Nando's - Glasgow Fort in Glasgow City

Enjoyed chicken starter big portions and Carbonara was mouthwatering. Lovely staff gave me a box so I could take half my starter home with me . Excellent service, attentive, friendly and very welcoming ... music was good too.

Horrible place to work. A friend of mine lost his job a few months ago in this Nandos because he was unable to work early mornings in Nandos that are miles away and take multiple buses to travel to, while Nandos Glasgow Fort was being refurbished. Getting multiple buses to arrive somewhere early in the morning isn’t always practical. This is something the managers at Glasgow Fort don’t understand or respect. I recently discovered that a coworker of his lost her job for defending herself against a man who was shouting at her and other people in the restaurant. This man approached her shouting and being aggressive, she asked him to stop shouting as he was scaring the children around him. Her manager was well aware of this incident and told her that next time she should get the manager straight away rather than interacting with an aggressive customer. She told her manager she felt afraid of this man and that was why she felt she had to say something. The customer reported this woman for discrimination as he had a disability and claimed her defending herself against him was discrimination, it was her word over his and they chose to believe him over a loyal employee. The man received a £100 voucher and has been back in the fort Nandos since this incident. The employee who lost her job over “discrimination”faced a lot of discrimination in this workplace as there was constant comments made in the staff room about her age and abilities due to this. This is something she wasn’t aware of but managers and supervisors were and regularly turned a blind eye to the comments made behind her back about her age. The cutlery is also not cleaned properly and l would not reccomend anyone ever eating or working here.

Don’t do reviews , but completely dissatisfied with food , the chicken burger which I normally get at the other restaurants is always good an a decent size This visit was a complete joke , the chicken was tiny and wafer thin also the slice of tomato was the top of it where stem goes Would not recommend this place whatsoever !!!

Incredible how this place is still in business. How they treat customers is unacceptable. Place is empty and they've ll me 25 minutes before I can get a table and not only that, you are not allowed to wait inside the restaurant. Incredible.

I prefer the Nando's in town or Silverburn everytime I've been here they've burned my chicken I could only taste that then when I mentioned it they said that they grill the chicken so it's meant to have a chargrilled taste but I have had chargrilled Steaks, Chicken and more and they never taste burned worse experience 0* might have just been my experience but I won't be back and from then on I've always went to Silverburn or the town if I can't be bothered with the journey I just don't go.

the worst nandos i have experienced. let me just say the only thing wrong with the food was that it was cold. the service made the experience as bad as it was. there was 3 of us and 1 of the main meals were brought out approximately 20 minutes before the other 2, even before all 3 starters had been brought out. the halloumi starters were all cold, the staff were all kinda wondering about having a laugh, even the chefs in the kitchen seemed to be procrastinating while we were waiting for the other 2 meals which left us all feeling a bit sour. not really the service you want when visiting an establishment which will set you back upwards of £20 each, per visit

We just ordered pitas for take away and back home noticed that one of the chickens was completely burnt. It was dark dark. This is unacceptable. Where is the quality control?

Incredibly disappointed with my visit to Nandos last week. After having a nice lunch, I went to change my baby in the 1 disabled/changing area in the restaurant. However, was advised that the key had been lost and there was no alternative area for me to use. A man in front of me in a wheelchair was told flippantly by a member of staff 'if we've lost the key, we've lost the key', who then shrugged and walked away. The poor man had no choice but to have his carer empty his colostomy bag in the hallway outside where the toilets are which is not only unsanitary but stripped the poor man of his privacy and dignity. I was told I had to go elsewhere such as Costa to change my baby who was getting very upset at this point as we had been waiting so long. It was such a disappointment and to be honest I don't even know if this situation is legal and should probably be investigated. I will not be going back here again and if you are disabled or have young children, I would avoid as it is not accessible.

Not my favourite place. Only serve chicken, have removed the steak sandwich the only meat dish they offered. Staff while attentive were not knowledgeable about dietary requirements

Food was lovely and didn’t take long at all. Prices have increased a bit. I used to spend 30 pound for two in here but you’re looking at around 50 now but not too different from most places.

The ordering process is, like other places, pathetic. There are plenty of staff but you have to either navigate an app on your phone or queue up to order. You get your own condiments. The food gets delivered to your table. No idea why staff cannot just take orders too.

Had a really tasty meal here! 1 star lost on service as had to get drink cups ourselves as ordered on the app and they never arrived but overall still great. 20 min wait for a table but this meant the chicken was very fresh and not dry at all.

Food was fine, tho they missed off the dressing from the salad. Service was slow and odd, drinks came v late, and waiting staff were seemingly quite uncomfortable with talking to people.

My partner and I dined here today (19/9/23) and were served by Scott. He took the time to explain how the ordering system worked and chatted about how various things on the menu were compared to others. The food was good (although it could have been hotter temperature wise in my opinion), but alas didn't entirely spoil it. We particularly liked the drinks station where you helped yourself to unlimited supplies. It was well organised, as was the cutlery, napkins, and sauces. The toilets were clean and it had some good music playing with good sound quality within the toilets. Service was quick overall, although on our arrival there was nobody to 'greet' guests which slightly confused us as we weren't sure whether we had to be seated by staff or seat ourselves. This was soon picked up on and clarified by Scott.

Food took a while to come, which is unusual as normally pretty fast. Didn’t bring our glasses over and had to ask for them after ordering on the app. Food was fine but then it’s just chicken and chips.

Ordered on the app. After 20 minutes had to chase up our drinks and glasses. After 50 mins had to chase up the food. Turns out they'd run out-of wings and were making more but at no point communicated this. Another 5 to 10 mins finally got the food. Food itself was excellent at least.

Lots of items missing from the menu when we were there last which was a shame. Other than that, as expected.

Fast and efficient service. Food was hot and tasty, we had calamari starter and hot and spicy fettuccini.

The food is as good as nandos usually is and the staff do a good job with how busy the restaurant is however staff that welcome you at the door often rude and short when telling you it's a 45+ wait. I don't understand why there is no booking system.

I ❤️ Nandos. We went here as we were out shopping. Waited 30 mins for a table. The brocoli was cold 🥶 I was going to stay to the staff, but the que was huge, so I could not be bothered. It was really busy but the restaurant was still really cold.

It's a Nando's. Service was quick and mostly friendly and we were able to order on the app. You know what you're getting, not much more to say really. Oh, I dropped a point because their Wi-Fi wasn't working which made ordering a bit tricky.

Visited Nandos @ the Fort after some shopping and we were seated quite promptly despite the usual wait was great. I had an issue with my order being wrong but this was promptly fixed albeit a little unorthodox switching order items between different plates. It's a fast paced restaurant with a lot of revolving custom which do show unfortunately. The cutlery wasn't very clean and it felt a bit hectic and rushed.

Was greeted at door by Paul we hadn't been b4 so he showed us to our table and talked us through ordering process what a lovely guy very polite and knowledgeable food was excellent and rest of staff were very polite but not in your face Well done guys we'll definitely be back

I had this at 2 stars, however I've upped it to 3 because they do amazing chicken liver and mash.

Came here wasn't too busy got seated right away then about 10 mins later there was a queue. We ordered a chicken combo platter for 2 quite pricy and not a lot of chicken. The waitress came out with order and 2 dirty plates we asked if she could change it and came back with another 2 dirty plates. Food was ok a bit overpriced.

It is such a difficult one. The restaurant looked nice but we didn't order or eat as a member of our party had allergies. We didn't feel confident that we would be catered for due to the hesitation received when we explained our allergies.

No suelo hacer esto, pero la chica que nos regaló nuestra colección nos mostró un servicio al cliente sorprendente. Pedí agregar un perinaise y me dijeron que no debería preguntar, pero que esta vez ella lo haría. Le expliqué que me había olvidado de agregarlo a mi pedido en línea, pero tenía mi tarjeta para pagarlo, luego dijo que las cajas estaban bajas. . ¿No entiende cómo todos en el restaurante pagaban sus comidas? Luego, Kida revoloteó y conversó con una chica y luego dijo que pensaba que era algo incorrecto a pesar de que mi esposo le dijo que era correcto. Go here quite often as it local to me. The staff are very polite and helpful and the service is great. I especially love their spicy rice and creamy mash it's so tasty. The place has a very relaxing atmosphere and seats are also comfortable. Great chillin place with great food

Look - to be honest, I am a Nandos fan - through and through. It is my favorite place to eat as I know exactly what I am going to get. The staff are generally always good and generally conform to the brand image. I can happily report that this branch fitted the bill for me - once again. I did prefer the style and branding of the older branch but I do accept that they needed more space and in doing so have lost a little bit of closetting. But at least they are not constantly turning people away as much.

ordered a take away online - restaurant was busy - when sitting waiting I could see my order sitting on the pass for which seemed ages - was given order by a very pleasant girl who read the order off but didnt check that what was there matched the order - I sadly didnt pick up on this - when I got home there was parts of one meal missing and also a side - I called to complain and the response that I got was dissapointing to say the least - I wont be rushing back

Somos asiduos en Nando, pero desafortunadamente no regresaremos al fuerte de Nando en Glasgow porque estamos hartos de recibir alimentos fríos, pedidos erróneos o artículos faltantes en su pedido, por lo que es difícil que reciban los pedidos correctos o lleguen a tiempo.

Cuando nuestra comida llegó, los camareros trajeron entrantes y comidas por correo juntos y con las bebidas ya sobre la mesa, fue un poco apretado y debido a esto no pedimos ningún postre.

He estado en Nando muchas veces y en diferentes lugares, ¡y este tiene que ser uno de los mejores restaurantes en los que he estado! A pesar de estar "limpiados", la mesa y las sillas estaban pegajosas y visiblemente sucias cuando nos sentamos. Todos los menús tenían residuos de comida y también estaban pegajosos y sucios. Esto no me preparó para la peor área del restaurante, que era los baños. ¡Parece que los pisos no han visto un trapeador en años! ! Los baños y el asiento estaban cubiertos de suciedad. Los dispensadores de papel higiénico no funcionaban y, por lo tanto, se dejaron rollos de papel higiénico en recipientes sanitarios que también estaban sucios. Si hubiera visitado el baño antes de comer me hubiera ido.

Good food. Kids portions pretty small so need to order extra sides. Frozen yoghurt is fab and good for the thighs 😉 Spice options good.

Went with my daughter. We both had the pitta bread and chicken one was plain and the other lemon and herb with chips and peri salt followed by caramel cheesecake with cream and hot choc brownies with ice cream. Absolutely delicious. Restaurant very clean with helpful and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Visited with my kids, sister in law and niece. We ordered and the food took an age to come and then came in dribs and drabs. My veggie order came last (and most of our party were finished their food). I bit into my wrap without checking only to discover it had chicken in it.

Friendly staff and everyone enjoyed their food but everytime I go I always buy the boneless platter for myself and the breast is always very dry and overcooked although the rest of chicken was fine, this always puts me off.

After buying my husband a new suit we couldn't be bothered cooking so headed to Nando's as I had heard it had been refurbished and I love chicken and Nando's, I wasn't disappointed, we both had Sunset Burgers which are basically double thigh burgers which are juicy and delicious, we shared sides of Chargrilled vegetables and chips washed down with refillable soft drinks, we'll definitely be back, the staff were very accommodating in getting me the right space for my wheelchair which was much appreciated as they were very busy, so top marks for both customer service and food

I usually love a trip to Nando's but this visit was just okay. The new refurbished layout reminds me of a prison cafeteria, I think the old furniture and design was a lot better. We were told we would have to wait 30 minutes on a table allthough there were atleast 3 or 4 tables not being used at that time and they did not allocate anyone to those tables for ages. The chicken was a little dry but portion sizes were good. The girl who served our food though did not smile and to be honest looked like she couldn't be bothered.

The staff seem poorly trained and didn’t even seem to know their own menu. They messed up the order and when the manager came over to sort it out he had a massive chip on his shoulder and rather than apologise had an attitude.

Service from attentive staff and food was excellent. Felt a bit crushed in eating area .First time visited and it was easy enough to follow menu and drinks filling station etc but the toilets are so dark that it’s difficult to be able to find the door etc if place is unfamiliar.

Loved Nandos until they closed for refurbishment and introduced new menu. Favourite was Chicken Pitta. Now!!!

La primera vez que hemos sido desde que fue modernizado, y parecía mucho más brillante. Inconveniente con la banqueta con mesas individuales, aunque, si la gente en todo el mundo una sensación de estar al final de rebote, así que puede ser molesto si quieres un poco de paz y alguien los niños están rebotando arriba y abajo. También nueva mesa para 2 movía mal teniendo en cuenta que son nuevas, las cabinas estaban mejor a este respecto.

Most Nando's are all the same, however this one is the best one I've been to. It is always clean even when it's busy. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. Always quick to be seated. the food is always great, and comes out quickly. this is always my go to Nando's.

I'm am starting this review by saying I am not a Nando's fan, however we had a gift voucher, so decided to use it since we were passing. We were a family of four and the staff were all passing between themselves deciding who was actually seating us. We placed our order, however before it arrived, my son changed his mind and wanted to order a kids meal instead of large chips. The girl who served me (Annie) was great! Really helpful, changed everything over and pushed the order through - super service! Sunset burgers were tasty and my son loved the kids chicken wings. His ice cream was worth a mention too - really creamy! The endless soft drinks are great and the visit was good. However I still think with the amount of staff, it could quite easily be table service or for them to at least bring your cutlery.

Lovely evening, walking around the Fort. Lots of choices and decided on nandos as had not been for a while.Normally have to wait but got a seat immediately. Served quickly with no fuss. Seemed a bit longer than usual for food to arrive. However it arrived hot and tasty. Staff are always friendly and polite.Recommend a visit.

Phoned to book it, took less than 30 seconds, never experienced that before.Had to phone and cancel couple of days later, that took several minutes because receiver, in my opinion, was not listening. Frustrating!Will not ever book a meal at that place again.If they can't get bookings correct, what chance the meal!Sorry, but honest.

I'm not long back from nandos, after a family meal, cannot fault the quick service, but my delicious veggie burger was excellent appart from it being lukewarm, and as for my chips they were even more lukewarm, which spoilt my meal, good size portions left no room for desserts,hopefully it will be better the next time......

We had a great lunch and staff were great with the pram etc. Order came out in decent time. Food cooked perfectly. Only complaint was from my son who wanted wifi whilst I fed the baby.

Been to this place several times with no issues. This one is always busy no matter what time you go. Staff always friendly with quick service.Do think Nando's is a bit over priced in general though!

I have never visited Nandos in the UK as I am not 17 and not on the dating scene. When I visited them in their home country of South Africa where it is like a McDonalds or KFC I was very impressed. Great food and value for money. In the UK however it is not as nice and way overpriced. Its just chicken in a wrap - £7?? very ordinary and why I know a lot of people speak very highly of Nandos, I just don't get it. When you visit a restaurant, you expect food that you can't simply do yourself at home. I felt this wasn't a 'restaurant' more of an expensive fast food place with cutlery and plates. Very average and I felt over priced. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Stoped in at Nando's for a bite to eat and had to wait 25 minutes, but it was worth it the food was great and the staff were great also.
