Food super but staff hopeless. Took over an hour to get food after wrong food delivered.

It's OK, but very slow. I had to chase food.

Other than playing great music, I was particularly impressed by the 3 young people working at close with maturity and professionalism. A big thank you to Ellie, Ranya and Finley.

One of the staff was a really helpful, considerate waiter/welcomer type. Another was much more rude and impatient. One dish arrived completely cold but fixed personally by the helpful one. Food tastes the usual for nandos. Atmosphere rubbish as full of loud teens, but that can't be helped.

Ordered online. Half the order was missing.

I have never experienced such a shambolic place. The restaurant was filthy and the food was stacking up and getting cold whilst staff ignored it. They really couldn't be bothered, which let to a miserable experience.

Quick service, usual Nandos food - reliable.

Mo was exceptional at resolving an issue, he made sure we got super crispy chicken wings.

Extremely poor service. Waited 50mins for our food with no explanation or apology. Everyone around us was getting their food before us. When asked for something as a gesture of goodwill/compensation we were told they can only offer free dessert which neither of my kids have. Actual Manager made no effort to even speak to us or kindly acknowledge or apologise. Tahek, deputy manager at least made some effort to explain and apologise. Also, no plates out, and considering staff were aware of our issue, would have been nice if they had brought them out to our table at least when we informed them there were no plates. Won’t be coming here again

Slow service. Food not hot. Atmosphere not great. Not the for the first time. Wouldn't recommend and wont go back

The food is so amazing 🤩. Especially with the vusa peri sauce . You should try it . And the afro house infused playlist makes me feel at home . But a little amendment should be made to the peach ice tea. Doesn’t taste like an ice tea at all 😂. Except for that it’s all amazing .

Very unimpressed. We had enjoyed a lovely Nandos in Stevenage the week before, so much so that we thought it would be the same here. Wrong! Luke-warm chips, the 'non-chicken' wrap I had seemed half cooked, again, only luke-warm and indescribable and the limp lettuce inside the wrap had seen better days! My other half's bun was dry and left it. One of the staff came over and asked if we were enjoying our meal, we said not really, no, but she just walked off! What a joke! Needless to say we wont be visiting here again and definitely do not recommend!!

Service was really nice and food was good

I love nandos so its always a high rating this branch did have an issue with their soft drinks machine and it upset me that they didn't tell me before I'd purchased two bottomless soft drinks. The drinks were flat and tasted terrible, I was told to go to their 1st floor to use the upstairs one, it was no better. But none the less it was still a great meal fast service and polite staff. I'd defo go back if I'm in the area

Yesterday I was horrified to find a long black hair in my salad the staff did bring me a fresh salad when I had nearly finished my meal. And we were given a free dessert as an apology which I could not eat because I was gluten free

It's Nandos so consistent offering across the chain. Food was great and then you try and get three glasses of bottomless coke in to make it worthwhile (and fail)

Terrible severe with a bad attitude

Ordered food for collection and got there at the selected time, the food then took a further half hour to arrive.

Terrible service. The staff are slow and switched off. The staff are just not interested, they defo need some customer service training as they were Just floating about. I had to ask twice to have the table wiped from previous customer.The food took ages to come and when it did it was cold, can’t be sure of the quality either as I didn’t feel so great the next day. Pretty much sure it’s the worst Nando’s experience I’ve had. Don’t bother going to this place waste your time and money. Only good thing was the decor was nice.

Went to Nando’s at St Albans yesterday afternoon. Ordered two bottomless drinks, a butterfly chicken and butterfly burger with all the sides. We were seated upstairs. Told to order our food via QR code. Tried multiple times but it would not go through (this would have been the sign to leave!). My wife used the bathroom - WHAT A COMPLETE DISGRACE !!!! As a food retailer, surely you understand hygiene is extremely important. After using the bathroom, I was worried about eating the food at the restaurant. You have an interactive type of business which means patrons are moving around your restaurant. I think you are going to find that if swabs are taken around the restaurant and sent for examination, you will be shut down. Filthy! Left side Coke Zero dispenser spurted coke all over me. The right one was working. Food arrived. Butterfly chicken was edible, the burger looked terrible and was.I have small hands, I’m not expecting a double chicken fillet to be smaller than the palm of my hand. It was very dry! At a whopping £41 for chicken and chips, you really are better off going to the local chicken shop! We finished and left. The team were very young, and perhaps a more experienced supervisor is required. Hygiene definitely needs to be investigated, and at these prices a cleaning attendant should be permanently on the premises. I knew the original founders of Nando’s when I used to live in Ealing, their first outlet, and I don’t think this is what they intended for their great establishment to become, average food with small portions at very high prices, exact opposite of when they first started. Their current owners, no doubt bankers, are laughing all the way to the bank at our expense, no more Nando’s for me. I can accept smaller portions at higher prices reluctantly, but not when the chicken quality is so bad, and it really was. Very sad

Chicken was great with extras but this Nando's outlet needs a long overdue face lift. Tacky plastic covered chairs and sticky black tables do not make a pleasant environment. Staff are polite and helpful but atmosphere welded to dreary 70s decor style.

Nando's is fantastic. Whenever I have been to this one I have never had to wait for a table and the food has always been good.

Friendly, helpful staff. Cool atmosphere, clean, bright. You scan a code at table, place order & pay from phone, then they bring food to you table. Food was ok, not bad but not stellar either. Loaded chips were good. Grilled chicken wrap was fine. Full platter sauce was good, chicken was a little dry, Cole slaw good, creamy mash was dry & clumpy w/o much flavor, peri salted chips a good choice, garlic bread good, spicy rice didn't have much flavor. Rainbow slaw and corn on cob were out of stock. One fino pitta was ordered without the caramelized onions and it came with the onions. Unfortunately the chicken on the fino pitta was a bit too charred and dry. Four boneless chicken thighs were good, needed more flavor so added some sauce from counter and it was better!

It was wonderful experience to dine with family there.

Main arrived hot, sides were served cold (also dry and chewy in the case of the garlic bread) Staff seemed new as we're struggling with finding buttons, and genuinely seemed surprised when I asked for the sides to be served hot. Unlikely to come back any time soon

Food going downhill customer service going up!!

Saff were not entirely as friendly as other restaurants. Food was long in being brought to the table. Needs improving for the long run.

Poor experience with both takeout and Deliveroo. Walked 10 mins into town to pick up dinner from Nando’s, only to get home and find out they didn't include the most important part - chicken! Called up and they were very unhelpful and asked me to walk another 20min round trip to collect said chicken - no thanks! A couple of months later we decided to give it another go, this time via Deliveroo - guess what… no chicken!! Deliveroo refunded the chicken, but I can’t for the life of me work out how it’s so difficult to pack a bag for takeaway. We won’t be going back anytime soon.

Tables were dirty, food came out so fast but was cold.

Chicken, chicken livers and the sides were very good. Spent £182.00 on the order. Need to change the rolls for the chicken burgers. They were very hard to chew. The rolls were so thick and dence and hard to chew. In the end we just ate the chicken. It was a shame as we were looking forward to the burger. Please change the rolls. Otherwise the food was good

One the best Nandos restaurants ever been , clean and not overcrowded

Friendly, willing to prepare the food to customers satisfaction. Good hospitality and good environmental atmosphere. Highly recommended

You know what you're getting....bit overpriced some of it ie the salads nearly 10.00 for not very much

Usually decent but can be a bit slow to meet collection orders, and 4 out of 5 times usually get something wrong with a side in a combo meal (e.g. missing or incorrect). Staff all nice to deal with but seems like they could do with more help on busy days.

What a refreshing experience, not only was the food and service excellent but the personal attention from Akshay the manager was worth 2 five stars at the least. Hang on to him, he is a 10 star !

Was on my way home to plympton, plymouth from tytenhangen, st albans and I had a bus to catch up with at town hall. So i branched a few minutes to get chips from nandos. I was given d best treatment. Just mentioning that i am travelling back to plymouth, they added a box of chicken wings for me free and asked me to have any sauce of my choice.

I am a big Nandos fan, this is one of the best, the food was piping hot and came out very quicky.

Best Nando’s experience I’ve had! Nice venue, friendly staff, loads of tables, food came out in record time and was lovely.

Good service, windows on 1st floor aren’t completely sealed so you feel a bit of a draught on a cold day. Other than that the food is 10/10.

Ordered food was delivered to me even it took a while but chips came out cold but the waiter was nice and lovely enough to replace the chips and garlic bread came out what I was expected to very nice which I had enjoyed it

Several items were cold and had to be reheated, atmosphere wasn't as good as usual, staff sorted the cold dish issues straight away without fuss.

Came in with a group of 5 and Niha Was very welcoming and friendly towards our group of friends,Customer Service was great from her always smiling and happy going,Food was also great !

Non Dairy Free Gulten Free Vegan

Food took ages to arrive and arrived cold. The chicken was really dry compared to other nandos I’ve been to. All the food didn’t come out at the same time so my mother was left waiting for hers even longer. Staff didn’t seem bothered about customer service at all.

This is the replacement for an undercooked Medium chicken. Staff can not be bothered.

Quite bland and mildly undercooked food, bad salad and really awful desserts (brownie cut of the solid wooden plank), topped with slow and unorganised staff. Didn't like it really, won't be coming back. Much worse than any other Nandos I've been in.

We were a group of 7 and they put us upstairs. We were the only table upstairs. We made 4 orders. 1 drinks/3 food 25’ after placing the order of drinks no glasses were brought to us, had to go downstairs and ask for them and we were told that someone is bringing your food and will bring your glasses. Waited but nothing, had to ask someone that was on his break to get us some glasses upstairs. They didn’t know what bottle of wine we ordered and they had to double check. They didn’t know what cider we order and they had to double check. 1st food order comes all fine. 2nd order comes, perinaise was missing. 3rd order comes, coleslaw and salad was missing. We order another cider at the till, in order to get it straightaway but they said that someone will bring it to the table. 10’ later some comes and says sorry we don’t have anymore stock, you want something else or refund?we asked for refund. They gave us £4,75 in 20p coins, even though it was bought by card. The restaurant was not busy, the staff was not interested at all to make sure we got everything, they kept saying let me double check. Nice refurbishment with fancy sofas and everything but seriously you need to do something about the way you serve and take care of your customers.

Nice place, no one serving as we entered, so wasn’t sure on where to sit. Ordered drinks and food via app but no glasses bought to table.

Always good to see the staff calling out loudly in front of the diners 'Yo Yo Yo the managers coming' and then start to wipe down tables!! date 15 Aug 2022, instead of making sure clean knives and forks are available, as there wasnt any and I had to ask. Very very poor!

Great stuff. A standard Nandos with upstairs and downstairs seating. Standard menu. The food was served promptly and the servers were attentive.

Food was great the toilets were outrageous I used their toilets and someone had urinated all over the floor in the toilet cubicle and it was all up the back of my shorts

Ok, food is good. No complain on that. Staff, not so much. Ordering food on deliveroo most of the time as no time to visit restaurant, but like the food. Every 3-4 times items missing from the order, which you never get, unless you reorder, more fees, and delivery time. This time the second order is mixed up too, with hot sauce on it, which someone of the family cannot eat. I will definitely ordering my chicken from somewhere else from now on. My patient is has run out. Please sort your staff issues out, I know it’s not easy, but you will be loosing more customers if this keep happening

Great service from the gentleman on door/serving. Friendly from my arrival and apologised for the wait (which was less than five minutes)! Food was really nice, second time having the imitator burger and this was much nicer than the one I'd had in London. Great experience, thanks St Albans :)

Do NOT eat here. Recently ate here and I then had food poisoning - could only be from here as hadn’t had any other meats or things within the past 72 hours. Made me super ill and customer service isn’t great either. Don’t eat here

First time eating at a Nandos. Delicious chicken, coleslaw, and chips plus the sauces are amazing😋This place did not disappoint and it is now one of my favorite restaurants! I only wish they existed in the EU and US!

Amazing food as always. Fast service and delicious chicken thighs.

Great food, service was very slow considering there was only us and 1 other table. Our food was left sat for ages because instead of coming and asking us if food was ours they just left it and assumed it was the wrong table number. Clearly our appetites were a lot bigger than those who were serving if they thought it was too much food to be for the same table. Disappointed because one side was coleslaw and this was left under the heater with the other food.

Worst take away I have ever bought.This is what they think is good enough to sell to customers. Garnish is like slop, chicken breast has no flavour and tastes like its been washed in soap, bun is about 5 days old. Can't believe it actually.

I don't generally take out from a Nandos but I needed to in this instance. The food was prepared as ordered. The service from the person organising & distributing orders was well handles and she was helpful as well as polite. Thoroughly enjoyed my Nandos from here and will definitely order again takeout as well as eat in! Thanks @Nandos

This store is not the biggest we have been to, although its very pleasant, the staff were friendly and helpful. The upstairs is definitely the best place to dine as it's more cozy.

Food was great, but order booked for 17h10 collection on their website... and had to wait 15 minutes for it to be completed!

Food took an age to come and when it did it was pretty cold. Flavours were good but customer service non existent and whilst it’s just a nandos you’d expect more

There has always been missing items when ordered for delivery from this Nandos and have never been replaced or rectified. Dining in was better and food was average (not up to the normal Nandos standard). We also found the staff a little unprofessional.

The server was warm, welcoming and helpful. The food arrived without much delay and was hot and cooked to perfection. Very happy with this establishment

This Nandos seems to be incapable of putting the right items in your takeaway, make sure you check anything you get from them.

Waited too long for a table in an empty restaurant

Lack of hygiene and food standards. Absolutely rubbish- they served both of our dishes cold! The chicken was cold in the centre and not even cooked properly. The manager didnt even apologise. This place is run by young inexperienced staff. The chefs were holding their mobile phones in the kitchen.
