New Stepney Hungry Horse in Carmarthenshire

Came back to visit after moving away and the service, prices and quality were still just great. Leanne and Kristina made me feel looked after from the moment I walked in, and the rest of the staff are just as superb.

Booked online which was simple process, friendly welcome when we arrived, ordered at the bar which was easy enough. Starterscame quite quickly which was good. Had combo plate starter which was great and tasty. Only gripe was that main course turned up before the starters were cleared away so had problems with space on the table. Quickly resolved. Staff were very friendly and nice. Food was good quality and portion size. Can't really knock it for a reasonable price. Good experience, will be back.

Arrived here at about 8pm on a Saturday. Was fairly empty asked if we could sit on a particular table were told by a waitress she would have to check with the manager. The manager came over and said that as there was only two of us we would have to sit on a small two person table as they were keeping the four tables even though there were plenty spare. Never been told this before and shortly later the restaurant emptied out even more, when people in couples arrived later they just sat where they liked unchallenged. Nice drink, this particular manager needs to update her customer service skills won't be going back made to feel awful.

My favourite place to eat and have a drink in town. Staff are always friendly especially Jerome and Ebony. Always make you feel welcome, great customer service always helpful, and always enjoy the food.

Service has improved considerably. Been here twice since my last review, gentleman was very accomodating, and was able to find me a table on both occasions. It seems to be busier now, and especially with winter, it is a nice place to go just out of the cold weather. They have already begun their xmas menu, which hopefully will be sampled soon. Will continue to dine here for now.

What a joke the place is. We booked for 4 . But wanted to change it to 5 guests and the extra guest is a child we were told yes this morning it was not a problem to add a extra child. Only just had a email saying that we can not add the extra child. All I can say what a total joke. We used to like going for food there. But from know on we will be taking our custom elsewhere. How can you treat people in this kind of manner

I love coming to the hungry horse to have a drink with a friendly face. Jerome always welcomes us. However we have noticed that staff are run off their feet today (this has no impact on staff friendliness) but customers do notice staff need more help.

This is the worst experience I have had here. Wait time was horrendous to start with. Ordered the new Xmas menu, no one checked on me during my food, burger bun rock hard. burger and turkey both severely undercooked left biggest part of my meal. The woman didn’t even ask if there was an issue just took plate and said do you want your dessert now. First day of Xmas menu and think the staff need to be shown how to cook food correctly!

This place is fantastic, It’s really good value for money, the food is always beautiful, we’ve never had a bad meal here, My kids love coming here as there’s so much choice for them to choose from and the staff are always so friendly which makes it a great experience. Keep up the fantastic work as always feel they never get enough credit for the hard work they do.

Best breakfast anywhere, bar none. Friendly, helpful staff & hot well cooked food - who could ask for more. My day goes so much better after a New Stepney breakfast. Would highly recommend to anybody.
