Fantastic garlic and chilli curry

Chef obviously must be punjab because if he thinks this food is authentic and good HE IS DEFINITELY ON DRUGS... Paneer butter masala was out if this world coz it doesn't belong on this earth... alien food... tasted and smelled like forbidden juice. food does not look FDA approved.

Waited 50 minutes for takeaway just for it too be the worst indian food ever ... paneer butter masala disgusting.. doesn't look or taste like human food.. there was some naan in garlic naan.

I have been getting takeaway from this restaurant for a good number of years. I rang to order my usual meals to find the number was unavailable which I found odd. I continued to ring for a further 20min constantly to eventually get through. It took me almost 10 minutes to place the order. Chap on the other end kept repeating back to me the wrong order to which I corrected in total of 5 times, told to wait, wasn’t listening, to be eventually told it would be 20min for my collection. I arrived 20min later to collect my order to find the entire order was wrong. I asked about the difficulty getting through when I arrived to be told they have added additional phone lines and apologised, apologised for the entire order being wrong to which I had to wait a further 20 minutes for it to be made. Got home with our dinner eventually for the vast majority of it to go in the bin! I ordered a sag paneer, it was a tub of EXTREME salty badness sauce that went in the bin with little to no paneer. The chicken dishes were of much the same standard - dried out ( overcooked), not much of it was edible. Unfortunately the Nakadar seem to be be driven over numbers (orders, £’s ) over quality of their orders. Would I return - absolutely not! I would avoid here at all costs if you want to be out of pocket and hungry! Dining in the restaurant itself may be a totally different experience, can send stuff back instead of it going in the bin.

Arrived for lunch early and was shown to our table and ordered drinks no fuss no waiting. Ordered our starters and mains along with some added extras food arrived piping hot and within a very reasonable time and tasted absolutely delicious.Glad we arrived early as it soon started to get busy. Would certainly recommend as we have been coming here for years and the staff are very attentive so remember and leave them a nice tip.

Great curry! We ordered from here twice now and each dish was exceptional - amazing flavours, lamb that melts in the mouth, and, the bonus: generous portions . We will keep this wee place on top of our list.

This was always my favourite Indian until the past few times I’ve had a takeaway. They have added a different spice to them pakora and spicy onions & it’s not tasking better ! I don’t like it and sadly won’t be back due to this . I’ve been eating there for the past 4 years . Going to look for another place . Staff are always nice here . It’s also very pricey compared to other places .

Had to change my tikka masala as it was bland ,second bhuna was totally tasteless, very disappointed,must give praise to the manager who did not charge for the meal ,but overall I would not rush back

Have loved this place since it opened. The best Indian food I have ever had. The beer garden upgraded is great for a beer and quick munch.

I tell everyone about Nakodar because it's just that good. From the bad reviews I see it's people whinging about a cloudy beer (ask for another?) and being on hold for delivery (use an app?). Everything I've had has been really good, been ordering for years now.

Had a great meal on Saturday night at my daughter's birthday party. Mixed pakora starter really tasty. Garlic chilli lamb really tender and had a nice kick. My wife loved her lamb chops. Would definitely return if I'm in the area

This is probably my favourite restaurant in Glasgow. My go to place for all family functions. The food, service, and ambiance is terrific. The lamb phaal as always, was excellent. I would also highly recommend the honey and ginger naan.

Visited on a quiet Thursday night and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The Nokodari was beautiful. Just the right amount of heat and a huge portion. Grilled chicken came out sizzling on the bone and was also seasoned well. Staff were friendly and attentive and prices are fair. A really nice, no nonsense restaurant

I've been ordering for Nakodar for years, and it's good to see a return to form. There had been a period where their menu on Just Eat lost a lot of my old favourites, but they are back and as good, if not better, than ever. Loads of places have a curry that's basically a korma with green chillies, but few have the East End charm of the 'Des'. Nakodar were one of the first places I tried with paneer pakora and it's still a favourite. The diet might start on Monday, but the extra veg in Nakodari rice makes it a winner in this house no matter how empty the intent to eat better is. It's delicious. The fact that they've upgraded the already good bags to reusable textile ones is just a further treat. Can't wait to order my next curry, but I should probably scoff the leftovers first.

This was my second visit to Nakodar Grill and I was pleased to return there. I was with a group of 5 and everyone was impressed with their meal. Mine was delicious. There are appropriate safety restrictions in place to combat COVID.

Another absolutely beautiful meal from Nakodar. We usually eat in but with covid we decided to get a carry out, fantastic service from booking, receiving a txt message letting you know to proceed to the main entrance and getting greeted by a friendly face. Then to get home and the food is as good as in the restaurant. Recommend the best curry around.

I regularly eat at Nakodar Grill it is one of my favourite restaurants. Ate there tonight food was its usual high standard. Restaurant was BALTIC two doors lying open constantly it was like sitting in a wind tunnel.

Después de leer todas las críticas fabulosas, teníamos muchas ganas de comer aquí. Nos encantó el aspecto del restaurante desde el exterior y también nos gustó la decoración interior. Pedí tandoori de salmón después de haber visto una buena crítica. Cuando llegó a la fuente chisporroteante, era solo un trozo de salmón con pimientos y no se veía como en un horno tandoori. Los pimientos estaban mal cocidos y ninguno sabía como si hubiera sido tandoor. Además, el plato estaba lleno de líquido. El camarero indio me dijo que era jugo de limón. No sabía a limón y había tanto que se podía sacar con una cuchara. Me ofrecieron algo más, pero en ese momento me rendí. Lo incliné hacia un lado para mostrarle a uno de los otros camareros la cantidad de líquido en la sartén y dijo que no era así como se veía normalmente. Me pregunté si tenían los pimientos almacenados en líquido listos para llevar en el tandoor y el mío había sido chapado y enviado sin ponerlo en el horno tandoori. Vergüenza ya que tenía tantas ganas de probar este restaurante. Este plato tenía 17 y no se quitó nada de la factura. También hacía frío ya que tenían que mantener las dos puertas abiertas de par en par, como nos dijeron, debido al virus corona.

Las precauciones de COVID fueron muy tranquilizadoras.Por seguridad, lo mejor era que la puerta delantera y trasera estaban abiertas para que el aire circulara. ¡Asegúrate de llevar un cardie contigo!El personal llevaba máscaras y se disponía de desinfectante de manos.Fui con otros 4 amigos al Nakodar y todos quedamos muy impresionados con nuestros platos separados.El mío estaba delicioso (pollo con mantequilla tika que suena un poco aburrido, pero el fantástico chef hizo su magia y lo hizo realmente sabroso).Me encantaría volver a cenar aquí.

Edificio de aspecto muy cansado desde el exterior. Dos parejas llegaron a tiempo, pero la mesa informada todavía tenía comensales anteriores, así que tuvimos diez minutos para esperar afuera. No es un menú enorme, pero hay mucho para elegir. Nuestros entrantes de pollo pakora, pollo con chili y pollo poori eran excelentes. Palomitas de maíz condimentadas con cebollas y salsa de mango. pollo tikki masala, cordero biryani, pollo Palak Palay todo delicioso, pero al servir se olvidó del arroz, por lo que se desperdiciaron unos minutos antes de su llegada. Teníamos el menú del almuerzo Tuve una charla de pollo agradable, mamá comió pollo tikka (solo recibió 2 piezas, por lo que se terminó mucho antes que yo), lo que significa que el camarero se llevó su plato vacío mientras yo comía, sentí que me estaban diciendo que me apurara . Mamá comió el pollo chasni. Yo comí cordero korma tan bueno como estaba, no sabía a korma. Teníamos miel y jengibre nan agradable pero muy pegajoso y muy pequeño. Casi no había arroz en comparación con la salsa. Pero la gran decepción fue 3. 10 por una pinta de coca cola que ni siquiera era auténtica.

Mi esposa y yo tomamos una comida para llevar la otra noche y tuve un pollo phal que era excelente, el mejor que he probado en un tiempo. Un gran phal no solo es muy picante sino también sabroso y esto fue ambos. Como siempre, una gran comida, pero este fue el mejor phal hasta ahora.

Staff were all courteous. Decor is quaint. Sheikh kebab was good as well as the chicken tikka. Naan bread was great. Prices were excellent Not disappointed at all

Como amante de la comida asiática del sudeste, tenía grandes expectativas debido a la calificación y las críticas, pero estaba muy decepcionado. La bartha de berenjena estaba muy, demasiado salada y las papas en el aloo Gobi estaban tan poco cocidas que casi crujieron. Esperaba que el ajo naan estuviera hecho con ghee, no cubierto con una salsa espesa de mantequilla, mientras que el peshwari no tenía nueces ni fruta, solo la pasta de coco rosa que obtendrías en lugares más baratos. Cuando pregunté a una camarera si habían cambiado de chef desde que el restaurante ganó un premio como mejor indio en Escocia hace unos años, ella confirmó mis sospechas. ¿Qué más puedo decir? Definitivamente no es un lugar para entendidos.

OMG if you havent been here, you need to go! The staff are very attentive and friendly. Our server made great recommendations. First time I have been here and I can honsetly say its the best Garlic Chilli Chicken I have EVER had and I eat a lot of Indian food. I will definitely be back. Great value for money.

We're regular visitors to Nakodar. The tarka daal is to die for and we also love the salmon tikka. Staff are attentive and super friendly and I also love that you can get any curry off the menu as a veg option. Amazing wee Indian in the heart of Dennistoun.

Decided to order a carry out from Nakodar as had eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and had found the food very good. The dish my husband and I decided to share was a mixed grill which included Rice and Naan and cost £16.00. We have ordered this dish on many occasions from various restaurants and have always found it to be plentiful for 2 people!Service at the restaurant and the quality of the food was very good but it gets an overall 2 stars as this dish would not have been enough for my 6 year old niece. The dish consisted of 2 king prawns, 2 pieces of chick tikka, 2 thin slices of lamb tikka (yes the chunks were butterflied) and a very small shish kebab. This mixed grill costing £16 fitted into a small rectangle plastic container with room for a lemon wedge and a handful of onions!!!! To say we felt ripped off is an understatement!

Tonight I ordered take away and 3 different mistakes have been made with my order. Firstly they forgot to give me rice, this was rectified. Secondly they gave me the wrong nan bread again this was rectified and I was delivered a full new order. Thirdly when my new order arrived I was given the wrong curry. When I phoned up to complain for the THIRD time this evening I was informed that they were busy. I was informed I was not entitled to a refund and although they agreed to change the curry they were not willing to change the rest of the order which was again freezing. I asked the manager what he expected me to do with the meal as it was cold and I reminded him of food hygiene guidelines which advice rice should not be reheated. I can understand 1 mistake but not 3 in the 1 night with the 1 customer. It is a complete lack of incompetence and poor customer service. The manager was unwilling to listen and I was made to feel that the errors were my fault.

Food is tasty but portion sizes are tiny and way over priced,I ordered the most expensive starter on the menu (the waiter recommend) and got 4 of the tiniest pieces of chicken you have ever seen and the rest just salad!i won’t be back again as the Delhi darber is far better priced and portion sizes are far superior!

We were in Glasgow for a few days and this restaurant was recommended to us. We went in on Saturday night and were booked in at short notice for an hour later. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. When we returned we were immediately seated, given menus and brought dips and papadums. We ordered drinks and weren't hurried into immediately ordering. We eventually did and the sheek kebab and tandoori startes were very tasty and light. We then ordered mains of chicken chilli garlic, dhansak and tikka masala with varying rices which were all melt in the mouth. The chicken on all the dishes was soft and full of flavour. The staff throughout were attentive without being intrusive and very polite and friendly. The surprise of the night however was the appearance of Terry the card maestro who proceeded to perform some amazing tricks. This is a great wee restaurant and I would highly recommend it.

This restaurant focusses on Indian food and was very busy the evening I visited. It also provides a takeaway service, which I used. One ordered at a bar area upstairs from the restaurant, where you could have a drink whilst you waited.

My husband and I finally got round to trying this place for dinner last night and are nothing short of impressed! The service was great, didn't have to wait long and staff attentive without being overbearing.

I rarely give five stars and would probably have given 4.5 (if possible) just because I never give 5 haha. To be honest, I'd have taken 0.3 off because the service wasn't the quickest, but that is me being hyper-critical.

We dine here fairly regularly and the service and food are always very good. The other night we had a takeaway: lamb seek starter, tandoori salmon starter, main course chicken phal which was medium spicy for me but would be hot for others and my wife had a veggie curry. All was very good and as good quality as eating in the restaurant. The paratha and sweet nan were also excellent accompaniments with the meal. We really enjoyed our takeaway.

I've been a customer of Nakodar Grill since it opened and it just keeps getting better! I order takeaway and also enjoy going there for a meal with friends when I can. They are a short taxi ride of approx five minutes from the Merchant City/City Centre and approx 15 mins walk. The food is delicious, always so fresh and tasty and the service is first class. Used this Indian for over 4 years and always get set meals for 2 average order about £30 and always added a note to change the plain naan valued at £2.50 on the menu to to a garlic one always offer to pay extra but over the 4 years we have done this we’ve never been asked until recently...not sure if it’s new management but what a shocker of a service, literally all the need to do is spread on some garlic butter... I make it at home and it’s like 50p but turns out after 4 years of loyal custom, they would rather be rude over the phone and have decided they no longer Offer this.

Been to Nakodar Grill several times before. This time it was a Saturday night and table for 12. Mixed platters to start with and they came quickly and were fresh and piping hot. Main courses were enjoyed by all and the breads were first class. As we then headed into town, the staff organised cabs for us which was much appreciated.

We have had two takeaways from here and they were very good so we decided to pop in tonight just after it opened hoping to get a table (will book in the future, it`s popular), very friendly staff welcomed us and showed us to a table. Ordered Fish pakora and chicken puri as starters which was superb, chicken tikka with boona sauce and Jinga tandoori for the mains was fantastic, best I've tasted, will definitely be going again a lot :)
