Nando's in Aberdeen City

I've visited Nando's in Swindon, Brixton and Bristol. The food was fabulous each time we visited. However, last night my family and I ate at the Aberdeen Academy Nandos and I have to say it was a poor experience. It was terrible value. The bun was small and tough (probably stale), there was too much sauce and was spilling out of the bun. The corn on the cob was cold and the coke tasted as if it had been watered down. The portions were on the small side too. Service was poor and, when asked how it was and I started to explain, the female member of staff walked off abruptly with a smile! Don't waste your time or hard earned money here.

Good restaurant with friendly staff and consistently good food. It's not the cream of the crop, but it's always reliable and well priced.

Good restaurant, nice place nice service and nice food. But it’s shame that there’re some racist teenagers there and insulting color people.

My daughter and I we love nandos at a treat once in a while . The Menu is great because there is also vegetarian options for people that don't like chicken The staff greets you nicely and asks you before you order if you got allergies to some spices what's very caring For us it's a great treat time a meal at nandos where you feel valued and looked after Also can say the nandks in Dundee is super great as Aberdeen

We came in to celebrate a friends birthday and on a whim if they had any candles to put on a brownie. They said they didn’t have any candles but offered us a free slice of cake. When he came over with it, he used his phone for some digital candles and some free brownie chunks for the rest of us! Thanks to Marcel for exceptional service!

Typical nando's. Good, quick and simple. Good food, cooked well.

Ordered on the app and took 25 mins later than my friend who ordered at the counter at the same time.

I had the chicken and halloumi pita and it was lovely. So was the garlic bread and tenderstem broccoli. All our food came quickly

The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. It's my favourite Nandos in Aberdeen. One thing I'm disappointed with is there's no more creamy salad dressing! That was the best sauce.

Great branch much prefer here compared to union sq. Food always comes out hot and quick service.

Today we visited Nando’s on Belmont street and we were looked after by Euan and he was awesome He was very polite tentative and I would come again just to see Euan

This place is decent. We ordered burgers and chips. The burger wasn’t good. The bread became hard after 3-4 mins of serving which led to an abysmal experience. We ended up eating just the chicken fillet inside and throwing away the bread. The fries are decent. The menu is quite pricey for the food they have to offer. Overall, an average experience!

The Portuguese waitress was fabulous. Kind and efficient.

I usually love nandos, but my last order from this place was disgusting :(

I have given 4 stars because the staff were fantastic the food was ok, saying that my wife had the grain type dish with Feta and it was out of this world, well worth a try next time you visit!!! I would like to say well done to all the staff especially our duty manager that was on the night we visited she (sorry I can't remember her name) was very helpful and knowledgeable.

You can't go wrong with Nando's. We visited Aberdeen for a concert and decided to visit the city centre. Sadly Aberdeen needs some serious council money spent on the town. It looks tired and many abandoned buildings with (sadly) many homeless people everywhere. Nando's was the only restaurant that looked reasonable. Food was cooked perfect, service was fast and the art work looked amazing (see my photo) Would I visit again...Nando's yes, Aberdeen TECA yea, city centre....No thank you!

Its been a while but it was good to go back, the chicken was as scrummy as I remembered. The only slight problem was there was no hot water to was my hands.

We are regulars here and often come in during peak hours. Never had any issues regarding food and it is always brought to us firmly and without hassle!

They claimed to be out of my selected sauce due to it being stuck at “boarders” however after looking into it union square nandos had selected sauce. They also took forever to get us our drinks and selected sauce. Very slow service not happy.

I’ve been to Nando’s, amazing food and I would like to right a review about the worker Sara. Such an amazing costumer service, so caring and carful with the allergy’s, give me such a good atmosphere to be there. Hands up the best worker!

Never going to ever order again! Deliveroo said they were sending food that never arrived! Then made out that it was our fault which was gutting as we had used the same details for every other Deliveroo delivery we have used. I hate leaving bad reviews...this is genuinely the first I have ever done but just so let down as me and our group of friend are left without food after it said it had been delivered and then horrible service afterwards! GUTTED!!!

Visited this restaurant on Friday night, very short wait for staff to prepare our table. Very clear restaurant, friendly staff, food was fresh and tasty.

We love Nando’s as a family, it’s great for my 2 and 5 year old to eat from the Nandinos menu. This visit we were with an 8, 9, 10 & 11 year old and each of them had a meal from the Nandinos menu. We soon discovered this was not enough food for them so you might want to consider ordering older kids something from the adults menu with 1 side? Drinks - you are now allowed to go and refill your own drinks now! App - you still order from the App. If having a starter, I’d recommend ordering and paying for it separately and then doing a second order for your main meal otherwise it will all come out at the same time. This particular location was clean and tidy, were able to seat a table of 10 of us together no problem.

The worst food ever, I’ve ordered previously last week and it was the same my food had not been cooked from when I placed my order it was delivered 10min later no time for it to even go near the grill which is the whole experience of Nando’s, it’s a shame as I use to love Nando’s but obviously the chef doesn’t like his job .

Absolutely loved our visit to Nando's Belmont! Lovely staff, food was great and we felt very safe and everything was explained well. Staff always making sure everything was good. Highly pleased with our service.

The room at the back was absolutely freezing. We had to wait for over half an hour for our food and it arrived cold. Very poor experience.

All 4 of us are long term Nando fans but.... Even though there were barely any customers (7.30pm) there were dirty plates and bowls on all but one of the booth tables and some of the other tables too. It felt grubby. Two of our chosen menu items weren’t available. One of these we had already paid for and it was 10 minutes before a member of staff came and told us. There were no forks. We had to go and ask the kitchen staff for them. Two orders got messed up e.g. forgot we had ordered a hummus. The food felt more sloppily presented than normal. Not sure what was going on but it didn’t make us want to go back....

Food okay (standard Nando’s). Immediate service on walking in, young ones making food and swiftly delivered, and while food was okay the room temperature was really cold, colder than a feminists or narcissists heart. Picture on wall is a warning not a coverall. Ho ho

Neil and the team did a fantastic job in accommodating myself and 18 others (football team) in what was a very good experience at Nando's Aberdeen Belmont. The team at Nando's did very well with the payment and order process, making it very easy for each of the 19 party members to complete their orders swiftly. The food was out within 5-10 minutes of ordering, with all the party members getting their food very quickly, to our surprise considering the size of the group. The quality of the food was still very good considering how quick it came out. Well done to Neil and the team, on future visits we will be back.

Visité anoche y no volveré! El restaurante estaba muy frío y una camarera nos informó que siempre hace frío ya que la calefacción no funciona. Esperamos años nuestra comida y cuando finalmente llegó, los platos principales y los lados estaban fríos, solo las patatas estaban calientes. El camarero aceptó de inmediato que este era el caso y acordó que la comida había estado sentada tanto tiempo que se había enfriado, que no parecía preocuparse en absoluto y se comportó como si fuera algo normal. Nos ofrecieron un reembolso o cupones para volver en otro momento, es seguro decir que tomamos un reembolso ya que no volvería otra vez. Lo único bueno de este restaurante es que el personal es amable y servicial.

Fuimos a comer un miércoles con 3 personas. El restaurante no estaba ocupado, así que conseguí una mesa de inmediato. Pedimos comida y tardó 35 minutos en llegar a pesar de que el restaurante estaba muerto. ¡Parecía que la cocina estaba centrando su atención en los pedidos de Deliveroo! La comida vino después de haber estado mintiendo claramente por un tiempo. Una de las comidas estaba mal y el resto de ellas estaba fría y extremadamente seca. La peor parte para mí fue el desorden del restaurante, ninguna de las mesas se limpió en todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí. Se dejaron seis mesas con platos, vasos y servilletas después de que los clientes se fueron. Tengo varias fotos del restaurante, pero solo me permite adjuntar una de ellas. No volveré a este restaurante.

El gerente, Toni, ha sido siempre grosero conmigo y con mis amigos durante meses. Incluyendo mirarnos durante toda nuestra comida, tratar intencionalmente de hacer que nos vayamos diciéndonos que la comida tomaría más de 45 minutos, sirviendo a varios clientes antes de partir cuando llegué a la caja y evitando saludarnos en la puerta - en lugar de esperar a que otro de sus colegas lo haga. El resto de la gerencia y el personal no nos han causado ningún problema, han sido realmente amables y atentos.Cliente insatisfecho.

This Nando’s is not very good. The service is bad and food is cold. Came in with 5 friends who all ordered at the same time but the food came at least 10 minutes apart from each other. Won’t be back and do not recommend.

Mi pareja y yo hoy podemos ir a Nando solo para que yo no reciba mi pedido 30 minutos después de ordenar y 20 minutos admitieron que mi pareja recibió su comida. Solo después de hablar con un camarero condescendiente conseguí mi plato, que no sabía que había un segundo plato.

Never thought I’d be writing a nandos review as you know what you’re getting usually, but every time I’ve visited the Belmont street restaurant there is always a problem. We visited around 5pm on a Thursday it was still relatively quiet when we arrived and there was only a few tables in. However as it started getting busier we noticed there was only one member of staff who I think is either the manager or supervisor, on the restaurant floor and the rest of the staff were in the kitchen area. The member of staff had to do everything himself from sitting customers at a table, taking orders on the tills, serving food and collecting empty plates and glasses. As a result people were queued out the door waiting for a seat and the queue to order was also huge, meanwhile ours as well as many other tables were left with empty plates and glasses. I do sympathise with the member of staff however more staff is definitely required to make it a more pleasant experience for customers during busy periods such as Thursdays when there is late night shopping etc in town. Will visit union square from now on

Loved the spices of the various entrees. Whether they intend to or not, it is some of the same flavors you could expect to find in Cape Town. Reasonably priced. Located in a mall.

Went to Nando’s today with three friends. Shocking how long the food takes. I ordered first but was the last by far to receive it. One friends food arrived, he ate it before anyone else’s appeared. Then he decided to order more food which also arrived before mine. Table of 4 came in after we ordered and was still eating before us. When spoke to a member of staff, got told it was because backlog of checks even though mine was on long before everyone else’s. took 45 min to arrive and by that time everyone was finished mains and desserts! Complained when my food got delivered and was told he would speak to manager and get back to me. Was totally ignored. Also from last few times I have been in that restaurant, the food sits under warmers for ages before anyone takes them out. Very poor service. Would definitely go elsewhere.

My daughter's first visit and she was so excited having seen great reviews of nando's on YouTube. First of all, service was horrendously slow, it was if the chef hadn't turned up and the waiting staff were making excuses about "wings taking so long". The place came across as dirty with the sauces congealed in bottles and impossible to get out. The staff seemed to be treating this as their social meeting place, even when food did appear under lights it sat there for quite a time while they continued their chat. Give this particular nando's a miss, I'm sure there is better elsewhere!

The staff here seemed more interested in chatting to each other than actually cleaning the place, it felt dirty and it was impossible to get sauces from the bottles they were so congealed. I blame it on a lack of leadership. We arrived with another two tables and we all had to wait a considerable amount on time, as if the cook/chef hadn't turned up. Our food sat under lamps for ages with staff walking to and fro. It was my 14 year olds first time, she had been excited, but even said it was overrated! Aberdeen, you need to get your act together!

Some good and some bad. The food was hot, fresh, with quick service and tasted great. So great we had an additional 15 chicken wing after our sharing combo! Sadly, the restaurant did appear a little un-kept and disorganised. I wouldn’t say it was dirty (I wouldn’t have stayed if it was), but you can tell attention to detail is missing. All in all I had a great meal and would probably visit again.

The first time ever for us and undoutibly the last.. my mother wanted to try .. 87th birthaday.. we ordered our food together . One starter arrived after 30 mins we watched it being eaten . Then 1 hour followed the rest... the order was wrong taken back.. after a further 30 mins we were reserved with a salade cesar chicken quarter avocado . Croutons 12 pounds. Horrible.. a young man came to apologise... was it his fault?? The boss seemen not in the least bothered. I would definately not recommend...

My son and I ate here for the first time and both enjoyed it I had a salad with melon and feta cheese with added chicken My son had one of the chicken burgers and chips We both enjoyed And service was quick and polite.

I only leave a bad review if I am not given the opportunity to say something at the time, and this was certainly the case with Nando’s today. Table of 9 and we ordered one after the other in groups. One starter arrived 20 minutes before any of the rest, some mains arrived at the same time as the second lot of starters, two orders were grouped together and had one half of the mains come out without the remaining half. We ended up having to speak to the server to find out where the remaining mains were. Some of the orders were wrong, no apology offered when we pointed out we were missing two mains. No cutlery was available where it should be and when the cutlery arrived, it was hotter than the actual food itself. The table behind us found a foreign object in their food and asked for a replacement, but the replacement took so long they left hungry. It was the most shambolic dining experience I’ve had in a very long time. Nobody came to check on us even after we highlighted there was a problem with our order. Will not be back, they seem to prioritise takeaway orders over sit in customers, absolutely shocking.

Las mesas a nuestro alrededor tenían los platos sucios tirados. No está bien. El pollo estaba bien, pero nada especial. La paja final fue cuando visitaba el baño y no había papel higiénico en el cubículo. No volveré!

El sábado por la tarde, visita a este nandos, el restaurante no estaba muy ocupado, pero se vio que estaban inundados de pedidos deliveroo. Pantallas cubiertas de polvo / alimentos y máquina de hielo rotas. Esperamos 25 minutos por 2 comidas pequeñas y pudimos verlos sentados debajo de la placa durante la mayor parte del tiempo. Solo trabajaban 2 camareros y, lamentablemente, nos centramos más en la limpieza de mesas y en la obtención de pedidos para llevar en lugar de atender a clientes reales en el restaurante. Debe ser de la misma calidad y velocidad que el cuadro de unión.

Le he dado a este lugar algunas oportunidades, ya que es conveniente, pero definitivamente no le dará más oportunidades. . . .

Este Nando necesita cambiar de forma inmediata y completa su estilo de gestión.

Tried Nandos in Aberdeen as we had been to the one in Inverness before & enjoyed it. I was bitterly disappointed, sticky table, dirty menus, cold restaurant, food took ages to arrive & when it did it was warm. Not piping hot as you'd expect, but warm. We are it as we were famished, but not happy. Spoke to somebody about the warm food & they couldn't understand why it was just warm (it was sat under the heating lamps for ages, that's why). Got a free bit of cake for our meal being cold, cake was lovely. But we will not be going back, won't waist my money there again.

Unos amigos y yo visitamos Nandos y quedamos consternados por el servicio. La comida fue sacada a diferentes horas, servida en nuestros platos principales antes que nuestros entrantes, algunas personas habían terminado de comer y otras no habían sido servidas, no había salsa de tomate, ya que aparentemente se habían agotado, la botella de salsa que tenían era repugnante alrededor del borde. No volveré a este Nando y no lo recomendaría.

The floor was sticky, definetely not cleaned with so many customers visiting the place, menu options were poor and overpriced, with minimal service. It's ok to go for the experience (at least on this branch) but nothing more

Mi hermana y yo decidimos comer en Nando antes de ir al teatro para ver un espectáculo. Llegamos a las 6 de la tarde. El espectáculo debía comenzar a las 7:30 y está a solo 5 minutos a pie del teatro. Debería haber sido un montón de tiempo.

Nos dirigíamos al restaurante mexicano cercano, pero su licencia no permitía entrar a los niños después de los 20 años. 00 horas. Se estaba haciendo tarde tan levemente a regañadientes que fuimos a Nando. La comida es claramente normal, pero lo único que comentamos fue el piso, parecía que no se había lavado durante semanas.

Our kids were appalled that we still hadn’t visited their food nirvana; Nandos. So we were ordered to take them out for lunch there I am not a great fan of ordering & paying up front but when in Rome…. Garlic bread, Halloumi sticks were followed by chicken wraps, butterfly & sunset burgers that were basic but fine enough. Kids “Educated” mum & dad on all of the Nando sauces with about 10 various bottles of different sauces covering the table. I even managed to impress my kids – hard to do these days – by trying all of the hot sauces. Including the HOTXXX one. Which whilst hot, was very thin tasting. Just hot with little flavour. Preferred the standard hot sauce which was much warmer in taste as it happens. I liked the Macho peas very much and will be trying to make myself at home. For me, Nandos is fine if you’re teenager but not really my thing.

Average in that the food was somewhat a let down. Ordered a large chips, they were not freshly down tepid and limp. Tight on the portion of chicken in the wrap and the lettuce in my burger was a large green leaf hanging out of the bread. Staff friendly enough though. Not motivated to return.

I ordered a medium chicken wrap with corn on the cob and garlic bread, the humus and pitta bread starter and my husband ordered the sunset burger on the 20th June. We each ordered a Fanta as our drink. The food came 20 minutes late, the drinks had turned warm as they had been shoved on top of the food, the food was actually warm by the time it arrived, the only reason we could tell it was once hot was because of our warm fantas. The pitta bread was soggy, the chicken wrap had clearly been prepared in about 20 seconds flat, with chunks of chilli jam rammed in disproportionate quantities. The corn on the cobs were freezing cold, but luckily I enjoy a cold corn on the cob. My husbands burger bun had become soggy from the delay and they forgot to put our garlic bread in the order. When ordering through Deliveroo, if there is a problem with the food provided by the restaurant you must contact Deliveroo in order to gain any refunds or compensation. After speaking with Deliveroo (Who’s fault this was not as they did not prepare the food) I thought I would phone Nando’s and let them know of this experience. I was greeted on the phone by a non management employee who then passed me on to the manager ‘Bex’. I told Bex of our experience, she did not apologise or ask any further questions, she abruptly said ‘let me know your name and order number and I will look out for it!’. I tried to explain to her that yes I was disappointed but by letting them know hopefully this wouldn’t happen to other customers. She then tried to argue with me and said that it is Deliveroo’s problem. I do not understand as Deliveroo are not the ones preparing and physically packing the orders? What a sad experience, we will never be ordering, nor dining from this restaurant. Perhaps phone etiquette skills and delivery preparation skills should be retrained for the staff here?

Have previously been to the Nando’s in Union Square and wasn’t impressed, however I have been to this one and have eaten in both the restaurant and had a take away and it’s great, can’t fault it.

Just finished the worst Nando’s not just I’ve ever had but also my wife and my sister. Ordered through Deliveroo and after using this service for the first time was excited to have a Nando’s takeaway. Always loved Nando’s and to be fair never had a bad one in Union Square. Where do I start.....

Me and my friends were 5 in total, the food was well described in the menu, and was fast served. The customer service was the best, definitely going there again.

I'm nandos fan but my visit on Wednesday was not an acceptable standard. We ordered sweet potato wedges as a side, which we had to pay extra as appose to a normal side dish and when it came there was 5 wedges, which is ridiculous...

Nothing particularly stand out about this nandos, but isn't that exactly what you want?Everything is exactly as you'd expect from a nandos, *except* it's super quiet and you can get a table without waiting!!

Very disappointed, never been to a Nando's so pleased to come across one tonight near to hotel, received nice welcome shown to table & had menu explained, waitress never returned & didn't even get offered to order a drink which is very poor after a hot day! very quiet in there only 3 tables with customers, travel on own working, waited 20 minutes & no staff about to distract for attention so left & ate opposite at Pizza express, Still never eaten at a Nando's!

This was one of the quietest Nandos I have ever been in. Maybe it's because I'm used to the big city branches- hustling and crowded, with massive queues. This was much more pleasant! We were seated instantly as there was no queue and the place was quite quiet- you could have a conversation easily. One thing I would say is that as the place was so quiet, it was a bit awkward being lodged in between two tables with other diners- I could easily hear their conversations, and I'm sure they could hear mine. There were tonnes of other tables, all over the restaurant, but it seemed we were to be packed in close to others. I understand that it is easier to cover the tables as they are all together, but given the fact that the majority is self service, maybe people could be spread out a little more when its quiet? Just a suggestion. Food was tasty and portions were great- everything was as expected with Nando's. Saiuce bar was well stocked and layout of the restaurant was easy to navigate. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we were served our food quickly. We both ordered cajun fries, but my partner's were just normal, so that was a shame, but overall everything was fine.I would come back here again if I was in Aberdeen and looking for a quick bite to eat!

Being an experience Nando's fan, I feel experienced enough to claim that this is the worst Nando's I have ever been to. I could forgive the manager his horrible pink polo shirt if he was not so rude and confrontational. Furthermore, Belmont Street had somehow managed to run out of 1/2 chickens. The shortage of supply was so bad that the water machine was barely functioning and failed to dispense ice. Overall, a largely disappointing experience made worse by an insulant and incompetent manager.

I love Nando's and go regularly but never left a review. Normally go to union square but as it was a nice day today we went to the Belmont street branch so we could sit outside. You can't beat Nando's, always hits the spot!! I didn't know they had an outdoor spot until today, will definitely go back (if the sun stays out long enough).

Maybe this is what Nando's is, but I would not bother returning. Food was just fine, nothing wrong with it at all, and staff were friendly but I need more from a restaurant than just one track food. Sorry not for me.

Second time dining at this particular nando's and once again was not disappointed. Excellent service as expected and an extra cheeky meal, would recommend!
