We stopped for lunch and when I saw someone eating the Victoria Sponge cake I decided to order a smaller main so I could try the cake! I ordered tea and it was served with a beautiful silver teapot. As we sat upstairs in the very old timber-framed building looking out the window I felt I could be in Cranford! Service is excellent. Food yummy.

Queen Victoria

28/02/2019: Four of us went on Tuesday night for my husbands birthday meal. The food was excellent - hubbie particularly enjoyed his 6 nations pie - and there is plenty of choice in both food and wine. Service was friendly and attentive and the woodburner adds to the cosy feel.

Rubino Kitchen

02/04/2019: Great food, really five star dining. Its a bit out of the way but loads of parking off road. Very interesting menu.
06/08/2019: My wife and I live local to the venue and tried it on a Saturday night. We checked the menu before arrival and knew it was quite small - but we liked the dishes. The welcome was very warm. The service was excellent and definately a highlight from all involved. The food was cooked, and presented, very well. Maybe a little more cheese on that course would have been nice but the cheese was excellent. The inbetween-courses food was a lovely touch and excellent. It is quite a cozy venue - maybe 16-20 covers maximum inside - so you do tend to get distracted hearing others conversations; but part of the fun. My wife loved it, and I thought it was very good. With a couple of glasses of wine (A nice Sauvignon Blanc and a lovely Shiraz), 3 courses + tea and coffee came to around £90. So good value and an enjoyable night. The menu changes every month and we will return.
