Waited nearly 2 hours for delivery, when calling up to see where it was the operator was rude and inconsiderate. When the food came it was missing items. Rang back andthey said it wasn’t on the order which it was. Food was also dry and tasteless won’t be ordering again.

Waited over 2 hours for delivery only to be shouted at when calling to see where it was, have eaten in the restaurant before and food was really good, will never use again. If you can't compete orders don't take them or at least apologise to a customer not shout then hang up

Ordered delivery at 6pm food hadn't arrived by 8pm . rang constantly but no answer . Decided to try different takeaway who delivered in 35mins . Mouchak then turned up at 21.30 . Only 3hours 30mins after we ordered . They explained that they were busy . . No apology . What a poor way to run a business .

The food, service and quality is always excellent here. If something is wrong with your order please tell the guys here - they understand and rectify it instantly. Being really fussy with food, I have to say that this is the best takeaway I have ever used. Great value and never disappointed.

Fed up of ordering certain dishes and having the wrong food or food missing , the chicken madras was awful about 5 pieces of chicken in it and the lamb pathia was quite tasteless

2 takeaway curries that turned out to be tasteless, lacking in any heat or spices. Our first time here and we both love our curries but our experience left one curry we could not eat and had to be put in the bin. If that is what a bhuna should be we’ve been hoodwinked for 45 years. Sorry we won’t be back

Firstly we waited 2 hours for our take away to turn up freezing cold, then we opened the bag to find two main dishes missing which included the “free” chicken tikka masala and onion bhajis that they apparently give out with orders over £20, when I called the number provided on the email sent when I ordered food I was greeted with a rude man who kept telling me to hang on while he spoke to other people. When I finally managed to explain what was missing he replied with “we’ll deliver it next time” I said this wasn’t possible as we needed the food tonight and his response was “you’ll have to come and get it.” When I said I wanted it delivered he then got defensive and said “it was free anyway so does it matter” It’s very clear that they are using the free items to get you to spend over a certain amount then not delivering them, sure trading standards would like to hear about that. The person they have answering the phone is a rude badly spoken man, the food tasted like cardboard and was freezing and I got no apology from them. Waste of money.

Booked a table at this restaurant on recommendation off others who have been. We are new to the area and heard about this restaurant and thought we would go for wifes birthday, and I must say from the time we arrived till the time we left everything from service to the food was amazing nothing to much trouble for the staff. Although a little slow with bringing the food you can understand why when you put the food in your mouth. Simply the best indian we have ever been to and we've been to a few. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back soon or maybe a cheeky takeaway

Visit here on a Monday evening with a work colleague and was amazed how busy this place was - people were cueing for tables on a Monday night - Wow!.Once the food arrived I could clearly see why - simply fantastic fresh quality food - well done Mouchak - I will be back.PS - Ther Monday deal - 4 corses for £10 offer amazing value!!

I’ve had to eat humble pie ...I had been there previously and had a bad experience I wrote a pretty bad review which I’ve now deleted.I don’t know how or what has happened but this Indian meal was the best I’ve ever had. . What a difference unbelievable really! It may have been a bad night previously but wow I’m eating my words ... I had king prawn madras for main it was just the best great atmosphere all been updated and upgraded it looks beautiful inside the bar has moved it all looks clean . This is so good as it’s local to me and believe me I’m over the moon it’s become a great restaurant it’s on my door step .

The staff here a really friendly and knowledgeable they will happily talk you through the menu. Oh and what a menu there is something for everyone from the ultra mild to the blisteringly hot and all cooked fresh. By the way they do a takeaway service for those lucky enough to live close by

Right, I’m biased as this is my local Indian restaurant but...It’s harder to find a better one in south wale Staff are friendly, restaurant is always clean and tidy, service is good and good is reasonable priced and always tastes great My personal favourites are the king prawn puree to start and then either a Lamb Dansaak or a Chicken Naaga -Top notch !!!

Friendly and welcoming staff and atmosphere. Great food and refreshing beers on offer. Love the choice of meals on offer. Definitely recommend it.

Stunning takeaway , delivered when asked. Chicken tandoori bhuna , chicken Makonwala with rice and chips were stunning. Lovely flavour, delivered piping hot. Perfect.

5 adults - poppadoms and dips, main courses and drinks all round £90 only - a great menu and fabulous service. Nice ambience too. I remember when it was the old Pool Hall in Ton and my 1st visit since then! Compares really really well with my Local favourites of Cinnamon Tree and Indiaah. Well worth it and I will be a repeat Customer.

Food was nice but the rice was like it was out of a packet. Not much elbow room if there is a group of you but all in all not a bad Indian to be fair. And I like an Indian 😉

Decided to go to the restaurant last night instead of having a takeaway. Place is very local to me and have eaten here many times. Food is constantly good plenty of choice well priced and good service. All dishes that my eife and self had were very good with my lamb gost delicious and the chicken sallie also very good . A really nice indian meal .

Easy to locate in the Main Street if Tonyrefail there is limited parking on the Main Street. We booked our table in advanced and was shown to our table within a few minutes of arrival. Staff were friendly and polite and arranged and arranged a drinks Oder straight away with some nibbles of popadoms and sauces. Main was ordered and there was a wide selection of meals available. Food arrived quickly and was very good, plenty to each on a normal size meal as I could not finish all that was on my plate. Option was given to pack the food up to take home. We had several bottles of wine and shots but the staff did have to call to the nearest off licence to get us a bottle of what we wanted, this did cost us a lot more than what the bottle was worth! The staff were very accommodating and we were the last ones to leave the restaurant at the end of the night. I would go again but maybe next time that extra bottle of spirits we will get on the way home.

Still waiting for my order after 2 and a half hours! Really disappointed as have always been a regular customer. Disappointed mouchak! What's happening?

This is the best Indian restaurant in the whole of the Rhonda cynon taff South Wales the staff and management team are ever so friendly it's well worth you're time to relax and have a nice relaxing quiet evening drinking and enjoying the Indian food it's well worth you're time to go and enjoying you're evening cheers Kevin

Llegamos y no estaba sentado por al menos 10 minutos, así que estábamos pasando por el bar. Me dijeron que era de buffet sólo los domingos en la noche, reservamos una quincena antes para 14, nunca se mencionó en ese punto así que nos permitieron pedir del menú. Chix tikka comenzó tenía 4 pequeñas piezas de pollo y el resto era enorme cebollas. De madrás era realmente bueno. Nuggets de pollo para mi hija ordenados (9) exigente con la comida, así que pedí plain, inicialmente se me olvidó la orden, luego, cuando llegamos estaba cubierto de cebollas y salsa de moreno todo alrededor de la placa, fue dejado totalmente intacta. Intenté pedir una bebida y me dijo que necesitaba para hacer cola en el bar! Le pregunté a la camarera de al lado y él nos pidió bebidas. Gran grupo familiar en la mesa de al lado muy ruidoso, insultos cada otra palabra, sin embargo, para los niños en su fiesta o nuestro! Un inodoro, completamente bloqueados hembra con enfermos, no rectificar ese inmediatamente. En general, no es una experiencia genial, es una pena, ya que la ubicación es conveniente

Good food. Very clean. Staff were very helpfull and Knowledgeable of the menu. And anything wasnt too much trouble for them. Good atmosphere.

We went to this restaurant with friends after visiting Cardiff. We found the menu comprehensive with almost every permutation of Indian dishes - with many English alternatives. Prices were reasonable for such a restaurant. It seems to operate a take-away service, which seems also quite popular with the residents nearby.On arrival the place does look a little grotty and dated, nevertheless the food was good. The staff weren't particularly pleasant and service a little on the 'slow' side. The seating a little cramped.I would not be in any rush back here.

Excellent venue, great food for both take away and eat in. Staff are great and very attentive. It is located on the main road through the village and is part of a row of houses, dont let that put you off. Once through the door, there is a lovely restaurant and a great place to vistit.

A very warm welcome from the staff had many takaways from there but a must place to go for a stunning meal been twice and ca.nt wait 2 go again

Ate here last week with my family on a Monday night. they have an offer poppadoms, starter main rice and bread for £11 so very good value. The food was good, decent amount of spice, good portions and a varied menu. The waiters were very good, funny and good at their jobs. Busy with a good atmosphere will be going back in the future. Had a bit of a wait for the bill only criticism not a show stopper

Visited for the first time a few weeks back. We had 4 courses and drinks and i got to say the food was absolutely amazing. Great quality, and friendly service. The chicken korma and Peshwari nan was to die for. going back on the 23rd February for a quiz night and a meal.

Attended the restaurant with family for an evening meal and was treated to an outstanding service. The waiter was well spoken and very helpful with not just the food but also our comfort whilst there. The food was excellent and you had time to enjoy it. There is a set menu on a Monday is you want for a tenner of four courses but we went for the traditional menus as we are all good eaters and it worked out at just over £20 each. Well recommended, Thank you.

We booked a table for three people and upon arrival the resturant was half empty. Upon ordering our food we got two poppadoms instead of the three ordered. Then one of us received the wrong meal but thank fully it was replaced quickly. Then on top of that tHE waiter forgot to bring our drinks.. As the restaurant began to fill up the service went a little down hill. The food was unfortunately a little bland compared to other Indian Restaurants nearby. After finishing our food no one came to ask us whether we would like a desert. After waiting for 30 minutes or so we were asked if we would like the bill which made it obvious that we were being rush out... The bill arrived with two pieces of chocolate to share amongst three of us.. LOL ! Very disappointed overall but that said the staff were very friendly and polite.

Best Indian meal around. Service is as good as the food. Excellent meal with excellent service and very good prices. Excellent value for money.

My boyfriend and I went about a fortnight ago. The food is lovely, and the restaurant nice inside, although the tables are quite close together. Service was efficient - some staff were great, others very abrupt (bordering on rude), which I understand from a cultural point of view and from working somewhere so busy, but it could still be improved upon. Loads of choice on the menu, including lots of fish and some veggie options. We shared a mixed vegetarian starter, which was delicious, particularly the mushroom chapati. The lamb in my main course was beautifully cooked (one slightly grisly piece), and my boyfriend had a fish which came on the bone but practically fell off. The portions were decent sizes, quite big, and everything was very reasonably priced. £36 for two person starter, two mains with a rice and naan, and a pint.

first time we have used this resturant. Very good food, good prices, could have been a bit warmer inside that night. Good service but await between course. however the quality made up for the delay. Good allround value.

What a lovely place with lovely staff. The food was to die for and they accommodated at short notice when 17 of us were let down by a pub we had visited for our Christmas meal.I have to say I will be visiting again soon...and they do collection/delivery service take away

Ive been going to this place for years, the food is lovely and very reasonably priced for sure. Service is okay especially if you have a take away as their lead times usually run over by fifteen minutes plus. Any paneer dish is good and the veg dishes are fresh and plentiful. Certainly worth a punt if you like traditional Indian fare. On of the best in the Rhondda.

Great selection of curry m at reasonable prices. Lovely setting and staff were very friendly. Will definitely be going back again.

First visit to this restaurant with my wife and the food we had was superb. I had lamb Pathia dish and it was delicious, and my wife had a lamb Naga chilli type dish, lovely mushroom rice and keema naan. Good value and highly recommend for all groups of people

Again this restaurant delivered with amazing food. Nothing was too much trouble. The meal is honestly one of the best Indian meals I have ever had. Definitely going back and if the standard remains the same then they will get another fantastic review. Please take my advise and eat here you will not be disappointed.

My partner and I ate here last month and I have to say it is one of the best Indian restaurants I have eaten in for a long time. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. Each course was delivered hot with an acceptable amount of time between courses. The menu is also very reasonably priced and we will be back again.

We popped in here on the way back from Shopping in Llantrisant. It was the first time for us to come here, a few friends have recommended it.My husband had a lamb dish. I had a Chicken Chaat for a starter, Husband had Prawns.Husband had Lamb with Kema Rice for Main, I had Chicken Korma With Coconut Rice...it was to die for! I've never been a lover of Indian until I met my husband..but now absolutely love it!!We have been to the mouchak many many times and have always really enjoyed it.But we must say the past 6 months the food has gone down hill We have been really disappointed by this and have sort indian food elsewhere..

My family and myself enjoyed a wonderful meal here a few weeks ago. Excellent service, as seems standard with most Indian restaurants. Excellent menu and excellent food. This is also the only Indian we get takeaway from. Always perfect. I love super spicy food and the thought of their phall leaves me drooling.

This is local for us so great we have a decent Indian Restaurant that we can go at the drop of a hat and have a good meal at good value.As we walked in, we are instantly recognised and welcomed back again. One waiter spots us and comes to collect us for our table, asking "usual wine sir"? means a lot to have the personal touch.. what a memory, not been for about 5/6 wks.Staff are attentive, cannot do enough for you, really friendly and the food is always good - keep up what you are doing, its a recipe for success!

Visited Mouchak for the Monday banquet which is a bargain. I've been here a million times I've practically worked my way through the whole menu and never had something I didn't like. I've tried other places but nothing measures up to Mouchak. The food is the best can't say anything bad about it.

As usual the food in the restaurant is so tasty. The colours and flavours are delightful.The service and price are reasonable, so this ticks 2 more boxes.The takeaway meals can be hit and miss though. Maybe because it gets so busy and it can be a nightmare to get through on the phone on the weekend/peak times.

Booked a home delivery via telephone. We were told there was a 45 minute wait, which was fine. An hour and a quarter later just as I was going to ring them, the door knocks. Food arrived at long last. I have had about 4 takeaways from Mouchak, this is the second one I have had that was cold, and I don't mean warm, I mean cold. The first time this happened, I rang to complain and to be fair to them they offered a half price meal the next time I ordered, which we took them up on and it was very nice and hot. This time it was not only cold but the food was not even remotely good, one single butterfly king prawn at 4.50 a pop which was all breadcrumb and the prawn was like rubber, average chicken tikka, the peshwari nan was absolutely disgusting, at 2.50 each there was no raisins, no almonds and very little coconut and the bread itself was like a soggy flipflop. The other food we ordered was edible once it had gone into the microwave to be heated back up. I was livid and rang to complain yet again and the man I spoke to was very apologetic and offered us another meal to be delivered, which if we had took him up on it we would have been eating at around 11.30 if it had took another hour and a quarter, so we declined, and then he offered us another meal at a reduced rate next time, well no thank you, we wanted a tidy meal this time. Because we had spent over 20.00 we qualified for a free chicken masala which we didn't want, it would be more fitting if they concentrated on getting the food out when its hot rather than trying to keep their customers with freebee's that I personally did not want. I understand that writing a bad review is bad for people's business and livelihoods , so I would never do so unless I felt it was totally justified and even then I feel bad doing so but as this is the second time I felt it necessary.

Booked for a family of 10 on New Year's Eve 2015. We were left unattended on arrival and just stood in the reception area for a while before we were acknowledged and when we were the manager was very abrupt,as if we were in the way. .We had the table for 1 1/2 hours before we had to leave so service was very prompt to say the least!! Being a big group we were served a variety of dishes all of which was very nice but nothing to rave about. I have tasted better. The reception area was very congested when we went to pay. There is no payment at the table!! We all payed in groups of 2. I was the first to pay so made my way home. My 18 daughter was the last to pay and payed £10 more than she should have as she had the set menu. I drove back to the restaurant to explain as my name was on the booking only to be told to come back when it was quieter and they would refund her. I did so,every evening for 2 weeks and the manager could never be found. She never had her £10 back,so check your bill is my advice!!

Second time going there, absolutely stunning food and great service. Would advise to go at 7 o'clock as it isn't as busy, but still spot on service! Prawn purée is an amazing starter! And definitely chicken Shashlik for mains, yum! Can't wait for our next visit again!

Mouchak has been our Indian restaurant/takeaway of choice for around five years now and until recently had always been excellent. Not sure if it has changed hands since the makeover and maybe has a different chef, but the food is definitely not as good as it was. Shame.

Slow to be seated, they doubled booked us but told us we was late but we was 15 mins early BUT Stunning food, waiters are very friendly and can't do enough for you, reasonable prices and can't wait to book to go again :).

A group of us went there for a meal a couple of weeks ago and was amazed how good the food and service was.Having not had a sit down meal there for years I was'nt expecting too much but the experience was wonderful.I have regular takeaways from this restaurant but I must say the "sit down" version is way better.This really is another hidden gem and we will be going there regularly from now on.

Went on Monday 11th for my daughters birthday. Was relatively busy but I think that it's changed hands since the makeover. Staff were slow to get us a table, then even slower to take drinks order. Food was good but staff I felt couldn't be bothered. Was cold too, had to ask for A/C to be turned down. When we asked for the bill it turned up and payment was taken without so much as a thank you. On leaving before they would be at the door thanking you and wishing you well. Tonight they just glanced up and went about what they were doing. Sorry Mouchak, we won't be rushing back.

Biriani had hardly any chicken and was orange. Tikka Massala gluey and disgustingly sweet. Ordered pilau rice it came white! Even the Nan bread had too much sugar.

We've been coming here for years with just us or as our extended family and everyone loves it! Even though we've moved to talbot green we still use this one and they deliver to us - because is the best! All the kids love it too and I too reccommend to anyone and everyone great food and lovely guys!!

my husband and myself have been going to mouchak at least twice a month (often more ) for the last 5 years , every time the food is of the same standard ,always supurb ,very tasty and the new menu is a great addition to existing tried and tested dishes .as well as the food in my opinion being the best about the staff are faultless too ,soo friendly and helpfull at all times .the prices are more than fair and very competative .the lamb cofta ,chicken rezella and haryali chicken are among my favorites.if you havnt been here your in for a real indian treat .

This is the most wonderful restaurant .We live in the USA and make this place our first visit The staff a re incredible . The service is amazing and the food is super .It could not be better.Every person we have taken there says the same .Thank you Mochacks!

When it opened we went many times and the food was excellent the garlic chicken tikka was the best I'd had , we found the standard has dropped so much the taste the sauces are all similar , didn't seem they were made to order just a big pot of sauce for every dish , they used to have slices roasted garlic on the top as garnish , no more food was Luke warm not hot , service has dropped all waiters just messed about chatting to each other , while people wwe waiting a long time for their food .I was there at the start when they had no alcohol licence and we all took our own it was fantastic they couldn't do enough now, they couldn't care less , will not go back we live in the village but now travel to pontyclun for a far better meal in the palm tree awesome and cheaper better and lovely people , it's a shame

The food here is the best Indian cuisine I have EVER had! The Halari chicken start is so delicious and I love the Pasanda, makanwala and tikka. Will return again and again!!

I love this restaurant have visited here both as a couple and for a meal with friends. There is a lot to choose from on the menu so you can always have something different each time.You also receive friendly service which is always nice. It even looks nice and appealing on the inside too.This is a must visit restaurant if you are in the area and considering where to eat out.

Unfortunately very disappointed. We all had different chicken dishes, but sauce was same on all meals and matches cheap packet sauce. 3 chewy, fatty lumps of chicken each with some skin left on. Not marinated. Very poor and not cheap. Each of our groups views are represented in this review.

Tried booking a table a few weeks ago to find them closed for a re fit. Dropped in today and can honestly say it's a re fit well done only to be topped by lovely food and friendly staff. There was a massive table already seated do we thought we would have to wait a while but the food came out quicker than other places I've been when they are quiet. I'll defiantly be going back for more some time soon

Excellent meal tonight, don't eat takeaway often but was glad I did !! They made a paneer madras for the veggie in the house and I had a lamb dish recommended by the chef and it was delicious!

We ate here as a group of 4 just after the restaurant had re-opened following refurbishment. The service was as good as ever, and the food was delicious, with good portion sizes and very affordable, compared to any other indian closer to Cardiff.Definitely have to book in advance as this restaurant is very popular. The only thing we found is that it was so busy, and so noisy with everyone chatting, that you couldn't really hear each other to have a conversation. Would definitely return though.

I am only giving 1 star because I cannot give 0. I was recently shocked with the customer service I received from Mouchak. I arrived home having picked up our order and realised that two items were missing from our order. I was told to come back and pick up the missing items. When I arrived I had to wait 15-20 minutes for the missing items whilst the food at home was going cold and the rice was very mushy. I asked for some sort of compenation for the waste of time, petrol and inconvenience and was told that they 'Cannot do that, sorry' so I left saying that we would not eat there again. I think that Mouchak take loyal customers for granted because they generally have the monopoly of Inidan restaurants in Tonyrefail and the surrounding area unlike chinese restaurants, of which there are many. This has happened before. I think the saying 'Once bitten twice shy' applies here and I'm fed up of giving Mouchak chances and will not be eating there again. I hope Mouchak read this review and realise that whilst each customer they lose does not seem significant, in a year £20 a fortnight is £520 and in 10 years that's £5,200!

We have been regular customers of mouchak for some time now, and we thoroghly enjoy the food. Customer service is not always the best, but nice restaurant with a great takeaway service

If you are looking for a decent Indian you would be hard pressed to find better. Situated in Tonyrefail in the old' Billiard Hall' - this is a real gem. Staff are friendly and welcoming & attentive. Food is good and consistently so! Never had a bad meal. Love the Lamb Bhuna and would highly recommend the Dopiaza. Exceptional value for money. Have dined in first rate Indians in Cardiff, which were good if not pretentious. Mouchak' takes some beating, exceptional 'service and located conveniently in the valleys. My favourite Indian - simply the best

I have been a regular customer to Mouchak for many years, but recently have discovered that portions are gradually getting smaller and the quality of food hasn't been as great lately.I have politely brought this to their attention a few times, and each time they have assured me that they will see that it does not happen again. However, last week when I ordered a delivery, it turned up 30 minutes later than I was told that it would be (which I understand happens), but on opening my meal i discovered that they main dishes we're barely half full and contained around 5 minute pieces of meat, the side dishes contained even less and the onion bhajis' and naan were tiny.When I then contacted Mouchak, explaining the problem I was passed on to their Manager, who in a cocky manner told me that the curry's should only contain that little meat and that the portions have always always been that size. I explained that I am a regular customer and that portions that I have received in the past were by far not as small and that Its not acceptable to have such a little amount of food for the money spent and that I' not happy to order from them again if this is the case, to which he told me 'thats fine' and put the phone down.Shocking customer service!

The very best tasting Indian cuisine in the area by far. Give it a go , you'll soon return!Take away or eat in its always a great and satisfying experience
