Love this place and come often, the food is always amazing, the service is great and lovely Jamaican music playing.

What a fantastic place. The Food was amazing. The service good and professional. Didn't have to wait long and well worth the visit. Definitely going again.

Was disappointing. Food was cooker nicely but lacking and Caribbean flavours.

Really average veggie food - could hear the microwave going and the creole vegetables tasted like tinned pasta sauce :( Sides and roti were decent but not very well presented.

Lovely staff. They were very patient with our noisy kids. Food was absolutely delicious and also great selection of nicely priced wines.

They make a seriously delicious Creole fish stew here. I think it was only 18 pounds and you get fresh and juicy seafood paired with the richest tomato broth. Came here on a weekday so there was only one waitress but she was kind and helpful throughout the lunch. I’m honestly surprised by how quiet it was, given the high quality of food and affordable menu.

We went for lunch and it was incredibly good food, great service and all in all with the soft reggae vibes and people happily chatting with friends this is certainly the place to lime. ❤️😊🇧🇧

It was a Wake and everything in Mullins was fantastic The food and hygiene was marvellous. Staff very good and helpful. I'm sure that everyone was more than satisfied.

Amazing all round we had a party of 20 and everything was perfect .

Popped in on a staurday lunchtime and managed to get a table. I had the penne with jerk sausage and chicken and my partner had the jerk chicken with rice and peas. We also shared some sweetcorn fritters. The food was delicious, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful evening at Mullins. From the time I phoned George to book a table for ten, right up to the end of our dinner was fabulous. Nothing was too much effort for the staff - we wanted a square table and thats what they gave us. They went out of their way to put our decorations up. The food was excellent and exceeded our expectations! Thank you George, the chef and all the staff - we will definitely be back!!!

Great food, great service, great rum selection. If you want quality food that's a bit different then I strongly recommend this place based on my recent visit.

Amazing food. Had generous portions which was great. We went for our wedding anniversary and it was excellent. The cocktails are very good too. The atmosphere inside is warm and the staff were lovely. Definitely recommend.

Rude staff, the restaurant was empty but they turned us away because we were a family it felt.

Great tasting meal with good service and prices. Not many people in, but still a good visit.

Went in for the Carribean night (5 courses!). The sardines were great (me and my partner do like fresh fish). The jerk sausage and mash was good but personally would have liked a bit more heat. The boozy pineapple+ ice cream we could really have done with a fork rather than chase it all around the plate. Overall good value and good food.

Went here for a late lunch at 2:00. Yummy ital stew and the curried chickpeas with pitta were great. The vegetable roti was also good but considering it's literally a veggie wrap with fries and salad, £12 for that is too much! Only complaint is that our waitress was very disinterested and acted like she didn't want to be there.

I had such high hopes from the Google photos. So over priced! But when you look the ones that come up are they all very old. The staff were lovely. So polite and helpful. The food was very basic confused Caribbean. Lots of chips. £19 a main course. Definitely not worth that.

I happened to find this place by accident and myself and my friends were just here for the seaside trip and am so happy to visit this restaurant,. The Owner is pleasant the staff are very welcoming and friendly,. Would recommend my friends and family and suture to return again.

Hands down best authentic Caribbean restaurant I have been to. Service and food was outstanding. I have been to a few Caribbean restaurants but Mullins is by far best we’ve had. We were staying nearby and decided on our last night to give it a try. We made the right choice. Love how the restaurant has been organised. Great location and very friendly staff. If you are looking for a superb example of great Caribbean cuisine this is it. I had the Chicken Roti whilst my wife and youngest had the curry goat and eldest had Jerk chicken. Portion size was perfect. We were all very happy. 3 of us had the ginger sponge whilst eldest had vanilla cheese cake. Again outstanding. Me and wife both agreed a two hour drive from where we live to visit Mullins again would absolutely be worth it. Expect us back again soon!

A nice restaurant. The mocktails are very tasty. You have to have a lot of patience if you want to order a second drink. Unfortunately, the food is only average and the clearing service is unprofessional.

Banging curried goat peas & rice

One of my favourite places to go for a beautiful tasty relaxed meal with the hubby and friends.

As a party of 5 people who all chose a different dish, we all found the food lovely and the service exceptional. The waitress was very helpful in ensuring that we all got home safely when let down by the cab company who should have collected us. Many thanks.

Delicious meal and friendly service! We started with the Bajan fishcakes and Ackee and Saltfish, and then followed with Jerk Chicken, rice and plantain and Curried Goat, rice and peas - the mains were especially tasty!! Would recommend the restaurant if you are looking for something with spice and colour, and a bit different!

We had high hopes for authentic Caribbean food, but what came was far from it. The chicken roti was misleading. Chicken was dry and there was no curry sauce. Meanwhile, the 'roti' it came in was an El Paso tortilla wrap. As someone who is from the Caribbean, calling it a roti is genuinely disrespectful. If I knew it was going to come in a tortilla wrap, I wouldn't have ordered it. The jerk chicken was dry and unseasoned, except for the packet mix pasted on top. We thought better than staying for dessert. The waiting staff were lovely and we're sure the kitchen staff are too, but this Caribbean food is probably only passable if you have never had it before. Unfortunately bland and tame.

Staff polite… Food mediocre for Caribbean... Mediocre environment…. Asked for an extra coleslaw as one come already with the meal… was given one small pot and told it was 2two sets of coleslaw all in one… not so good for the prices you are paying for food.

as usual super food spoiled by being told that at just over an hour they needed our table for some walk ins even though we had booked in advance and changed our prefered dining time to suit them, maybe they should warn customers that the table time is restricted before taking a booking We will not be back, we dont want to go where we are not welcome

Lovely place. Restaurant is warm and clean. Food was delicious and not overpriced. I can recommend the curry goat with the rice and peas. Ginger cake was moist, plentiful and moreish. Service was good too. Reggae music playing quietly in background. Will definitely be back

Went here for lunch for the first time this weekend. Food was fantastic, and the restaurant has nice aesthetic. Will be going back and would definitely recommend.

The food was good and the staff were very patient with us. Would recommend trying the fish goujons, they were excellent. Cocktails were nice too.

Went with a group of friends. Hadn't booked but they did a table for 10 as a walk in. Hadn't really known what we were expecting but, it was so good! To recommend: Ackee and salt fish (comforting, warm and moorish) Chicken roti - the curry inside the wrap was so yummy! Cocktails - really nice selection of interesting mixes. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Relaxed vibe with reggae playing in the background. Given freebie warm bread and balsamic vinegar dip while we waited for our mains. My jerk chicken was generous and tender, and my partner enjoyed her veggie curry. Book, as it is popular.

I don't think I have ever visited somewhere where you can have such value for money fine dining and also get to listen to Sean Paul for the majority of the meal! Wholeheartedly the best idea for an anniversary dinner yet. The food was so delicious, the drinks were great and we felt well accommodated and generally just happy to be there.

We visited Margate for a week and eat at Mullins twice. It was excellent both times. Food was great, as was the service. Prices were very reasonable and they played great tunes too. We will be back there as soon as we visit Margate again!

It was 1pm when I walked past Mullins brasserie not planning to go in to eat but to just use the loo. Once I entered the restaurant I was greeted with such a kind lady with the widest smile and the sound of the Kingston army song gently playing ambiently. It made me feel warm and close to my home away from home. I was just drawn to look at the menu to see all the food I had when my Jamaican grandpa used to feed me when I was younger. So I had to give it a try! I felt it would be wrong of me to not have a cocktail with a Barbadian rum. Which I had not experienced in such a long time. The lovely lady which I previously was greeted by helped with which cocktail to have from the wide selection from the menu and the one she helped me choose was to die for so refreshing and not overpowering. It was perfect!! I went and ordered Ackee and saltfish with a side order Fried plantain. It was so beautifully presented on the plate and It got me so excited it was a blast from the past with every bite. The nutty taste of the lobes of ackee was complemented perfectly with the sharp salinity and firm texture of salt cod. The plantain was sweet but savoury. Such a wonderful combination with the main dish. I then finished up with a dessert which had to be the raspberry cheesecake once again it was presented like some Jamaican art. It tasted as good as it looked. I felt every bit of money spent on the great experience was worth while maybe even worth more. Mullins Brasserie was a beautiful Jamaican pearl sat in the middle of Margate old town. I felt so relaxed and I believe everyone should experience this experience local or tourist. I would also like say great thanks to the waitress (elize) for her hospitality she did the business very proud will be coming again very soon.

Nice restaurant, jerk chicken was lovely. Fish and chips had the best batter my wife has tasted, just let down by the chips which were a little soggy.

Before I forget I wanted to leave a review of this wonderful place. I had the jerk chicken, with plantains rice and chicken gravy. It was so delicious! I highly recomend this place. And the price was really good too.

Only visiting town for a few days but had a lovely Caribbean meal in this restaurant. It had all the atmosphere without being over the top. Would love to go to one of their Caribbean evenings. Hope to be able to return soon.

Absolutely 0 love or effort goes into the food. Really really poor, and very un authentic, don’t get trapped like me and the misses did. Completely terrible.

What a fantastic restaurant! Polite, attentive staff, nice setting, mellow Caribbean music, great menu variety (with vegans/vegetarians well catered for) and very tasty food. My 11th wedding anniversary meal, and the best meal in ages. Thanks Mullins, we will definitely return!

A promising menu but a cuisine that clearly lacks refinements. The cooking is well controlled but the dishes lack preparation and finishing. Either too salty or not enough. Chilli but no spices. A pleasant room and attentive service however.

Would highly recommend! Food excellent and brilliant value for money. I would especially recommend the chicken roti. The staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

During our trip to Margate we came across what seemed to be a gem! A Bajan restaurant offering good food with good reviews. However it wasn't that. Waiting for our bread and olives for over 30mins and our only single course meal for over an hour it was starting to get rediculous. We were left for ages and there wasn't really any service. Even the waitress that ended up helping us at the end agreed and said they were for a better word in a pickle. The curry goat was extremely bland and for the money unfortunately sub par. However the jerk chicken even though simple was good but would be better with thighs than breast in my personal opinion dry to the dryness and minimal uptake in flavour. The best dish by far was the Jerk chicken and mango salad, great balance, taste and overall palate experience. The drinks were well poor, the cocktail was extremely poor with minimal form of ice cubes, not well refined and the coca cola I got was, well ... Flat even though it was straight out of a glass bottle id have assumed considering I had the glass bottle. After all this I was told I couldn't remove the service charge due to having a table of six although wasn't told this in the begining or anything and therefore shouldn't have to pay it based on well receiving no service, food that was well over the hour mark for a single course. I felt bad for the waitress trying to help us as it seemed as if she had no help to offer and no guidance or support in order to assist with our displeasure. This was meant to be the family meal out but ended with poor service and a bitter taste. Hopefully these issues can be rectified and aren't a recurring issue as I'm sure this restaurant has much more potential than we saw but unfortunately we will not be returning.

Very attentive and welcoming staff, not too long a wait for the food to arrive, which arrived on very hot plates. The curry goat resembled and tasted like beef stew, mac and cheese was mediocre, plantain was tasty, but the portion was ridiculously small, vegetable curry was tasty, bajan fish fritter was wonderful, coleslaw was hardly worth putting into the tiny pot that it arrived in, doubt it was homemade!

What a wonderful place! Taste of the Caribbean. Tucked behind the museum away from the angry crowds right on the front. Great service, food and drink. One good reason ( maybe the only one) for going to Margate. Ackee and salt cod, Jerk chicken with rice and peas (and chicken gravy to die for), Mac ‘n cheese, Sweetcorn fritters. I wanted to eat the whole menu. Great choice of drinks. Inside is very comfortable and a few small tables outside. Don’t go to Margate…( without going here)

We came here on our trip to Margate because of all the great reviews we’d seen, but unfortunately I was quite disappointed. The starter took 51 minutes to arrive, and the mains took 33 additional minutes after that. By the end of my wait I was very hungry and disgruntled. It probably didn’t help that when the food finally arrived, the waiter threw my cutlery onto the table and didn’t apologise. The jerk chicken I ordered was decent but pretty basic. The seafood pasta was even more basic, and the texture of the shrimp in it was mushy and not nice at all. Drinks were also very basic, felt like I could make better at home… I wouldn’t waste time and money here again.

Was quite disappointed to be honest we arrived for 6pm and staff hadn't arrived. So my girlfriend and I went to the pub for a drink, before coming back. The waiter was nice but his manager was not accommodating, as when asking to move table she was not having it. No client's came in after we sat down for another hour !! So she could have easily looked after us and changed our table. The general service was bland. As for the food we felt it suited the local demographic and was not authentic Caribbean. We also felt that the produce used was not of a high standard. My girlfriend who is Guyanese can cook a better Caribbean meal. When going out we have expectations and in all honesty we want to feel satisfied, which we weren't, a great saying is you can always tell when food is made with love. We were excited about the macaroni cheese which was supposedly made by Bajan chef but was disappointed by one which tasted like it was made form a packet, especially as Bajans are known for making excellent Macaroni pie!! Generous portion sizes but uninspiring food. Fritters were crispy but not cooked through so under cooked on the inside. Salad with my burger was dressed with a lazy dressing what tasted like it was made by an amateur!!

We popped to Margate to visit theTurner had lunch at this amazing find! We had pasta dish and a burger both delicious. Pudding equally yummy a ginger pudding and a cheese cake all food was a delight and well made. Washed down with a floral white wine and Gadds bitter. The staff were very welcoming and we Will return.

What a great place. Antonio and his friendly team provide some absolutely astonishing dishes, a good selection of wine and, naturally, a remarkable selection of rum. One of us had the goat curry the other the blackened swordfish, although would have gladly chosen pretty much any of the dishes. Good wine, great service, great value and rounded off with some fine rum... perfect. Highly recommended! Go try it.

This restaurant is wonderful , the food is amazing and full of flavour with very good portions. What a gem in a little old town. I must say the staff that served us were very polite and took a true interest in us even though they were rushed off their feet. Booking is essential as it gets busy as the night goes on and many were sadly turned away. Thank you 😊 Will definitely return when I’m back in Margate. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
