Perfect spot for a relaxing lunch! Gorgeous seat by the window in the sunshine, great service, and most importantly the food was epic. Highly recommend taking advantage of the 2 courses for £18.95 such good value for great food. We will be back.

Lovely little gem if your touring the area, or shopping and just want a nice meal in a chilled environment this is the place to go reasonably priced as well staff are wonderful will definitely go back.

What a gem this place is. If you love mussels or oysters this is Nirvana. They do have other items on the menu, the soup of the day carrot & ginger was so tasty. Great service too, even on a dreary weather wednesday.

Lovely little Gem! We went for Valentine's Day tonight and will definitely be back! My partner has Colitis so chooses to be gluten free to help his symptoms. We explained this to the staff and were super helpful and clued up on allergies. Even discussed that my chips were cooked in a fryer which they fry gluten products so if he is allergic not to nick a chip. Lots of gluten free options available on request. We both has mussels, one naked one Spanish and both had the pate starter. We will definitely be back to try other flavoured of mussels! Thanks for being so lovely ❤️❤️

Not usually a huge seafood fan. My wife is and we went there for her birthday. Very nice meal and excellent service and atmosphere. Definitely plan to visit again.

Enjoyable food and the service staff were great. We could also watch the 6 nations (in the background) which was an added bonus!

We visited for a late lunch having searched for a seafood restaurant in Chester. We selected the oysters and seafood sharing platter which were delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Lovely meal and atmosphere with polite and friendly staff.

Friendly service, a pleasant traditional interior, but average food. The mariniere sauces weren’t the best we’ve tasted, the mussels had far too many sharp broken shells present (rushed preparation?), and the bread baguettes served were very disappointing (stone-cold, non-crusty & bland). Maybe they were having a bad day but we’ve had much better moules and artisan breads in Belgium and France.

My meal was very good, but one of our party of six said some parts of his main course were undercooked. Hence only 4 stars, but still very good value for money.

The staff were very accommodating for gluten free. Mussels were excellent and rump steak cooked perfectly 👌🏻

Visited just before Christmas. Great fixed price menu and food really good! Bottle of wine for £20 too which I'm pretty sure is cheapest in Chester!! Lovely staff too.

Myself and three other family members came down with food poisoning from the oysters. We regularly eat here, and the food and experience has always been great (hence we eat there for big family meals a lot). But just before Christmas, all members of the family who ate the oysters came down sick at different intensities, ruining Christmas Day. The response from management and the owner was rather shocking, not wanting to take any responsibility for the incident, when all we wanted to try and do was explain the situation so it wouldn’t happen to other customers in the future (we received every excuse from the batch volume to the suppliers filtration process, but no accountability). Sad to say we won’t be dining here again due to the response we received, and their clear priority for preventing any liability, rather than simply apologising (we didn’t ask for a refund or anything else to make up for the incident). A shame.

This place is a real gem. The oysters and mussels were so fresh and delicious!!!! The taste and the quality of the food was brilliant, and they do also have plenty of choice for the non-sea food lovers. The service and staff were fantastic. The vibe was so cosy and warm and even on a chilly Wednesday evening. It was nice and busy, but not loud. Just the perfect atmosphere. A really lovely evening. I will definitely be coming back - I've decided I want to keep coming back to try every variety/flavour of mussels haha! Definitely go and give this place a visit!!!!!

Both gluten free was so much on the menu it was all delicious. Made gluten free waffles which were amazing. Booked a table, a lunch time visit we were glad we booked as busy. Staff very helpful and polite couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! It was easy to find, and the service was excellent. The young lady who served us provided helpful recommendations, especially since it was my first time trying mussels and oysters. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect – intimate, warm lighting, and away from noise. Highly recommended!

I had the most unpleasant experience here with my boyfriend on Sunday. Although the dining and service was great, my table had the unfortunate experience of food poisoning after he spent over £100 here!!! This is completely unacceptable, I'm not sure what dish exactly gave us food poisoning - all dishes were seafood based so you can understand how unpleasant this experience has been. This is extremely disappointing considering how much money was spent at this establishment. I would avoid returning again or even recommending this restaurant to anyone. I am beyond disappointment - I think the process in which food is cooked and prepared that cannot be seen behind the dining experience should be questioned. Both of us had to take a few days off from work and college because of how harsh the sickness was. Do better for your customers.

Great seafood restaurant! A lot of choices and a few meat options for people who are not that keen on fish. Had to flag for the bill twice but it was very busy.

We had a wonderful meal here on the 1st November 2023. The atmosphere was really good and the staff were friendly and efficient, attentive but not intrusive. The chef produced the most amazing food. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and eat here again.

Had forgotten how good this resto is. Took advantage of the Lobster Friday promotion and the whole experience was right up there with any lunch I've had in a long time: Half a dozen oysters, lobster with frites and mayo and excellent house champagne. What's not to like? Lobsters arrived that morning beautifully fresh and perfectly cooked. Staff professional, knowledgeable and friendly. No wonder Moules is one of Chester's most established restos.

Absolutely delicious meal tonight in Moules a Go Go - despite turning up 90 minutes early for our booking (we were far travelled & starving!) the manager fitted us in no problem. Lovely food, good wine and friendly staff - childs menu was superb too. Would highly recommend. We had halloummi fries, Sri Lankan chicken curry and sticky toffee pudding - 5 stars!

Very tasty and good portions of Moules. The only slight hiccup was being given the wrong bill, but easy fixed. We will come again.

Excellent service, well-trained and friendly staff who could not have been more helpful. The food was all good quality, well-cooked and full of flavour. Wine was exceptionally good. Visited for dinner on Friday 6th October and we were so impressed we visited again on Saturday 7th. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Love love love this restaurant, this was my 2nd visit on a weekend break to Chester and it did not disappoint. The linguine is amazing! Honestly the best I have ever tasted and my husband had food envy after tasting my meal (even though his was also great!) beautiful cocktails and lovely staff.

Had a drink and looked at TripAdvisor for a restaurant - found this gem just around the corned, not sure what to expect but the food was excellent, mussels and Steak - both were good and not a bad price taking into account todays prices. Will Def go again

After spending the morning doing a stable visit at nearby Cholmondley, we were starving and wandering around beautiful Chester. Not fancying any of the other places we saw, we came across Moules a Go-Go. What an absolute gem! The ambiance and the food, together with the service were absolutely superb, and when we revisit Chester in the future, this will definitely be our go to restaurant.

If you’re looking for fresh mussels and oysters then this is the place. Very friendly atmosphere and great service. Interesting variations of mussel dishes but the classic is my favourite. Everything tastes very fresh and clean and makes for guilt free dining that doesn’t right you off for hours after.

I used to be a regular here but we moved away and not been in Chester for a while, we popped in and had the lunch menu, the food was excellent as always and the service was attentive. Thank you we’ll be back soon

Found this through Trip Advisor reviews. Lovely food, decor and atmosphere brilliant and the staff were polite and attentive.Had a couple of cocktails that were a bit underwhelming but we still drank them!! Meal for 2 - 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 cocktails came to around £70 . Happy with that as the food was delicious.

A good spot to drop in on for mussels, served in a variety of ways. The standard sized portion is generous unless you are feeling very hungry or have a significant craving. There are some good local beers available to which went down well with the mussels, the Chester Pilsner especially! This is a stop with some regular, local fans and it definitely catches its fair share of tourists as well. Worth a visit.

We had a set lunch. My friend had mushroom soup with 2 very sad looking , tasteless *french bread*. The prawn coctail is quite awful to be honest, supermarket deli standard. Mussels itself is fresh but the classic one really need some seasoning. Taste before serve please. The Harlech one is ok. Overall is worse than previous 2 times I came. (Which within 1 year). Will not go again for sure.

Amazing place, our favourite in Chester. Everything was spotless, a friendly and professional service, the décor/atmosphere and, obviously, the food. We had crispy squid and baked oysters to start with. Perfectly fried sea bream and a beautiful pot of mussels for main. A waffle and a tart to finish were very tasty. Thank you, we will be back

Amazing food, an absolutely faultless seafood menu! We had 6 oysters between us, which came with a red wine shallot vinegar. Big, juicy oysters! So tasty and the shallot vinegar was the perfect accompaniment! We also had the seafood board, which was great value. Although it was £32 between 2, it was more than worth it! MASSIVE mussels, the biggest I’ve ever seen! Great value for money all round and excellent seafood in a characterful, relaxed restaurant with great service. Would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely love this place. Have been a couple of times. Very good quality mussels and lovely cooking. Different styles but all very good. Staff were chatting on first floor so keep another customer waiting for a while to pay bill. Fresh oyster too.
