Monterey Jacks in Stirling

Great meal out for the whole family, we got a couple of sharers to start, nachos, halloumi fries and some chicken. then burgers all round for mains. Beers were great (a tad pricey) but it was a very good cold pint. Highly recommended

Service was slow and half the menu wasn’t available. Had to ask for table to be cleared and fir desserts to be ordered. Ordered a dessert that had fundamental ingredients missing when it arrived and I was given the choice to eat and pay for it or she’d take it away and it wouldn’t be on the bill - not apologetic and not good customers service. Order a delivery from here for dinner. Got a veggie burger, which honestly just tasted like mush. Unfortunately, the macaroni was inedible, actually looked like scrambled egg in pasta, just a curdled mess and tasted it too. Very disappointing.

The pizza was VERY poor - no better than a cheep frozen supermarket pizza. You can get a proper, fresh dough, stone fired pizza elsewhere for the same price. Veggie Burger - the actual patty wasn't too bad however the burger is advertised on the menu as coming with avocado but it came with about a half teaspoon of guacamole instead. I asked for cheese - the staff assured me it was on there but it was ether so thin or so small that even after taking the burger apart I couldn't see any. It was drowned in mayo and chilli sauce - was literally pouring out the side of the bun, off the plate and on to the table. No normal cola options, only diet varieties available (what's the point?). The chips and onion rings were quite good, however they had "ran out" of normal fries so we had to order skin-on fries instead. So, 1 small rubbish pizza, 1 not very good veggie burger, a side of onion rings and 3 soft drinks came to nearly £50!! Staff were fine. Overall a very disappointing and extremely over priced meal. Avoid this chain - go somewhere independent and local - you'll get a much better meal for the same price.

Went here on a a visit to Stirling my dad and I were welcomed by a member of staff as soon as we entered and shown to a table,ordered a lager for my dad and she helped me choose a cocktail great choice I would have been there all day we both had hot daugs and shared french fres enjoyed our food and reasonably priced would recommend.

Having a family dinner after a long flight to Scotland. The restaurant was out of some of the beers and even managed to burn the very last pizza bottom they had. And this was on a half empty Saturday evening. For the burned pizza we waited for 30 minutes until the staff came to inform us they had burned it and would we like to get something else…

Great food , can bring busy and have to wait on table but are able to sit and have a few drinks until table ready. Self service now so either order yourself on app or goto bar and order.

Pros: staff were friendly. Cons: Uft. Very overpriced, the burger was OK taste but pretty small, and no better than something from Burger King, for twice the price. There was meant to be halloumi in it too, which there wasn't, but by the time I realised this I'd eaten most of the burger and couldn't face the aggro. Sweet potato fries undercooked. Just a burger and fries, no salad/slaw. But the biggest rub was that you had to order through the app (which is fine) but they automatically add on a donation to charity at check out... With no option to remove it! Well, it said you could request your server to take it off, but my word, who wants to look like that much of an arse that you want to deprive the kids?! Also, seeing as we were tucked in a back room, I'd literally have had to go hunt down a staff member. Left a sour taste as there was basically no choice. Oh, and a door was left open halfway through my meal so I was freezing even once I'd put my jacket back on. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Last night we decided to fry out this for a birthday dinner. On first impressions the staff were more interested in wandering about chatting to one another than actually greeting you. We were shown to our seat and not told we needed to order via the app despite the girl saying someone would be over to see to us. I approached a girl chatting at the food counter to ask if we could place our order and was told I needed to use the app. I felt the food was overpriced and not worth the money. Suffice to say I won’t be back nor would I recommend.

Very welcoming - nice atmosphere and great range on menu. Quick service too. Mix up with our food where they had made the wrong burgers for us so we did have to wait a bit longer after that but they acknowledged their mistake and rectified it.

The staff couldn't have been more accommodating: allowing us to bring the dogs in when it started to rain after providing a water bowl and a blanket for them. Food was excellent.

Would not recommend. Tried here for lunch while through visiting Stirling for the day, and was bitterly disappointed. The food was severely overpriced for its low quality. Ordered a portion of chicken tender and fried which were over cooked and really unpleasant. Paid £1.50 for a dip that never arrived despite requesting it again after it was initially not brought with the rest of the order. I’m not usually one for leaving reviews especially when they are this negative but I would feel really bad if a large family were to visit and waste their money as the meal wasn’t cheap. The atmosphere wasn’t great either and we were sat at a tiny table which would normally would have been fine had it not been for the additional menus and cutlery box etc that left very little room (there were slightly larger tables available that would have been much better as the place was pretty much empty bar another two tables). My partner orderd the ribs which resemble a small microwave meal on a slate style plate that was almost longer than the length of the table but was mostly made up of salad and slaw, not practical epsecially given the size of the table. I would give the food 2/10, service 1/10 and atmosphere 1/10, I recommend going somewhere else

Told to order on the app and then asked to tip staff at payment. Not the poor staffs fault, I know, but you obviously need less staff, so pay them more and stop asking people to tip for service they didn't receive.

Went for a family meal as limited optio s in area for what we wanted. Last time we were there the beef burgers were cremated never mind overdone so asked for them to be cooked less. Told they can't cook burgers anything but we'll done should have walked our at this stage but asked them to cook as little as possible. Result was burnt burgers and very small ones at that. Me and my boyfriend came to eat here before he goes overseas for a couple of months, we really wanted it to be special and this did not disappoint. my youngest daughter has a severe dairy allergy, which can be very limiting when going out for dinner. Not only was she enthralled with the restaurant (especially the ladies bathroom which her and her sister were extremely excited with how ‘posh’ it was) but she was able to have the same meal as us (burgers and chips) with a dairy free bun, which was top quality and not the usual rubbish bun you would get anywhere else. The absolute highlight was the fact there was a vegan dessert menu, and she was able to enjoy for the first time, a completely vegan sundae. She was absolutely delighted with this. All the food we had was fantastic and the burgers are some of the best, and freshest I’ve ever tasted.

The food here is amazing. If you want a change to your usual takeaways, then try this place, you will definitely not be disappointed. I experienced their takeaway service and was not let down and the delivery guy was lovely too.

We visited on the opening day of the new premises and we were not disappointed. The decor and the atmosphere of the new restaurant is excellent. My wife, daughter and were served by Lewis (served by him before) who is marvellous. We felt he really took the time and effort to engage with us and made us feel very welcome and valued as a customer. The other staff were also very friendly.The food as always was outstanding. Vegan from hell, chicken v burger and a clucking bronco with sides of sweet potatoes and atomic fries. We had specific requests for our meals and they were dealt with promptly with no issued. The mains/sides were freshly made and very tasty. My wife and daughter had desserts, radpberry meringue and New York flapjack brownie. Again they were excellent.A wonderful experience, enhanced by a very attentive server. Lewis is a credit to your business! We are looking forward to returning and trying more of what the menu has to offer. Hopefully we will be in a lower level of restrictions soon and we can sample a few of the new cocktails. First visit here and I will definitely be back again! Huge selection on the menu including burgers, pizza and hot dogs. You have to order your fries as a side order but it's a massive portion and well worth the money. Staff were friendly and accommodating even after one of the party spilled half a class of cola everywhere! Sorry again! Next visit will be in the new premises and can't wait.

Buenas medidas de COVID en su lugar y me sentí cómodo para comer aquí.Proporcionaron servicio de mesa y la joven que estaba en su primera calle o en su segundo turno fue brillante. Bien hecho y gracias a ella. Lamento no haber entendido su nombre.Tenía los "bollos de miel" y era hermoso. Podría felizmente haberlo tenido dos veces. Fuimos y almorzamos tarde y disfrutamos mucho de nuestro tiempo. ¡Lewis fue una superestrella absoluta! ¡Qué camarero tan increíble! Era súper encantador, parecía que se estaba divirtiendo mientras trabajaba y disfrutaba interactuando con los clientes, lo cual es un buen soplo de aire fresco, ya que la mayoría de los servidores siempre se ven estresados, ya que es una industria de alta presión, pero no hubo un momento en el que Lewis se viera. como si no quisiera estar allí. Hizo que nuestro almuerzo fuera 100 veces mejor. ¡Tenía buenas bromas, un buen conocimiento del producto que vende y era increíblemente divertido! Fui aquí con 3 amigos ya que estábamos en un viaje de un día desde Edimburgo y estaba en el paraíso de la comida. Tuve una hamburguesa que venía con cerdo desmenuzado y macarrones con queso dentro y papas fritas en el lado que estaban cubiertas con queso, cebolla y salsa de curry. Tomé el cóctel "Sharon Osborne", que también estaba delicioso y estaba bien de precio. Tuvieron un percance con la hamburguesa de mi amigo cuando se le cayó cuando salía de la cocina, así que prepararon una nueva que mi amigo estaba feliz de esperar. También teníamos los Nachos de macarrones con queso para compartir como una mesa, pero terminamos llevándonos a casa ya que estábamos tan llenos de toda la buena comida.

We visited last Sunday in a desperate bid to find ribs in Stirling. Alas no ribs, but we got our meat sweat on with a chicken burger and dog, plus cocktails with edible straws, which was a first. The food was good, addition of ribs would be welcome at a place like Jack's and you need to get on the fried prickles! That'd make us return should we ever be in town again. Good social distancing measures in place too.Special mention to Lewis who was hilarious. A natural at his job and is worth his weight in gold; a great balance of sass, nonchalance and excellent customer service, plus it meant my partner and I didn't have to have a conversation about the usual boredom topics with him around, not to distract from the rest of the team who were all lovely, but he's up for the craic which always aids an experience when you're muntered and wondering what you're doing in Stirling!?? The service and food was good - the disapointing thing was the cutlery and plates were plastic which made the food less enjoyable. The covid 19 pandemic simply does not justify this or staff wearing leather gloves (you can wash your hands but not your gloves guys).

Stayed overnight in Stirling, on way to see family in Elgin!! We stayed nearby so it was a short journey to the restaurants etc. Customer service at Monterey Jack's was great and staff were very clear about the social distancing guidance and the use of masks was fine. Food was lovely and plentiful. I had a classic Jack's burger and my hubby had "the hot jack" with jalapeno peppers. Staff were lovely with the children and would definitely return.

Ordered the chilli nachos and 2 Oreo milkshakes for my husband and I. They were delivered quickly with a portion of amazing pancakes on the house. The driver was very friendly! Food was delicious. Would definitely order again and we will be in to the restaurant once things reopen!
