Neptune Fish And Chicken Bar in Glasgow City

My go to place. However; after ordering a hoagie and chips cheese and curry sauce, a dinner wrap showed up with a tub full of curry sauce and less than a handful of chips. Very disappointed.

Got this as I was staying at a hotel wasn't nice at all pizza tasted strange.

I must say that this is the best fast food in the city

Never get a Munchy Box fae here donner meat was freezing cold rotten they had a cheek tae put two bits of chicken pakora in it rotten won't be ordering anything else fae here🤢

Just ordered a mixed kebab but because they had very little chicken doner left I was only given a tiny bit of chicken. When I mentioned this I was told chicken is very expensive! If it is expensive put your prices up or if you don’t have enough food to fulfil the order don’t take it!

Last visit wasn't the best food was prepared fine just lacking flavour

Genuinely the worst takeaway I’ve ever had. It was honestly inedible. It’s all clearly cooked from frozen and burnt to a crisp. Seriously, do NOT go here. Wasted £20.

Great service, such friendly staff even served me just after closing time. Food was unbelievable and shop was kept in great condition all clean. Definitely recommend and will be back soon

I've got to say, anything less than 5* is very unfair. The food and service is amazing! We had a large seafood pizza which was delicious! Very crispy and light crust, excellent spread of toppings without it being too much, and perfect cook. The chicken nuggets honestly rival KFC, which may sound ridiculous but you have to try them. No grease, full of flavour and very crispy even after travelling home. It may not look like much from the outside, but you don't want to miss out on this place. Arguably the best takeaway in Dennistoun. Service was also very quick and friendly. 5/5!

Your average chip shop, in most respects. Nothing outstanding in any direction except for the over-small fish tank they keep in the storefront, which desperately needs cleaning. Not a good look, and I'm docking a star for poor animal welfare.

Sorry to leave a bad review, but the meal we ordered on Sunday night was horrible. Refried, tastless and rock hard fish and chips, very late, but they did apologise. We ended up giving the birds it, but even they refused it. Sorry, won't be back!

Very over priced for chips. Service was quick and lady was nice, but she was scrapping around for chips rather than just making a fresh portion. Chips weren’t great and pretty cold. Think £3 was the portion size given is a rip off.

This chippy has seriously went downhill. A few years ago it used to have quality fish, chips and pizza but had fish and chip supper last night and it was horrible. The fish was literally as hard as cardboard. I said to the man at the desk that it was rock hard and he just said 'that's the way it's supposed to be cooked, nothing wrong with it' and he just argued with me and refused to cook another one. My friends also got suppers which were hard and not nice. Chips weren't good either. Won't be back.

Terribly spoken to, asked why my order was cancelled and received no info and a ‘goodbye’ without an answer with them saying they called us but we received no missed call. Wont be ordering from there again.

Increíblemente desdeñoso servicio al cliente. Llamé y pedí una pizza, todo lo que obtuve fue actitud y tonterías pasivas agresivas. Fui y lo recogí y obtuve más mala actitud. Trataron de excusarse diciendo que estaba ocupado cuando no había absolutamente nadie en la tienda y estaban trabajando muy lentamente, muy claramente una mentira. También sus pizzas son increíblemente caros. Hay muchos otros chippies en el área con mejor comida, no hay razón para someterse a la maldad de este pequeño agujero.

Conseguimos pollo pakora que era fresco pero tenía demasiada pasta, bien en un pescado, pero definitivamente no pakora, mis papas estaban claramente en aceite tibio y no caliente, ya que se servían frías y podrían haber estado frescas por más de media hora hace.Mirando hacia adelante a mi pollo shawarma (kebab), pude ver el pollo cocinando en el asador giratorio y pensé que sería tallado de esto, pero fue extraído de una olla lateral y dentro del recipiente, estaba seco, duro, viejo y listo. honesto horribleEn épocas anteriores pensé que este shawarma era bastante bueno, nos cobraron 10 en total y no regresaremos, le arrojamos las papas fritas a las aves, dejamos la mitad de la pakora y la otra mitad de la shawarma, no volveremos allí. Es suficiente hacer comida rápida fresca. Puntuación máxima 3 de 10

Love here.. although I have left with less than I have paid for (more than once).. it’s a cracking chippy.. fresh dough for pizza not the bought in base.. cheese burgers are my fav.. no really a fan of the chips but I think it’s more to do with what there cooked in

Food quality was not great and small portions. Delivery too 20 minutes longer than advised and when I called to find out where it was the service over the phone was minimal.

I use this place a lot. Good chippy food and delivered quickly. I felt bad that I didn’t have a pound coin for the driver.

One of the toppings on pizza should have been spicy chicken but was just plain chicken. Aside from that, pizza was great.

Can't fault our order at all. I'm a bit of a pretentious foodie and we ordered for a guilty hungover treat, but - hand on heart - my donner calzone was unimpeachably delicious. The nicest thing I'd eaten in an age. My partner really enjoyed his pizza and my pal's fish and chips were proper lovely. Will definitely order again.

Neputunes has returned to its former glory after my cold chips last week. This time pizzas and chips were absolutely delicious and piping hot. Base tastes home made - can't recommend this place highly enough when their food is at its usual standard.

our food was cold when we received it. we also paid for 2 cans of irn bru as well as the 2 we got in the meal deals but did not receive them.

ordered food from here at 6pm, the food was delivered at 20 past 8 and it was freezing cold by the time it got here, staff were very rude! strongly advise against ordering from here!

This food was over 2 hours late and completely cold. With no apologies. They also would not answer any calls I made to this establishment. Being busy is understandable but the ignorance is unacceptable.

The food tonight was absolutely horrible, all dishes we have ordered in the past and have been deliscious, but tonight it was horrible the donner meat tasted like undercooked plastic, and the chicken kebab like burnt rubber, not to mention the sea of grease at the bottom of the bag, the grease actually hid the taste a bit, but then I may aswell have drank a glass of vegetable oil for my dinner.

I understand it’s the festive period but the food delivery was still very slow. Waited around 1 1/2 hours for food (approx 45 mins later than suggested delivery time) which was quite poor when it arrived. Wasn’t very hot and quality not great, which was a shame. Didn’t deliver juice with the order. Delivery guy said he had tried to call but no one had answered, which obviously wasn’t the case, so didn’t get chance to order an alternative. I’m assuming they were obviously very busy but no excuse to compromise quality. Mushy peas were dreadful!

After phoning to complain about something with the order but agreeing to continue the order. I waited for over an hour before I called again looking for my order to discover they had cancelled my order. I never received food and their service was terrible. Never ordering from there again.

Very unhappy with the service this evening.food was an hour late and when I called the restaurant the driver hadn't even left yet. The person on the phone said it would be another 10-15 mins after already adding more time on to it. No apology from the man or the phone or the driver Absolutley ridiculous service . Wouldn't order from here if you want to eat on time or it to be warm when it eventually arrives.

I got a baked potato and spicy chicken and macaroni cheese it was the most disgusting food i have ever had recieved awful customer service and cheek from the takeaway and they refused to help i will not be ordering from here again complete joke of a place !!!

Food was disgusting: mushy peas were very sour tasted like they had soaked in vinegar for a few hours. Fish had bones in everywhere not really edible and batter was so soggy, chips were really greasy felt like they had been cooked hours ago and just reheated. Curry sauce was like water no thickness no flavour nothing. Battered sausages were anemic didn't look like they had been cooked properly and didn't taste nice at all. Food was not hot either it was luke warm. Our order should of been £15.90 delivery man didn't even know how much our food was and questioned our address and food order twice. The only good thing about the meal was the bottled drinks of Irun Bru and Diet Cola Cola. Definitely won't be ordering from here again.

First time ordering. Fast delivery, polite delivery driver. Food was good and fresh. Definitely order again.

Order was 30 min late and some pieces were missing.

Burger was great but ordered fried chicken supper and no chips came took a bite of the chicken and there was blood oozing out all through it. Still waiting on a replacement supper but totally put off now.

Ordered a stuffed crust Milano pizza with smoked sausage and received stuffed crust smoked sausage pizza missing 3 main toppings with very little cheese on it. Couldn't afford to wait any longer to receive correct pizza order as had to go to work so most of it went in bin. Frustrating as Neptune's pizzas are usually great so can only hope it was an off night for them.

Chicken was slightly pink which has worried me. They also need to write on the menu that a chicken twister is a wrap as I thought it was chicken strips and then a wrap arrived. Never follow my instructions asking to put salt and vinegar on the chips.

My order was just over 32 minutes late, and lukewarm. I phoned the restaurant, and was told it was because they were busy! Bad customer service.

Delivered the wrong type of Fanta. Mozzarella fingers were solid and under cooked. 16" pizza was the wrong base.

Curry sauce was disgusting, it taste like plastic. I phoned up they wouldn't give me a refund and the guy on the phone was so ignorant and continued to say there was nothing wrong with the food when there clearly was then eventually hung up the phone to me because they are "very very busy"

Food was cold when arrived waste of money

Usually very good but today very poor - failed to deliver, I had to chase this up with just eat, takeaway claimed the had tried to call - I had no call. Then turned up 10mins after me complaining with my order and story about how it was the wrong number they got from just eat and this was my fault - same phone number I have used in the app for several years. Also order was wrong!

Waited 1 hour 50 minutes for Delivery.

Took 90 mins to deliver and the garlic sauce pot they included (didn't request) had busted making 50% of the food inedible :(

Really good food again! Pizza didn't have as much cheese as last time, but was still really good! Food arrived a little bit cold, but not too bad. Will definitely order again. Need to address the delivery fee though, after that and card charge my meal was nearly 50% more expensive than I expected.
