Absolutely amazing roast! Visited on a Sunday after seeing great roast reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Very generous portions (took me an hour to finish)! Comes with all the trimmings and was great. Staff were so friendly, will definitely go back when in the area and would highly recommend

Ordered a few different drinks but all tasted disgusting, takes alot time to get your orders and prepare your drinks. Do not recommend

Arrived and checked in we waited 1.5 hours for a coffee and 1/2 a cider multiple other larger groups came in after and were served and delivered drinks way before us totally out of order we won’t be returning. They also tried to charged us for a pint when we only ordered 1/2 shoddy service and won’t be back

Cocktails were mediocre and small- service was terrible and the staff were unwelcoming. Toilets were covered in urine and our table was uncomfortable. Food was great however! Very strict with bookings which doesn’t allow for flexibility or staying longer than allotted slot.

Food was great but management is not. Very rude made me feel unwanted as a customer, not sure how he’s got so far in hospitality.

Absolutamente impresionado por la comida que mi esposa y yo comimos el domingo pasado en Brighton. Tuve la carne que estaba deliciosa, los adornos eran de primera categoría, al igual que el "Coliflor Pop", que era nuevo para mí, pero algo que definitivamente querría probar en casa. Mi esposa tenía la opción vegetariana, que yo tenía un pequeño bocado que también era muy sabroso. Todo rematado con un gran servicio del joven llamado Jack (creo). Bien hecho quien esté a cargo y tienes un chef con mucho talento. No puedo esperar para regresar.

Mi esposo y yo llevamos a nuestro hijo de 2 años a la Sra. Fitzherbets para un almuerzo de domingo y quedamos impresionados. ¡Lo describiría como un toque moderno en un asado tradicional! De hecho, tuve la opción vegetariana, que era un pastel de hojaldre filo con queso feta y calabaza, ¡fue excepcional! ¡Mi hijo también comió montones que normalmente no haría con un asado! Toda la experiencia fue realmente encantadora y sin duda lo recomendaría para el almuerzo y la cena. ¡No puedo esperar a regresar!

Visité justo cuando estaban abriendo este fin de semana y quedé impresionado. El menú de cócteles era perfecto: dos por uno y una buena selección. Puedo recomendar las picaduras de perros calientes y las costillas de maíz. Buena selección vegana también. Nuestro camarero fue atento pero no agobiante, muy amable y agradable a la vista. Volveré.

Teniendo en cuenta la situación actual con respecto a Covid y las nuevas medidas de servicio, no puedo quejarme del servicio del personal aquí: amable, disponible y tranquilizador. Es una pena que no todos los clientes se acerquen al sector de la hostelería con paciencia y aprecio en este momento.Nuestro principal motivo de visita fue reunirnos para tomar unas copas (¡que siempre son un verdadero placer!), pero también decidimos en esta ocasión pedir una buena selección de la carta. A menudo no pienso mucho en la "comida de bar", pero este era el siguiente nivel, el katsu era sabroso y agradable, el trío de papas fritas era súper sabroso, una ganga absoluta para el tamaño de la porción, y mi favorito personal: ¡las gambas de paleta eran hermosas! los precios son más que razonables, especialmente junto con porciones generosas.Definitivamente volveré a visitarnos pronto, ¡e instamos a otros a que lo hagan!

mi amigo y yo lo pasamos muy bien con la señora. fitzherbert's: hemos venido aquí por un tiempo, pero desde que cambiaron el menú, ¡realmente han mejorado sus estándares de comida! una buena selección de fusión asiática y porciones realmente generosas. ¡las patatas fritas katsu son perfectas para compartir o burlarte solo y de nuevo porciones realmente grandes! mi favorito fue probablemente las croquetas japonesas; lo bueno de todo es que no es demasiado picante pero tiene un sabor muy bueno, y todos los platos pequeños se complementan en sabor. Definitivamente lo recomendaría si estás con amigos o en pareja, ¡un gran ambiente también! felicitaciones al chef charlie!

We walked past this place during the day and decided to book a table as the vegan menu looked great and it had gluten free options too. The man seemed shocked that we were asking to book a table and almost didn't know what to do. We found this funny but should've seen it as the first red flag.We arrived for our table at 7.30 and weren't given any information on how to order or anything about the menus. We weren't even taken to our table, the man just glanced around and pointed at a table that was free in the far corner. We got there and found that it was reserved, but not for us. The tables were not socially distanced in the slightest, I was sat almost back to back with another man and two women from a different group (of more than 6 people) decided to stand next to us and lean their drinks on our table. No staff told them to sit down.There was a drinks menu on the table but no food menu so we had to look it up online. We then sat there for twenty minutes waiting for someone to come and take our order, the same man then eventually came. He took our order and left the table, he then came back and said he needed to see our ID's in order to eat on the property after 8pm.This is completely understandable however had it not taken so long for him to take our order in the first place this would not have been an issue. I then walked home and back to get my ID (this is a 30 minute round trip) My friend who I was with spent that entire time trying to get his attention to order a drink. This was by far the slowest service I have ever experienced. And I was back before her drink even made it to our table. After that he put our food order back in and it came in about fifteen minutes. However the waiter that brought our food put the food down and said he'd be right back with our cutlery. We waited ten minutes before getting up (we didn't want to break social distancing rules) and asking where our cutlery was. In this time the food went cold. My friends food was decent for the price however the gluten free options were absolutely terrible. I have never left food uneaten at a restaurant before but the 'superfood bowl' was purely just rice and raw onion and the 'corn ribs' were one corn on the cob split into four with a little bit of bbq sauce squirted on. This is honestly the worst place I have come across in Brighton.The only positive was that we paid for our food and drinks at the time of ordering otherwise I cannot imagine how long it would've taken them to bring us the bill too.

Overpriced, appalling service (waited a minimum of 15 minutes per drink, often up to 20) and the drinks themselves weren’t great. The cocktails were watery and didn’t taste remotely like they were supposed to—the first ‘piña colada’ I had that had a slice of orange in it. I would not recommend this place at all.

Generous and tasty Sunday lunch with a good choice of meats. Our only problem was comfort. See pics for a hint at our issue. Bright ever-changing neon lighting at eye level next to our table was unpleasant and headache inducing. The table was also very narrow - not wide enough for two dining plates opposite each other - we had to stagger them. The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable. Those unlucky of us to get the chairs facing the neon lights were glad to get out of the place. Shame, otherwise a fine establishment.

Ate tasty Japanese street food here in the sunshine outside . Vegan and chicken options available . Food excellent value for money and freshly cooked to order . Lovely vibe sitting outside watching world go by . Fabulous service from very friendly staff .

Visit with my family for a Sunday roast. Excellent food and friendly staff. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Me and my partner went for a cocktail yesterday and this used to be one of our favourite pubs, so we were looking forward to getting back there after lockdown. The new outside area looks really good but unfortunately from the moment we arrived, staff were rude and legit couldn’t care less about their job. As we sat down, we waited a very long time before a waiter noticed we still hadn’t been asked if we would like a drink. We ordered two cocktails each as we figured it would properly take a long time to arrive too and would save us having to wait to order a second drink. Our drinks did take a very long time and we saw a waiter walk out with what we had ordered but he walked past us, spoke to somebody else and then placed the drinks on a random table far away from us. We were confused so figured maybe they were for somebody else, after a while I went inside to ask where our drinks were, the guy said he couldn’t help me... so I went to the guy that took our order and he didn’t have a clue where our drinks were. I pointed at them on the random table and said I think that’s ours but of course they had been sat there for ages, during Covid safety rules at the moment it wasn’t very reassuring that nobody else had touched them. We then noticed the staff member that had put our drinks at that table and walked off, had just finished his shift and left. Absolutely zero care for customers, and he just wanted to rush off. We got replacement drinks after I asked politely for them, as the cocktails were no longer fresh. It was all very unprofessional and we obviously didn’t want to stay after all that. I work in hospitality also, and their attitudes towards their jobs and customers was just rubbish.

Excellent food, excellent service, we had the Family sharing roast , the beef was spot on, potatoes crispy, stuffing divine, caulipops a delicious addition. We went as a family of 4 and 1 dog, we had 1 dessert then ordered another because it was so tasty, only downside was we took a growing teenager who ate VERY well, so when we come back I am not sharing.Thank you, we came with high hopes and those hopes were exceeded

Came here with a few friends and two dogs. Service was good and the food amazing. I had the Lamb Shank and the meat just fell off the bone, delicious mixture of vegetables all served on a big plate with a big yorkshire pudding. My friend had the chicken which looked good too. One of the best roasts i've had, will come back and order the sharing platter next time

Went for a friend's engagement party in the upstairs bar area, the decor is beautiful and finished to a really high standard. I had a gorgeous espresso martini, definitely recommend

I had the best time at this venue on my 21st birthday. The top floor is such a great place and all the staff were so lovely. Food and cocktails were amazing! Would’ve like to have had some sort of security stopping people from coming up as I had to personally tell strangers to leave the party. But that’s the only negative thing I could say other than that was a great night!!

Wow !! Just had an amazing roast dinner with my husband. I tried the veggie option and my husband had roast beef. Beautifully cooked vegetables, gorgeous roasties and loved the cauli pop , homemade Yorkshire puddings too. The whole meal was a delight and reasonable priced. Very welcoming staff as well, will definitely go back , can’t wait to try the puddings but too full up. 10/10

Had the best roast I’ve had in ages here , food was amazing the colipops were really tasty, George the manager gave us great service , nothing was too much trouble . Will be coming back regularly

Early Sunday evening in Brighton...outside seats with heaters watching world go by, great drinks including decent price local cask beers, interesting other drinks including an odd apple one......staff couldnt be more helpful...

I organised a last minute Roast with 12 friends on Sunday and decided to book a table at the Fitzherberts after reading a couple a great reviews on the Sunday Roast club on Facebook. They put us all on a long candlelit table and it was lovely to arrive and have the table all set up nicely. We had a waiter coming over regularly to ask if we needed drinks or anything and cleared empties which was so nice.

I hadn’t been here for food for a while and I had never had a roast dinner here before either! Well... I was very impressed - the roasts were great, lots of veg and tender stem broccoli. The meat was great and very good quality. We had some expresso martinis and a few bottles of fizz! There was live music and a great atmosphere. Great staff who couldn’t do enough! I love the decor in this place too! We were a group of 12 so not easy to cater for - but we didn’t have one grumble! Thanks again guys we will be back!

Was starving after a long shopping trip with my sister, were busy but fitted us in I had the roast pork my sister had the beef, both delicious. Cooked to perfection, lovely potatoes. Great service and nice atmosphere

Came to Brighton for a family holiday and found this gem! The cocktails were amazing and the loaded fries and nachos were yummy. The staff here are really friendly, we were served by Hannah and George and they made us great cocktails. We loved the service and the food so much, that we came back before we left to London. Hannah and George made us feel very welcome and it was great value for money!!

The reservation itself went smoothly we reserved the upstairs terrace in full for 20 people. I was really looking forward to the night.

Big plus was the outside tables in the sun, that’s about it as positive comments go. Cocktail menu but no tequila! Monitoring was a fake mixture, not freshly made. Ordered a hot dog which was just a regular sausage in a hot dog roll. Wish we’d tried one of the other close by places .

The interior looks really cool and the drinks we had were nice but the person who served us seemed like he could not be bothered, has put me off returning here again.

We booked the outdoor space through Brighton music hall. They reserved the whole of the upstairs for us to throw the surprise party, and when then the surprise part was done we moved into the outdoor smoking area.

We hired the upstairs of fitzherberts Brighton last weekend for my husbands 40th birthday party. The venue is fab and location in central Brighton perfect. Doesn’t require any decoration and is just the right size for a party. Not too big , not too small.

Had my 40th birthday celebrations upstairs a the Mrs Fitzherberts. Intimate venue that could accommodate the 45 people comfortably. The bar staff were fantastic and friendly, especially Josh who went out of his way to make sure all was well on the evening. Definitely worth considering if anyone is thinking about a 'get together' of similar numbers.

A few months ago I decided to take some colleagues out for lunch. We came to The Fitz as it's fondly called and ordered our meal. We sat outside as it was a nice day.

Second time visiting, great prices for a lunchtime meal, would love to go back with a bigger group to share several dishes! Got served our food really quickly and it was delicious!

If you drink and like to have good time with friends in Brighton, this is one of the hob places to go which is located on New Road.

Always a busy spot when you pass by, we got here in time for happy hour - 2 cocktails the same for £10, passionfruit martinis - yum! Great staff, and an unusual décor inside.

If its all about "location. location, location" then this place wins hands down against its down-right funky adversaries already. Right next door to the Mash Tun and very near to a veritable treasure trove of other amazing bars Fitzherberts has it made. Just feed it and watch it grow :-) xoxoxoxox

I stopped by a few times to unwind from shopping and stroĺling. Nice tap selection, good local atmosphere and live music at night. Patio is heated which was a lovely touch coming from drizzly London. I'm currèntly enjoying their top notch free Wi-Fi!

I had a leaving party here yesterday and the upstairs space was fantastic, and perfect for the size of my group, which got up to around 35 at one point. There is a lovely heated outdoor roof terrace with wood burner, but unfortunately had to close over the roof due to the rain. We were still able to use the space though. Great.

The title says it all. The bar staff preferred to serve regulars rather than general members of the public. When I spoke up for a lady in the queue in front of me the bar staff laughed. Arrogant attitude. Hopefully they’ll read this but will probably laugh. Give it a miss. They do not deserve the custom.

Love this place, it's cools and cozy inside and out. Upstairs area that open up on a warm day and has a fire on the cold days. It's great for roast dinners on Sunday now too. Cocktails and a great selection beers. Even Live music last week, a really cool Brasilian band. Definitely worth a visit

We had our office Christmas party in the upstairs room and had a brilliant time. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. We had great food. We could play our own music. A good time was had by all.

They use really cheap beef in their burgers which taste like they were previously cooked and kept warm to serve when ordered. Not too dissimilar to a burger van burger.

We came in for a drink with friends. The drinks were overpriced and of terrible quality. Their coke from the tap was clearly reaching the end of the barrel and tasted horrible but when we asked if it could be swapped for bottled coke the very rude and patronising bar man told us there was nothing wrong with it and made out like we were trying to swindle them (out of a coke, I mean really..). The glasses also were very dirty. Altogether an unpleasant expierience. With so many drinking holes in Brighton one could afford to give this one a miss.

Stopped by here for a cocktail and ended up staying for dinner. Really cool place, lined with photos from famous love triangles and named after the wife and later mistress of the Prince Regent. Pretty good happy hour for cocktails, 2 for £9. Also has a good range of vegetarian and gluten free food. Recommended the fake fish and chips!

We called in on Thursday night (August 3rd) for a drink and sat outside which was great.

This was the first pub we came across and ended up staying for a few cocktails during our weekend in Brighton - great place to start. Only observation was the wooden floor could do with some anti slip mats??

We popped into this establishment for a couple of cocktails and a break from the sightseeing. The outdoor seating area provides a nice spot to people watch and was very pleasant as the sun was out. Drink prices are what I would expect in Brighton. I had the opportunity to observe a waitress interact with a large group of foreign exchange students and she was very patient and helpful given the language challenges.

Found this place after a visit to the theatre about 10.30pm. Large outside seating area was heaving so we figured it must be worth investigating. Went inside to find a live band playing and people dancing. Laid back atmosphere. Bar prices were good. We were soon dancing.

We were Christmas shopping in Brighton and were in need of some Christmas cheer and we Found it in this great little place full of atmosphere and the best mulled cider I have ever had! I will definitely been heading back next xmas!

2 4 1 cocktails until 9. Sat outside on benches in the sun and watched Brighton saunter, stumble and run past. Friendly staff. Cheese chips. Upstairs has a upstairs area to the back and a second bar. This also has a wood burning stove.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Mrs Fitzherberts, they were fantastic, we had such a fun night. The bar staff managed to handle 70 people demanding god knows what drinks all night, nothing we asked for was too much trouble. One of my favorite pubs in Brighton!

Now, I've been here before and I thought it was a cool pub. I've given it a 2 rating because last weekend I went here and ordered 2 pints and a double JD and was charged £20! I was in a rush as we were at The Great Escape Festival and wanted to get in a venue across the road so I should have questioned the price. Cool looking place but just keep an eye on the prices!

We had roughly 60 people for my 40th at the end of Jan and the upstairs space was plenty big enough for everyone to have a flap about on/around the dance floor.

We recently attended a private party here for a 50th birthday. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. Platters of party food, including sliders and probably the best homemade scotch eggs I have ever had! The private bar upstairs was run smoothly with hardly any waiting around. The transformation in this pub over the past 8 months or so is something everyone who works there should be proud of.

I recently had a 30th birthday party upstairs in the cocktail bar here from 8pm - 2am. The staff were really helpful, assisting me with setting up a USB of images on the TV and being friendly and fast behind the bar. We were also allowed our own DJ, despite them having one in the downstairs bar that evening. We got lots of comments on the fab space which also has an outdoor terrace area with log burning stove which was ideal for those not wanting to dance but still wanting to be involved in the party. Also we reached the minimum bar spend and have been refunded the deposit speedily. Thanks for a great night Mrs Fitz!

Similar disappointing experience with table reserving which left our small group in the hands of hostile group of unpleasant 'reserved area' party-goers who turfed us out. Not well managed by the staff at all and I'll not be going back. Toilets AWFUL

Have visited a few times now since the place was transformed for the better by a recent refurbishment. The bar is in a great location, and there's usually a good lively atmosphere and decent drinks and cocktails.

My husband and I found this place after a concert at The Dome. It was pouring with rain on Sunday night and we were desperate for a good drink and shelter from the downpour - we looked around and this bar stood out for us. We had the whole of the top bar to ourselves (it was a Sunday and quite late!) which had a rooftop, covered area with seats and a log burner, and decorated with fairy lights galore! Just beautiful and just what we needed after a long fun night on our feet! We will visit again!

I recently reserved the roof terrace for a retirement/leaving drinks work gathering having been recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Initially, the music was a bit loud so talking to someone not sat directly beside you was difficult, however, it was reduced shortly after we arrived and socialising was much easier. The roof terrace was lovely, comfortable and adequate sized. It has a cover so you can still sit outside if the weather isn't great. The staff were all very friendly and drinks weren't over priced. The DJ was great and they had enough space for us to dance. The kitchen closed at 7pm which was a shame as we would have liked to try the menu. I would recommend the venue to others!

Such a shame that they've renovated the place to look so soulless. It used to be a great place to meet friends and sadly now has lots its charm.

Hired their upstairs space for a birthday party. Team where extremely friendly and helpful, great night had by all.

Lovely venue, very friendly service with approachable staff, and a good mix of live music and good dj's. Would definitely come again and recommend to my friends!

The location is a very busy thoroughfare and ideally suited for people watching, when sitting outside.

Stopped in for a drink before dinner and sat on the upstairs roof terrace - nice little spot. As we went out we saw a band had been setting up and we then came back after dinner to check them out - I've got to say, they were really, really good (The Sweet and Lowdown).

Lovely outdoor space to sit on a sunny evening. Super funky décor. Friendly staff. Small but very pretty and chilled roof terrace. Will definitely be back soon.

Was at Fitz Herbert's last weekend first love the new changes look so much better than before, it was an old mans pub.

Really good service, great food and an awesome area at the front. Went along with some mates, would usually just go next door but saw some food come out and it looked great. Would deffo come back

Popped in for some drinks while soaking in the Brighton atmosphere. Greeted by an impatient and reluctant gentleman at the bar. Won't be visiting again.

Ok drinks selection, fairly cool decor, all let down by rude bar staff. Blunt, unfriendly, unsmiling, and impatient. Won't visit again.
