Nando's - Wimbledon in Merton

Turning away people as only the small downstairs area was open. Huge upstairs seating area empty. “No staff” apparently. Errrr?!

Visited this evening when very busy. Was greeted by a very smiley server called Kyeann. She was our server for the rest of the evening. It was very busy and food was a little slow however it didn’t bother us too much as we were not in a rush and could see how busy it was. Despite being this busy Kyeann along with her colleague, a gentleman who’s name I didn’t get, were great. Super friendly and engaging and apologetic for the wait. Def be back if in the area.

Went for lunch and asked for a table upstairs, but we were told that upstairs is closed, no idea why. We were given a table downstairs which seemed do-able, until more customers arrived - the tables are far too close together! A bit of distance between tables in these Covid times would be nice, aside from Covid you actually feel like you're eating with people at the next table. Food came quick, chicken was good but hardly any goats cheese in my salad. But the biggest thing for me was the downstairs area is far too cramped, not a comfortable or enjoyable meal at all - why not use the space upstairs? doubt I'll be back

I’m disappointed to see how many negative reviews this place is garnering - though I think many are from online and collection/delivery orders. We dined in this evening as two friends and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Our server Francisco was so attentive - a perfect waiter (and this from someone who’s waited tables himself in his time). It’s socially distanced to a very safe degree, too, with completely blocked out tables, all other usual measures are being taken. Nothing else to say. A good example of this usually reliable food chain.

Portion size is smaller. Service has gone down. Ordered Family platter (4-6people) and they didn't even bring any plates. Also had to specifically ask for sauces twice. The experience was uncomfortable and disappointing.

This is by far the worst Nando's I've had in London, hands down. The chicken was dry, the bun probably 2 weeks old and just an overall disgusting experience.

Apart from the tables that were slightly too close together for privacy, the layout and cleanliness of this restaurant were good. The food was served quickly, was well presented and of reasonable quality. The major let down was the lack of customer service skills demonstrated by the largely disinterested young ladies walking the floor. There was no acknowledgement upon arrival, the lady who showed me to my table didn't even speak, just pointing at a table. There is no table service but they assume you know how their system works. I didn't. The supervisor who took our money was much better and she even enquired how our meal was at the end of our session.

Badically we ordered, the money was taken off the card immediately, but no food. We then called up to see where it was, was asked for a confirmation number which we never received. We then called the delivery help team (who were extremely helpful) to which they saw the order but the staff at the store didn't accept the order in time. Called back to explain this to Dom the manager, who has been the single rudest peraon I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with, even after being confirmed that the mistake was from the stores end he still insisted that "next time, we should have just given the order number" before hanging up the phone. I would seriously re-evaluate that managers position within your company as this has now completely put us off ever ordering nandos from the website again.

Called in on spec only been to Nando’s once and it was fun. Very attentive service, clean tables, very friendly staff and the chicken was great, pretty spicy 🌶 but that was fine. Fries were yummy. I had the half chicken, lovely sides well cooked. Hit the spot, really enjoyed it well done Nando’s you guys can do it why can’t some of the top restaurants crack it

I called to make a order took 20 minutes to answer but when picked up the manager was great at helping me with my allergens.....get home with my food to see some of my order wasn't there had to go back and the lady accused me of nicking mash 🤨 and im a liar when i have it on my receipt get home to see my chicken is pink corn under cook when asked for well done waste of money should have gone somewhere else

Having called at 7.05pm and been given a 7.48 delivery slot, I then had to spend 35 minutes waiting to get through to the “delivery” team. The branch simply kept me hanging and then told me to hang up and try later. The excuses around non delivery were pitiful. It is currently 8.58pm and there is still no sign of this delivery. I am holding again as they contact the restaurant a 2nnd time to find out what is going on. I have been told this is normal when they are busy..somehow I doubt anyone will order delivery if 2 hours wait is normal.

Nice place to eat. Food is what you would expect from Nando and the service was good. It was nice to see that when leaving a member of staff thank me for eating there.

Visited as a family of 9. Table sorted with no delay. Food was great, especially the Sunset burger with extra hot sauce on the side 😊🔥

We were holding a production at Wimbledon Theatre on Saturday 20th with special guests. I needed to make sure they were all fed within a time limit, armed with a list of all the meals I needed to order and bring back I headed over the road to Nandos. Dominique helped my stress levels by making it all so easy! Everything I asked for help with she assisted and with the most amazing smile too! The staff at Nandos were all so helpful and even walked the large bags of delicious Nandos back to theatre as I had too many to carry! Thank you so much Dominique and your lovely staff for all your help it was truly appreciated!

Went about 10pm and found service quick and friendly. No long wait unlike some other Nando’s which seem give priority to home delivery drivers

Great food and service and value for money. Clean and the staff were very helpful with everything, as we needed directions to a couple of places.

Saturday lunch with a friend. Tried the super grain salad and it was just brilliant, but very large indeed. This is a lovely branch with really friendly people.

Dinner with buddies I had the extra hot quarter chicken with Chips and Sweetcorn food arrive relatively quick and even quicker finishing our meals resulting not much left on the plate needless to say we enjoyed it and will be back to try other dishes

love the food at nandos but this branch has ventilation issue with so much smoke.. not sure if its cos its busy or what but the issue exists

Fuimos en una para llevar un regalo, ya que era la víspera de Navidad y estoy seguro de que el resto de las personas estaban deseando su comida. La comida era buena, pero la actitud personal era pobre, especialmente ya que estaba con mi hijo de 7 años. No hay alegría de navidad en absoluto.

Ate here for the first, and absolutely last time today. The food was poor, served barely lukewarm. Service awful. All round grotty experience.

Eu até então não conhecia qualquer dos inúmeros restaurantes da rede no Reino Unido. E adorei tudo: a praticidade, a comida e o preço justo. Além de tudo, fui muito bem atendido por todos no restaurante, especialmente o Santiago, que explicou tudo com atenção e paciência. A especialidade é frango, que pode ser feito de várias formas e com diversos acompanhamentos à sua escolha. Você também pode decidir o quanto picante pode vir o seu prato. Em suma, saí do restaurante muito satisfeito e certamente voltarei.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. This Nandos is typical of all Nandos. Not as big as some, and can get busy being right opposite Wimbledon Theatre. However, they cope much better with pre-theatre diners than some of the more conventional restaurants nearby.Staff are pleasant and polite and food is good value for money. There was a language problem when placing my order, and I didn't get what I had asked for, but it made a pleasant change because I always take the easy option and always order the same thing each time I visit, so it was nice to have something different.If you're visiting the theatre and want a bite to eat beforehand, I'd recommend eating here, we have done so on numerous occasions.

I used to be quite fond of Nando's but nowadays I only go if I'm right next to it and starving. This particular branch has always been nice and I have many a fond memory of going there. That being said the chicken is getting smaller and smaller and if you don't specify which parts of the chicken you want you'll almost always end up with the dry trashy thigh somewhere in your meal. The staff are pleasant even though sometimes you have to wonder what takes so long with the food especially organising the sides. Apart from that I think Nando's has gotten a little big for its boots. The chicken needs to get bigger and the prices are making me spend my money and time elsewhere. The super grain salad is nice but that too is a little expensive for what it is. Some lettuce, spinach leaves, quinoa and avocado really shouldn't cost so much.

It is sometime that I have had my mouth enhanced by Nandos. This time delighted to sample Wimbledon with my father. Enjoyable...look out for the sauce on sale

We came for a quick dinner before going to the cinema. It's quick service and as good as any other Nando's. The chips used to be much crispier though - shame they have changed them.

Visited Nando's on many occasions in different cities. I usually find it quick, tasty and the staff is friendly. There are rather big portions of food with soft drinks that you can refill as many times as you want.

Visited Nando's following our visit to the New Wimbledon Theatre - Having never eaten at Nando's before we thought we'd 'give it a go'........It really is a glorified KFC - Not impressed. Basically Chicken and chips with a gooey sauce poured over it! quite pricey in my opinion- Won't bother again.

London, Cape Town , Sheffield, Johannesburg .... and even Singapore!!! Nandos food is quality at a very reasonable price. And, its delicious!

Nando's is not new to me, it's always good food, good service, and bustling.Sometimes when I can't get halal food, (as in meat/ chicken fish etc) this is a safe bet,They are constantly adding new things to the menu, and have many vegetarian options, which all taste fantastic!My favourite is the veggie pitta....ddeelish. My hubby had the bean burger, that too was yummy.No one can compare with the nando's sauces, they are out of this world! There was a new waitress, named " Pavla" whom I want to give a "shout out" to... She was brilliant, brought things over to the table, when she really didn't have to. Smiling, helpful, friendly...could't do enough....Fantastic customer service skills! If only there were more like her in the industryMy hubby and his sis, were both under the wheather, coughing, blowing their noses, and she very kindly brought over some hot water with lime, which we asked for, but isnt on the menu.. lolSo, a great experience....

In need of something quick to eat and close to the theatre we opted for Nando's. as I am vegan for the month it was good to see they could adjust the menu to suit, I had the veggie burger without the mayo and fries. The additional sauces make the meal adding fire and flavour especially the pomegranate dressingEnjoyable fast food

We ate here recently.Before we even had time to get our sauces and cutlery our food had been served.It was served hot and was a great sized portion.Very happy and you can also use NHS discount here which is a bonus! (20% off).-Although I am a vegetarian I am disappointed that the meat here is halal.-

Food- flavourful as you would normally expect from Nandos.Service- friendly and helpful.Cleanliness especially of toilets was poor. The ground floor has disabled toilet. The ground floor eating area was smelling bad.

Went there before a show....sat upstairs and was very comfortable.....ordered and the bottomless drinks are a bonus....chicken was exceptional....and the side orders were very yummy.....the peri peri nuts before hand added another dimension to the meal.And not far walk to the theatre

A few friends and I came to Nandos, a common favourite for a celebratory meal. Initially the service was good however this rapidly declined. Despite ordering a few mins apart our food was served with little politeness and at varing times. A friend who I was with was last to receive her food and when the 'chicken wrap' was served, she discovered it was about 95% salad and 5%chicken. After a lengthy wait with no sympathy or updates from the waiting staff her food appeared with a lack of side dish. By the time the correct meal was finally returned to her, myself and other friends had finished our meals. During the laborious wait we were astonished to see other food being incorrectly served to one person and then being passed to another customer. Overall we are very disappointed.

I run a hospitality business in Surbiton, near to Wimbledon. I went for a pre-theatre meal to Nandos Wimbledon and can only say that the staff there, most especially Sarah the host were truly amazing, I mean up there with some of the best levels of customer service I have experienced. Sarah went the extra mile to ensure our meal, albeit only a nandos chicken dish was expedited so we could make the theatre on time, the table service was excellent even though one of the girls had a trainee badge. I was staggered at how good the customer service was at this Nandos. Even when I went to give a tip, Sarah declined it saying she was just glad we had made it in time and enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend this Nandos for their truly exceptional staff. Thank you

Staff are always very friendly, the food is always up to a good standard and very delicious! Even when it is very busy the staff still manage to give a good service which I find very good! :)

Ate here tonight with my 5 year old before the theatre. Was a lovely meal, staff were really helpful too. Sat upstairs and was not hot considering how hot it is outside. Food was perfect.

This is quite a noisy restaurant over two floors in a small space, so it can get crowded and busy very quickly and the service can occasionally suffer as result. That said the rest is good news, the chicken is tasty, nicely cooked, seasons with the correct head (some Nando's cook the plain on the same grill as the 'hot' - Ouch)If you can bear the hustle, bustle, the noise, the occasional drinks machine failure then you can't go wrong.

We have been here 3 times in 2 weeks for something fast and good. Service is great and staff are friendly. There are lots of children and music is loud. It is more of fun and quick eat than romantic outings.Location is great. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Chicken is always well cooked and tender.

We went out for a family meal on a Saturday lunchtime - my son really wanted to try Nandos, and I've been to others in the chain, so I was up for it. Wow - I don't know if this is a Wimbledon thing, but avoid the place on a Saturday lunchtime at all costs. The table was fine, but the room was SO noisy - a children's birthday party, plus noisy others + bad acoustics in the room which just seemed to amplify everything. The place was packed with families and small children, up and downstairs.We almost left before the food came ... but I am glad we didn't. We had ordered the Jumbo Platter between the four of us - with rice, chips, sweetcorn, garlic bread & coleslaw as the sides. The food was excellent, and came pretty quickly. The staff were friendly - so thumbs up in general ... but for the crazy noise.

Nando's is almost always great but it's hard to find a good one. My friend and I came on a Saturday so we thought it would be a while before we were seated but we were seated quickly! The food was better than the food at some of the Nando's I've been too, we got the chicken butterfly (which is usually dry as a bone but wasn't this time!)

We were served very quickly and the food was very tasty. The chicken was cooked really well. The customer service was very good too. The man that served us was realky friendly and helpful. He also pointed out I could get a free apertiser with my Nandos card so that was an added bonus.

Nando's is a firm favourite with our teenage boys, but also well-liked by their parents! Food is tasty and caters for both carnivores and vegetarians. Service is quick (very important for my younger son who can't stand waiting for anything) and friendly. We went on a Monday evening so it wasn't too busy (though also not off-puttingly empty). However, we have been later in the week before and it can get pretty packed.

Considering we called in here after the theatre, almost at closing time the atmosphere was great. Very friendly and welcoming. They had run out of a few items but due to the time thats to be expected. Food was tasty and freshly prepared to order, there were even some of the cast members from the theatre dining here also, which was a bonus!

my friend insisted that we went here instead of chipotle probably because he behaves in a sheep like manner and thinks Nandos is great. Even though Nandos is overrated to be fair it is still a decent meal. maybe 3 stars is a bit harsh

I am a huge Nandos chicken lover but I dread ordering their salads because you never know if you are going to be presented with something edible or something you might find scraped off the bottom of the fridge. Love the chicken though - just sort out the salads please.Cheers.

I've found Nandos can be quite variable in terms of food and service. This one was particularly friendly and the food was hot. The chicken breasts are still very small, but that's just their product. Good place for a quick bite to eat before the Wimbledon Theatre, which is just over the road.

Typical Nando's fare. Reliable and trusty food though expensive compared with other countries that I have eaten their food in.

Visited here whilst in London for work. Nice restaurant, fast service. Being able to refill drinks is always a treat! The food can range in hotness - I went medium and it was fine. Plenty of tables downstairs and upstairs. Great location right in Wimbledon. Facilities all clean and staff were friendly.

Friendly staff, good service. We visit Nandos in Wimbledon on a regular basis when we visit the cinema. Always enjoyable.

Went with two friends and my 4 year old last night. Was nice to be able to sit outside. Restaurant looks nice and was fairly quiet considering Wimbledon tennis is on.

Unlike many other countries, apparently in the UK Nando's works on a self service basis. You take your table and then line up and order at the cashier. The food is brought by waiters but drinks are self service. It's a much more fast food type experience. The quality of the food however is the same Nando's standards and IMHO the best of any fast food chain, tying evenly with Wahaca.

We were served by Poppy who was incredibly welcoming and polite. She helped us with finding a seat and also with what to order. We had the Sangia Jug, and Frozen Yoghurt which were both reasonably priced. Poppy was a great contribution to our lovely evening, and I would personally have had her as the supervisor over the other manager - as she wasn't as welcoming of polite as Poppy was. Thank you Poppy!!!!

Great food and great service, somewhere that makes you feel really welcome thanks to James and the team, will come again if in town

Have visited here several times in the past, and have noticed it's been refurbished - Looks nice, trendy and inviting.Good welcome, the staff seem to be happy and attentive.Food was good, hot and well cooked.Help yourself drinks are great.Overall, you pretty much get almost the same in all Nando's, the only difference, with Wimbledon, was the refurbishment.As I said before, visited many times, and will probably visit again.

I am a Nando fan so they can hardly go wrong. The food was good, service fast and left a happy chap! Good location, nice food, and get what you pay for.

Went for lunch while out shopping. It is over-priced considering the portion size and plain presentation. There are better options in Wimbledon.

Been to several Nandos, but this one, did not hit the mark at all. The staff from when i entered, ordered and checking if the food was ok, were excellent, which was a great start. However who i can only presume was the manager, had an attitude. I was trying to tell her that the Brahma beer was flat. she told me that it is fine as it only came in yesterday, when i continued to say it is clearly not right, she said, "I'm sorry sir" and walked away!!. I could not be bothered to say anymore to be honest. The food was ok, skimpy on the Olives, the chicken was dry and the chips were soft with no crunch. This is not the usual service/attitude from Nandos, but wont go there again, and will choose another branch instead

Visited here this lunchtime with my Son. Not busy so that was a Bonus. Found a Table and checked the Menu. Good Selection so chose the Half Roast Chicken with Fries. Mild Seasoning. Service was very Prompt & courteous. Drinks were unlimited with our Order. Chicken was served. Good Portion Size but my only Comment . Presentation . Could be lot better. Chicken had just been put on plate, fries to the side . That was it. Garnish maybe?? Not a major complaint as the Food was Hot. But a little bit of Attention to final plating would be nice.

Food as you'd expect in Nandos. It was a Saturday so pretty busy. Service not as good as some of the other Nandos we have been to but will come here again as it is our new local of the chain. Service a little slower than some but loved the small quaint size of the place.

We went in for a take-away last night. Food was the usual Nando's, so no complaint there, but the staff seemed to have some serious attitude and seemed generally disinterested in serving customers. Won't be going back there in a hurry.

We had a whole chicken, and four sides, plus a bottle of sparkling wine. Good value, re-fillable soft drinks. Food was nice (coleslaw excellent), but queuing to order was a bit manic. Downstairs was quite loud. Not a place for a long lingering lunch, but did what I said on the tin. Would go back if I was in a hurry!

Just collected my nandos takeaway and it was terrible. Firstly we had to wait 10 minutes for our order after ordering by telephone.. Then when we arrived home and unpacked our food we discovered it to be over cooked,dry and the chips oil filled. Total disappointment and our meal ruined!

We were late traveling to our rooms in wimbledon, we were advised to go to nando's.The Chicken main meal we orderd with double chips was like heaven n earth, it was moist, tender, juicy, deliceous and tasty. IT was truly the best chicken i have ever had It had lovley olives as well.

Went here with large group of friends. We had no reservation and requested to sit downstairs. Staff were very accommodating, and helpful.Menu was hard to read. Ordering is easy- waitress was very helpful and got out the book containing all food ingredients (I'm wheat & dairy intolerant).Some mistakes were made with our orders but were rectified very quickly without any fuss. Very quick!!! Food was great. very tasty. Refillable soft drink is great.. Only problem- no female toilets were working- that's pretty poor!!Great, quick tasty feed.

I love Nandos but have only been to a couple and about 5 times in total. It is an experience as you have to find a table and then go and order the food whichtehy bring to you when it's ready - usulaly pretty fast. There are different sorts of chicken & you chose how hot (spicy) you like it. I like very spicy food & choose the hot, not the very hot, and the hot is spicy enough for me.Recommend the peri peri chips, the chicken in pita and the frozen yogurt.
