Very nice place. Always come here on a Saturday. Very polite staff and always a buzz in the air. The food is gorgeous and to die for. Definitely recommend buying from here.

First time ordering from here and was very happy. Very Generous portions. I had a medium cod and chips meal and it was amazing. Chips were so tasty and perfectly salted and the fish was so fresh and tasty! Would highly recommend.

Went on a Tuesday and was very busy so had high hopes already. Probably the best fish and chips place I’ve been to, the fish was massive for the price and not too greasy but certainly enough for what you want at a chippy. The chips weren’t soggy at all nor too crispy accompanying with any sauce you want on the menu, I’d say perfect chippy chips. Even the workers were nice, for a spur of the moment takeout very impressed will be returning.

I love this fish and chip shop but it appears they have decided to focus on Uber Eats as their delivery partner. Our fish and chip dinner via Uber delivery never arrived this week and to be honest Uber couldn't care less when contacted. Sad that I will never use my favourite chippie again while the only delivery option appears to be by Uber Eats. In my opinion, partnering with Uber Eats may end up being a big mistake. :(

Ordered a chicken wrap with their choice of sauce, turned out to be an expensive kids wrap… The chicken was chicken nuggets and the chicken was greyish in colour which is a bit of a turn off tbh, and to top it off ‘no sauce’! Not impressed!

We used to love this chip shop. We had a Friday meal from there every week. Unfortunately over the past 4 weeks they have either a new fryer or different cooking oil....chips are not the same. We considered them the best, but now use a different chip shop due to one of the above happening. We are really sad that this as happened 😢. Maybe in the future they'll go back to there original fryer / oil.

Tasty chips, even better that they have a separate fryer with veg oil for veggie/vegans/people allergic to beef! 😊 Phoned prior, they made sure the fryer was ready for us.

Lovely place for a takeout. Took care of our large request for 20 potato scopllops. Very tasty and enjoyable. Would recommend highly.

In my opinion the best fish and chips for miles. We have even bought chips here and take them to Felixstowe!!

One of the best I've tried. (and I've tried a few). The fish was piping hot and full of flavour whilst the batter was crisp and not greasy. Chips were freshly cooked also not greasy. Price was comparable to other places I've used but definitely better quality. There's nowhere to sit whilst waiting for your order which, being disabled could have been a problem. However the lovely lady behind the counter told me to go sit in my car and she'd bring my order out to me when ready. Top marks for customer service. Will definitely be using again.

First time ordering from here & food is extremely bland… no seasonings or spices whatsoever! Asked for vinegar & salt in my chips & I could barely taste any of the two! Chicken was just roasted with absolutely nothing on it to make it taste good. Not good at all.. do better & learn how to season food 😏 portion sizes are great but when it comes to taste? 0/10 💀

I don't have much fish and chips anymore. However, when I do like a few days ago, I always come here. The portion sizes are very generous, and the fish was really tasty. Price wise on par I suppose with the inflation of costs currently.

I had ordered a delivery last weekend. I didn't realize the fish didn't come with chips but they added a big bag of fries with a little note. It was much appreciated, thank you very much 🤗

Don't like to complaine but the chips we had today were undercooked grease everywhere couldn't eat them like a mound of mashed greasy potatoes please try harder to cook your chips longer we spend good money for your food

They used to be my favourite fish and chip bar in Ipswich, last 12 months they have gone to rubbish, their Donna meat is disgraceful always seems like it's been in microwave and fish is always greasy, I won't be ordering from them until they sort there lives out, shame

Omg fish n chips to die for 😂. Delivered on time, driver pleasent. Obviously not cheap but so worth it.

The chips were half cooked and some of them were practically still raw, meaning that I had to throw most of them away as they were inedible. The delivery drivers were also being prioritised over customers, which was even worse. This place is nothing special like it claims.

Their gluten free menu on Monday nights is excellent. I had not been able to eat fish and chips for years and years (I'm gluten and lactose intolerant) but when I moved to the area and heard of them, I had to try it. I nearly cried with happiness it was so darn good. Great big portion sizes and curry sauce too! I'm now a regular customer!

We had x3 large portions of chips on different days over the last month and what I keep finding is nearly in every one of the portions I found about 5 of the chunkier chips to be not cooked/fried all the way through I can except the odd one be not on this scale so about 10-15 of the chunkier chips in the individual portions were only half cooked/fried so could not eat them so I thought I would just give you the heads up as never come across this problem before!!!!!

I work in this area but normally go home at weekends. Because I worked Saturday I stayed up here because I live quite away and glad I did. I had the fish bar recommended and thought I would give it a try. It’s the best I have had and reminds of when I when we would go on holiday and as kids and as a treat would have fish & chips in one of the coastal towns we would visit. In those days it was in news paper but you can’t have it these days but did eat out of the wrapping as we used to. We have a good chippy back home but the fish bar beats that one. Staff were friendly and helpful, a good portion and plenty of salt and vinegar. I will be definitely going to them again next time I have to stay over.

One of the best fish & chip takeaway in Suffolk n East Anglia ,let alone Ipswich

It used to be a good place with quality food. In the last year and so since the delivery orders have increased in numbers and the delivery drivers are served first, the waiting time has considerably increased (25-30 min) and to top it up I was picked pocket and my card was stolen while I was waiting for my order. 15 min later chargers appeared on my card. There were 5-6 delivery drivers in, talking very loud with staff and only one other customer waiting like me. I used to be a regular customer, not anymore, changing shop ASAP!

I order chips two sausages and two curry sauce when I bk home i find out that two curry sauce was missing some Useless person forgot give me . I call them and they say very rude way "they don't think that was missing and they are busy" Is not my problem they busy and they can't handle that. They just take my name and they say next time they will give me that two curry sauce. Problem is I live to far and I'm there once a few months.

Half chicken was cremated, fish was ok, chips cold,would not use again i would have been embarrassed to sent it out, don't get delivery they take the P

Very slow service. I went there at 12:45 for some chips. 2 people being served, 2 waiting. 10 minutes later I was still waiting. When I got served. I asked for chips. They took my money and then said they had "were waiting on chips". That would certainly be at least another 10 minutes waiting, minimum. Hungry, I gave up and asked for my money back. The woman serving rolled her eyes at me, and gave me my coins. If you are hungry, avoid this shop.

Fresh food she could do with smiling... but the food is worth putting up with grumpy.

Visited on 21.4.2021. Good Covid-19 precautions inside. Staff friendly and service was very fast, despite it being busy. I liked that the staff did not touch any of the food while preparing the order (they use small metal dishes to move the food from the counter when wrapping it. Most importantly, the food was great. Large chips, well cooked. Haddock was excellent. Batter crispy and not too greasy. Highly recommended.

Literally inedible. Everything but the pukka pie and the buttered bread. I mean the bread came from my kitchen.... soggy chips and awful excuse for fish. Turns up cold too?

Fish batter was underdone, when we unwrap the chips they all fell apart. On the whole pretty disappointing. I have eaten what I can but I'm still hungry . 😢

Very disappointed and won't be going back anytime soon. Had to wait 15 minutes to be served even though I was the only person in the shop. There was 3 servers on but all were more interested in getting out orders for the delivery drivers and not customers that had gone to the shop and to top it off the chips were not upto standard and family had upset stomachs the next day.
