delivery was over 2 hours! Amazing food, but really not worth the wait! Ordered at 7:25, delivery confirmed for 8:25, and was delivered at 9:25 after a phone call. Lost our appetite by then and driver didn't seem at all bothered!

Ordered at 2020 food didn't show up till 2150 despite 3 phone calls requiring where it was thier answer every time was "it's on its way" girl on the phone was rude and abrupt driver was abusive. Food cold by the time it got to us. Ridiculous service for the prices charger absolutely will not be ordering again!!

Wasn't happy at all to be honest food is normally really nice, but the chips were horrible the rice didn't taste right and it took almost 2 hours to get to us doubt we will order again!

Food was nice. Was very disappointed by how long it took to deliver; was told 40 min wait time (8.25pm) but it didn't arrive until 9.15. I would probably order again if desperate, but I'd choose to go elsewhere if I was particularly hungry.

The ONLY place we'll order Chinese from! The food has been AMAZING every time we've order, never been let down. The chips are cooked to perfection and the portion sizes are HUGE!!! Excellent value for money and delivery is always before the estimate. Can't fault them! Perfect!!!
