Nando's in Powys

Quick visit on new year's eve for lunch. I appreciate this as a busy time however service non existent. We were showed to our table then pretty much left to our own devices. Call me old fashioned but it's not asking much to at least have someone available to take a food/drink order. The table next to us probably noticed we looked a little lost so advised us to order with a QR code on the app, pay online then have the food brought to the table?! Which we did. We waited a little while in the canteen type dining area. No actual bar just bottled drinks in a fridge or help yourself soft drink. Collect your own cutlery. I wouldn't have been surprised at that point if I'd have been expected to go and make my own burger! When the food arrived it left alot to be desired. Couple of greasy bits of chicken thigh, slapped between two pieces of chewy dry roll, a sad looking bit of lettuce and a dollop of sauce for around £12 I believe then additional charge for any sides. I'm not sure if this is standard practice for Nando's or if it was just this particular establishment but it's safe to say I won't be returning.

Was advised that if I booked online via QR code I'd get 3 free wings. Great, so I did. Then another member of staff came over and said that if I complete the survey that would be emailed to me and rated them a 5, I would get the free wings. I refused and still received the wings. So,Jamie, your underhand tactics to try to increase ratings earned you the opposite review you clearly intended,l. This is for encouraging dishonest reviews for personal gain.

Poor quality service and substandard food. Made to feel quite unwanted as a customer and I shall not return. Disappointing as we had taken Australian visitors there who were left with a bad experience.

Nando’s is normally one of my favourite places to dine in Hereford, decant food , good service but I went here with a few friends recently and I ordered the olives and a drink while my friend ordered a drink and some fries. Usually they don’t take too long but for some reason they took quite a while, I’d say around 27 minutes. My friend went to the counter asking where the fries are . The guy said that they made the food but the receipt got lost . So they printed a new one. We finally got the food but turns out that the fries were slightly cold , their was a hair in it and a little bit of paper in it . Anyway the staff apologised for the inconvenience but me and my friends were still disappointed about the experience.

Had a wonderful meal, great atmosphere and will be back again. We were served by Kev and he was brill :)

We went 10 mins prior to tell them we would like a table for 8 and they said they would call in 45 mins and with no call we returned in an hour and told they couldn’t seat us right now. After waiting 10 mins we saw them sitting smaller parties and we went back to ask where we were at with the table. We were told they couldn’t seat us because of a health inspection and they couldn’t cook chicken. After being very rudely spoken to we decided to leave.

Went to this restaurant on Saturday where we were greeted by a very nice, warm and welcoming member of staff called Carlton - Nothing was too much trouble for him. The food was as amazing as always. We will definitely be back x x

Would not return to this restaurant it wad dirty from the front door to the table to the station where you get cutlery that was baked of food not washed properly and dripping sauce bottles chicken was dry chips Luke warm did not bother the staff as too busy on the phones time in 12.30pm first bench on the left

We had a evening meal at this restaurant it was very busy as it's next to the cinema The food was freshly cooked and we did not experience any issues. The only thing I was not happy with was that we sat at a table that has not been cleaned properly there was evidence of the last customers food bits etc also the floor looked like it needed attention it may be because they were busy

We regularly visit nandos all over the place This one in Hereford was really good. The food was fresh and the service was quick It was quite busy, we would definitely return when in the area

Is it me or have the wings shrunk ? I thought the first meal was a one off but yesterday's confirmed that the wings are at least a third of the size they used to be. Obviously they are still the same price which is disappointing. To eat the same amount you would have to order 5 extra ones. Very sad because Nando's was by far my favourite fadt food restaurant.

Truly awful. Took several attempts to find clean cutlery. Place was drab and needed a good clean. Table very sticky. Staff mood suited the decor....miserable (not surprised). Food menu overly complicated and over priced. Everything we asked we were advised to "visit the table over there". There is nothing to like about this place. 3 This was our first and last ever visit to a Nando's and will definitely be our last.

The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. Was a great place to go on a double date. The only downside is how busy the restaurant is and the amount of children. I wouldn't recommend it if you're socially anxious or looking for a quiet environment. The bottomless soft drinks are amazing and the peri peri chips are my favourites. Nandos grows on me each time I go there. They also have good system of sending you a text message when a table is free so you don't have to stand around waiting.

Had a takeaway, it was okay, but not the best we have had, butterfly chicken were rather dry, the garlic bread lacked flavour and the peri chips, lacked spice.

Really good meal had here. Piping hot when it arrived, and not too much of a wait. Premises are clean and tidy, and the staff friendly.

I am a regular visitor to Nandos but have not been to this restaurant before. As usual the food tasted fresh, it was well presented, served quickly and with a smile. Great value for money.

We always visit this particular Nando's when we are visiting friends in Hereford. Food is nice, restaurant is not too big and service has always been fine. We will return in our next trip to Hereford.

never been to Nando's before so didn't know how it worked. Had to ask the server at the till what to do with the empty drinks glass and where to go as she didn't bother to say, bought an apple drink for my little girl but didn't realise it was cordial, so she drank straight cordial, same happened on the table next door, so guessing this isn't a one off. When we realised it should have water I couldn't find any, turned out the machine was broken. Food was terrible, but no one to complain to, chicken was dry, the kids meal consisted of dry chicken, chips and 3 not so healthy cherry tomatoes. Overall, overpriced, badly cooked and poor service. Restaurant wasn't very clean either :(

Hello Everybody, me and my friend Ellie got our food about 5 minutes after ordering. However, esme and Natalie didn’t get there’s until 40 minutes later! Still good food but an awful wait but got offered free 2 desserts

If you fancy something different then how about trying some Portuguese food. This restaurant is located in the old cattle market & is very easy to find. The staff there are very friendly & helpful, they have a very comprehensive menu which caters for all tastes & all their food is freshly cooked to your requirements & can be purchased for a very reasonable price.

Always good service and love the food. A lovely treat for the whole family whether it's a date night before the cinema or a lunchtime date with friends

The minute you walk into the door to the minute you leave you get fantastic customer service, from working in the restaurant industry I know it’s very important to have great service. The food was absolutely amazing, the butterfly chicken and the peri chips with halloumi is just heaven! Highly recommend!!!

First time to Nando's thought we would try it must admit we wanted to go Beefy boys but it was full so thought we come here...Food was ok..Chicken was cooked lovely...We had the no bones share platter for 2 people, so we though we would have 2 of everything....which we didnt 6 chicken wings, 1 small bowl of salad,one small bowl of chips,2 garlic bread and only one sweetcorn on the cob...people who I talk to rave bout Nandos don't know why nothing special...Didn't fill us up at all so we called by beefy boys and had a take away....

Only been here once before I had the fino pitta with a side of coleslaw and it was surprisingly very nice, going again next week for another birthday meal and I’m looking forward to it

Didn't like the place and the menu was very limiting. Basically you can only get awful piri-piri chicken which was a big let down!

Never visited before as we thought it was for meat eaters only but after checking out the menu online we decided to give it a try.

Came back to Hereford for 2 nights to see the family and have a day at the races all together. Popped in for a cheeky Nando’s on Wednesday to help cure a severe hangover, I must say we were all very impressed. The food was extremely nice, the staff were polite and professional, a very good evening all round thank you.

Food was really good. Can't complain about that. Staff were good too, and we weren't rushed to leave once we had finished. Shame there were no knives though. This is always a problem there. There is always a lack of cutlery!

Most people go here when they fancy chicken to eat and don’t have time to wait or cook for themselves have been in a few times but for me not a place I would recommend as a good meal when out

We had a table for three for a nice lunch time in this restaurant, it was delicious food and good service The prices was very reasonable Definitely we will come back

We visited yesterday for lunch, after doing a bit of shopping. We were taken to a table and sat down to look at the menu. The person who seated us asked if we want him to explain anything to us and we declined and had a look through the menu. We were sat for around 20 minuted and wondered why no one had come to take our order and then looked around and realised that we have to go up to order ourselves ! We ordered our food and waited around 5 mins for our food to be brought to the table. My 5 year olds meal was chicken strips (just plain chicken not coated like most restaurants) and 2 huge wedges that looked as if they'd been cooked last week just and chucked on the plate, needless to say little one took one look and cried refusing to eat them and pushed his plate away from him!! Both mine and my hubby's food was ok but certainly not worth the money and the only reason I have given 2 stars on this review is that the staff were very friendly,the soft drinks were refillable and little one could have milk to drink which you don't get in a lot of places!

I visited Nando’s on a bit of a spur of the moment meals out. Restaurant was busy but accommodated us on a nice side table. We choose our menu and ordered at the counter. In due course our meals arrived and were as tasty as ever. We only had mains as I find the meals a good size and plenty of variety. Would definitely be visiting again.

There’s always a 50/50 chance as to whether I’m going to leave Hereford Nando’s satisfied. I always order a chicken wrap (no chilli jam, add cheese) and if I’m particularly hungry, I’ll order a double one.

Again we popped in here after the cinema on a Friday night. Greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table fairly quickly considering it was packed.

We popped in after the cinema on a Sunday night for supper. The establishment wasn't too busy, which was good. Clean and tidy throughout. Service was good and friendly. Food was also good and we didn't have to wait long at all, fast. All over in 30 mins.

Nandos is always a safe bet when you want something fast and easy before a night out or before a film. The food is consistently good and the staff are very polite and welcoming.

lacking in choice of vegetables which were a small portion but the tasty chicken made up for that. I do find their spice ratings a little high as their very spice sauce is tasty but not overly hot. Pleasant atmosphere. Like the refillable drinks.

Generally the same in every store in regards to food. Staff were cleaning and very attentive to all needs. They did not have stock of what I had ordered but were happy to replace option with whatever I wanted which I was pleased about. I came in a fairly large group and the food was all delivered at the same time despite the fact we had ordered separately which I believe shows efficiency. Toilets also very clean which is highly important.

Family lunch date and the food was really good. It was spoiled by lack of service in other areas though. The girl who took my order was distracted and chatting with others in the queue, and then we were given scalding hot glasses for our drinks. When I asked for cold ones I was told there weren't any. Not even an offer to run them under cold water or to offer an alternative solution. The restaurant was clean and tidy but I found myself stood with other customers waiting for cutlery to arrive. Cutlery was restocked direct from the dishwasher tray, dripping wet. Toilets also needed some attention - no toilet roll and generally not very clean. Shame about all of these because the food was actually very good!

so glad nandos came to hereford good food at good price just one thing that really is a let down and alot more recent is the staff eating and drinking at the two tables at the top there loud rude laughing alot as well typical gang of teenagers in a restaurant but there not there on there break i guess then the ones who are not congregate round some staff were not at work at all last time just in there with there shopping have they not got a rest room it seems very unprofessional

Para ser honestos, no era mi primera opción, y yo sólo fui porque todo el mundo otro restaurante parecía estar lleno. Sin embargo, me quedé muy sorprendido por la experiencia. El restaurante estaba interesantemente diseñadas y muy limpias. Todo el personal era muy cortés y servicial y la comida era excelente. No dudaría en volver a visitar un restaurante nando's de nuevo.

We had a great visit last week due to a colleague deciding he would like his leaving do at Hereford Nando's . There were quite a few of us so we were advised to pre-order our meals to avoid a lengthy wait. The staff were efficient and the food was promptly delivered with nothing missing -like a military operation. The whole group enjoyed their delicious meals. We had a lovely evening together.

My wife and I had a Friday evening meal here. We were greeted at the main door quickly and seated. The waiter cleaned our table straight away. We had a chicken meal with 2 regular side orders each (I had chips and corn on the cob). With an NHS card this meal had 20% off and cost approx. £15 for the two of us. A good deal and we were stuffed. Thanks Nando's.

This was my 2nd visit to Nandos, my first in Stirling was very disappointing, when I had the chicken. This time in Hereford I had a vegetarian option (a mushroom and halloumi burger), what a mistake. Couldn't pick the minuscule burger up as the bottom was soggie and falling apart, the slice of halloumi was so thin it was more like a shaving and there was only 1 small mushroom. Overall it was over priced rubbish that left me hungry. The only positive was the staff were reasonable and polite, even though we did have to ask twice for one item. I won't be back.

I had my first nandos in Birmingham and it was amazing, the chicken fall off the bone and was cooked amazing. Then I come back to my home town and it was dry had to send my food back, then received attitude for doing so, I believe if I pay for my food it should be warm and cooked correctly, the waitresses are so unprofessional and have attitude that shouldn't be shown in a work place. Took the waitresses ages to remove the plates from our table. The fudge cake tasted out of date. Wouldn't recommend Hereford Nandos to anyone!!

I tried Nando's for the first time when it came to Hereford old market.i was.I must say I was surprised, loads of veggie options and healthy too. Very friendly staff and fast service.Always my first choice for a quick tasty meal .my favourite the beany burger in pitta bread with halloumi and avacado,,hummus to start . Yum

Arrived to be told there was between a 5 and 15 minute wait for a table. Told to sit in waiting area. There appeared to be no organisation of who came when getting a table seemed to depend who you knew. We were eventaullay seated after 20 mins , we then waited over 10 mins in the queue only on member of staff on the till. Then waited over 30 mins for food which arrived one hour after arriving at the restaurant. This only happened cos I asked a member of staff. He offered us a free starter ans said the restaurant was busy. Food ok when arrived but as a regular customer don't think I will go back for a while at least to Hereford. Good example of poor customer service.Advice if they say 15 mins wait ask about wait for food as well

The chicken was cooked well when we went here, as you would expect from a restaurant that sells mainly chicken! You have to go up to pay, it's not your usual sit down and orders taken kind of diner which is its only downside but when I've been the food has been great

we had friends coming to visit and they suggested Nandos as they were regulars there. I booked a table of 7 and it was all ready when we arrived , all nice and friendly young staff ,we had the butterfly burger ,I like that we could choose how hot we liked it, we all had peri salted chips ,plus we had a whole chicken and garlic bread and coleslaw ,not a long wait for food and it was nicely presented and tasted nice and fresh. Soft drinks are refillable which was great as I needed about 3 ! the kids in our group had nice meals and elderflower juice. Endless frozen yogurt after ( mango favour) went down well. Great place, nice atmosphere and very busy and popular ,I will be back with my husband for another meal soon.

This restaurant offer affordable yet delicious food. We had a trainee waiter called Haranjit serve us and he was lovely.

My husband an I are big fans of Nandos but I fancied a change so first we went to restaurant two doors down, the people in front of us were advised there was a forty minute wait on food and no tables available at the moment . On hearing this we left the restaurant and headed two doors up to Nandos. We weren't dissapointed the host seated us immediately and was most attentive and helpful especially so when my husband couldn't find the xxx hot sauce he fetched a dish from the kitchen. Charlie the chef served up the best cooked food ever. Nothing was too much trouble. Well done Hereford.

On this Tuesday night the restaurant was quite empty , there were 3 adults and 1 child in our party,My order was a supergrain salad and we were told at the time of of ordering that the restaurant had run out of cucumber but we could have extra tomatoes on the meal .When our meals arrived all seemed OK at first but on closer inspection I found that there was no Avacado on my meal , when I complained I was told that they had run out of Avacado, why then had they allowed me to order this meal which was advertised with " large chunks " of Avacado, no apology was given and the Manager was strangely absent , won't be going to Nando's again EVER .

I visited with my wife at the weekend for lunch. Friendly staff showed us to our table. Everything was clean and tidy and the service good.I had peri peri chicken in pita bread with chips and cola. The chips were bland and the chicken was okay. Fairly expensive for what you get i.e. not good value. To crown it off, a different waiter approached us near the end of our Nando's experience and called us "guys". We're possibly old enough to be this chaps grand-parents. Sort it out please. Thank you.

Americans reading this: it falls between a Moe's and a Chile's. Nothing fancy, definitely a chain restaurant. However, we stumbled upon it by accident while looking for another restaurant, and it ended up being great! You are greeted by a member of staff and given a seat, then when you're ready you order at the counter. Service was quick and definitely friendly and helpful. Food was tasty, lots of veggie options, nothing to complain about.

Booked a table (two adults and seven children) for a birthday meal away from others so as not to possibly annoy the customers on a Friday night out. When we got there it seemed the table wasn't available however in minutes tables were moved to accommodate and the service for the rest of the meal couldn't be faulted. Really friendly (non intrusive) staff, food was excellent and they all enjoyed themselves.

I went to this place for a friend's birthday with no expectations, and none were met. The food might be just about ok but on my visit they ran out of clean forks and I had to wait over 10 minutes for the staff to produce one, by which time my meal was cold. There is plenty of choice in Hereford. Choose somewhere else!

Food was lovely and very quick, was given the wrong side at start but was sorted straight away. One staff member Alex I think, was very good was constantly checking if our food was ok.

We love a nandos hassle free and says what it does on the tin.The food was great and service was excellent. The only thing we could grumble about is the coldness in there. A jumper is a good shout.

Myself and my husband visited on Sunday the food was great and so was the service. We did feel a bit in the way tho as there was a big table full of nandos staff chatting away and staff that was working going over to join in.

Had lunch there, service was friendly and prompt, unlike some of the other restaurants in the immediate locality I've eaten in recently. The restaurant was busy and vibrant, but even so the food was cooked and served in a timely fashion.. I've never been to a nandos before, but I actually enjoyed the experience..

Popped in here for dinner whilst in town with work. We were seated promptly and in a polite manner. We weren't asked the usual 'have you eaten with us before' which was a surprise but quite refreshing as it gets boring being asked all the time!Food was average but there were flies all over the place. Not traditional flies, but ones similar to bar flies. It suggests that the restaurant needs a thoroughly good clean. They were on the food and in the drinks! Certainly won't be returning.

Called in today,,despite being busy the staff were efficient and informative, we were told we would need to wait 5 mins. We ordered our food and despite the restaurant Georg extremely busy we were served our food within a short space of time. Good service under pressure.

Efficient and very friendly. Welcomed immediately despite being very busy. The only downside was the size of the portions. I've had chicken breasts before in various Nando's usually with some kind of salad. This was less a breast than sliver. My wife's portion was a little bigger but not much. Without sounding like Goldilocks and the three bears, my son had chosen boneless chicken thighs and was rewarded with a good portion size. So that's my recommendation. Chicken thighs

Have been many times, service & food is very consistent. Staff friendly, welcoming & so helpful. Especially regarding food allergies. Nothing is too much trouble however busy it may be. The staff all seem very happy which is lovely to see.

I wouldn't have anything other than a whole chicken. Also If you have room try the cheesecake it's rather nice.

We had a great evening dining on tasty chicken dishes with lots of sides and delicious hummus. The server Thai was absolutely brilliant with our order taking at counter ( especially as he was rudely interrupted mid-transaction by another woman customer who tore him off a strip about lack of ketchup). Thai handled the complaint professionally even though she repeatedly was rude and obnoxious to him. He was extremely attentive to our group and nothing was too much trouble. We all had a really nice evening and the food was terrific. All staff on duty that evening were pleasant but Thai was outstanding.

Came here for dinner on a few occasions while working at the local hospital, in walking distance from the County Hospital and the B&B I was staying in. Discount is given to NHS staff which is a bonus. Good food and good service, spacious and very clean too.

No issues with the food as always. Very hard to enjoy a sit down meal when it's really cold due to the door being broken and letting the Arctic air come in!

Been lots of times, good value for money, lovely food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Have had a couple of times when things have been wrong but the staff were really helpful and sorted the problems out quickly. The free refills on the drinks are good, some places in that area could do with taking on that idea rather than over charging for the same type of drinks. Love the sauces, the chicken wrap with garlic sauce is my favourite. Childrens meals are very good value too, have been many times.

Visiting Hereford to see family and friends and decided to have a bite to eat here. The staff were friendly and I was quickly seated. I ordered my food and it arrived fairly quickly. The food was as expected being the normal Nando's food you would expect. The food was ok but some of the chicken was dry but this did not really detract on the overall experience. All in all a average experience, I've had better but then again I've had a lot worst.

I would like to thank the nandos team hereford,my son and I enjoyed a meal after an afternoon at the movies, my first time to this restaurant, food as great as always, tasty hot, and great value for money..

First time to Nandos... chicken was good and reasonable value... staff very friendly... strange to have counter ordering and help yourself to cutlery. It makes the place reminicent of a canteen... would be better to go for a fast food outlet or a proper restaurant rather than a hybrid of the two.

We visited last evening and as always the service was exceptional, the new team they have in the Hereford Nando's have got it sorted excellent service fresh food and nothing is too much trouble!

Not a place I would normally visit, but we were in Hereford and decided to grab a bite to eat at lunchtime before returning home.My partner and I had a chicken platter to share with fried and coleslaw.I also decided to have a frozen vanilla yoghurt.The staff were helpful and attentive. The food arrived on one large plate for us to share. Portion sizes were sufficient, a bowl of coleslaw, spicy fries and some chicken.The chicken while the portion seemed a little small for two people was nevertheless tasty and very tender. The coleslaw was O,K as well. My gripe was that the fries were soft and rubbery, as though they had been left under the heat lamps for too long.The other gripe was my frozen yoghurt, which was nothing of the sort..It was really a sweet vanilla type ice cream It had none of the flavour expected of yoghurt, I had a spoonful and ended up leaving the rest. At a cost of £2.95 for a tub the size of an eggcup, I didn't feel it represented very good value for money.I suppose it was partly my own fault as I said earlier, I don't normally go to these chain- type places..and now I know why. I won't be re-visiting.

Not impressed...put in the seats next to the wide open door, having to wear coats through our dinner, found it quite expensive for what it is, complicated menu and ordering, typical poor Hereford service, probably great somewhere else.....not here !
