Nandos in North East Derbyshire

Chicken always aneamic and tasteless. Nothing like other Nandos. The cake is good though... but thats not made in store. Avoid.

once inside the restaurant is nice the service good and the food arrived fresh it's a good Nandos, the staff were working hard to do a good job the food arrived perfectly cooked only complaint was where we were seated near the doors brrrr especially after being outside in the rain

First time to Nando's in years. What a mistake to return. We were made to stand in the rain outside to check in on our phones and join the virtual queue, even though there were two tables eating inside and no one else entering the restaurant.We were seated and explained to order everything on the phone and if we needed help to ask.We ordered the halloumi for starters then the boneless sharing platter for two with 4 regular sides. The starter arrived with no issues and was pretty tasty, then the mains arrived. We asked the delivery waitress (which later I gathered was actually one of the chefs, so no idea where the floor staff were) for more water, then some sauces, we then had to ask her for the plain chips to be salted with the peri peri salt (as paid for). A bowl of peri peri salt was provided for us to finish the chef's job. The chips tasted like they had been sent out on somebody's plate at midday (this was around 3pm) taken back and sat under the hot lights until our order came in.Eating away at our main, we then noticed our 4th side wasn't there. As all the staff were behind the bar/kitchen area and had had no intentions of leaving that area, I had to walk over and wait to be noticed (as all waiting staff had their backs to the restaurant). I was told it was on it's way and as promised, within minutes the forgotten, barely grilled garlic bread arrived.We finished up our food and left, without another interaction from a staff member, in a very empty restaurant. No goodbyes or thanks. Very poor service.I've heard people say, "The best thing about Nando's is the sauce."I'll now say, "The only good thing about Nando's is the sauce.And now you can get it in the shops, you don't have to go."And I won't be. Ever!

The staff here walk around in circles talking. They always have the girls chat at front and walk in circles ignoring customers. Asked for an extra sauce and they make you order a 55p sauce on the app on its own. Then don’t go and get it for you it goes into the order pile and they never brought it!!! Finished food and it never arrived. If they can stand over you and watch you order a single sauce on app covid or not. Then they can go and get it straight away. Also what do old people do who don’t have the app??? Terrible just terrible

Went for a dinner time meal and the food was lovely. Fast service and really hot food with great portions.

Chesterfield's Nando's has deteriorated from being good to little more than average and relatively expensive. Menu items frequently not available. Slow service and poor staff.

After a long drive from Bedfordshire to Sheffield we decided to stop at Nando’s. They have enough parking as it’s in a retail park. The staff were friendly and especially Izzy who was at the counter.We ordered the Hummus for starters and then the meal platter for mains.Was really good and would recommend it.

We visited Nandos in Chesterfield to spend a Restaurant Choice gift card we had been given for our anniversary... value £25However, after our visit we discovered that we had been charged twice for our food (after the gift card had supposedly been swiped).I contacted Nandos and was offered another gift card... BUT it hadto be one of their cards.. and as we wasn't too keen on our experience, asked if we could have another Restaurant choice one. After a very lengthy to and fro, they finally posted us one. HORRAY!!!!HOWEVER, yesterday, we decided to use it at Zizzi in Sheffield. CARD DECLINED. So, THANKS FOR NOTHING Nandos.

After a long journey covering most of Yorkshire & Derbyshire our family of five were ready to leave Chesterfield & head back to Birmingham finally at 9:30pm. Only my daughter (4yrs) needed the toilet. Pulled up to Nando’s on derby Road in Chesterfield. Upon entering we wear met by a very pleasant Sophie. I did explain we were not here to dine but my daughter & sister needed the toilet. Sophie was so helpful & child friendly she kindly pointed out the direction to the toilets. As i waited Sophie conversed with me with the upmost of professionalism. Kind words for myself & my daughter helped us relax. Such mannerism & etiquette must not go unnoticed. Sophie is an asset to any company she would work for. This is the kind of service others should aspire to give when a customer walked through their doors especially as we were not here to dine. Very very helpful. One cannot thank you enough. On behalf of my family we wish you all the best in your life & career where ever it may take you. Thank you again Sophie for the kindness in which you embraced us. We shall never forget it.

Visited Nandos on a Saturday evening at 6.30pm with our 2 grandchildren. Placed orders and waited and waited and waited!! Restaurant not particularly busy and other customers arriving after us were served. After at least 30 minutes we queried why our food had not arrived - we were told that they were almost ready and the sides were just being added, This took another 10 minutes before 3 of the 4 meals appeared - we then had to chase up the fourth meal. Against our better judgement we then ordered deserts. However, this also posed a problem as they had run out of some of our choices! We were told that the order would be brought to our table but the person who ordered the bottomless yoghurt could help themselves. This they did a couple of times whilst the rest of us again waited - the bottomless yoghurt machine then stopped working as it had run out - not so bottomless after all!! During the period of 2 HOURS in the restaurant the children needed to use the toilets but again encountered problems.. Both the gents and ladies were out of order with only the disabled available. We had to ask staff whether this was available to use and then had to wait for a key to unlock it. A member of staff did apologise when we complained about the poor service etc - apparently there is an ongoing problem with the toilets as we were told the building used to be occupied by Blockbusters and the toilets were not designed for such large numbers!We were offered the chance to talk to the manager which we did and again received an apology. In the circumstances I would have expected some sort of goodwill gesture but nothing definitive was forthcoming.We visit Chesterfield occasionally but are unlikely to take the children here again.

walked in to an empty Nandos and seated by the friendly waitress. The booth seats we were given were absolutely filthy and sticky. Looked up and the low lighting light shades covered in dust. Left straight away. Walking out all the seating was the same. If they can't look after outside dining area imagine what is going on with your Chicken that needs 100% attention and cooking. Don't waste your money here.

We visit this restaurant twice a year while visiting family. Food was the usual, tasty and hot. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful though one did treat me like a complete idiot because I’d dared to ask for a cappuccino to be hot instead of lukewarm.

Very good food, and prompt service. The new Spinach side order was particularly nice. Early is good , as this restaurant can get very busy.

Such a lovely Nandos chain. About a year ago they were still trying to find their feet and get going. Now it is abdolutely fantastic. The front of house staff are great, especially Alexia. Her care and attention to every customer is second to none. Thank you Alexia for making our visit so special, Nandos Chesterfield would not be the same without you. And thanks to the guys in the kitchen for making our food tasty! See you again soon Nandos Chesterfield.

We had 2 sunset burgers with peri fries, and a chicken breast wrap and spicy rice. All well-presented and very delicious, just not that spectacular and pricey for what it is. Would go back.

Went here last night and they were really busy because we had timed it wrong with a film finishing at the cinema next door.

We came in on a recommended visit from Sheffield. We have never been before.

I always feel reassured when ordering with my allergy when the server goes and tells the kitchen staff - they clean down the grill and cook my food separately. Seems like they are clued up where allergies are concerned, which really puts me at ease.

Went in for some food after going to the cinema, it was great food ( I had a butterfly chicken burger and chips ) but it was much more expensive than I had expected. Otherwise, great food, lots of variety in the menu, great atmospheee and I will definitely be coming again.

Went to Nando’s for the first time food was ok my husband and daughter shared a wing roulette but didn’t find any hot ones I had a coconut vegetarian curry thing can’t say I’d rush to go back sorry Nando’s not impressed at all service was good though

Me and my Girlfriend went to Nando's in Chesterfield and we were met by a lovely young girl by the name of Alex. She gave us a brilliant table and she couldn't do enough for us. Please make sure she gets recognition of her hard work and excellent customer service skills. The food was amazing as per usual.

Just visited before the cinema with my daughter so impressed, the welcoming at the door by our attendant Alex was so custom focused and her care continued throughout our meal, an amazing young lady, so switched on caring and ensuring we had a great experience there. The food to was quick, hot, delicious and flavoursome. All in all a lovely start to an evening of father daughter time. Thank you Alex.

Ordered a full platter to be told they had run out of whole chicken and it would take 45 min or so to cook more, it was only 8pm and not that busy, so ordered boneless chicken instead was ok my taste buds must be failing as I had hot seasoning and it wasn't that hot or tasty. Was given free frozen yoghurt so wasn't too bad in the end, not as good as it was some years ago.

Like this place But would like to buy some of nandos red wine, Mybe customer service can help with this

Waiting a very long time to be served and for our food. The food was undercooked when it arrived. Restaurant was very dirty.

Had just short of an hour a wait for very average luke warm food won't be back on a positive note the staff were polite.sat for so long was cold from the air con .

Good quality food and quick service in this restaurant. You know what to expect and the menu does not change but offers good variety. Great for a family group

We love coming here. How they deal with food allergies is second to none! Our daughter has a serious peanut allergy. The manager comes out to take our order and cooks her meal separately to ensure there’s no cross contamination.

Took partner & boy for a treat as he likes the place, my first visit too. We I can not understand what people see in this place. Staff where fine polite and efficient so no complaints there. I ordered a chicken salad and so did my good lady. What a stingy over priced rip off basically a few green leaves hiding a cherry tomato a bit of grains along with the smallest piece of chicken I have ever seen more of a chicken nugget on leaves.

We have loved the food at Nandos since they first opened. The food is excellent, service is great and most of all its an enjoyable eating experience. We sometimes call for a takeaway and still get the same level of service, so thank you all.

rang 6 times and each time no one answer and said call failed - not hard to pick up a phone losing out on so much business

So we came last night.. seated straight away, food excellent but the tables are very close together, we was on table 29 & when the girl cleaning the table next to us was spraying the table, the splash from the squirt bottle was going all over us.. You might just want to be mindful as the next person might not be as chilled as we was.

Great food, reception lacking, all in all all good, never yet had a bad meal at any nando`s allways best chicken where ever

Can’t complain but nothing overly special ...

All seem very rushed this evening, was asked if we were alright on entering rather than if we would like a table.. paid three seperate orders as three sets of couples, asked for a receipt and was never brought over after saying they would bring it over. One lady trying to serve three people at once. May be they need an extra staff member on!

This was nothing to shout about.

Asked for chicken to be well cooked, looked liked never seen a grill, needless to say was sent back.

Having visited before and enjoying it I went again and again I was left disappointed. Although there is a lack of choice the food is quite nice. The problem again was the chefs putting out the cooked food onto a shelf were it is left for minutes before reaching the tables. When I got my meal and the waitress came back to ask if I enjoyed it I said "the chicken was nice but the chips were cold" her reply was "well at least the chicken was warm".

A warm welcome, and polite, efficient service. Food was hot, tasty, and presented to a high standard.

We visited Nandos for lunch on Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was half full, so there was no wait for a table. The service was friendly and efficient. One of the male waiters was very patient when I couldn't remember our table number or the sides we wanted. The food was hot and delicious. I love that there are so many different sauces to choose from and the bottomless fizzy drinks are such a good idea. There are lots of options on the menu although it is expensive for what you get. The childrens menu had some very good choices and the children's activities pack kept our 7 year old entertained. For some reason the ladies toilets were extremely cold. I'm not sure if the aircon was stuck on freezing mode?!

We have been frequenting Nandos since they began in London in 1992. The food is good and simple with that useful ability of being spiced up for those who enjoy it and left tasty and 'cooler' for those who don't and the children! We go there often for lunch and there are never any complaints.

The food isn't too bad, it's just not good value.........good selection, you can find something you like ........just poor value........staff really friendly......our waitress was fabulous......she certainly deserved to work somewhere better.

Took 15 minutes to clear table with several staff passing our table doing nothing. Kids wanting a pudding. Just about to leave when suddenly a miracle happened! Food OK. Although my kids enjoyed it. I won't be back. Sorry

Nothing wrong with this nandos. Good size restaurant, food nice, good service. The only problem is the meal you get is small compared to the price. If I pay £10 for a meal I expect to be full. You need to spent quite a bit of money for a good meal. Popular place for young adults.

Love this Nando's, the staff are polite, friendly, and attentive, always seem to get a table straight away, or if you do have to wait, it is a very minimal wait.

We were given a warm welcome and very friendly, speedy and efficient service. Had chicken burgers, in bun or pitta, kid's burger and a halloumi/ portabella, followed by natas (Portuguese custards) yummy - reminded of us a holiday in Lisbon! Excellent cappuccinos and the 2m beer, served ice cold, was excellent. Definitely will visit again.

Have used this Nando's Restaurant many times now and it does exactly what I've come to expect from the Chain. Good food at a reasonable price. Always had good friendly service and we are in and out quickly as we are usually on the way to the Cinema. I like the app for the loyalty scheme too!

Good value food, plenty of parking plenty of tables and fast service. Situated on a leisure park if this is busy there are plenty of other eateries nearby, but this was more than adequate.

Meeting up with some friends for tea without the kids for a change. I had grilled chicken pitta with chips and coke for just under £11.The restaurant was busy, but the staff were turning tables quickly and we didn't have a long wait.The food was okay, but meeting up somewhere different next time.

As Nandos go, it's one of the best. Warm, friendly and welcoming, the staff truly make this restaurant. We have never been let down and the staff have gone above and beyond to make our experience a good one. As usual, food is delicious and what you'd expect from the chicken experts. Worth a visit.

Nandos never lets me down and I have been all the country in different Nandos restaurants. The one in chesterfield showed very good service. we were able to book a table and staff were very helpful. Parking is tough in this location due to the lack of spaces for the amount of restaurants in the area. your probably better parking further out and walking in. Meal was brilliant as always. I recommend the half chicken and a Portuguese beer with nandos nuts as a starter. garlic bread and nandos chips as sides.

First time at Nando's, the place is dingy, staff don't seem bothered, just spent £52 on two of us and still hungry, food ok but to expensive for amount

I love a Nando's but this restaurant made us wait almost 30minutesThen my order was wrong and no chicken in half the wrap was very disappointed Probably wouldnt go back here as the restaurant was empty but still bad service

When I went, it was my birthday and was great to have something nice to eat. Everyone enjoyed it even my 2year old brother who had the kids menu. Drinks were served quickly ( even though you can get them yourselves) and the meals were very quick out!

Visit once a month id say. Great service...great food and plenty of choice. Love this restaurant. Plenty of seating. Great location for the cinema too. X

Visited midweek with our grandson who is three! The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly. The food was OK but took over thirty minutes to arrive after we had ordered at the till and only then after I complained to the staff about our wait. Try telling my grandson why he had to wait so long for his food when he is hungry! I'm afraid we won't be back!

Enjoyed the food especially the peri salted fries and nacho peas... for me the rice could be improved. Not everything is spicy you can tailor the meals there is a graph on the menu from mild to hot, the frozen yogurt is amazing and is refillable, will visit again xXx

Went here for my son's birthday. Everything was doused with peri peri. I have to say not everyone wants peri peri powder even on the fries. My mouth was on FIRE.

I dont really like the service usually in Nandos but this time was different ! Girls were rocking this place ! Beautiful staff , smiley faces , so polite and excellent service ! It was my first time in Nando's as I'm not one for spicy food. However, they catered to me and fellow people who don't like spicy food quite well. I had a tasty chicken burger and chips.My only complaints are it was very noisy and service was a bit slow especially when paying.

First time ordering take out from nandos and we wish we went somewhere else to spend our money!Had the new sunset burger and it was awful, extremely chargrilled and tasted burnt. Very little sauce on and burger and no real taste to it. The mash was also awful, very bland. The only thing okay was the chips. The service was good though, the lady was very friendly.

Had a great meal - fab service thoroughly enjoyed it! The chicken was superb and the halloumi yum yum. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Upon arrival,had to wait to be shown to a table, which took some time. I don't know if it was because they were short staffed. I couldn't help but notice that the floors around the tables, looked as though there had been a food fight. I ordered a steak baguette, chips, and coleslaw. The chips were heavily sprinkled with a powder, which I didn't like. The coleslaw was poor and unimaginative as regards the flavour. The steak strips when I opened the baguette were stuck together, and resembled cat food, although it tasted ok. I had a coke to go with my meal. I didn't enjoy having to go up to the bar area to order food, because, having walked back to my seat at the other end of the restaurant, I had to get up again, to go and get my coke. The two people I was with, had ordered their food, and the staff had got everything wrapped round their necks, and things arrived that hadn't been ordered, that they'd been charged for. To be fair to the manager, it was quickly sorted out. For my food it cost £16.00, which I thought was a lot of money for a quick lunch time bit of food. On the upside, I liked the decor. Would I think "Nandos" when I fancy a bite to eat again...sadly not.

Went for lunch yesterday. Ordered the combo to share. Took 6 attempts to find clean cutlery. Anyway sat down and food came straightaway. Now I know nobody likes waiting but this must have been pre cooked and was stored somewhere. It wasn't very hot. Staff were pleasant but wouldn't go back to this branch. Better Nandos elsewhere

Took our daughter here for her 17th birthday. It was my first visit to Nandos, I was quite impressed, the staff were friendly and the food was served in no time at all. Everyone enjoyed their food. My only complaint was that the room was very cold due to the air conditioning.

Food is good service was ok but compared to other sites chesterfield seemed to be lacking in atmosphere where Nottingham and Stevenage have it

Always been a big fan of Nandos and I am always eating here. Today I choose the chicken wrap with chips and garlic bread with a side salad. It was gorgeous. Normally the service is very quick, however on this day the service was a bit slow and the food did take a bit longer to come out. However, the food was lovely.

I find this nandos cooks the chicken better than others as I prefer well cooked Very friendly staff after disappointment in the meadowhall one Chesterfield is a level above Good food always served quickly and great staff

Both the service and the food were very good. The chicken was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I would definitely recommend the mango and lime chicken and the spicy rice. Not the place for a special occasion but definitely a good place to go for casual dining and meeting up with friends. Good value too.

I've been here a few times in the past for a quick bite to eat, either for a casual meet up with friends, or a quick dinner before going to the cinema. The service that I've received in the past has been average, not unacceptable, but certainly not the best. There are a lot of younger people working here, and for a lot of them i'm guessing they've not had a great deal of experience with customer service, which is completely understandable, but I think maybe it should be addressed and focused on a bit more.The food is what it is, good value price for what you get. I've never had a disappointing meal here, and would say it's a nice place to eat from time to time. I wouldn't come here for a family meal or any sort of special occasion, but it's perfect for casual dining. Overall, as far as Nando's go, this one is pretty good.

The only criticism was the cutlery wasn't clean and the sauce bottles were sticky. But most importantly the food was very taste and all of us enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and attentive and the meals arrived quite quickly. None of us had been to a Nandos before so we didnt know what to expect.Would definitely give it another go.

you can't go wrong with nandos, I usually go to the one in Chesterfield with my mum and sister and the staff are always pleasant and the food is always brought out quickly and hot, love it!

This restaurant was very clean and well presented. We visited at lunchtime on a Sunday. We were quick to be seated. We went up to place order all handled well. However, we were sitting for a while and no food came our way, looking around the restaurant other people seemed to be sitting and waiting also. There seemed to be only one waitress to the whole restaurant and she had to abandon bringing out orders, which were obviously lined up on the hot plate thingy waiting to come out, to organise seating for a group who came in. So the welcome is good and the staff clearly work hard but there were not enough waiting staff when we were there. The chips with the order were cold when food eventually came. The sweet potato chips were the oddest burnt specimen we have ever been served up. We didn't eat them and did ask for a refund. We had paid by card but got a cash refund.Overall, could have been better.

Conveniently near the cinema, this is a well run restaurant. The staff are friendly and hard working. The food is good and reasonably priced.

Went here before the movies with friends and had a tasty meal. Ok it's not fine dining but the food is fresh and l love the hot nandos sauce. The youngsters who were working there earn their money and we will return.

This has to be one of my favourite places the staff are excellent and always help, the food is second to none it's always enjoyable. Really good value for money. I've even now dared the medium sauce my taste buds are expanding and there is so much choice to pick from. The service is fast also.

Nandos is a franchised restaurant so prices are always going to be what they are but generally I like Nandos anyway, you can't go wrong with chicken, chips and macho peas, unlimited drinks and sauce for £10. The one thing I have to say about the Chesterfield restaurant is that I have never had a bad meal, the service has always been good and it's quick, which is exactly what I want before nipping to the cinema. Visited lots of times and will continue to visit.

My husband and I came here for a meal after leaving work late and not wanting to cook. We arrived and unfortunate placed our order just after a table of 15 did too but we were pleasantly surprised how quick our meals arrived. The team there were really friendly and as always, the food was delish! Recommend.

Just been to this nandos and it's the best a had was shown to our table by I think was the manager her name was Kira and what a pleasant lovely girl really a credit to nandos we had a great seat and the food was wicked will definitely be re visiting 10/10

What you would expect from Nando's. Well cooked chicken ,plenty of choice for all courses and good drinks menu too.Situated near the town centre with plenty of parking. Helpful, friendly staff and prompt service.Always find Nando,s a bit expensive ie £2.50 for a lemonade, and expensive garlic bread and sweets.Overall though, a good visit and will go again

We visited the new nandos in Mansfield twice now, once on a weekday evening and once on a Sunday afternoon. The service was great both times. Sat straight down and got served quickly and staff were friendly. On the Sunday my chicken was dry, I think as it wasn't so busy the chicken had been cooked and sat waiting a while.

This was a typical Nandos restaurant. Food arrived in good time and was tasty. For a tip only buy one drink between two of you as the glasses are refillable anyway. They offer military discount so don't forget to ask for that when paying.

Just getting round to reviewing this place but have probably had family meals here about half a dozen times now. I know Nandos splits opinion but we really like it. You know what you're getting and it's consistently good. Good for the children too. The staff are usually helpful and friendly too.
