Namaste India in Norwich

The food was all amazing and the staff were all lovely! I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal out 10/10

I’ve heard many good reviews about this place but was yet to try it for myself. It did not disappoint. Food was full of flavour and very traditional, the venue is beautiful, service was great and the waitress was very knowledgeable. I don’t class myself as a vegetarian so think it’s why I hadn’t been to visit, but don’t let it put you off. Will definitely be back, thank you.

What a fantastic place to eat. The decor envelopes you in as you enter into the most beautiful setting making you feel like you are in India. It was the first time eating there and we were bowled over by the food. The flavours were amazing , food was delicious and presentation was tip top. The staff were experienced to help us decide what was suitable for each one of our tastes. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, we are meat eaters but having now tried a full vegetarian menu , Namaste is the place for us , thankyou ☺️

We were in Norwich for a week for our 39th anniversary and decided to walk to this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing and unusual. I am a meat eater but thoroughly enjoyed the food at this 100% vegetarian restaurant.

I have been to this restaurant a few times and it never disappoints. The service is friendly good. The food is all vegetarian or vegan (meat substitutes available), and it is really delicious and full of flavour. I am a meat eater and don't miss the meat at all. At the moment they offer a 25% blue light / nhs/ aviva discount during the week, which is pretty good.

Visiting Norwich from California. Had a wonderful dinner, amazing food. The IPA was 5.9%. Great service and delightful friendly people with awesome hospitality. Please stop by and I assure you. You WILL love the food and atmosphere.

Was dubious with this being a vegetarian/vegan restaurant but pleasantly surprised. Service was outstanding, food was amazing, can’t fault anything about the whole experience. Thank you.

I've spent more time in India than in any other country except England and seek out restaurants that serve Indian street food. Namaste India is - sincerely- the best restaurant of its kind I have ever eaten in. Truly. It is also great value for money and customer service is brilliant. What more can I say? Except that I'm only here in Norwich for two nights and I hope to eat there again tomorrow.

No matter that the restaurant was quiet - we chose to go at 6pm and reveled in the knowledge that we were receiving the undivided attention of the chef/s. The food, as ever, was immaculately presented and utterly delicious. My partner and I shared a Masala Dosa, one of the Paneer dishes and the Aubergine Bhaji, all of which were absolutely divine. The service was excellent - the young lady serving us was delightful, smiling throughout our interaction and deserving of the additional tip we gave her on top of the (included) service charge. All in all, a delightful meal, as good as that served at its bigger sister restaurant: Namaste Village and handier for us as it’s only a 10 minute walk from where we live!

First time visiting and will be rushing back! Sublime service with an outstanding waitress. Delicious food, served in a timely and respectful manner. Attentive staff and great value. Highly recommended.

I’m always amazed that Namaste India isn’t jam packed full like its sister ship, Namaste Village! The food is amazing- full of flavour and authenticity. I’m a regular visitor and enjoy everything about the experience. The staff are so friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I hesitate to give a review in case it starts getting as busy as its other Norwich restaurant and I can’t get a table! It’s just up the road from the train station and there’s parking in the adjacent road, so all in all, it’s an easy place to get to, and it is SO worthwhile!

We tried to go to their sister restaurant Namaste Village (as recommended by our hotel) but they didn't have space and they suggested that we go here. I'm glad we did. A simple restaurant with some lovely artwork on the wall and a good crowd. The waitress was helpful and attentive. The food was a real taste of India and reminded us of food we'd eaten in India. I had the no-meat Lamb Masala and my husband chose a Dosa. They were both delicious. A large table came in but we did not feel neglected and the service was upheld. Plus the table of 11 was not too loud or distracting. I wasn't feeling well and was pleased that service was quick and the food was good. I'd recommend especially for vegetarians or vegans.

I accidentally booked here instead of their other Restaurant, also called Namaste. The interior looks like a take away and is shabby. They wheel away dishes on a trolley, which on the tiled floors, makes a terrible noise. The food took 40 minutes to arrive but as we were all chatting, this wasn't too much of a problem. It is too long to wait though. The food was good, not sure if it's as good as the other Namaste and the the waiter service was pleasant. Nowhere to park.

We had a takeaway. The curries had the consistency of slop and the mushroom bhajis had the consistency of rubber. It was also over-priced.

Fantastic food!! Looks perhaps a little unsuspecting from the outside but was such a wonderful find. The cocktails and drinks were really delicious and it had a really wonderful, relaxed atmosphere and nice interior. The food was so delicious, really flavourful, and just absolutely amazing. Had such a nice time and left very happy with our leftovers. My non-vegan parents were dubious to begin with but are now converted. Thank you to the people working there too, you guys were great.

This is a lovely South Indian vegetarian restaurant. The food is great and the service very friendly. Well worth a visit.

Due to where we were staying we decided to get a takeaway meal for dinner. We were met by a charming and friendly lady who took our orders and, as it was a slow time near lunch closing time, she spent time talking about the restaurant and its meals. The dishes we chose were excellent. Large enough to make dinner for us over two nights. The restaurant has very interesting art work. No off street parking. Easy pedestrian access. Highly recommended .

Went to Namaste India for a cookery class today. I really enjoyed learning to make dosa (and the ingredients thereof) as well as chaat! Although I would've preferred the Queens Road location, it was still a great experience. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable....

Cookery school was excellent. Tuition was clear and demonstration good. Restaurant well laid out to enable clear view. Given recipes to enable to recreate at home.

Even if you are not a vegetarian, the food at this restaurant is exceptional. As people who regularly eat in the Balti Triangle in Birmingham, it is probably the best curry that we have eaten.

This is the most wonderful Indian restaurant. Do not let the fact that it is vegetarian put you off. The food is fabulously authentic and the dosa is a real treat

Had a really delicious meal. Took our 2 children (9 and 11) they enjoyed trying new things and had options that weren’t too spicy. The waitress was very helpful in making suggestions and explaining things on the menu.
