Nando's - Windsor in Windsor and Maidenhead

Always great to eat in Nando’s when we’re in the UK. Plenty of searing available. Good good. Our son loved his Nandino meal.

Tasty food, came out quickly and absolutely great service from the team. Friendliest nandos I have visited! Hopefully will come back soon. Thanks for a great meal!

On arrival was told that there would be 15 minute wait for a table. Gave a phone number went for a look around Windsor High Street and was informed when our table became available. Food was good as is usual for a Nando’s. Waitress, whose name I didn’t get unfortunately, was excellent with my grandchildren. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.

We as a family are great fans of Nandos and have visited since 2000. My local Nandos is in Reading and has excellent food and service, so we are attracted to Nandos. on the 9th of January 2023, I visited the Nandos branch in Windsor with my visitors, unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the service and food provided in this branch. Sadly, I must refer to a female host who appeared to be the manager of the day, she was unprofessional and was not interested to engage with customers and did not even want to have eye contact with us. we ordered a meal platter, which comes with side dishes, she did not even bother to ask which side dishes we wanted and she did not even ask us whether we wanted to have any drinks. Most importantly, personally, I felt she treated us differently due to our colors. Previously I have been to this branch with my visitors 3-4 months ago, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and everything was perfect, however, this visit was very disappointing due to this particular staff and there was two other staff, who were great.

We waited 50 minutes for our food and watch all other tables around us eat and leave by the time we was there. We asked for an update on the food and clearly they had forgot to put it through no update was given to us after that and only a drink was offered as complimentary after a over 40 pound bill for two. Very very disappointed with our experience.

I went with a party of 5. When we entered we felt immediately how cold it was and a staff member even agreed . After deciding what we wanted went to order and the staff told us there was no more burger buns . We were then ordered something else we could have and that came with a bun because of what we were ordering??? All very strange wouldn’t return .. miserable experience

I’ve been here many times and never really had a issue till now the food was cold when it came out and the staff were just rude and looked so miserable they spoke to me and my family so rude without any reason and just wasn’t much help i don’t think I’ll be coming back any time soon

One of the best Nando’s I’ve ever been to. The food was lovely and well cooked. Fastest service I’ve experience, food was out in about 5min which is great with kids. Staff all friendly.

It was alright, the servers were super friendly and kind, but the food was a bit of a mess, and I had to send it back. Otherwise it was it pretty good and I’ll probably come back

I'm going to start with the positives because the food (as you'd expect with a successful chain restaurant) was awesome, the staff were amazingly friendly, good humoured and served with a smile. The place was absolutely heaving for a Saturday night and the lady at the door couldn't be happier as she juggled loads of people, the food came out so so quickly within minutes and came out hot and ready to go as you would expect from Nandos, servers were clearing down tables and serving food but always remained helpful even when I ran out of some condiments. .....so why "three" stars - the online ordering system was a complete let-down - the mobile signal was awful so we used the free WiFi but for some reason you end up needing to log in, but then you get sent somewhere else, but then back to ordering your food, I think we ordered three times before the system would take payment or even allow us to put it in our basket. For 3UK and EE users - our mobile signal was awful (not Nando's fault) because it's a busy Saturday night and Windsor is popular - so we opted for the free WiFi which was hit-and-miss, so my advice is know what you want before you go and make sure you have a Nando's account (or know your password) DON'T use Apple Pay (that never worked) I understand we needed to change how we order, because of what we've been through but if you're gonna tell everyone to order via the phones, make sure you have a system that can cope or a well designed system that guides you through ordering process - not a clunk fest that feels like you're back on the early days of the internet. (this isn't a local level but decisions by the upper management or the leadership who have never stepped foot in a Nando's - help your local guys out and invest instead of sitting in meetings looking at bar charts)

This is slightly more tightly spaced than other branches but it is due to the setting. The food was cooked and delivered quickly.

Shout out to the main man Victory! honestly such a nice, hard working guy! full of laughs and a happy face! makes customer service look easy!

To be expected it was busy on a weekend. The hostess was welcoming, the waiter was rude and had a bad attitude which I mentioned to the other waitress who mentioned he is usually bubbly and was told off today. Personal emotions should be left in another room, it can make guests feel unwelcome. Food was ok but our main came out seconds after our stater and there was no room on those small tables. Asked for no slaw in my pitta but the slaw was given!!!. Seating arrangements are too on top of people. Look at the numbers of COVID please and no one was wearing a mask!!!. I Will not be coming back to this Nandos for sure.

Just your usual Nandos - disappointed that the staff did not wear masks at all. Food was hot and tasty though and we brought our own sanitisers!

We popped to Nandos after a day around the city. We didn't have a booking so had a short wait for a table before being accommodated. Once sat down the rest was all of the high standard you expect from the brand. The staff were great, prompt and attentive service and the food was delicious too. The kids loved their meals too which isnt always the case, all in all, great value and would certainlyrecommend. Lovely restaurant with great staff and lovely views across to the castle.

Just had a takeout from Windsor branch and the food was really tasty. The only thing was the chip containers were half empty! We therefore only got half a portion of chips each. On the plus, they did get our fussy order correct.

I've always frequented Nando's when I go to Windsor, because it's great value, easy food, and it always tastes great.

Vamos a Nandos con bastante frecuencia y ha cambiado enormemente aquí en Windsor, el personal no es tan servicial como solía ser, los inodoros están sucios (hoy no hay papel higiénico en un inodoro, la cola era enorme) los cubiertos muy sucios. Hice un servicio de correo electrónico a los clientes varias veces, pero nunca volví a tener noticias. La comida como siempre es deliciosa y sabrosa. Nunca hay un gerente para hablar. El personal realmente necesita estar capacitado y ser capaz de tratar con los clientes adecuadamente. We love Nando’s and this restaurant was one of the best at 7pm on a weekday evening.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Nando’s is what it is and doesn’t try to be anything different. Sometimes, standard is just what you need.

Had to wait 20mins for a table but that’s to be expected at Nandos. Food came out within 5 minutes (annoyingly they didn’t wait for starters to finish before bringing out the mains). The food was yummy as expected, came out fresh and warm. Till assistant offered to help me back to the table as I had three drinks. The starter arrived before I could collect cutlery and drinks following making my order. Great service overall.

Service was quick, food was freshly cooked, and the price is just right. You can never go wrong with Nando’s.

Expectations were very low, and more or less met. I got some hot chicken eventually, Would only really go here is a) everything else is closed and b) I am starving

After a poor experience at the Westbourne Grove branch I was hoping this would be better. They ran out of chicken and we waited an hour as they prioritised home delivery over the restaurant!

Never bothered with Nados before and decided to take the plunge for lunch. The chicken was good and I can see why it's popular as the restaurant was busy. Would I visit this particular restaurant again, maybe not. I found the staff to be a little stand off ish which could just be because they were busy. Like I said the food was tasty

Popped in after Christmas, very busy but was able to book a table and return later. once seated, choose form the extensive menu and order at the till. Then wait for the food to be delivered, not a long wait and well worth it. Food was excellent with unlimited drink refills.

I could eat here every day!! I only recently discovered the fino pitta and I now won't get anything else! Their perinaise is amazing too!

We went to Nandos just before Christmas, we were told there was a wait time, they took our name wrote it on a list and told us to come back after 15.00. ( this was at 14.30)

Lovely restaurant layout in a great location opposite Windsor castle. Nandos food is standard wherever you go. Nice staff too. Will return when next in area.

Came here for lunch on Saturday. The place was quite busy but we were sat very quickly.

What a nice Lunch after touring in Windsor. As it was children holiday there was a lot of children in the restaurant. It’s in the high street opposite the castle. The service is good as you order on the till and tell them your table number. We had whole chicken to share with . They cut it in 4 pieces so it’s easy to eat. Various Nando’s sauces to take to the tables. There’s top up drinks and they gave you glasses . They charge you for drinks. There’s olives and nuts and cakes to order. There’s sweet corn , mashed potatoes and friend potatoes as side to order with your chicken and little bowl of rice if you wish. Nice experience in the heart of Windsor castle.the service is not that bad and they tried to deliver the food in your table as quickly as they can.

We eat at Nando's fairly regularly and never experienced such shoddy and unprofessional service. On arrival at a none peek time and made to wait in a area when tables were empty. We were taken to a sticky table,We placed our order without issues and the food arrived quickly, unfortunately the waitresses Dropped 2 meals on the floor. This also happened across from our table as well! Both accidents leaving greasy slip hazards in the floor these were only wiped with napkins.

We were in U.K. for soccer when we bumped into friends from our group on our way back to our hotel. We ended up taking the train with them into Windsor to take a quick peak of the castle. We then looked for a place to eat. It was too late for pubs with kids in tow so I suggested Nandos. We eat at Nandos in the DC area often and had Nandos earlier in the day at Kings Cross. It was fun introducing friends to Nandos. We had a large table at the front of the restaurant next to the window with a view of the castle. The best thing is plentiful ice and fountain drinks which were refreshing and hard to come by in the UK. We always stick to the bone in chicken and vary our sides. The medium is hot enough for me. Great service as usual. We love Nandos

Came here on a busy Sunday afternoon and was seated quite quickly. Everything was fine, ordering, service , price was all good value. Tasty chicken, loved the coleslaw. Will return.

We had visited the castle and stopped off at Nandos afterwards about 2pm. It was busy but not overly busy. We were seated quickly by a polite member of staff. Our order arrived quickly and the food was lovely. Great tasting chicken thigh wrap for me and chicken wings for my husband. We love Nandos and the staff are always so friendly.

Had an opportunity to eat at Nando's. We were visiting Windsor, UK and Nando's was recommended by two friends. The food and atmosphere were fun, exciting, and different. You order the food, tell them where you are sitting and they bring it to you. I tried the extra, extra hot sauce for the chicken and it was so good. If you want a nice restaurant while walking about in Windsor, I would highly recommend Nando's!

This is a very popular restaurant so you have to register before you are actually hungry. It was a weekend when we were there and we were put in their list and asked to wait for around an hour. As we were craving for barbecue so we were okay with the waiting time. But we were seated 10 minutes before so it was great. The food was just as how we expected them to be -- well seasoned and distinct. Both the adults and the kids enjoyed the barbecue and salads. The service crew were polite and friendly. The interiors are pleasant and comfortable. The toilets are clean. The prices are reasonable. It should be included in your must-try restaurants when in UK...

We managed to get a table quickly, went up to order as per usual - we weren’t sure how to get cutlery so I ended up having to get up a lot to grab straws and cutlery. If you’re looking for a sit down meal this Nando’s probably isn’t suitable. Our food came quickly, I got a grilled chicken pitta with a side. The prices weren’t cheap for what you get (one small pitta) and it was soggy with too much sauce which meant the sauce ended up dripping out of the bottom of the pitta which was messy. My side of a corn on the cob was also undercooked and I couldn’t finish it because butter couldn’t hide the raw taste. The chicken tasted good though. Overall it was an average experience, though on a return to Windsor I probably wouldn’t go again.

Due to a very central location, the place gets really busy and so the service suffers. It is hard to get a table and when you do, its very close to the people sitting beside you. Admittedly, food is nice and staff are friendly, but the atmosphere can feel a bit like a lunch hall in a school- speedy and squeezey !

We turned up at a very busy time but the waiter quickly turned around a table for us so we didn't have to wait long. Staff were happy to help.

Went here on Bank Holiday Monday for dinner, was told 15 minute wait and we waited about 3 mins. Amazing service, everything was so quick and easy. Staff were brilliant and helpful with all our questions. Cant fault at all

Was nearby and decided against eating in so as to avoid the queue. Ordered online and walked a few mins to get in. I got my order on time before the time advised which was a plus for me.

This is the 2nd time I’ve been to this restaurant and I had a lovely time. The service is very quick. It didn’t take that long to wait for my order, probably one of the quickest service I’ve had in a while. The staff are friendly. The food was amazing. No problems at all. My parents really enjoyed their time here as well. Would recommend going if you’re a true lover of meat, poultry or both.

Nando's Windsor is situated a short walk from all the shops and a stones throw from the beautiful Windsor Castle. Most people reading would have had Nando's before but if you haven't, Nando's is a Portuguese style restaurant. Select your food from the menu, add sides, choose a spice and a drink and wait a short time for your food.

Our first visit to Nandos as a family and we were extremely happy with the service that we received. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this place.

Wouldn't normally review a fast food chain but I was given a voucher to eat here so I thought I'd give it a go - half expecting to not be able to use it anyway!

Located right on the High St. overlooking the castle, this is a good choice for lunch/dinner. Half chicken was OK and the coleslaw was excellent. The mash was a bit overcooked but not too bad. Service was nice and the food came quickly. Windsor has some decent enough restaurants and there are better choices around town but if you want a place where you know exactly what you are going to get, then this is it.

Hadn't been to Nandos for a while, so it was great to share a whole chicken plus some chips and cole slaw, before going to see Elvis at the Theatre Royal. Will not wait so long next time.

To say fast service is the route to perfect customer service I have go dis agree when the garlic bread is still “bread” not toasted or warm in the siltiest chips were soggy and all in all the meal was disappointing. Staff were lovely though no complaints with the hosts just food could be looked into longer cooking times.

Nandos is such a great go to restaurant, I love coming here for my lunch break as it fills me up but also doesnt become too bad for me.

What's not to like about Nandos ? Flame grilled chicken, spiced to your taste, and served on the bone, in burgers, wraps, and pitta, with a selection of sides. Great family restaurant with meals all around the £10 level. The Windsor branch is conveniently located on Thames Street overlooking the Castle. Not a massive number of tables relative to other Nandos so there can be a wait at peak times. If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you're missing !

We called in on the off chance for a meal, and we were very impressed by the quick seating. We had visited Nando's before, so we knew the "routine".

Came here with my son and had a chicken wing platter. It was quite a short wait and the food was nice and hot. Restaurant was clean and staff friendly.

Friends said you must try Nando's when you go to London. Well we went and I feel we have better broasted-broiled/roasted chicken at home. The skin was NOT crispy and it was actually a bit dry. Disappointed but I do realize restaurants need a 2nd chance and unfortunately we did not have that luxury to revisit during our week stay. Disappointed the outside window said wifi but inside they did not have it.

Excellent level of service with excellent food, Friendly staff with pleasant surroundings, Good value for money with a good variety of temperature variations on the Portuguese piri-piri principle. Always a firm favourite with my family

We ordered the quartered whole chicken for 2 with four sides. With one soft drink for £23. Note that even the mild has a good kick; husband said plain didn't (he'd a complained if it did). Friendly worker explained the ordering system. Salas's were fresh, as were the chips.

Very fast service, delicious food, brilliant team! The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars were the watery drinks and the couple that were next to us were so close they were practically at our table :)

Could you ever complain about a Nando's? It's Nando's! Best chicken place in town. Always a great meal and always a go to if everything else fails. Frozen fat free yogurt is so good, especially chocolate! Might just go grab some now! Finger lickin' good!

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner, we had a short wait before being seated. The food came quickly, especially considering how busy they were. We both enjoyed our meals and would go back again. Staff friendly and good value for money!

逛完城堡來吃有名的Nando燒雞！肉質尚算鮮嫰，反而是薯條超好吃！我們把所有醬汁都試過，寫少辣的非常辣，寫大辣的卻又不辣，標籤根本不可信，舌頭才是最誠實的：）另外，汽水是免費無限添加，很讚！只是可樂加到底都淡了，稍等了一下才有補充新的可樂。

I visited Nando's in Windsor with my partner and our twins. I had fairly low expectations of this place. However, it's fair to say it exceeded my expectation. My twins had chicken, Chips and Garlic Bread and although the Garlic Bread was one side of a Burger Bun (Shame) my twins enjoyed it. The other half loves Nando's so he was very happy with his half chicken and Chips, I ordered a Caesar Salad with Chicken Thighs and Avocado, it was really nice. Good value for money

I really do not understand the appeal of this place and why they charge so much, given that you, the customer, have to order the food from a cashier and get your own drinks and cutlery, as well as clear your table. The portions are small and the chicken is dry. My wife ordered chicken wings and they were way overcooked. For the dishes we ordered, (see pictures), the bill came to over £40. We won't be back.

It is a good Nandos. Service is fine and food is good. If you can sit by the window you people watch quite happily

On Thursday 1st June, we decided to visit Nando’s restaurant in Windsor, as we had been given a Nando’s gift card by a friend.This was our first ever visit to a Nando’s and this is likely to be our only visit to Nando’s, and here’s why.Being our first ever trip to a Nando’s, we didn’t know what to expect or what the procedures were. On entering I managed to get the attention of a member of staff and asked for a table for two. This person immediately spoke to his colleague who picked up two menus’ and walked away. We took this as a sign to follow. He placed the menu’s and a “chicken stick” with a number on it, on an empty table and left. We sat down and started to look at the menu’s. during this whole process, he did not utter a single word to us, no “hello”, no “please follow me” nothing! (Later I found out this person is called “Dario”. More on him later).After about 20 minutes and with no sign of anyone coming back to our table to take our order, I went up to the till area and asked how we go about ordering food and drinks as no one had come back to our table.The person behind the counter (“Demin”), said he could take the order for us. I made our food and drinks order with him and tried to pay part of the bill with the gift card we had been given. After several swipes of the git card I was told it was empty. This I was surprised at as we had only taken the gift card off its cardboard backing before leaving home. I agreed to pay the bill using my bank card and said I would take the gift card issue up with the Head Office. I returned to my table, with our drinks, to await our order.Around 10 minutes or so later our food arrived and the staff member disappeared. As no cutlery had arrived with the food, I had to go and ask the staff for it. The first person I asked had no idea what I was saying. The second, a blonde female on the plate pass, also had no idea what a knife and fork was and as she pointed me back in the direction of “Demin”. I realised she was “eastern European” by her accent but I would have thought that asking for a knife and fork was a pretty basic request in a restaurant, and she would at least know those words. When I asked “Demin” for a knife and fork, he pointed me to the side of the till area, where there was no obvious cutlery.It was at this point that I came across another member of Nando’s staff called “Clare”, who I also asked about cutlery. Clare showed me where it was and asked me if I needed anything else. I explained that it was our first time at Nando’s and that I was unimpressed with the whole experience so far. It was at this point that Clare apologised for the bad experience and said that if we need anything else to let her know.After our meal, I managed to get Clare’s attention again as we were sat by the kitchen entrance. I asked Clare for a pen and then asked her the names of the members of staff who I had dealt with. I also explained to her why we had had such a bad experience when we first entered Nando’s, and the fact that the person who seated us had not even spoken a word to us. Clare was surprised at this and explained that he (Dario) should have given us a far better welcome and taken us through the menu and the ordering process as it’s part of the Nando’s welcome, which sadly he didn’t. Clare offered us a free dessert in way of an apology for the poor service we had received. While we were talking to Clare at our table, it was hard to hear her whenever the kitchen door opened as there was a radio playing with loud bass music coming from the kitchen. This was different and louder than the music being played in the restaurant area.We did finally find out from Clare what the “chicken stick” was for. The one that had been left on our table when we were seated. Apparently, it’s so that when a member of staff comes and checks that everything is OK with our meal, they then take it away with them. Sadly, we still had this at the end of our meal and so we handed it back to Clare. A little while later, while we were finishing our drinks before we left, I noticed “Dario” (yes, him again), clearing tables near to us. What I also sadly noticed was that he had his trousers hanging down off his bum as is the fashion these days. This is not the sort of fashion or dress code that should ever be expected or accepted in any customer facing role. His trousers were not slightly down but rather just about hanging on to the backs of his legs. As I know that me describing this will not quite convey the view we had to endure, I have included a photo of the offending issue and the owner of the poorly fitting trousers. All in all, there was only one redeeming feature of the whole evening, and that was Clare’s helpfulness and customer service. Clare was a shining star among a sea of people who could not be bothered and had no care or willingness to do their job properly. Even asking for cutlery was a mammoth task to find staff who knew what a knife and fork where. Add to this the issue with the gift card and we have an evening’s experience that should never befall any customer. If this is what the Nando’s experience is meant to be, you can keep it. If you want chicken and chips, with crap service, Nando’s is for you, if not, avoid Nando’s like the plague. When I contacted Nando’s Customer Service about the gift card and the terrible customer service and I did suggest that an unannounced inspection or “mystery shopper” visit is done on this restaurant, and some retraining of staff. Their response was to tell me that the gift card expired the very same day that we visited (how strange) but they have re enabled the gift card and added £5 as a “goodwill” gesture. As for my other comments and observations, well they are “going to pass these along to the restaurant manager”. I have serious doubts about the abilities of the Management in this restaurant. If they cannot ensure that customer service standards are kept when it comes to the “meet and greet”, the dress code of staff and the standards behind the scenes in the kitchen area, how does Nando’s Customer Service think things will improve without regional supervision?AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

Nice staff and chicken. We ordered 1/2chicken with spicy rice and corn. They were all delicious, as well as the toasted garlic bread. Chicken liver didn't meet our expectation, which was too salted.

Always reluctant to leave a bad review, but even by Nando's standards this place is crap. So, it deserves one. Not really any chicken left to order after a 'busy day' (it is a chicken shop right?!). When what little chicken they had left was ready, it sat under a hot plate festering for about ten minutes - five or six members of staff walked past it but were too busy messing around and planning their night out with their annoying mates in the booth next to us to bother about doing their job. Chips were good, chicken was okay. The place was filthy, the floor was horrendous. The greeter guy cleaned our table half-heartedly and left it soaked. My seat also had a large damp patch which looked look someone had wet themselves (possibly through the sheer embarrassment of being seen in the place).

Just great chicken and service, no music but to be honest we didn't go for a tango just good food and efficient service. What else do you need to know.. it's nandos

Nice spacious Nandos, with a lovely view of Windsor castle as soon as you leave. We had a walk around the castle and down the near by river and finished it off with a nice meal.Upon ordering my food i let the young lady my partner had a food allergy and i just needed to check that his food had know dairy in it. Instead she laughed at me and told me as long as his not ordering anything with cheese he'll be fine.I finally managed to order his food as he brought up an allergen menu on his phone. Once i had ordered instead of giving me the mixed nuts i had ordered she just walked away, didnt even give me 2 glasses for my drink.The waitress and waiter that delievered our food were very polite and the food came out in a timely manner. Just a shame about the cashier.
