Naz's Rasoi in Medway

We were staying overnight locally and found Naz’s here on Tripadvisor. The great reviews are correct, We had an excellent experience from start to finish, really efficient service and the food was extremely good.Husband tried one of their specials made and named after certain customers, it was a sizzling lamb dish, the lamb was extremely tender. Everything was good sized portions and piping hot with a hot plate supplied to keep everything warm as you eat.Couldn’t fault the experience or the size of the bill when it arrived. Lovely.

We visited last night after ordering a takeaway via JustEat last week and being SO surprised at the quality. Really pleased we did, the lamb in my Naga Special was melt-in-the-mouth quality, and husband's chilli garlic chicken has - he tells me to my surprise - converted him from a 20 year habit of chicken tikka, which is testament to how nice it was!Good Covid-practices, and excellent service. The house white was also really nice, which was a nice surprise.PS the address on here is wrong, it's now in Frindsbury, just up the road from Strood, in a lovely old pub building, with tasteful decor and a nice atmosphere.

Went for a family birthday celebration. The atmosphere and staff was excellent as was the food. They supplied hand gel on the table and the staff all wore masks.

Just delivered to us at Gillingham marina. Hot and delicious. Reasonably priced. Couldn’t ask for better service on phone and letting us know when he was arriving. Tandoori King prawn and Lamb Pasanda. Absolutely divine. Will definitely use again. Thank you Naz’s.

Thanks to Naz and his Team for a superb meal on New Years’s Eve.New Year’s Eve was always going to be a mad evening for takeaways but you didn’t let the quality suffer - the food was maintained at your usual very high standard.We picked up the meal, rather than having it delivered, so it was fresh and hot - we only had to wait a few minutes, having pre-ordered a couple of hours beforehand. Recommended meals were Chicken Pathia and Paneer Dopiaza (our special request, which again you prepared without question).Well done everyone - great service and great food on such a busy evening !!!John & Sue.

Collected a takeaway this evening which was first class and simply delicious.A special thank you to Naz personally for doing my son a Curry without nuts and you even kindly separated my parents dishes so we could deliver theirs as they are shielding!For anyone who has not tried Naz’s, do not hesitate since you will not be disappointed.Neil, Sarah and boys’.

Just enjoyed a takeaway from this restaurant and the food was lovely, freshly cooked not warmed up would highly recommend.

Meal for 3 ordered on the 14.95 special. Great value considering the quality of the food on offer. Covid restrictions in place (shame the other diners can't remember to flush the toilet....) Great food... well presented... friendly polite service and a nice environment... clean... nicely decorated... 10 out of 10 in an area not short of competition. Please be aware though it is not in the town centre on the high street but a 10 minute walk up Frindsbury Hill. I have asked the management to update their profile so we will see... overall highly recommended.

Visited on a Saturday night with girlfriend. Greeted warmly by staff and sat at nice clean, well presented table. Excellent food and extremely attentive staff. Definitely going back.

I keep thinking it will get better, but doesn't ! Several times asking for 1 thing & no joy.Asked for no coriander & absolutely NO ONION ( allergic) & this is what i received & not for the 1st time. Maybe time to find another Indian Also need someone who understands the English language to take telephone orders !

Visited tonight (04.07.2020). First of all the food was AMAZING, good prices also. All came out very well cooked and well presented. Timings between courses was perfect, staff always around if needed but not watching over you like some places. Given the current situation with covid19, the restaurant was very well managed and very clean. We had no concerns what so ever. Am so glad we went, and would definitely visit again.

Can’t recommend this restaurant enough.Even in these strange times their customer service is absolutely amazing and beyond. Under current circumstances the service is reduced to take aways and deliveries only but still the quality of their food is top notch. I’d give them 6 stars out of 5 at any time.Phil & Eve

Well. After being recommended this restaurant over the years by various regular diners, we finally booked ourselves in. We booked for 7.30 on a Friday night, for my husband and I, and our two children 10 & 6. Coats taken, drinks and popadoms ordered and promptly served, given plenty of time to peruse menu without being hassled. Extremely lovely staff, very helpful, smiley and pleasant. Was wonderful to have the children spoken to respectfully as individuals too. Cannot fault the service what so ever. Food was absolutely second to none, considering how busy the restaurant was I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality was superb. After years of working within hospitality management industry, it is clear that this is an extremely well run establishment. Thank you for a lovely time. Teddy and Tabitha loved their ice creams. If I could say one thing, it would be to perhaps look into adding a gratuity option to your card machines. We would have liked to have left a tip, however unfortunately we didn’t have cash at the time! We will be back!

This is the only Indian restaurant in Medway which provides a truly authentic but contemporary take on Indian classics and many new dishes. We try to visit at least once a month, and more when we can. The team, lead by Naz, are all very experienced, friendly and attentive. Thank you guys! X

Everyone has their favourite curry house and their own personal preference this clearly isn’t mine although there probably isn’t anything wrong with it. Went in this evening for the second time, whilst this was fractionally cheaper than my normal restaurant I would rather go back to Manisha and walk the extra 10 minutes to get there. Admittedly it was Sunday but we were the only ones in there! I elected for a chicken shaslick, the chicken was of an ok ok quality but didn’t seem to have colour other than pink/red perhaps I am used to seeing red and green peppers on a plate and it looking slightly more appetising. The nann looked a bit anaemic and perhaps slightly undercooked but didn’t look like it had a greasy shine. The other half had his staple of lamb dansak which was apparently ok. The highlight for me was probably the rice which was light and fluffy. The staff seemed to be attentive but given we were the only ones in perhaps not surprising. Maybe I am old fashioned but if you have a mouthful of beer in a glass, the glass should remain on the table or at least asked if you are done but no my glass was whisked away, perhaps they were trying to get rid at 9:30? Oranges were presented with the hot towels, I say oranges two small pieces, one each not even making a half slice of an orange! I’m used to having three or four pieces. For £35 I can’t really complain but I would rather walk that little bit further and have a meal which in my opinion is of a far superior quality.

Naz's curry house is the best curry we've ever had. Just amazing! The staff cannot do enough for you and as for the food... well I can safely say it's the best curry I've ever had! The taste was just out of this world! We can highly recommend Naz's!

Visited Naz’s Rasoi for the first time for a Saturday evening meal with family and was not disappointed. Great food with generous portions served in a relaxed atmosphere. Although the food did take while to reach the table this did not trouble us as we feel that at least you know it’s being cooked. Very reasonably priced as well.

Went on a saturday evening it was very busy but the food was good. We had to wait a little while between starter and main but that was ok for us as it made a nice slow passed evening.

Really good food with more than average sized portions served by friendly efficiant staff, the atmosphere is bright, airy and spaciouse.

Consistently great food and service at Naz’s Rasoi. Very relaxed atmosphere, we never feel rushed. Staff are very attentive and will happily tailor a dish specially for you.

Naz's has been consistently excellent for many years. They offer a relatively short menu but with dishes individually prepared and characteristically spiced.

Had a meal out with family and ordered lamb Tika starter and no way was it as clearly meat from some other dish as they I think run out. Weren't happy to be mugged off so won't be going back plus my son had a big black hair in his rice which they try to say it was his lol he has grown hair. Plenty of better Indians in strood & Rochester. WONT be going back.

Love this restaurant! The atmosphere is calm and lovely and the food delicious! The staff are attentive but not in your face. Clean too. Totally recommend

Came here to celebrate a family birthday. We have had this as a take away and it was gorgeous so we was eager to eat in!

I used to go to the naz when it was in Strood high street and it was always amazing, I was really disappointed when going to the new restaurant on Frindsbury hill last night , we was booked in for 7:30 and didn’t get seated, after waiting for an hour and half for our starters and nearly two hours for our mains I was really quite disappointed about how slow the service was. The restaurant has really gone down hill and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

The food is absolutely amazing! I crave it every week!!! I following a diet and I always ask no oil, no dressing etc and they always do it for me. They are so lovely, and a lot of care and love goes into the food! From presentation to flavour, everything is perfect! The owner always comes round to greet people, and all the waiters are vert attentive and kind. You may have to wait a while, but everything is cooked to order and it definitely is worth the wait! They do an offer where you get a starter, main, side and rice for something like £15 but they're only on certain days.

Visited for an anniversary celebration. Service was a bit slow to start with, but the food was delicious and well worth the wait. The new restaurant has a much better layout than the previous one in the high street. Parking can be a problem.

The restaurant was extremely busy but service was attentive and the food was served without any significant delay. It was great to find that the lamb with okra dish had been prepared from scratch. So many places barbecue the lamb on skewers first and then add it to a sauce. All of the dishes tasted freshly prepared and the wine list was reasonably priced.

Since re-locating to the old Bell Pub. in Frindsbury the standard of food and service are beyond reproach - have now been back several times for in dine and take-a-way and all times the meals have been the best and have met all my expectations when I want an Indian meal

I done a takeaway but as soon as I bit into my food I thought the chicken was chewy the food tasted decent but I just don’t like the fact it is chewy but I wouldn’t visit again I’m kind of disappointed…

Visited for the first time yesterday and was very impressed after trying majority of curry houses in Medway! The food was very fresh & service was spot on. Will defiantly be returning for a tribute night!

The Medway towns has been crying out for a restaurant serving this quality of cuisine. My first visit was January but then I've been twice in the last 2 weeks. Not only is the food the best I have had in years it is so reasonably priced. The staff are lovely. One thing to ask is can you make the Bombay potatoes a bit spicier please.

We were realy disappointed with the food we had delivered. Its a shame because when we had takeaways when they were based in strood, the food was spot on. As it was my birthday we decided to try nazs , bearing in mind this was our first meal from them since they moved. The food was barley warm and tasteless. We were very surprised as when they were strood based, the food was outstanding. Whats gone wrong Naz?

The restaurant has now moved to Frindsbury Hill, Rochester and this was our first visit since the move. The restaurant is in a larger premises (old pub) and has been tastefully done out. This was a visit on a Wednesday night and the place was full and there was a nice friendly atmosphere. I have never had a bad meal at Naz's and this was no exception. All of the food that we had was first rate and the service was good. Sad to see that some people have had a disappointing experience but we love this place and will continue to eat here. Number one indian restaurant in Medway Towns for us.

Not being local ..family choose the place based on previous experience. For me the food was nice even great but could have taken more time to cook the chicken on the bone... We got there early, bar service was not the best it needed two people based on the amount of people (busy night), the guy behind the bar used his hands to get the ice out of the ice bucket for quickness with dirty plate behind the bar.

We booked a week and half in advance and asked to be put in the main section of the restaurant as it was for 2 of our family members birthdays but was put in the quieter side. On arriving we were asked to wait in the waiting area, we were sat there 20 minutes before we had to ask for drinks whilst we waited. Once eaten felt very rushed as we were one of the last tables to leave (wasn't late about 10.30) grabbing our drinks as soon as we had finished them and felt they wanted us out. Very disappointed as heard good things and food was amazing but for the above reasons won't be visiting again unfortunately.

We arrived early,we ordered drinks. We ordered our meal there were four of us. We ordered starters and beer and wine. Our main meal arrived we all ate it quite quickly it was delicious. The service was very good.

Called for a delivery . When I called I could not hear anyone as the noise in the background was really loud ( music & customers ) . Then whilst on the phone to me, the member of staff picks up another phone & begins talking to them taking their order !! He couldn't hear me & I oujdnt hear him, IT WAS A JOKE !!! Will not be calling them for a delivery again & probably won't visit then. Customer service was shocking !!

so the whole experience went kind of... bad good bad. In that - Poor reception, great dining experience and a disappointing departure

What an awful experience at Naz’s, the portion sizes are probably enough for a child even though the food did taste nice. For the price of the food you would expect a bit more on your plate. The service was really slow. The main problems all occurred once we had got the bill. There was a huge over charge and if we wasn’t on the ball about it we would’ve been out of pocket a lot. As we was a table of 10 we had paid a deposit beforehand, when the bill came the deposit had not been taken off the total price aswell as 2 bottles of wine that had been paid for when we booked. After realising the problems that the restaurant had made we notified them and asked to see all the slips that made up our bill. When going through these we found 3 drinks that wasn’t for our table. SHOCKING to say the least. The staff then got aggressive and rude to us saying we was in the wrong even though we had pointed out their mistakes. We then got told that the poppadoms that they were going to give to us on the house were now going to be added to the bill. The restaurant need to give their staff some lessons in customer service. AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE.

I went for a meal for two and luckily we had plenty to talk about as the service, though pleasant, was really slow. It took 15 minutes to order, 30 minutes for starter and then nearly 30 minutes after the starter had been taken away before the main course turned up. I liked the food but I get the feeling that the kitchen is no where near big enough to deal with the number of seats in the restaurant.

We have used this Indian Restaurant for take away food over the last 3 months and have had a meal there too.

Visited here with family, the food and service is excellent! I would highly recommend especially Sunday - Wednesday there is an offer on. One of the best Indian restaurants in Medway!

Went mid week but, it was ages before we could order then ages for food to arrive. Had the 'Naz's special starter' - Wow - what a disappointment! It was the smallest starter I've ever seen in my life. Pathia was nice - Nan was terrible - over cooked and under filled (unless I've missed something, nan shouldn't be crispy!).

Naz's has moved to a new site at the corner of Frindsbury Hill and Church Green. We went there on Sunday evening and the meal was superb! Naz has already built up a great reputation in Strood, but the new site is lovely. He showed us all round the restaurant - even the kitchens. The site is awaiting a few tweaks, but no improvement is needed with the food or service. A really impressive meal at a competitive price! We will be going back soon.

This is the first time we have vistied Naz's Rasoi since they moved from the High Street premises.

I've had the pleasure of visiting Naz's twice in January, once for a networking dinner and once for a Medway Sunlight Rotary organised event. The food on both occasions was excellent and the portions were really big. I will be back whenever another event is arranged there.

This is about the new branch of Raz's on Frindsbury Hill. There does not appear to be a separate TripAdvisor page from the one in Strood. Four of us went there to try out this new establishment. They had obviously spent a great deal of money in creating this very smart venue and the staff are polite and pleasant. Sadly, they cannot choose their customers and when we arrived at 7.00 pm there was a very raucous party of about 16 people who made so much noise it was difficult to talk. Sadly, their departure overlapped with the arrival of a group of six high spirited and robust young men who only knew how to communicate by shouting at the tops of their voices and maintained the decibels of the previous party. It was all very unpleasant for a party of four who had planned to go out for a quiet dinner and probably did not put us in a mood to enjoy ourselves. The room was heated by portable calor gas heaters, so one was either scorched or cold. Maybe they are waiting for a new heating system. As for the food, my chicken tikka masala was not like any I have previously tasted, being totally swamped by the taste of coconut. My three companions declared the food to be average. We are very unlikely to return.

The restaurant was newly opened but was absolutely freezing in there. The service was awful and when our food did eventually arrive, although very tasty,it was luke warm. Would like to try a delivery but from reading the other reviews this has put me off.

Lovely restarant clean and friendly, unfortunately was very cold in there also had warm food, which had to send back main course disappointing.

This is the second time we have eaten at the gew restaurant in Frindbury Road. This time for a Rotary charity event. There were 20 of us and the food was fantastic and service excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.

As always Naz has supported Medway Sunlight Rotery frundraising dinners over about 5 years. Excellent service and his food is always delicious and seems to surpass our previous visits every time. His new restaurant is spacious and welcoming. A gracious host who cares what his customers thinks of the food and service and listens to what we say. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Certainly worth the trip from Northfleet.

SHOCKING! Ordered a takeaway through Just Eat at 6.30 for 7.30. By 8 no delivery, rang the restaurants phone number numerous times, no answer. Went online to check what was happening, the restaurant had CANCELLED the order!!! I kid you not! continued to ring on/off for the next hour, no answer. such poor poor poor customer service. This was the first time for using them since they changed location. We will not try again, very disappointing.

After being away for about three weeks only the best curry will do..

Naz’s place is a much bigger place with a great bar area. Food is just as good and atmosphere & serving staff are fab, friendly and very accommodating. The only negative I have to mention - there is additional seating area towards the back of the restaurant which I felt when we first went that we were tucked out the way and no ‘ restaurant atmosphere ‘ it looks just like a room not like a restaurant. I would definitely ask for a table in the main part of the restaurant if you can book in advance. Aside from that everything else is great.

Had a fantastic time here. The food was well presented and tasted really nice. That staff were great and so helpful. Great Indian restaurant

Had some great family news so headed for nearby Chiquitos. Never been there before and I was pleasantly surprised at the freshness of the ingredients. Loved my chicken fajitas and atmosphere very relaxed for all of us. Decor is a bit tired and service a bit slow but very friendly. Would go again.

Visited yesterday in the new restaurant, great space, looks fantastic and fresh all round, food was great, and the staff could not do more to help.

service and food quality seriously needs looking at . As its just opened i thought it would be exceptional but unfortunatley this was not the case . Hopefully in the future it will pick up.

Nice new location, however not many recognisable faces amongst the staff. Parking is a challenge but the premises are nice.

Was looking forward to our take away with our children, ordered at 6.25pm and it is now currently 9.00pm and our food has not arrived! We have rang numerous amounts of times with the guy on the other end constantly telling us different times. We were initially told 1hr 30mins . Never order from here! The worst customer service and the worst delivery ever! I will be advising others to give this restaurant a wide berth.

The restaurant has moved to 116 Frindsbury Road ME2 4JB. therefore it is bright and clean with the added advantage of it's experienced staff, so polite and helpful willing to advise and direct if required we shared all we ordered the Lamb melted in the mouth and the Biriani lamb dish was extremely tasty the green beans and dall side dishes fantastic this was a birthday treat for me and what a wonderful treat it was thank you

Ive been coming here for 8yrs now, since a work xmas meal that left a great impression.

We’ve been here a few times as a family member is friends with Naz and comes often. We were here celebrating and the restaurant was able to cater for our large party of about 25 of us with no problems. Good food and service.

We done here regularly, and the service is always good and the food excllent, the menu has some contemporary dishes whic is nice. Recommend this place for freshly prepared food.

From the moment you walk in u get 1st class service. The menu is well laid out and the food is fantastic

Service, food etc. were as expected. However, the occupants of the next booth were fidgeting so much throughout the evening, that the bench seat was moving visibly. Uncomfortable - worse still, they apologised as they left (so they knew they were being a nuisance).

Once again seeing family in kent, we took the family to dine at Naz's restaurant and as usual, we had a superb meal. Staff were very attentive.

I must admit we didn't go back for some time as I thought it was under different ownership although pleased to hear today it all the same crew.

We eat out a lot and I mean it. We have dinner out at least 3 times a week and sometimes more and throw the lunch in now and then...but we have been coming back to this restaurant for over 4 years now and in all fairness this place with their customer service makes the most expensive places just wish for the success like theirs

Just went to Naz’s after seeing some negative press. We wanted to show our support The food was as good as it always is. The service excellent and staff friendly but most notably the place was buzzing. People waiting at the bar. Which just shows how highly thought of the restaurant is. Keep up the good work Naz and staff. Great night again. X

First time ordering from Naz’s Rasoi and we ordered a takeaway for 4 people and thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. I highly recommend 2 of the customer dishes Lamb Molly and Sizzling Cobra which had excellent flavours and lamb Bhoona was a great choice for a child (9) that doesn’t want anything too spicy, my only real negative and this is petty is that Mushroom Bhajee was the tiniest portion ever compared to all other dishes, and whilst it was faultless it isn’t worth ordering to share around as literally a spoon full.

Really enjoyed our takeaway will definitely make it a regular.

The yoghurt mint sauce was fizzy and had gone off. The chicken for my chicken tikka masala was hard on the outside and bouncy on the inside. We have been ordering from here for 10 years, now I will never order from here again.

Frustrating as food was good but service was average and despite asking for the left over food to be boxed up, they just threw it away.

Well I never liked Indian food before but my friends wanted to have an Indian so I gave in.. OH MY GOD what have I been missing all my life? Absolutely lovely food! Thankyou for turning my taste buds! I cannot wait to go back!

Went nearly 2 weeks ago now. Took advantage of their 4 Dish deal for £12.95 which I think is available between Mon to Thurs. About half the dishes on their menu are part of this offer. Great food. All of us enjoyed what we had. There was 6 of us, ended up being a good Wed night.

Horrendous. Garlic chili chicken was just a standard dish with copious amounts of chilli powder thrown on. The "mango" chicken is a korma with some coconut sprinkled in. All nuclear waste in colour!

Ordered lamb chops to start, you get two TINY chops which have no tikka flavour and definitely not worth £7! The food was also cold and had to be microwaved. Very over priced for what you get. Very disappointing

After searching for a Indian restaurant in Stroud, took a punt on this place based on previous reviews. Well, this Indian is very good excellent service and could accommodate us without booking. The ambience and décor are modern and tasteful.

I have been to Naz's restaurant may times in the past. It just gets better and better. You will not find a better restaurant in the Medway towns. The customer service is second to none, the food is delightful and the atmosphere is brilliant. Oh and Naz himself is a wonderful man who makes you feel at home, will take the time out to know you and will always remember who you are if you visit again.

Great choice, easy to order and competitive prices. Food was piping hot and full of flavour, big portions too! Will re-order soon.

Take my wife for a dinner last Saturday, didn't booked a table, surprisingly it was busy, but they gave us a table at the back, staff very friendly and attentive, food were amazing, definitely come back, very recommended..

Used for a business meeting with a colleague. The ambiance and food were both excellent but it was a long time coming. Not to worry worth the wait. Staff seemed a little disorganised table near us had items missed and our food was not all delivered at the same time. Hence four rating. Will be back.
