We held my son's wake here on 12/09/2023. Well what can I say, it was fantastic. We asked for a buffet for around 50 people and there was as much food to feed an army. We were blown away by the quality of the food, and the amount of many different types of food that was given. I'm afraid even our guest couldn't eat it all. Staff were so friendly and were also very polite . I would recommend anyone wanting to hold their families wake somewhere do it here. If I could give them 10* I would. Thank you everyone for being so friendly and nice after a sad time for us all.

Food and service was excellent in this friendly local pub. A huge shout out to the integrity and good will of the staff and patrons as my son left a sentimental and expensive pack of cards there and when we went back 4 days later they had been handed in and we’re waiting for us. So very grateful for this act of kindness! We will be back!

Went there for my stepdads wake . A few things to note . The pub is opposite the crematorium so the obvious choice for the wake. Warning !!!!! Being charged a £75 booking fee, not a deposit is just wrong . I challenged this with the pub and was told it was the policy . I then contacted 10 further green king pubs who all said that they did not charge a booking fee. This charge is exploiting grieving families due to the location. I have never ever had to pay to book a restaurant , unheard of ! A deposit yes . I contacted the area manager a real nice guy called Chris who immediately refunded the £75 . He was new to the pub assured me he would be investigating and hopefully put an end to what is as far as I can see cashing in on grief. My advice would be to contact their head office and ask for a refund . On a positive note the buffet was lovely

Like many others we were at the Morden Brook for a family wake. Being so near the local Crematorium it's an ideal venue. There was a buffet which was plentiful and I especially enjoyed the pork pie - always good to have a slice from a big pie - and the warm slices of sausage roll. Tea and coffee was available for those who did not want something stronger. Plenty of choices of beers wines and spirits. Great service from the management and staff. We were happy with all aspects of the service. We may have to go back for Sunday lunch because that is seemingly good value. Thank you.

The Morden Brook is a pub by the roundabout in Morden. It is a very large pub with a car park. The pub is large with three main bars, one of which is sometimes used as a function room. A separate function room exists to but it is rather dull. Outside the bars is a nice garden seating area. The pub serves a good range of tasty food, which is well presented. Indoor games are available such as darts and billiards as well as slot machines. Large televisions are in some of the bars. Toilets are also available.

We were here for my Mum’s wake yesterday and my Dad arranged to reserve an area in the pub for all the guests. We were very happy with the food and the staff. Absolutely top notch service. Thank you!
