Nando's Chicken Restaurant in Stevenage

First ever visit to Nando’s I have to say I won’t be rushing back. The food was tasty enough but for what was on the plate it wasn’t value for money.

Visited for something quick to eat after work and before an evening out at the local theatre. Absolutely dreadful 😫. Waited more than 40 minutes for our food before giving up and requesting a refund. Staff wandering around not appearing to know what to do. Too much focus on takeaways and not enough on customers in the restaurant. Left hungry and disappointed, never to return.

Came here for dinner, food in total came to £55. When it came the beanie pitta had no salad or mayonnaise in it, was just the patty & the pitta, when told the staff about this they came back with a plate of ‘salad’ dumped on a plate. The chicken was burnt and unable to eat it, the halloumi had been cut in half so there was half a portion. When one member of staff asked if everything was okay, we made them aware of the issues & all they done was say “oh sorry” and walked off. It was very disappointing and as we were about to leave the manager asked if it was nice, we then made him aware of the issues as well, he asked for my email address to send a voucher as an apology but as this happened 2 weeks ago and still no voucher of apology. We have been to this Nandos many times and the last few times it has been disappointing but this experience has been the worse. Waste of money & very disappointed overall with the food and the staff.

Lovely visit with family, servers were really friendly and helpful. Service was quick and tables cleared and cleaned quickly. I had the butterfly chicken breast and my daughter in law had the butterfly burger. The rainbow slaw is lovely! Looking forward to returning!

Can’t go wrong with dinner at nandos. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Food was tasty. Would recommend to others.

What can we say! The manager Jay is incredible what a lovely guy. His customer service is remarkable. We have been to this Nando’s a handful of times and every time we are greeted with the most warm smile. Jay went above and beyond to check the amount of money we had on our Nando’s gift card! And even gave us an additional discount. We are so grateful and love coming into Nando’s Stevenage. The team also seem so vibrant.

We went to Nando’s today for dinner food came lovely and hot had no problems I would like to mention a member of staff I found him very helpful and he was nice polite well mannered his name was makel

Seriously dont bother the food was cold. Save your money. We spent £20 for a pretty sub standard meal which was just reheated under a grill and it was not even hot, just luke warm. Presentation was drab not even a piece of garnish or colour. The chips were cold like they had been laying in the scoop for ages. Very dissapointed, we would of been better off going to mcdonalds, at least the food may of been hot.

My delivery did not arrive, I called customer support and was told it is my fault. I was told I will not get a refund. This level of service is disgusting, to say the least. I paid £38.72 to have no food and bad service, I am a customer and expected to be treated with care or given support but nothing was done. I would like for you to provide a full refund at the minimum! I really can't believe the level of service which I have received.

Cannot find a listing but after arriving at 6 pm last night we were told a 20-minute wait but not allowed to wait inside the restaurant!!!!! Eventually got a table 1 hour later. Orders are done through a QR code on the menu but everything we tried to order was "out of stock". so we gave up and went to Burger King next door. Very very very disappointing.

My friend and I ordered food and 30 minutes later it hadn't arrived so I went and asked when my food will be ready and turns out both of our orders had an error although we both payed. It's not the first time this has happened either.

Post riding lesson, famished. Hubby and I decided to go for a quick bite. Kai was our server today. What a delightful young person. Really engaging and a thoroughly pleaant young man. We had a delicious meal, it was served piping hot and well presented. We know what to expect now. American kind of theme to their pay first and get delivered but on the whole it works well.

This is the best Nandos in the country. I’ve been to a lot. Staff are great, particular Euan today! Great chat, friendly and helpful in all areas!

Hubby and I, big rush to get food, chose Nando's as it's consistent. Fast finger food, mexican /portuguese kind of fayre, chicken, wraps, vegan imitator, flavoursome, quick service, and great before a cinema date. We arrived, waited ten mins for a table. Lovely server, got out of restaurant in 55 minutes. It does what it needs to, fills a hole....tasty, and pretty much covers all dietary requirements. Can't grumble.

Worst experience that I been , horrible staff !!!! We greeted by one of the staff and said in 5 mins they will come to take us at the table , 15 min later another one comes to take our name again saying that 3-6 mins until we can sit down . After 5 min another one (manager ) saying that we need to wait 25 min for a table . Seriously I definitely not going back ever ! I give them 1 star, coz I can’t give them 0 !

Girlfriend and I went out for drinks and supper. Had the imitator, lush. Can't explain how good this is, prior to lots of booze! The spicy rice, the chips... it's just a mix of taste and fire! Staff really busy but still kept their cool and were really polite. Always a winner, Nando's. Keep it up.

Visited with friends, and food was good and tasty as ever, perfect ingredients to make a good night out with friends.

Good food and service however it gets crowded due to the amount of people collecting takeaways this also makes the environment very loud at times.

I ordered a halloumi and portobello mushroom burger which was quite possibly the worst thing I have ever seen. Although, what I could manage to eat, tasted good it was almost impossible to hold. More like a deconstructed burger, the contents were all over the place not in the burger. It was soggy and miserable. Will not be getting this again and I doubt I’ll ever return to the restaurant.

Never having been to a Nandos before, thought I'd try it for a quick lunch as I was in Stevenage. The staff were welcoming and friendly and showed me how to order my choice of food.

Great food but . No wi fi. Told they switch it off as otherwise customers stay to long!! Then manager said this wasn't true and wi fi for working for staff but not customers and had had problems with it for a long time. Given the reviews about people being rushed I'm inclined to believe the first teason given.Was offered a free meal on next visit. Must think we are idiots.

Popped in here after visit to the cinema. Busy but got a table straight away. No problems ordering. Food arrived super quick (considering how busy it was) and was just what you expect. Tasty chicken and sides. Plates cleared away efficiently and ice cream for the small one. All in all very satisfying experience.

Visited Nando's after walking out of another restaurant due to bad customer service. Can't fault the food, staff or the service we received. However, we were unable to relax for a considerable amount of time due to screaming children and children running about. My major beef is that the toilet was not in a good state and I had to spend time cleaning it before it was in acceptable state to use

Never disappointed with the food, staff are always helpful and polite. Although the starter was at my table about the same time as I was back from the till ordering it and my main arrived about 30 seconds later. I get it was busy but customer satisfaction and sittings need to be more regulated. But great food. Was the best 2 minutes 13 second meal I've ever had

The place was busy, Ordering food was done at the counter. I chose the refillable soft drink. The Coke Zero had no fizz and there was no ice working.

We drop in here after a trip to the cinema. It’s speedy and efficient, consistent in quality and taste. My vegetarian daughter likes the veg green wrap. Bottomless drinks. It’s the same as any other Nando’s I’ve been to.

Go here many times usually before cinema, they have a good habit of getting the food to us in 10-15 mins. Which is great cause we always get to our films on time. Staff are always really friendly, food always seems to be great standard.

Food and restaurant with the usual high quality. Nothing better or worse than other Nandos. Disturbing: once we entered the waiter told us, before even asking any question: You can only have 10 or max 15 min! I said: for ordering? He replied: no. For your dinner!!

Food is always hot and tasty, seating at the door on Saturday night only took 20 minutes which was a huge bonus! I'm a regular customer here and can never fault it!

We popped in here after visiting 360 soft play. The actual restaurant was clean and spacious. The waiter who took our order was Levente and he was very quick to take our order, process it and make any changes to the food due to dietary reasons. He also brought our food out and was more than happy to bring us not 1 but 4 pots of mayo, normally you have to ask for more but he obviously saw we needed the 4! The food was pipping hot on arrival and we loved the filo pitta’s!!! A waitress came to ask us how the food was and all in all the service was great! The only little down side was the toilets which weren’t 100% clean. Would come back again.

Chicken and sides, what more do you want? Clean and friendly restaurant, food comes out quickly and nicely presented. My only downside is that you can end up quite wedged in when busy.

Nando's has always been my fail safe for some great food, good and fast service for two hungry kids.

Went Wednesday 25th October 2018 as a party of six at 6.45pm and it was just too busy. I like Nando's as they offer good value food and drinks but we stood around for 40 minutes waiting for a table and we were not the only ones, it was really awkward as we were standing next to people eating which was not good for them. We were told ten minutes when we got there otherwise we would have gone elsewhere.

Everyone raves about nandos i ordered a chicken burger and chips £16!!!! Wtf then comes 2 burgers and chips then the wrong meal so she didnt listen to my order nor did i end up with what i wanted wont be going again usless staff

Went here with a friend. We have Nando’s a lot (minimum of once a week) this was the fist time at this store and sorry but it was the last due to the fact after ordering humus for starter and a half chicken the chicken arrived first and wasn’t till I was nearly finished and had to ask a member of staff to get the humus. It wasn’t full there was more empty seats than filled seats. I didn’t expect this at all.

Ok so everybody loves nandos. However this Friday just gone I went to get myself a cheeky nandos with a friend before we went cinema. First of all I was sooooo shocked at the girl on the tills - she just answered her phone on front of me and her boss and told us both she was taking the call and then was gone for a whole 5 mins!!!!!! In the mean time the manager I think just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders like this was ok. I was really not impressed. I then ordered a cheese cake to take home with me and was waiting 30 mins (tbh I lost track of time) but when I noticed how long it had been I went to the till to be told they forgot my order, the guy was so smug about it. Just some advise nandos - it's nice to be nice and not rude. Your employees in this branch are so rude!!!!!!!! I won't be coming back to this shop EVER!

Staff in this place are friendly, and the service is quite efficient, though when we visited today I'm not sure why they seemed to have taken some tables away, only to have to bring them back to accommodate extra customers; we noticed that one woman was even being asked to move her table to make way for an extra group of people.

When I lived in South Africa Nandos is a tradition I enjoyed very much. I learnt a lot about the company from the inside as my husband ran their adverts for all of S.A. So finding them here when we moved back was great. Still the same great food and sauces. Stevenage Nandos is as good as any in South Africa. Great staff. Food received quickly and tasted great.

Not a bad experience at this outlet of the (in)famous chain. Staff are usually not too bad. Service can be a little slow when the restaurant is busy.

Went there today at 12o'clock ordered meal for five people, was enjoying the meal. Some of us finished quicker NEXT thing we know they were taking away our plastes away while other of us were still eating and when we had all finished they were like a pack of lions and jumped on the table to clean it before we were out the door. ALSO they were circling around waiting to jump in and clean up felt very uncomfortable with it.

Go here many times usually before the cinema. We often come an hour before and the food comes reasonably quick so we have enough time for the movie. Staff are always warm and welcoming. Friday and Saturday around 6-8pm you will usually need to wait before being seated.

We have visited this restaurant many times and it’s one of our favourites! The staff are always welcoming, the food is hot, cooked to order and really yummy. Our last visit we were served by Hugh who was very smiley and saved me money on my order so a big thank you to him! We will be back very soon.

We were served by Bianka who was just a little ray of sunshine. Smiley and attentive with good knowledge of food! Recommended the Sunset burger which is now my absolute and always Go to food!

There was a time in my past where I wouldn’t even consider dining alone, for fear of being judged as to why I’m not with anyone. Would they think I had no friends, or that I am wasting a table that could accommodate more than just I? Whatever the reason, it’s not something I did, until I stopped caring. I didn’t stop caring about everything, just about certain things, and a table for one is something that stopped giving me those dreaded feelings of anxiety.

This is a chicken based Portuguese restaurant chain, with a busy atmosphere. Not fast food but not a fine dining restaurant either. This branch has some outdoor seating, but all you get is a view of the car park.

Been to many Nando's and this was by far the best! Quickly seated, food brought out so quickly and tasted great! On a busy Saturday night too!

Visited for quick bite to eat. Was seated really quickly. Unfortunately wasn't given a "cock" so there was no check back during the meal. The girl serving on the till was very friendly. No straws available in the drinks area. Food was nice. Enjoyed the halloumi sticks starter.

I've been to several Nando's and this one is very typical. The usual menu but a shiny new trendy and stylish restaurant, very conveniently placed next to Debenhams and lots of parking.

Group of two adults and five children..... all the children wanted chicken burgers but all with different combinations.... waited awhile then they were all served together and EVERY burger was correctly cooked.... well done

Wonderful food, great service, good value for money. Very helpful staff explaining how the restaurant worked as hadn't been there before.

Took the children for a well earned blow out at Nando’s inside the new Debenhams. It was dinner time but we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. The lady at the till took our order quickly and efficiently. The food arrived very soon after. We were all hungrier than we first realised! Food was well cooked and staff were helpful. Will return.

Run of the mill Nandos, was much better when it was a Chinese buffet beforehand. How do you review a Nandos, they are all the same apart from some of the older ones like Camden or Clapham that have a bit of character.

Always get the same, great consistent food from Nando's at most locations. This visit was ready faster than I expected. Plenty of parking available on a week day around 9pm.

Regularly, I go to Nando's...anywhere. It's my go to safe meal and always leaves me pretty satisfied. Used to the London Nando's butI've recently moved to Stevenage and was pleased to see there's a Nando's close by so I gave it a go and I was so impressed. Usually Nando's is kind of standard taste, consistency across the board but this was the first Nando's that was juicy, restaurant standard chicken. I went up and told the man at the counter to tell the chef that he needs a promotion or something to make standard Nando's, 5 star. I mean it's hard to get juicy chicken when you're grilling like 20 at once. I was well impressed lol it's so unlikely And for the price (not bad at all) it was god-like I hope that chef remembers my compliment and feels an immense sense of pride lmao

Went for lunch with 2 friends and we were served by Jasmine. She couldn't do enough to help & make our visit enjoyable. Well done little sparkle your doing a great job keep it up. Would have been 5 stars if the ladies toilets weren't such a mess 1 toilet had no lock on the door & looks like it hasn't for a while. In a chain like this that isn't ok!
