Not been to Nanos for many years . Can’t understand why ,, Wakefield Nando’s was absolutely bang on . The waiter think his name was Matt helped us out with the menu and found us a table asap as they were really busy . Will definitely be going back to this Nando’s

Absolutely appalling service. Came in for a meal was absolutely let down by the waiter/waitress. However, the girl at the till kitty was absolutely lovely and helpful. Our sides was sat there for 20 minutes we had to approach the manager twice and they weren’t apologetic at all. Will not be coming again and we’ll go to Castleford one instead.

Extremely rude staff they ignore drivers when they stand in cold and rain .Some staff don't even answer simple question "how long will it take".I am driver as well as a customer but your poor Behaviour changed my mind

Visited this Nando’s roughly a year ago and it was dirty , the staff were rude and we ended up walking out. We revisited today and it was absolutely beautiful. Staff were amazing , food was spot on and it was very clean. 5 stars

I visited the Nando’s Wakefield store from Sheffield as the halal Nando’s in Sheffield is closed at the min. We were No disappointed in anyway the restaurant manager Dan got us seated as soon as possible, our food followed soon after we ordered. The manager even though store was busy he was very attentive to all customers and his fellow colleagues he had clear presence in restaurant had complete control and understanding of the running of his restaurant no job was too small from clearing tables to sweeping floors he was happy to do it all. I have visited many Nando’s but not seen such hospitality customer service Nando’s the staff in Sheffield could learn a lot from leader like Dan! Thank you Dan

Came in on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was pretty busy which we didn’t expect and then was told we’d have to wait 30mins for a table. However, after only a short wait the hostess Emily came over and had us seated within 10 mins. The service was exceptional and in particular Emily who served us was extremely polite, friendly and very accommodating. Please make sure she is commended for her outstanding service.

Lovely food as always and staff were all great one stand out staff member was Sarie(sorry of thsts not right) He was friendly happy and helpful.

When we arrived there was no rush for any of the staff to seat us despite the restaurant being almost empty. Similar situation when I went to order the food, one member of staff was having an issue with the customer in front and it took me sitting down, coming back and still a few minutes before she asked for someone else to take my order. When the food arrived the order was incorrect which was dealt with reasonably quickly. However, the food left much to be desired. I've always enjoyed nandos, but following this experience I wouldn't be in any hurry to eat here again. The chicken was very dry, one chicken breast was missing the skin so didn't have much flavour and the chips were terrible. In future I think we will just make our own peri peri chicken at home or order from the various takeaways that offer it in our area.

Went for lunch today and the restaurant was filthy. I wish we had left as the food wasn't great either. Dirty floors, dirty walls, dirty cutlery I certainly eint be returning here!!!!!!

What a great place for a really tastie meal.

Where shall I start, called in nandos for a bit of tea, ordered the food and sat back down, we then noticed the lady manager cooking food in her normal clothes, the other cook was filthy and kept wiping his hands down his sides and his apron. The staff who were cleaning tables just wiped the left over food onto the floor so there was chips and rice and bits of crap under your table. The seats were ripped and the walls were filthy. The food came my wife got a sunset burger which she said was fine. I got half a chicken so over cooked you couldn't put the knife through it. Think the chicken was pre cooked and then shoved under the lights. The chicken was replaced but the next one wasn't much better.. Filthy walls, filthy floors, filthy staff, what more do you want

Always amazing and food is halal

We were told 30 mins wait, Sarey cane outside and advised us we will have our table ready in 5 mins. How to order was explained and food came within 15 mins. Excellent service.

Came for tea with my daughter was a little confusion over my order but the staff made up for it and more with service we recived thank u for a lovley meal

Visited yesterday with a friend for a birthday lunch. We used to get to Nando’s every couple of weeks pre covid, but I haven’t been since. I always thought it expensive but enjoyed the food. We ordered, and I am totally flabbergasted at the price increases. It’s totally disgusting how much this place is charging for food like this. Also, as I’ve not been for a while, it was clear that portion sizes are less. The wrap is smaller, pitta is smaller, smaller bowls for the rice and hummus. Food was nice, totally not worth the money though and we will not be visiting any Nando’s again. I’ve felt sick since, but I think that’s me reflecting on how much I’ve spent on one meal! You’ll price yourself out of the market - people just cannot afford this money for chicken

Shocking experience! Ordered our food online and after waiting over a hour we still hadn’t received anything so we phoned up to be told that they was ‘only here to listen to our feedback and they can’t process a refund on there end because the driver was sat outside the property, they tried to contact us via the phone number (absolutely did not) but didn’t get a answer’ It is absolutely disgusting that they have taken money out of the bank and haven’t provided us with any food. The driver did NOT come to the door once so there was absolutely no attempt to deliver anything. Tried calling the Wakefield branch directly but the phone just rings and nobody picks up. I will NOT be spending any time or money in any of the Nando’s restaurants going forward.

I was first in and to order when they opened at 11.30am. A table of 6, and two tables of two arrived after me. I ordered my food (double chicken wrap, broccoli and cob) at 11.35. Everyone else received their food before me and I got mine at 12.03. I asked for it to be replaced as it was cold. When it was brought out again the broccoli was still cold which I took back to the counter and it was reheated in less than 30 seconds-presumably in the microwave.

Nearly every time I visit this nandos they tell me it’s a 45 minute + wait despite there being many tables free, I thought it was due to social distancing but it’s not because people are still sat on tables next to each other. Went today and was told would be a 30 minute wait despite seeing free tables so I agreed to wait, a family came in after to use and were seated immediately and a couple 5 minutes after us were told a 10 minute wait? We were seated after 10 minutes which was good, food was fine and came quickly, but it still confuses me as to why they appear to try to scare people away, maybe they’re internally rewarded for faster service once people order and this is how they do it?

Ate here tonight and the food and atmosphere was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Alex the waitress and Sonny the host). We will definitely be visiting again!

I have tried to like this nandos but the staff are unhelpful and the food is shocking, they do not care about the quality of the food and i had to wait 20 mins after being tuned away 5 mins before my pick up time. Shocking service and food.

Fancied an impromptu date night so popped into Nando’s. Was advised there would be a wait so scanned a QR code which would text us when our table was ready. This worked well. On being seated in the restaurant, we were told about the new system. You scan another QR code on your table to order the food - no ordering at the counter. The app used to order is frustrating, with a confirm button at the bottom that is obscured by an ad. At the end of our order, we got an error message which meant we had to get a waitress over to order our food. Our waitress Jess was very helpful and pleasant - a highlight of our visit. The food arrived quickly, although we wish the mains didn’t arrive as we were midway through our starters. Part of my girlfriend’s order was missed too and her broccoli was cold and hard, disappointing. Overall, the food was tasty in the main and the staff seemed to be taking C-19 seriously with masks and socially distanced tables.

I went here on Saturday with my son and to be precise it was the 22nd of August. Staff on duty were abrupt and with no customer service whatsoever. Well where do I start: the young lady by the door acted as if it was her restaurant basically saying to customers in a rude manner “scan there and join the que”. Then after a wait we were passed onto another guy who escorted us without a word to a very dirty table. As he was about to explain I quickly asked him if they can clean the table first. He was visibly annoyed so he called a young lady who was polite and she cleaned the chairs and table. Really how can someone expect you to enjoy your meal in a dirty restaurant. Looking around the place was dirty and the lady who appeared to be the manager based on her uniform appeared to be chatting to staff more than giving attention to the customers. I could see what we ordered sitting there for ages and I was tempted to go get it myself. Eventually maybe after 15mins the manageress brought it to our table when it was cold and bland. Looking around the place needed cleaning and staff will definitely benefit from good customer service skills. We all agreed that it wasn’t a good representative of Nandos. I will not be going back there without a shadow of a doubt.

Disgusting treatment @NandosUK Wakefield. Waited over 40 mins to be brought out another customer’s order. No apology from the manager, who blamed us for the mistake. Will not be visiting again.

Second visit to a Nando’s post lockdown and again our food came before drinks salt sauces cutlery napkins...the list goes on. Why on earth do they not get these things sorted when you order. Really poor show

We've ordered a few times during lockdown and the variance in quality and accuracy is vast - it's almost like dealing with two completely different restaurants! When it's good, it's GREAT, but when it's bad, there are so many things wrong that you can't help but take it personally!! Last order is a good example - turned up an hour earlier than expected, and one of the two chickens in the Family Banquet may as well have been a sparrow for the size and meat quantity. Also, the corn on the cob was burnt (not charred, actually burnt), the peri-peri chips had no peri-peri on them and the whole thing was massively underwhelming. If we had been served that in the restaurant, it would have gone back.

Having never been to Nando's before we thought we would give it a try. We were greeted quickly and shown to a table. We chose what we wanted and waited and waited, eventually asking if we could order. The waitress then told us we had to go to the order point, possibly a good idea to tell us this when we sat down. Ordered ok then went to get our drinks. The ice machine wasn't working, not the end of the world. The drinks were just about flat. The food came , then we realised we had no cutlery. we went on the hunt for that and found it.The food was ok. When the waitress came to clear the table she asked if everthing was ok, to which my wife said no not really the whole experiance hasn't been very good. The reply we got was ok thats fine. Speechless, wish I had a camera to capture the look on my wifes face. So to sum it up the food was ok but the service was crap.

Friday night visit - called in late on Friday & only had to wait 10 mins for a table. Service was good & the food was nice as always.

both of us come here every time we go to the movies, we get the same thing always, beanie burger hot with garlic bread, peri chip, butterflied chocken burher with chips and garlic bread and the 5 wing selection, everyother time we have been it has been consitant this time we got the same thing, i asked for hot beanie burger when it came it was swimming in sauce, the peri chips look liked they have been just drowned in the seasoning salt, the table to the leff of us had cold food and the table behind us had raw food while these are non of our concern it makes you think if there are children eating food that could make them Ill, never checked upon to put these point across, the other tables around had there tables cleared instantaneous and check upon maybe 5 minuets into getting there food

My daughters wrap was way smaller/slimmer that usual-being a very regular diner, she noticed instantly. My wrap was way too big for the mini shrunken chicken breast - usually contains 2 pieces.

We booked in advance for a table but got there and they hadn’t recorded any booking (although they still honoured it so that was ok). The wakefield branch is quite small, tables close together. The cutlery was dirty and there wasn’t any clean ones available. The food was decent enough though. Overall seems disorganized at wakefield nandos

I went there twice during my stay in Wakefield. Once as a couple and then as a solo. Everything is pleasant. The staff are friendly and professional. The food is so good as Nando’s always. The seatings are convenient. The best part is that this Nando’s chicken is Halal! I definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thank you

I have been going to this Nando’s for years and now it is the worse I have seen it. New staff don’t care about customers, they looked annoyed just working. Recently I turned up and saw groups allowed to go before me. I enquired as to why and was told it was because “they are bigger groups”. So maybe go with company.

Disappointed with the chicken in pitta. The chicken was barely warm when it was brought over and it was the smallest chicken breast I have ever seen! It was less than a quarter of the size of a medium sized pitta. The table we sat on was wiped down but not cleaned properly as it was still sticky. I have visited a few nando's, this one was a let down.

Whenever/wherever you go to a Nandos it always seems to be busy, however, your don't have to wait too long for a table. The food is always cooked to perfection. Just feel the menu could be a bit more adventurous, hate having skin on chicken (I always ask for it to be taken off)

Just been to the wakefield nandos with my partner and it was bang on. Staff are super friendly and the food is served really quick and has been like that every time we have been.

Took kids for treat at end of school hols. Great food and service. Toilet door lock still broken, has been for two years now. Quite a record!

The food when we eventually ate it was fantastic. Four different chicken butterflies in various sauces and heats, with a variety of sides. The hot peri peri is superb as is the supergrain side.

This is my first visit, not impressed, walked in no one to greet us, stood looking lost until we were approached by a member of staff, meal was plain and boring, not worth the money, will not be visiting again ,

Very enjoyable food, medium spicy chicken, 1/4 for my wife and 1/2 for me. Coleslaw, fries, spicy rice and garlic bread as side orders.

I went in to order a takeaway and waited half an hour and then heard my name called and went tot he counter - they were saying they hadn’t put the rice in the order that had just been taken and that turned out to be my order! The waitress had not checked the receipt for the name of the people she had given the order to. I was then told I would need to wait another 15 mins for one of the items and that it wasn’t their fault someone had taken it ! The order they had taken didn’t even have all items in so again wasn’t checked. Last time I used this restaurant as a takeaway got home to missing items. They can’t seem to get takeaways right.

One thing this restaurant does have is consistency, it’s consistantly bad.

Yet again order a takeaway and food is missing... my sons missing his chicken strips... and Billy Lolly And I’m missing all of mine!! Lemon & Herb chicken wrap!! Then to top it off they don’t even answer the phone!!!

Visited here today prior to going to the cinema, served quickly, staff all very pleasant, food all nice and hot, chips especially nice, raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was fab! Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Me and my partner love going Nando's (usually go to the castleford Nando's) but as we was passing through we thought we'd try this Nando's.

Been to this Nando’s on occasion before, but attended yesterday for a quiet and enjoyable tea together but it was the opposite.

Always love coming to nandos with my boyfriend and always see the same lovely waitress Lucy Ellis. Always willing to help us and always with a smile on her face. Can’t wait to go back again!

We visited here 22/02/18 and will never come back. We had just gone for a quiet birthday dinner as Nando’s is my partners favourite and this was our closest to home. Absolutely disgusting customer service! We entered the restaurant and we were left waiting for 10 minutes while one young lass was stood behind the till chatting to another young lass that looked liked she was just starting her shift, Not one member of staff acknowledged us. Eventually when we were met it was a quick “table for 2” we followed her sat down and she walked off, which we know is the procedure and you go and order yourself; however it was rude how she didn’t interact she could of just said “have you been to Nando’s before” I did get her name as she also forgot part of our order but will not state on here for her privacy etc. Then my partner went to the till to order our food, when he got back to our table he realised after checking the receipt she had missed his extra chicken thighs that he had mentioned to her and he had it all wrote down on his phone notes to say to her so he didn’t forget. Anyway she discounted the extra thighs slightly which was very fair but this wouldn’t make up for the following. We are very laid back people and if we dine out and something’s wrong or cooked not how I like I am usually one of those people that doesn’t say anything and when the waiter comes to check your meal is alright I just nod and say yes. Well at Nando’s we didn’t get checked on once! Just had our starter and main brought to us but then when the main came (which I must say how fast it came had us doubting it was even cooked long enough) I had chicken butterfly and as we guessed when I cut into it, it was pink and bits of stringed blood was visible. It was weird and I didn’t want to cause a fuss but my partner took it back to which they brought another out but understandably I was put off by this point. Not to be a picky person at all but just to state a point - they were also sauce all over the menus, table still had bits of sauce and food on. The waiting staffs hospitality was appalling, it’s a shame as we have been to this one before a few month back and it wasn’t that bad. It was enough to put you off going to any Nando’s again and we love Nando’s!

I understand Valentines is a very busy day for any restaurant especially near a cinema. My husband and I decided to go to Nando’s after watching ‘Black Panther’ around 8pm on the 14th of this month. There was a table by the door on the left as you walk in which looked free as there weren’t any indication somebody was sitting there. I asked a waitress if we could sit there and she said yes. Returned for the first time in years on a weekday evening after a trip to the cinema and really enjoyed it. Swift service from friendly young staff, I had the sunset burger which was delicious. I think the prices are on the high side considering how easy it is to replicate at home, which is probably why I've not been for so long, but enjoyed it nevertheless.

£8.45 for a chicken wrap and chips. Was a bit grubby in places especially the toilets. Ok for a fast food joint I suppose. Staff were nice. Wouldn't go again,sorry.

Post cinema meal with kids, had a variety of meats and heats, all delicious. Quick, pleasant service. Everything clean and tidy. Cool decor and African vibes. Really nice. The best chain quick food place by far.

The service was absolutely terrible. The person seating us was nice, an Asian boy, he gave us the table I wanted. I was speaking a bit loudly I’ll admit, but this waitress with blond platinum hair was giving me dirty looks the whole visit. Then I saw the whole team congregate in one area and start talking, presumably about my table they were all looking over at us. It ruined the atmosphere of my night. What kind of miserable teenagers do they employ at this joint? A disgrace. My Nando’s was far from cheeky. IN ADDITION, our empty plates were stinking up the place for a full five minutes. Been to loads of Nando's as the food comes quick and it's always good, we were seated promptly and the staff were friendly and attentive. Visited the toilet before ordering as we'd been out shopping for hrs and that's where the problems started, they were absolutely filthy, the toilet seat was hanging off, had to wipe it first before use, sink was leaking and just the general dirt on walls and floor left me feeling itchy! Back to table which was sticky and had the previous diners DNA all over it was asked to be cleaned twice! Not wanting to disappoint the kids, I reluctantly ordered and the food was ok (made sure we wiped the cutlery first!) this place needs fumigating seriously, food splashed on walls, grimy floors and furniture, very young staff so they probably don't pay much attention to the decor but how this place is allowed to carry on serving food without a major outbreak of e-coli I don't know? Sort yourselves out Nando's or expect a visit from the health food inspectors, no re-visit from us, sorry!

Tried booking my local as were fed up having to wait 20-30mins everytime we go and was informed as it was a table for 2 they wouldnt reserve a table however they didnt expect it being busy and we oukd only have to wait 25-30min Sum how i dont think so I DEFO WONT BE EATING Here ever again!!!!!!!!!

Second visit in as many months here. The service was great again. Despite being busy I was quickly seated and I placed my order. It wasn't long for my meal to arrive and was very good. When I was finished I wasn't rushed for my table even with several people waiting, I was happily left for my meal to go down before leaving. Will defiantly be back when I'm next in the region

Nandos is a great place for anyone who likes chicken, i have a chronic illness so i can't eat spicy food, yet i still love nandos, and the staff at nandos are very polite

Great chicken dishes. Many strenghts of heat for the chicken so suitable for the whole family. Sides are delicious too. Garlic bread, corn, salads. Also you can get bottomless soda for £2.60 great value.

Not been to Nandos for a few years now...This is a nice clean but small restaurant, the service was great considering how busy it was. Staff friendly and attentive-full marks. However essentially Nando's is just chicken breast in a pitta with chips....they have seriously shrunk the portions since my last visit...there's just enough but at £28 for 2, with just a couple of cokes its not value for money...its OK but I wouldn't return. Chips and salad cost pennies-simply a bigger portion and customers would be rating them much higher....but probably still a little pricey for what it is..you could make the same at home for less than £6 for two...

Regular visitor to Nando's and always know what to expect - average/good food and I like the self service aspect. Consistent with every trip Only complaint is that it is expensive given that you are not waited on - costs the same price for a meal for 2 in many nicer restaurants!
