The best fish and chips I have ever tasted. I drive a long way to get them and they are perfect everytime. I would not go anywhere else

Popped in here around 6.30PM on a Sunday after a family trip to Kingsgate Bay. There was parking directly in front for our 3 cars. 15 of us were seen to very quickly and food was served at a reasonable time. Plenty of space at the shop for all of us to eat in and seating and tables seemed clean (indoor and outdoor seating available). I ordered the large cod and chips with curry sauce which came to a total of £11.50 - very well priced considering how large the fish was and the amount of curry sauce given. Sadly battered halloumi wasn't available at the time. My brother bought a battered mars bar which I'm usually not a fan of but this one tasted surprisingly good. It's a halal chippy for those interested and vegetarian options are available.

Couple weeks ago visit Margate and Nazar Fish& Chips. We loved it.

Visit from September 2023. Was heavily disappointed with customer service first of all. Food was given to me with the box open for a takeaway and during this another customer was being served. Had to ask for my ‘takeaway’ to be packed, and I mean literally the fish and chip box open with the flap half folded. Then I thought no problem I know the food is good here but boy was I disappointed. Chips were heavily soaked in oil, the fish just full of batter and with barely any cod. So disappointed with this as this was really good a couple years back. Feel dirtier eating this than soho gals. Review from January 2021 Hands down the best fish and chips I’ve had. Let’s not even talk about how crispy and perfectly cooked the batter is. The fish is not soaked in oil like most fish and chips shops. The size of the fish is bigger than anyone’s head. Just wow.

Hier habe ich heute Abend die besten Fish und Chips in unserer gesamten England Reise gegessen . Das Personal war außerdem sehr freundlich . Wenn ich nochmal nach England komme ,komme ich auch hier wieder hin . Viele Grüße aus Belgien 😀

Well cooked and tasty fish and chips, I also ordered the chicken filet burger which was also very tasty. Would highly recommend if in the area. delicious halal fish and chips. They also offer free ketchup to pour on chips if eating in. Clean tables, seating available inside and out.

Chips were tasty and battered cod was nice not too oily. There were some seating side and out which were clean. They also had a shelf to put your own salt, vinegar and ketchup on, which was brilliant as most places now charge for ketchup! Great spot for halal fish and chips. I ordered the chicken filet burger as well which was tasty.

Mouldy burger buns - called up to complain told there was a new chef and food would be recooked if I returned but things like this really put me off!!!

The staff are always kind and patient. The food ranks up there with the best. I was born and raised in the Eastend of London and have eaten plenty of fish and chips, but these are truly amongst the best I've had.

Cant fault this place, large chips are a very large portion. Friendly service good selection of hot food. Not sure the vinegar is how it was in the old days .overall good for that Friday night takeaway. All handed to me in a lovely bag.

Best Chippy in Margate! We've ordered many times, and recently they catered for our wedding. The food arrived bang on time, and piping hot; with salt and vinegar too. Really fantastic service, we have absolutely no reason to go to any other chippy. Keep up the great work!!!

Food was cooked fresh and didn't disappoint

Visited this chippie over the weekend after a meet-up with an old friend, and ordered small fish & chips, fishcake & chips, curry sauce and some drinks. The price, wait time, service, and food were all incredible. Friendly staff, nice seating area and really great selection of food. Didn't realise the curry sauce I ordered was missing, however the food still bags a 5 star rating from me! Plan on coming back to try the curry sauce next time! X

We ordered Haddock and chips for delivery to the Walpole Hotel in Margate. The fish was delicious and the chip portion was massive ! Good mushy peas and of course a pickled onion.

Whilst the service was acceptable, the food was abysmal. Chips were dry and tough, with flavour akin to cardboard, and the saveloy was hateful. The smell it gave off was noxious, the meat was an unnerving colour and had a texture unlike any meat product you'd feel safe eating. I cannot fluidly express the extent of the misery brought about by the saveloy, it was something no reputable establishment should be willing to associate themselves with. In all, rest assured I will never be going to this place again unless they have a drastic overhaul. I implore everyone else to eat elsewhere too.

A fantastic fish and chip shop. The portions are huge (enough to share). Best chips in the area made from locally sourced potatoes. Staff are friendly too. They also do burgers.

Came here after visiting Joss bay beach. The staff were lovely and accomodating and the food was great, especially their fish and chips. Only reason I knocked off a star is because they charge 30p for sauces in packets which I've never seen before.

My husband brought fish pie and chips and peas fritter when we cut into it it was frozen in the middle.. As we only have fish and chips once in a while this really spolt.our dinner .took it back to shop and then had to wait for another one to be cooked had to keep the rest warm until my husband got back.. Will be a long time before we go back there ...
