Nando's in Swindon

Nando’s is pretty reliable and consistent, but the quality here is really declining. Dry corn on the cob, brown coleslaw… Service is also amateurish. From where we were sitting we could see food coming out, and our dishes were sitting out for a full 10 minutes and being ignored by waitresses who just wandered past in a daze. Eventually I had to go and point out that the food was ready, and even then - the waitresses seemed to just be on another planet and STILL didn’t bring the food. Eventually the supervisor delivered them. She offered to have the food recooked, but by that time we were hungry. Disappointing drop in standards.

This is the WORST nandos in Swindon. Only go here if desperate times call for DESPERATE MEASURES! Ordered from them and they refused to compensate me even though they gave me tasteless and burnt chicken. I have had at-least 3 experiences with them and all have been bad! I have gone in person and the chicken was wet and uncooked. My last order was dry and my final order was BURNT! If you don’t think it couldn’t get worse- don’t give these people such a challenge-they will amaze you and show you how low they can really get! I know you’re thinking I must be a fool but sometimes i order through deliveroo and dread it be from THIS PLACE. This place gives me NIGHTMARES! I have learnt my lesson and will be making personal calls to regent circus and else where. DON’T BE FOOLISH LIKE ME! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PROTECT YOUR HEALTH! To add insult to injury not only was the chicken burnt they also gave us about 10 pieces of chips per pot. IF IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD PLEASE AVOID THIS PREMISE!

Busy evening (GCSE results day so no surprise) with not enough staff, had to chase up drinks (30 mins after ordering) and then chase up food. Young children running through the restaurant with their drinks from the self-serve machines sloshing onto the floor - no action from staff, they just watched. Could do with some weedkiller around the tables outside, looks messy! Won’t rush back - plenty of other eating places nearby which are much better organised. Disappointing.

Honestly a great experience. Went here for our 17th anniversary meal. The staff were attentive and one lady in particular when they didn’t have the beer requested gave us a large wine instead of medium to compensate. Fantastic staff throughout the restaurant although rushed off their feet were attentive and gave great service. The food was fab, we had not been to a Nando’s before and everything was explained and so easy to order! We will definitely be back as we didn’t realise it was so good! Staff need a pay rise!!

First visit to Nandos and I was very impressed. Restaurant was clean and tidy, was greeted and seated immediately. Food was delicious and arrived quickly. Kids had a great time. Special thanks to Chanel who I think went above and beyond. Taking care of the kids with colouring sheets, letting us know about the menu and generally taking care of us. Probably one of the better resaurant experiences I've had. Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back.

We arrived after an awful journey from Plymouth. We were told we couldn’t eat straight away but was told to return 30minutes later and we could be seated. Unfortunately we could not be seated straight away when we returned. The children of the group were tired and hungry and we were all feeling frustrated. Kylie, who I believe was the manageress came to see us, tended to the children, got them sat and eating within 10 minutes. The whole staff were obviously busy and under pressure but everyone that we saw couldn’t have been more helpful. I am so grateful to the team for turning a half term nightmare into a half term dream.

Wait time was estimated 30minutes. 1/2 Chicken HOT. Table 27. We moved from being outside to inside and the chef with his hat back and on the front grillz, made some the best chicken we’ve had in a while and even delivered to our table to apologise for the wait time!

5 adults and 3 children were our party and personally I was impressed. Me and the wife had a Nando’s years ago and was not impressed at all so we ain’t been since but for my sons birthday we went and the food was excellent and the service was spot on. Only negative is that you are all squeezed in a bit and close to other diners but the food is good.

We arrived and ordered our food. The restaurant was quiet and there were a lot of staff around. Our food took a long time to arrive and two of the meals were left sat on the side waiting to be delivered to the table for around 15 minutes. When we got the food, it was cold and not great. We still hadn’t got our drinks or the starter that we ordered so we asked a member of staff. He got us our starter which we sent back because we already had our mains. He then got us two out of the four drinks we ordered with no glasses and we’d almost finished our meals by the time the rest of the drinks arrived! We asked to speak to the manager who said that she would offer us a free dessert and that was all she could do. We declined and asked for a refund for the starter instead. It seemed to be that deliveries and take away was prioritised and the food being served in the restaurant itself wasn’t the staff’s main priority. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

So disappointing. Very long delay with food arriving with no explanation. Had to ask and it still took another 10 minutes to arrive. When is arrived they left the order short of chicken!!! Basic part of the order and they still got it wrong! Not good service. Just won’t bother going back as they are obviously short staff and simply couldn’t cope - and that was a Wednesday evening.

Absolutely disgusting food 🤢🤮the chicken in my wrap was cold! When speaking to the manager her reply is that they have been busy

Butterfly chicken was raw, and the other was pink. gave us food poisoning. will not be returning, don’t recommend

Having experienced many Nandos throughout the country as always the "piri" was to my liking bit the service at Swindon Orbital was exceptional. The waiter Mikey was a delight, confidebt, knowledge, and so very polite. Well done Nandos.

Had a deliveroo order, usually really good. Today very let down with a moldy sweet corn! What were they thinking? You don’t cook food that has gone off and send it out! Very disappointed!!!!

The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the staff were friendly... Other than that: No coffee available as the machine wasn't working. Unacceptable. The food was dire! Ordered the peri peri chicken and the 'half' of chicken looked more like a quarter portion as it was so small. Very, very dry and almost inedible. It's as though they'd been keeping it warm for HOURS. Chips were dry, peas tasteless and the so-called 'creamy mash' was a tasteless, watery pile of mush. Nothing was right - and this is the worst Nando's we've ever visited.... AVOID,

After being a nandos fan for so long today's take away was the final time I will eat from this restaurant. Wings were undercooked and bland hardly any sauce. They have changed the slaw and its awful. The wrap ordered was average at best!

The most ridiculous booking system, sarcastic and unhelpful staff who had no idea what tables they had and seated those who had just arrived ahead of those who had waited for over an hour. They claimed a portion of the restaurant was closed due to lack of staff (staff your business correctly then) despite there clearly being other diners up there and 3 people holding clipboards and adding by zero value at the door. It’d have been quicker to sit in an egg outside the door, raise it when it hatched, slaughter it and put some Peri-peri sauce on it from Asda across the road. Mark and avoid.

Having received a text to say our table was ready we were shown to a table that had clearly not been wiped down from the previous customer. There were lots of crumbs all over the table. A clear lack of basic cleaning let alone sanitising, a necessary in these covid 19 times. Walked out disgusted. Very poor in comparison to other restaurants we have been to.

We’ve been to this Nando’s a few times and the food is always great with exception of one experience. The manager who I believe is called Emily is extremely professional and friendly. She made our not so great experience well worth coming back and was very attentive. Will definitely be coming back.

This was our fourth and last visit to this Nando’s, entrance full of people sat and standing waiting for tables and a very long line of people stood waiting to place thier orders, can understand this if the place was busy, but loads of tables uncleared and no staff clearing them! Only wanted a take out, no staff came over to us so just went to stand in line to order and after waiting 15 minutes we were told it was a 30 minute wait for food!! So left!! Previously here the food has been cold! Very long waiting times for food! Orders forgotten after very long wait and whole place not kept very clean! So this was our last visit here!! We gave it more than one chance and shame as close to where we live

Came here to eat with my son over the weekend and it wasn't great. Second time visiting as the first time was bad so have avoided it until now. Would not go back. Service wasn't great and the chicken quality was awful.

Such a shame that the new Nando’s at Orbital just can’t seem to get it right!! Third visit in last two months and prob will be last as each time we have had to stand in a long line to order our food to then wait a further long time for it to arrive at the table for it then to be Luke warm or cold!!! First bad visit we were totally forgotten!! Then after over 30 minutes waiting for our food we were told they lost out order!! Yesterday after a very long wait and watching lots of food orders just sitting in the pass with lots of staff walking to it, looking at it and leaving it there!! Our food arrived nice hot chips by cold chicken!! Again!! Then a further wait for it to be replaced!! Such a shame as we live it there but not prepared to keep going and to keep getting cold food, lost orders and long long waiting times!!!

Had a great time at Nando's. If you like chicken then this is a great place to try.I have had Nando's meals regularly, this is very convenient to do the weekly grocery and other shopping items at the Orbital centre and have a great meal (all in one place with conveniently free parking).The ambiance is great and lively. Food was served quickly and very tasty too. All in all a very eating place. Can't fault the service as well.

Walked in chloe in red top and very small bun , approached us to get us seated However, chloe said there was no tables so she said “bare with me 5 minutes I’m going to clear the table”10 minutes later , chloe was a no show This is bad customer service from chloe

Visited here for lunch today. Restaurant was not busy on arrival and seated quickly.Order taken without a hitch. We were at a table where we could view the pass over from the kitchen to the servers and food was taking a long time to be collected and delivered. Th one guy greating and seating, was also doing table clearing and then food serving. Hot food was not his priority. Other staff walked past the hot food and ignored it! I timed some food and it was on the passover for more than 5 minutes.Consequently food was not as hot as it could have been. Coca Cola was also weak and not at it's best. Did not get the normally check up on the foodfrom the staff.It got busier after 30 minutes of us arriving so it was pot luck on hot food I guess.Don't think we will bother with this Nandos again - we only now and again and we have had better experiences elsewhere.

I take my son to Nandos every now and again because he likes it. We have been to a few in the UK. The food is of a consistent standard but the experience is too often spoiled by slack service. All the computerised till and ordering systems can’t compensate for distracted and disinterested staff entering the wrong details or leaving food to go cold on the counter before it is served. Chicken keeps warm for ten minutes, no problem - not so chips. Basics need to be right, such as putting menus on tables before seating people. How else are they going to order? Tonight I watched our order sit for ten minutes before it was brought over to us. During that time, a chef/cook had a bit of a squabble with one of the staff and appeared to throw some takeaway items at her over the top of our food, knocking some of it onto the floor, where it remained all night. It’s really hard to see how this business can sustain itself whilst it consistently allows poor service to compromise an otherwise perfectly good food offering.

Visited this establishment to celebrate a family members birthday, we went on a Saturday and asked if we could book a table as there would be 8 of us, not allowed to book on Saturdays so you have to take a chance on being accommodated. Also wanted to set up a tab to be told, oh, you can’t do that.No table ordering you had to queue up to place your order and the staff did not seem to know what was what.At the extortionate prices they charge I would of thought the reservations, tabs and table service would of been available.

First time at Orbital Nando’s. Second time ever at a Nando’s. Good for millennials for some reason. It’s chicken on different levels of spiceness. My wife asked for cheesy chips and got chips with a slice of rubbery cheese laid on top. It’s not a restaurant, it’s a fast food place. No table service, no class, no cutlery. Millennials are idiots.

We’ve ordered a few take aways now from the orbital Nando’s. The online website is fairly easy to find everything you need all is simple when ordering.

I have been to many nandos in my time but this one is by far the best! Fast service, chicken is done to perfection, and looks amazing. The staff are also excellent, shout out to Darren and the team for always going that bit extra!

Been here all week, Darren and the team providing unbelievable food and a superior level of service. Best in the country 👊👊👊👊

First visit to nando's not told where the sauces were or knifes and forks. My chicken burger came out rather pink. When I reported it I was told its not under cooked at all. Really!! Pink and stringy bearing in mind I did tell the manager I only eat chicken and I don't eat red meat but I was very wrong apparently. They did take it away and re cook with out a, question though my food came out after the family had nearly eaten there's. Would I go back not so sure!

I have visited so many Nandos restaurants, in fact I am the most loyal customer but this particular restaurant was very badly managed. Noone seems to be in charge...only one lady in the kitchen seems to work hard and guy who was hosting really tried but the rest of the team must have been hiding. All tables dirty.. probably more staff on then guests...food was ok . definitely forgotten something in my wrap as it was really empty. Beautiful restaurant just need manager to lead. Everyone was polite but not interested.

A relatively new branch of Nando’s, nice & clean inside with quite a lot of seating, spread across a few different split level areas. Although they didn’t have my usual supergreen burger when we visited (something to do with their order not arriving in time...?) the staff were happy to make me a ‘custom’ vegan-friendly pitta with avocado, portabello mushroom, sundried tomato & salad leaves. Other than the issue with food availability, there was the usual quick service, tasty food & reasonable prices you’d expect from Nando’s.

This has always been the spot to go when your hungry or if you just need something small to hold you over. Regardless of what your order you can guarantee that it will be flavorful and you can always customize it from savory to mild to burning volcano.

Always been a fan of Nandos for a relaxed bite to eat. Decided to try the new one in the orbital and it did not disappoint. Not that big but great new building and staff very friendly and helpful.

My dad and I went to this Nando’s as it is new in the area. Ordered food and drink, no problem. We were waiting a while for our starters. I could see our order waiting on the side, it was then walked around the restaurant and placed in someone else’s table, they were very confused as it wasn’t their order. It was then taken for another walk around before the manager intervened to find out what was going on. He quickly asked what it was we were waiting for and assured us a fresh order would be cooked. When the fresh food was given we were informed that our mains were also ready. The manager informed us that sides would be replaced for fresh and all checked to be up to temperature. The food arrived, mostly warm and the chicken was pretty charcoaled as it had obviously been chucked back on to the grill to warm back up. The food was sub par compared to other Nando’s that I have had, however the manager on duty was ever so attentive, polite and apologetic. He handled the situation very well, which is often the downfall for many places.

I have never been to any Nando's before, not sure why but as this branch has opened up within a 15 minute walk of my house, my family and I decided to give it go. In short we loved it, the Peri Peri wasn't as hot as we feared, the food was full of flavour and different from other restaurant chains. The staff were friendly and we now have a far better understanding of "process" of having a cheeky Nando's, only issue is when do we return next.

Everyone loves a cheeky Nando’s. The food you cannot fault but.....

The restaurant is actually a pleasant surprise as the setting ( bang outside a massive ASDA ) isn't the best.
