Todo sobre mi visita aquí para el brunch fue un desastre, el lugar estaba sucio, el dueño parecía sucio y cuando llegó la comida el plato tenía comida seca pegada a la parte inferior. Casi vomito en mi plato allí mismo.La comida parecía poco hecha y, de hecho, estaba parcialmente cruda. Cuando lo devolví me preguntaron agresivamente por qué no estaba a la altura: no esperas que el propietario murmure "¡algunas personas nunca están contentas" cuando envías obviamente pollo crudo! !Después de haber visto algunas de las otras publicaciones de terror de otros comensales, creo que es seguro decir que no sorprende que se haya cerrado.

fitted out, a bit retro, it looks ok. the are arena the till looks a bit untidy, scruffy with bit n bobs all stacked around.we had a set meal, which was again ok but the first course all appeared a bit thrown together with assorted dishes that all look, and tasted, the same and where a bit non des-script. The second course of spicy chicken with mash wasn't to bad.Can't score any more than average i'm afraid. the service was slap dash and overall not VFM

Das Lokal ist sehr schön und außergewöhnlich eingerichtet, viel größer und stylischer, als man es von außen erwarten würde. Myra bietet eine Vielzahl ein Speisen und Getränken - mittags kann man ein Zwei-Gänge-Menü für 6,90 GBP bekommen. Ich hatte mich für Taramasalta, eine Art Fischpaste, sowie Fallafel entschieden. Beides hat gut gescmeckt und wurde ansprechend serviert. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Yo pop hacia aquí cuando estoy en Southgate y tengo tiempo.En una fecha en que llegué justo después de que se abrió y la atencion fue muy lento. Aunque el dueño era muy hablador yo estaba muy hambriento y de estar embarazada no ayuda con mi impaciencia.Pedí un desayuno vegetariano y croissant. Esperé un buen 30 minutos antes me dieron un menú aunque pedí uno 10 minutos después de sentarse. El croissant tomó algún tiempo, pero valió la pena la espera, ya lo pusieron en el horno y fueron los mejores croissants que he despedazado en mi vida. Eran tan buenos que pedí otro. La mermelada que venía con mermelada de pétalos de rosas fue que nunca he probado y fue el mejor jamón que he comido demasiado. El desayuno también era lenta, pero era muy bonita y también vale la pena la espera.La comida aquí es de una gran calidad, el único inconveniente es que el servicio era lento.La decoración es antigua, pero un aspecto bonito, que dé un paso atrás en el tiempo.

Tuvimos una excelente comida con amigos el sábado por la noche. El menú de precio fijo (9 libras. 90) no se anuncia en su página web y ha sustituido a la carta sin embargo las opciones de platos principales son muy extensas y las entrantes fríos meze y calentar pan estaban muy sabrosos. El servicio era amable y atento, sin embargo, el restaurante era muy tranquila. La decoración es interesante ya que aún conserva las características originales de las paredes con azulejos de cuando era un Sainburys volver en el 60. El pescado era muy bueno y bien presentado. En general fue muy buena relación calidad-precio y se merece más a medida. Sin duda volveremos pronto.

This is our second time visiting Myra Cafe & Brasserie and couldn't ask for a better restaurant ! Food was excellent,service spot on and lovely atmosphere will definitely be coming back again!

Wonderful evening at Myra tonight. Incredible value menu, and the food is fresh and tasty. This place deserves to do well.

My niece was treating me to a birthday brunch and we came across this restaurant. It looked good value for money and food we would enjoy. We had the £6.90 two course menu which was very tasty - the lamb kofte wrap and sea-bass was excellent. Good service and we enjoyed the brunch.

Tienen un gran valor" menú fijo" con una selección de tapas para empezar y luego una amplia variedad de platos principales por solo 10 libras. Tuvimos el falafel y ensalada, una envoltura de falafel y patatas fritas para mi hijo y mi marido tenía un pollo shish con arroz. Todo muy sabroso y bien presentado y regados con un 1/2 de la casa de rosas. el propietario es muy amable y el servicio era para la mayor parte realmente buena, pero se tardaba en llegar la comida y mi principal llegó unos 10 minutos después de los otros, no sé por qué, ya que el restaurante por entonces no estaba muy lleno. Pero no era una oferta importante y volveremos.

Visited on a Saturday evening, and surprisingly the place was quite empty. I have been before for lunch, but the dinner menu for me is better.We (a family of six) ordered the set menu, which involves a round of assorted mezes and a main meal for each person - chosen a la carte. All of this is only £9.99 pp, and is an impressive amount of food for that price.The food is all good quality, very tasty and even managed to impress my Spanish family. The waiter (and I think owner) was very funny and friendly, and the service was well-paced.It would be nice to see more people here supporting their local restaurants.

We had diner last night in a place called Myra cafe & brasserie in Southgate north London , the food was excellent , service was great , staff very friendly and the owner was very professional and a great gentleman , he made us feel very welcome , I would highly recommend it , definitely we will go again .

The service here was very slow. If we hadn't been waiting for friends we would have left after the first ten minutes of being totally ignored. No menus, no drinks, no eye contact. And it wasn't busy. However, when our friends arrived and we ordered, the food was generally good. We had the lunchtime set menu for £6.95 which is exceptional value. We had the usual mix of turkish dips to start then a main. The others all said their mains were very good, but my calamari was a bit rubbery. My advice would be to slice it thinner, then it can cook quicker and not go rubbery, but the chef should know that. Perhaps because it wasn't busy, it was a bit lacking atmosphere. Overall I've had better turkish food.

Had a great saturday lunch here. Service was friendly and food was lovely. The menu isn't extensive but what they do have is lovely. They do a great lunch special a starter and main for less than £8, I had humous with bread for starter and chicken Kofte wrap for main which was incredible filling. I had my favourite turkish dessert Kunefe which was amazing. They do all kinds of freshly squeezed juices to. Can't wait to go back!

Hello everyone I been Myra cafe this weekend I had mix meze starter it was very nice after I had main course lamb tagine it was excellent I highly recommend it good service lovely staff I don't live around but I will definitely come back to enjoy good atmosphere thanks again

Lovely restaurant set in Southgate High street.The menu is quite small with a very varied choice. European style grilled meats or Meze are great, the Calamari is great according to my 14 year old daughter who has this every time!The owner is always on hand to welcome you and with the service which isn't over bearing, they just stand back and let you catch their eye, a good talent to have. We visit frequently with a few beers and a quick meal you'd pay just under £60 for 4 which i think is great and you come away full.

Visited this quaint Turkish restaurant for a family meal and was pleasantly surprised at the great quality of food and fantastic service. For under £10, we had a selection of 5 starters - cacik, hummus, taramasalata, aubergines and lentil patties and a choice of a main course from a vast menu, so plenty to choose from, including kebabs, salads and fish to name a few. Food was tasty and well presented. Also a choice of cocktails at good prices. I will definitely be back!

My wife brought me here for my birthday lunch because she knows how much I love grilled dishes. We had the mix grill dish that was tasty and delicious.

Stopped here and enjoyed Myra's most excellent two course lunch for under £7 per person. Friendly staff, charming decor - a real gem! Delicious Turkish cuisine prepared with care and served with a smile.

Lovely meal for my birthday. Varied menu with meat and fish choices. Meze starters included. Very good value for money.First time we went was for brunch, equally good.Will definitely go again.

Met up with a friend for breakfast and door was wide open despite it being cold. We walked in and service was great - guy at the bar was really friendly and promised to make us nice tea which he did. I ordered a panini with mozzarella which came burnt. I had it sent away and they came back with it underdone and the cheese I bit into was really cold! They should know not to cut it that thick... My salad had frozen leaves but didn't want to complain about that one as I was in a rush. When I sent the panini away for the second time, it was clear they weren't very happy. The bread wasn't even panini/ciabbatta bread this time and just a baguette bread. I just gave up and vowed to myself never to return. Waste of time and money and they clearly don't pride themselves in what they serve....I took a picture of my friend's soggy scrambled eggs which was a disgusting and my baguette disguised as a panini :(.

Stumbled upon Myra whilst out and about in London and as a lover of Turkish food I was immediately pulled in by the great price of the lunch menu.I went for Beef goulash which was superb and my partner went for the chicken wrap which was even better!This along with two alcoholic drinks came to under £25, Money very well spent.

Original tiles on the wall (got mum reminiscing) atmosphere is just perfect, lights to the music. Food is really tasty and meat is so tender. Wine list is reasonable and al the staff are so happy to accommodate. 3rd time there and will be returning again! Amazing value for money!

We love coming to Myra, the food is always so good, portion sizes are generous, the service is so warm and friendly. The owner/ manager is a charming gentleman; his children help out in the restaurant too and are lovely. The desserts are great; I strongly recommend you ask for their made to order kunefe. It's heaven on a plate. Myra also offers free live jazz evenings at the weekends, great value set lunch menus during the week, lovely mezes for dinner, and now they also do an excellent brunch buffet on Sunday's - prices are currently £10 a head, for an unlimited eat as much as you want buffet, with free tea too. The brunch buffet is superb value for money; there's a good selection of items, all high quality and constantly replenished. They also offer eggs, cooked to order and delivered to the table. Have posted some pics I took of the brunch buffet, so you can see for yourself. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Went for lunch with a friend and was really impressed. For £6.90 each we had taramasalata and cacik with a basket of bread. Followed by chicken for my friend and a lovely sea bass served on a creamy mashed potato with a lovely spinach with walnuts in. They were more than happy to adapt the set meal to my friends dietary requirements.The food was beautifully served and tasted really good. The highlight for me was the dessert kunefe which I hadn't had before. It was melt in the mouth buttery and sweet without being sickly. The staff were very friendly and we were able to sit chatting for most of the afternoon without feeling rushed. Will definitely go again.

I went today with a friend to have lunch in Myra. I was a little skeptical as most times I would pass this place in the evenings find it empty. I should not have worried. I had a great lunch in pleasant surroundings. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We went for the 6.90 lunch and it was really good. You get a choice of dip starter with fresh bread and a well portioned, not too big or small main course. The menu I am told changes regularly. I will definitely be going back.

I went to Myra restaurant today for lunch with a friend. We opted for two course lunch at £6.90 per head. Portion sizes were normal (not reduced in size like most other places). We each had a dip starter which came with fresh Turkish flat bread and we were given extra bread on demand. Main courses were freshly cooked and beautifully presented on a wooden board. We were full but decided to look at the dessert menu and shared the Kunefe dessert......sweet, warm and unusual but melt in the mouth! Myra certainly saved the best until last.......heaven on a plate....go there and try it out. Friendly staff, great service, good food and a really warm and welcoming manager. Superb....

Our first time in Myra we decided to have the 2 course lunch. The restaurant was really quite so the service was quick and friendly. I had vegetarian stew and my husband ordered grilled chicken. Our main course was delicious the only criticism is that the first course is not really "course": we had pita bread with hummus which usually complimentary snacks in any other Turkish/meditarrean restaurant. We will return.

The food and service and Myra is second to none. Set menu is extremely good value and each time I visit I know I will return. We were a party of 25 a mixture of adults and children. All of us enjoyed the dishes.Can't wait to return again

This restaurant was highly recommended to me by a friend and so I went. It was a Saturday night and they had an amazing jazz band playing. The restaurant had a lot of character with its decor which was nice it made it homely. The food kept coming and just kept getting better with every bite. Great food and at a very reasonable price. The couple which own the restaurant were so hospitable and welcoming I felt like they were my own family. Best evening I had in a long time - in fact I've booked to go there again tomorrow night and I can't wait! Xenoulla

Ive got to say, this is a lovely looking restaurant, i went with my girlfriend and we loved it. we was very well looked after and the food was delicious, this is the place to go in southgate, we will defiantly recommend it.

My husband and I stumbled on Myra Cafe unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon. We spotted the set lunch menu so thought we would give it a try. The restaurant is beautifully decorated - kind of like a French style cafe - and we were given a very warm welcome from the owners. We settled for the set menu, houmous and cacik starters with lovely warm bread. I had the lamb kofte wrap and my husband the chicken skewers. Both were delicious, the chicken was especially nice. There was plenty of food, you won't go hungry and all for £6.90. Very welcoming, good quality food and portions at a fantastic price. We will be back!!

What can I say, we celebrated my mums birthday here in Southgate. The restaurant wouldn't be out of place in soho. Everybody enjoyed their food, I had an excellent grilled lamb, meat was perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. So glad to have it as a local the service is also great, the wine was excellent and matched the food very well.

We dined prior to going to a local show, what a friendly & helpful manager & staff, one guest required a low sugar beer which on ordering was out of stock, however within 10 minutes stock appeared in a well known stores carrier bag & was served. That's service! By the way, the food lived up to expectations too, great Mediterranean.

We have been here four times since it opened, the first time on a whim but have been back 3 more time since because it is so good. They have an excellent value menu for about.£10 that has mixed hot starters and then a main.The mains come with very tasty spiced rice, and a nice pepper, mushroom and grilled tomato, it is all beautifully presented on a cutting board and beautifully cooked. The chicken skewer is very moist and full of flavour, better than the other local places for sure. The adana-kebab is also very tasty.The décor is nice, this site has always had nice tiling and they have made a good job of creating a good ambience.We are going back tonight!

We've been there 2 times for breakfast and dinner. Both was absolutely delicious.. They have good quality turkish bagel for breakfast which is very difficult to find in London. We were very pleased with quality and quantity. The prices are very reasonable for top quality outstanding foods. Owner is very professional and friendly... Definitely will go again and try cocktails..

Went for a late lunch with my father. The food was exquisite and exudes quality. We ordered vegetarian dishes and I must say the flavours were exceptional. Well done.

I visit this part of London often and always pay them a visit for coffee and lunch. The 2 course lunch is £6.90 with a very nice choice of dishes, all very well presented and made although one evening I went for dinner and had the black cod which was amazing, I couldn't tell the difference to the black cod in Nobu London or Dubai! Newly opened, the serivce is excellent, very personable and worth a visit if you are in the area.

Went in for a quick lunch. Had a set lunch which was 6.90. I had taramasalata and my wife had lentil patties as starters which was served with bread. For mains I had lamb kofte which came with bulgur wheat and grilled vegetables and chilli sauce. My wife had falafel wrap which came with chips. Everything was spot on. We told them we were in a rush and food came at time we needed. Service excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Great set lunch at good value for money for both food and alcohol, better than the competition Kervan.The starters were great portion sizes with lots of flavour. The service made it stand out and the owner Oz was amazing.

Didn't realise that the restaurant had opened but was very pleased with our experience. A varied menu , fresh food and value for money made for an enjoyable first visit. We will definitely be returning.

We chanced upon Myra Cafe & Brasserie in Southgate as the Malaysian restaurant we were planning to meet a friend for dinner at, turned out to be closed on a Monday night. We were greeted warmly by the owner, seated straightaway and given a chance to peruse the menus. Myra Cafe & Brasserie sits on the site of what used to be an Italian restaurant. The decor is clean and modern. We were not sure what to expect when we looked at the menu; it seemed to be modern Turkish with a slant towards European Cuisine. We opted for the Meat Meze for 3 people, it turned out to be an excellent choice with a large selection of cold and hot meze plates served with fresh warm bread that was replenished upon request. What followed was the main meat platter, which had every kind of meat you would expect, served with a side salad/ salsa and rice. There was a lot of food, all beautifully cooked and served. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. We were too full for coffee/ desserts, and were pleasantly surprised to be served some complimentary liqueurs and Turkish delight along with the bill. Service was warm, personable and friendly without being intrusive. They were even happy to wrap up the leftovers for me to take home to feed the foxes in our back garden. Would we recommend and would we return? Yes, definitely. The prices are very reasonable bearing in mind the quantity and quality of the food you get. The service is excellent. We must try the desserts and cocktails next time.

We dined at Myra yesterday evening. Being a new local restaurant with an appealing look and interesting menu we were excited to try it. The restaurant is charming, well laid out and decorated making you feel like you are on a Greek/Turkish holiday. The menu is full of choice with some familiar and many unfamiliar dishes to choose from. The food was very tasty and well presented, hot and quick to come out. The wine we selected was also very good. Service was excellent - although the restaurant was not busy (being a Tuesday night) the staff were attentive but not imposing. The manager/owner was an absolute gentleman and clearly took pride in his establishment. We even received a free aperitif and glass of champaign to finish. Only negative, and it's hard to find one, is they don't accept Amex. Very highly recommended and would be happy to visit again.

It's a very new restaurant in Southgate. Visited them for second time and they we're great. Food is fantastic and staffs are friendly
