This used to be a lovely Chinese, the food was awful tonight, the chicken not edible shame it used to be really nice, cheap produce wouldn’t be back

Consistently very good chinese takeaway. Enjoyed our meal again tonight Our teenage daughter loves it though not the most adventurous in her choices.

2130 I started calling. Online it says they don't close til' 2230. Like a possessive ex, I phoned 3 times in a row and nothing. I had my heart set on the greasy nonsense and I was prepared to pay good money for it too. On the forth ring I was ready to lose my mind, tears edging to my eyelids, desperation clawing at my soul. But by the sixth ring it was game over. I'll never felt such bitter dissapointment. To the freezer I went to dig out some rancid nuggets. What an ignorant way to treat their would-be customers. It's a regretful 0/10 from me tonight. I'll never get over this.

Cash only - would be helpful if there were signs saying to his before entering. Good fast, tasty and staff helpful.

Beautiful. We've been coming to annan for the last 4 years at thus time of year, and never had a Chinese die to other reviews. Finally decided to try ourselves. One of the best we've had for a while, glad we went against other reviews

Just ordered dinner with my family and it’s just arrived and there was so much grease and oil and the chips where still frozen and the chicken was well undercooked, NEVER AGAIN, the place should be closed down, reporting it to higher authorities

Just had my food finally delivered, have used before but after the worst meal that arrived cold and dripping in grease I will never order from here again! I attempted to dry off food with paper towel but the food was ruined by how much oil had been used. No taste other than oil, arrived cold, and all in bin. Phoned up to complain woman wasn’t bothered!

What should have been an enjoyable meal was cold due to wrong information given to a driver resulting in a meal being sent all over before finally being delivered after numerous phone calls and finally going out to meet the driver in the street who showed proof he'd been sent not just to the wrong street but the wrong town. Very disappointed given it was 35 pounds worth of food.

Just had the most amazing meal from here tonight, set meal for 2. Absolutely beautiful I would goes as far as to say the best ive had. We visit Annan once a year and always have a meal here. Never disappointed but tonight it was better than ever. Amazing value for money Thank you 😊

We where staying just outside Annan and went here for our evening meal We enjoyed everything that we ordered .The food was lovely and fresh and piping hot .The girl behind the counter was nice and friendly and answered all our queries and questions . Excellent value all round and we definitely recommend it .

Worst chicken chow mein I have ever tried to eat ,,, turned up 15 mins late and the food was vile ,,, never again will order from these cold dry rubbish, they couldn't even cook the chips right , wifes curry went in the bin.

Staying with friends in Annan, this takeaway was recommended. We were not disappointed. Quality of food is excellent and freshly cooked. A bit of delay of takeaway time (about 15 25 mins) but it was a Friday night (nevertheless order had been placed early afternoon 4:30pm for pick up at 7:15pm) - hence the very good score rather than an excellent score). Takeaway was packed securely with individual packs for the different dishes howevereach pack was not marked as to what it contained. Unexpectedly, an extra dish had been added, which was a kind gesture and was a surprise dish.

Rice and chips ok, sauce nice(peking) chicken was as tough as old boots

Very average - food just warm - wrong order received - very disappointing all round - spoiled a weekend treat!

The worse Chinese food I’ve ever had. Tasteless and every dish looked dark and lacking freshness. Every dish was awful, egg rice was brown! Singapore noodles greasy and no flavour. There was more to moan about but I’ll keep short and just say this was the worse ever and give it a big miss.

Wow. What a great take away, the portion sizes are huge everything is tasty, no grease, delivery on time, hot and fresh.

I’ve been eating from here for 20yrs. I’ve had the peking chicken and satay, the special curry, char Sui, salt n pepper chicken to name a few, and never had an issue. I’d guess some reviews relate to being used to other Chinese restaurants and how their food tastes, the peking was lovely last night. And the salt n pepper chicken. The place during lockdown is doing big business so that speaks for itself. Can’t beat the ham fried rice either. Just need a vaccine or a cure. Cheers

I was really excited to try this place for the first time, but when we tucked in, EVERYTHING was bland and tasteless! Noodles were dry as if reheated, no soy sauce wetness to them, also no vegetables with them as requested. The salt and pepper chips were soggy and had 0 taste, they should be crispy and a bit spicy. Salt and pepper chicken was bizarre, no flavour. The Peking chicken had a very vague hint of sweet flavour but otherwise nothing, no spice to it. Is anything cooked fresh?? We have had better chinese food from a non-Chinese restaurant on the high street...Possibly our worst purchase ever, and we bought the emoji movie! So disappointed...and hungry!

Went here on 22nd Jan. Met at door by lovely assistant , placed order, told to come back in twenty mins, all good. Food was really good, and lots of it. Managed lunch the next day as well. Charsui fried rice. Chicken chow mein, Sweet and sour chicken, chips and prawn crackers. £20.50 ish Lovely 😋

I rang & ordered two takeaway meals last week, my meal was Sweet & Sour Chicken & Fried Rice which was very tasty but the batter was very oily, a bit like the photo shown on the review page, however I still enjoyed it. My wife went for the Honey Peking Chicken which looked really nice until she tried to cut into the strips of chicken, it was like cutting through rubber, I tried a piece and it was appalling, it was if the chicken had been cooked a while and then added to the sauce. The owner also needs to stick to the guidelines which he has posted all over the shop, which is a maximum of two customers in the shop at any one time, when I went in for my food there was four people standing waiting for their orders, because of this we will look to give them a miss for a while.

This was by far the best meal we have had from this takeaway for a long time. The food was piping hot, well cooked and not a drip of grease from my pancake roll, it was lovely and the rest of the meal was plentiful and enjoyable

The food arrived hot even though the delivery was 6 miles from them The portion size was good i would recommend it if you ring up they will give total cost also it was cash on delivery

not following COVID-19 policy only 2 allowed in shop at anyone time, sign on the wall inside shop, we went tonight it had 5 people in waiting for orders, they would not let us in but would not ask people inside to wait outside for their orders which we have done every time we have gone whilst the restrictions are inplace, customers started mouthing off to us when we were talking to the staff about it from the doorway. Disgracefull attitude of both staff and customers. Well not be returning, we will be going to the 'Lucky Date restaurant' from now.

Got refused entry to order takeaway because shop had 5 people in who had ordered and were waiting for meals. Sign on shop wall said only 2people in the shop at one time but owner would not ask others to wait for their order outside. We used to go here all the time but because of the attitude of both staff and mouthy customers waiting in the shop we willl go else where disappointed and upset about the attitudes so we are going to the ‘Lucky Date’ restaurant from now on.

Back again for another fantastic takeaway meal, all of my family agreed with me and said that they would use the Mystic Garden in the future. Their portion sizes are unbelievable. Well done to the owners and staff.

Just had food from here, absolutely tasteless, abysmal is an understatement,,, won't be going back....

Ordered at 5pm.3 hrs 30 mins later still hadn't arrived. They were dismissive and rude with no excuse except 'we are busy'. If you can't provide a service just tell your customers. It's not rocket science. Obviously no respect. Reason we ordered for delivery was because they had no measures in place to allow for social distancing. Stated "no its just as normal". The place should be shut.

Fabulous King Prawn Foo Yung, Fried Rice and Chips, good value. The Old Lady is adorable and the Woman behind the counter is very helpful. Quick delivery.

Sweet and sour chicken balls were absolutely saturated in oil if u pressed it the oil dropped off they were uneatable and went in the bin the chow mein was again oily and rubbery noodles the curry was oily and tasted rank! The rice was mush and had an odour so didn’t eat and the chips wow like how can you get chips so wrong they were undercooked dry and cold it if I hadn’t driven home I’d of took it back and demanded my money back as the food went I. The bin never ever again!

Me and my partner have just ordered salt and pepper chicken (if that’s what it actually was). “Chicken” was so chewy and rubbery 🤢 £14 went straight in the bin. Sorry but we won’t be back.

Tried this takeaway the other day and got our normal fare of chicken sweetcorn soup, hot and sour soup, salt and pepper chips, salt and pepper chicken and spare ribs. Have to say they'd forgotten to add any flavour... Very bland unfortunately. Maybe they were just looking after our salt intake...:-)

A great selection of chinese cuisine of great quality. The mystic Garden is always busy so, if you can, it is best to get a menu and phone in your order to avoid a wait, (my 5 stars for sevice reflects the friendliness of the staff and even if it takes a while the food is always well worth the wait).

This is the best Chinese in Annan without a doubt. Everything iv tried cooked to top standard. Chicken curry and fried rice is my favourite. Delivery was fast but can be a wait on weekends.

We were in annan at a campsite and were recommended this Chinese for their food . We rang and asked if they could deliver to the campsite which they did . I'm not great fan of Chinese but my partner is so I went along with her idea of having a takeaway.. Well to say it's one of the best Chinese meals I've had is an understatement it was excellent. I had the chicken with black bean sauce and spare ribs . Although it was delivered it was still hot . If we're in the area again I will definitely be eating Chinese again from the Mystic Garden

Called in for a family takeaway again and once again the food was fantastic, my niece and her husband reckoned that it's one of the best they've ever had and we agreed with them. Massive portions and the food was ready waiting when we called to collect and it was piping hot. Best Chinese in Dumfriesshire - Keep up the good work.

It's been a while since we had a Chinese carry-out in Annan and we decided to head for the Mystic Garden last night and we weren't dissapointed. I ordered the meals on the phone and they were ready dead on time, and we weren't dissapointed when it came to quality and taste, they even threw a free bag of Prawn Crackers in with the meal. All three meals were reasonably priced and were worth every penny. We will definitely use this carry-out again in the future.

Always have a meal from here when we holiday up here bit of a wait when we just walk in but this time phoned it through beforehand and it was waiting more up when we arrived there . Always hot and tasty com reasonably priced can't go wrong

One of the local Chinese takeaways, wide range of food generally of a good quality, sometimes a bit of a wait for a takeaway order.

This used to be one of my fav takeaways in Annan however it has gradually gone down hill. Staff are friendly but food is poor. A few weeks ago I had special fried rice and my gravy was watery. Chicken noodle soup was tasteless. I recently took another chance on this place and ordered beef and onion canton (despite last time the beef being chewy) and was again disappointed as my container was only half full this time and tasted like was just the leftovers to make enough to serve a portion. Will not be back to order in a hurry. also delivery times at the weekend are appalling and have waited up to 3 hours for food in the past.

Delicious takeaway, delivery times are on average 90mins tho so would recommend collection unless you order way in advance. But food keeps gets better each time I've been the past few months, new chef perhaps.

Visit here every time we stay at Annan always collect our food never a long wait and food always first class can't go wrong

We always have a takeaway from here whenever we are in the area, but I have just got addicted to the delicious mini spring rolls after trying them last week for the first time. Give them a go, they are delicious.

I often come here for a sit down, friendly staff and quick service. Can't fault the food and would recommend to others but take cash as no cards accepted.

Nuestro arroz hervido era como puré.. pollo era como flem: salsa era insípida, segunda comida era igual de malo... Ambos fuimos directamente en la papelera como preocupado por si la carne estaba hecha... Nunca más peor comida china que me he recordar.

I have used this Chinese for at least 15 years,the food has always been excellent.Usually if we order we pick it up ourselves but after a long Sunday we decided to order at 5:50 p.m thinking we would get a quick delivery.We were wrong.I can understand they are very busy especially on a Sunday but we were told 1 hour delivery time,we phone back after 1 hour 30 minutes to be told it would be another 30 minutes!It came 45 minutes later.Are the walk in drunk punters priority over the sober starving phone orders on a Sunday night?Best Chinese in Annan but pick it up yourself or you will be disappointed,as alot voice the same problem on social media.

Best Chinese in annan. I don't go anywhere else. Our orders are perfect every time. Foods amazing, can't fault it one bit. We have Chinese almost every week. Keep going back, it tastes better and better each time!

We used this takeaway when we decided to stay in the hotel. The food wast very tasty. The special fried rice and curry dishes were delicious. You can have your meals delivered to where you are staying.It was ideal to have your food brought to you. Must have been a bust time as the delivery took well over 90mins.

always enjoy the food from here. never had any reason to complain. the only thing i would say is 1 1/2 to 2 hours for delivery some nights is too long

Ordered a take away with my family and it was a decent meal. The portion sizes are huge! We all got something different so was able to try various dishes. The special chow mein was good, the only problem with it is they caked it with this really thick gravy on top that overpowered it a bit. If you scraped it off it was fine. The special fried rice was nice as well, food cooked perfectly but once again this gravy appeared.The salt and pepper chicken was stunning! By far my favourite dish, really crispy chicken with fried veg in garlic.The lemon chicken was nice, had a nice tang to it which you expect from this kind of dish.All in all a good little place to grab a take away.

Been going to the Mystic Garden for years and never disappointed. Chicken Curry and fried rice my favourite. Best to order over the telephone at weekend because it gets very busy.

myself and the family have frequented this takeaway for many many years, the food has always been first class but as of late the service for delivery is nothing short of abysmal, placing an order at 5 o'clock and told could be up to 2 hours is something we begrudgingly accept but to have to wait nearly 3 hours is totally unacceptable, to sum it up, if using this takeaway then go to the shop and order otherwise avoid at all costs or go hungry!
