New China in Waveney

We were staying just down the road, so was very convenient. The service was a bit chaotic ad the lady 'helping out' did not speak very good English. All the food was tasty and fresh, although the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was more like tiny little popcorn chicken with a very runny/weak sauce, but tasted OK. We would use again if nearby.

Had seen this place mentioned on TripAdvisor whilst reading reviews for Broadland Sands resort and all seemed positive. So glad we tried it as was brilliant. Ordered over the phone and told to pick up straight away. Being only 3mins in a car I had to wait 5mins on arrival which was expected to be fair. The food was piping hot. Generous portions and delicious. I imagine we'll be returning to Broadland Sands again so will definately return to this place.

We have had many takeaways from New China and usually think of it as 5* for food. However, our meal on Saturday was extremely disappointing and if it had been our first there we would not go back. We had spare ribs in black bean sauce to start - one of our favourites but this time it was tough, fatty and full of gristle. Sauce was oily. Dreadful. Meat in our rice dish and main course was not great - too much waste due to skin, fat and other inedible parts. Veg and sauce in main course were fine. Overall a real let down on something we look forward to.

ordered from broadland sands whilst we sat at the bar, two nights running. the food both nights was great, really fresh, no grease, lovely flavours. delivery a quid and within 30 mins. very good standard of food and service and prices good value. they also have 5 stars out of 5 on scores on the door for h&s and hygiene which is well deserved.

We had a large meal delivered. Arrived promptly at our caravan on Broadland Sands. Was hot and delicious. So tasty . Have used this Chinese for a few years now when we come on holiday and have never been disappointed.

Found on trpadvisor, 6 mins from where we were staying. Ordered over the telephone and it was ready for pick up by the time I got there. All very tasty and they threw in some mini spring rolls which were tasty and a nice touch. Of note they only take cash and there isnt a cashpoint nearby (luckily I checked when ordering).

Visited for a take away during the week and I have to say this was the best Chinese I’ve had! The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The only thing I will say it was cash payment only on that particular day so if you’re visiting be sure to have cash just in case as there didn’t appear to be a cash machine nearby. Other than that it’s fantastic if you’re in Corton or Lowestoft definitely head there!

Came here having read conflicting reviews. We thought the food was delicious, the salt and pepper ribs were amazing, the meat fell off the bone as if slow cooked, the beef curry was exactly that, not packed full of mushrooms as is often the case these days. The one slight inconvenience was they only accept cash, no cards. Other than that, bang on.

Lovely and tasty. Rang in the order and was very quick. Prices very reasonable. Would come again if in the area.

Chose this takeaway for ease of location and what a choice. All 8 of the party gave it rave reviews. Tasty food, generous portions big hit allround.

Just had a meal from New China Very very tasty. They even gave us spring rolls and prawn crackers for free. The only comment from me to improve ever so slightly would be to make the curry sauce for the beef curry a little bit thicker. I totally recomend and will be visiting again Thanks

I was down in the area with some friends for the weekend, we ordered a takeaway meal from them, the food was piping hot when delivered, the service was really good, overall definitely a great experience, highly recommended!

This is our number one Chinese takeaway in this area. Every time we visit our caravan we call in here for our takeaway. The food is substantial, non greasy, delicious, very competitively priced.

Rang up and placed an order for delivery. Food came relatively quick. This Chinese is our favourite, not full of grease.

On holiday in the area and enjoyed 2 great takeaway meals . Great value and very tasty. My partner enjoyed the mixed starters and being a vegetarian I was happy to see tofu on the menu.

We ordered a takeaway at 6.45pm and was told it would be an hour for delivery, over 2 hours later we still hadn't got it so rang to find where it had got to, only to be told it would be a further 10 minutes....

2.5hrs wait for delivery! Crispy squid was warm and soggy! Kung-po prawns was like sweet and sour in batter! Not good! Very disappointed! Won't bother again!

Staying locally, and New China was recommended by friends, and we were not disappointed. The food was very tasty, reasonably priced and delivered right to the door within no time at all. The honey ribs were the best ever. Will definitely be getting another family...

Waiting time unacceptable! Ordered for collection around 5:30 given pick up time 6:40. Turned up at time to be told not yet ready. Waited 30mins more only receiving once asked again if nearly ready. £10 refund given as compensation. Very poor organisation. On positive note food very nice. Shame as would have been 5* rating based on food.

After lockdown it was great to visit our holiday home, we have used this takeaway for a number of years whilst In hopton and yet again first class service and always tasty food

Ordered at 6:30. Called at 8:30... now cooking. Called at 9 now going in the bag... called at 9:30 it’ll be two minutes. Asked why it was late, three excuses given including run out of supplies, busy and had to re cook the order. Offered a £5 discount and free prawn crackers.Food it’s self was only lukewarm but it tasted nice.. it was our first time trying this takeaway and now the last. 3 hours for 5 items is not acceptable.

We used new China twice while we’re staying in the area. Both times the food was excellent and plentiful

We usually have our food delivered from this Chinese takeaway and it’s really good.Our usual order is chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls, crispy chilli beef and Kung po chicken. The food usually has plenty of flavour, the Kung po is nice and spicy and has loads of cashews in it. The chicken balls aren’t greasy and there’s plenty in a portion. In general the portion sizes are good. The only complaint we have is the sweet and sour sauce. We tried a different Chinese this evening due to the unusual tasting sweet and sour sauce but the food was no where near as nice. Can’t really explain why it tastes different, it may not be as sweet as others? We will definitely go back to using New China but may have to substitute the sweet and sour sauce for something else.

Ordered lots of dishes as we were a group of 11. Food was ready for collection when they said it would be. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

This take away used to.be very good but has lately let quality slip on two recent occasions for me.This is borne out by other local.people who have stopped using the New China Only the salt and pepper chips are worth havingIf you have a delivery then check the contents before they go as it was frequently missing items when I used it and they are reluctant to put that right afterwards

Ordered a chinese and though we had to wait an hour for delivery it was worth the wait. It was hot, the containers were full and the food very tasty. Will definately choose this establishment again.

This take away is reasonable in price, the food is very nice and the portions are quite generous. Delivery can be a bit of a wait (an hour+), collection is much quicker (30 minutes). As we were staying locally we decided to collect. There is parking right outside. If you google the take away, there is a link to the online menu (last years). Menu is quite extensive. We spent £37 on 1 starter, 4 mains, 2 large rice and 1 noodle. Not expensive at all. We received free prawn crackers, spring rolls and 2 deep fried chicken wings for free. It was a nice experience and would return if we are in the area again.

We were staying at broadlands sands holiday park and fancied a Chinese takeaway. Found this takeaway on line and the reviews were good so gave them a call. They delivered quite quickly to our caravan. The food was delicious, we were given some chicken wings for free which were really nice. Would definitely use again if we are up that way again.

Very disappointed tonight. We were celebrating a family birthday and ordered at 18:20 and was told it would be ready for 19:35. When we went to collect it wasnt ready and we finally got the meals at 20:15.

We were staying at a local Caravan Park and decided to have a take out. We were not disappointed, so much so that we went back again the following evening. Very professional, great tasting food and plenty of it.

This takeaway was popular with guests staying on the local caravan sites. The menu had a choice similar to that in most other Chinese takeaways. While my partners meal was good and similar to that which can be purchased throughout the country my meal, which was described as a special was very bland and tasteless. The staff were very efficient and the food came quickly which was a good point. Based on our experience the quality of the meals are a bit hit and miss here.

Had a take away from there last night could not fault it curry was lovely the staff really friendly service was brilliant just like the food

We ordered a take away for 9 people twice last week whilst staying nearby, everything was correct and very much enjoyed! The food was ready quickly and the staff were friendly and helpful. I particularly liked the fact they have a kids menu, haven't come across that before at a Chinese restaurant and it was really useful for the one awkward child who's a picky eater!

I really, really like this Chinese, fresh food and good quality. My first choice for a takeaway. However I live about 4 miles away and they charge me £2.50 for delivery compared to most Chinese’s the delivery is expensive.

This is one of the best Chinese takeaways in East Anglia. Every dish we have had has been excellent. The place is very popular and at busy times in the tourist season it may take a while for your order to be made up, but if you place your order and ask for it to be ready for collection at a stated time, then you can pop in The White Horse pub next door and have a drink or two whilst you wait.

I often use this take away when returning from a journey & cannot be bothered to cook, highly recommend the ribs.

Mi marido y yo afortunadamente tengo, simplemente instalamos en Corton. Hemos tenido dos comidas de la Nueva China, y tengo que decir, que estaban deliciosos. Buenas porciones y cocinado a la perfección. Mejor que nuestro antiguo local chino en Surrey.

La comida era buena, realmente me gustó la cena Pato aromáticos, cuatro era más como suficiente para 5 o 6. Yo diría que la calidad de la comida precio reflejado, y comparados con los precios, es un poco más de lo que normalmente paga. Nos salió gratis, alitas de pollo y gambas arriba, cracker de verdura fresca y muy caliente, esperar un poco, pero terminamos yendo en persona como nadie contestando el teléfono. Parecía la entrega fue realizada por la misma persona que estaba tomando pedidos telefónicos. Sólo en efectivo, no tarjetas.

People served before me all questioned the totals.The reason they (and I) were shocked is that chips and or rice are charged separately on top of being more expensive than anywhere else, 2 basic Chinese meals came to £15. Bit of a captive audience though as there's nowhere else nearby

Since we moved from the other end of town we have started to use this takeaway!Always had a good meal and at the same price as other takeaways in the area.You get free stuff the more you order and there is new dishes on the menu which we will be trying in the future.

One of the highlights of my holidays in Corton was a meal from this take away. Sadly it has changed hands and the meal I had this week was inedible. Ordered at 19.10 it was delivered at 21.20 whether it had been cooked and kept hot for delivery I do not know but the egg fried rice was a solid glutinous grey block and the noodles were like a spaghetti that has been totally overcooked. King prawns in batter were soft and doughy it didn't look nice and tasted even worse. If you have had a meal from here before and thoroughly enjoyed it, think hard before you use them again.

I cannot forego my usual weekly chinese meal even if I am on holiday and so was very happy to find a take-away near where we were staying which also delivered if needed. We actually called in for our order: friendly Staff, nice clean waiting area and were soon on our way back to our caravan where we had a very enjoyable meal. All the dishes we'd chosen: Aromatic duck, crispy chilli beef, special and beef chowmeins and sweet&sour chicken were large in size, reasonably priced and so very tasty - yum yum yum!I really wish this was our local takeaway!

Freshly cooked tasty chinese fayre. None of that greasy residue looking at you when you open the container either. I recommend there pancake rolls.If you're feeling lazy, they will deliver too!

If you are on holiday in the Corton area and want a fantastic chinese meal, this is the place. The food was delivered to our accomodation piping hot and within 15 minutes. The portions were very generous and reasonably priced. This was the best chinese take away I have had for a very long time, so good that we had another one later in the week.

Had a take away from here easter friday, they delivered to our caravan park no problem. It was soooo nice, really good price too and quick delivery. Would recommend!!
