Monsoona Healthy Indian Cuisine in Aberdeen City

We went a few days ago for a meal. Its a small restaurant and the food was lovely. The service was excellent. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was of the price. I'm not used to Aberdeen prices as I live in Spain. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Popped in with a mate for a late lunch, great food, pleasant staff and efficient timely service, good value. Happily go back again.

Absolutely delightful. Food was immense. One of, if not THE best Indian food we have ever eaten. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. Nice surroundings. Couldn't fault it. Offered 15% off next meal if we keep the receipt, which is a nice touch. Although we will definitely go there again, whether we still have the receipt or not!

We definitely didn’t expect to find one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever visited in Aberdeen, but we definitely did! We actually ended up ordering food both nights that we were in town and can’t say enough good things about the food or the staff. Highly recommended!

Food was all good enough and authentic. I've had better and cheaper in Scotland...then again I've had poorer. Tandoori Roti is expensive . Service included in the bill

Had ordered stuffed paratha , chips, spicy poppadoms, butter chicken.. Got it cold. Delivery was not on time. Disappointed with the food quality you serve to the customer.Paratha was not at all soft or fluffy.Not saying much, really disappointed.

Mixed opinions here. We visited on Wednesday evening and the place was full which was nice to see. Unfortunately the service suffered as a result of being so busy. 5 of us was crammed onto a table for 4 and service was very slow. We did manage to utilise the window sill to create some extra space though. After about 20 mins wait we had to request menus, cutlery and drinks. When the cutlery came, it was dumped in a pile and we were told to help ourselves. We ordered some poppadoms but had to ask for some side plates rather than the alternative of eating directly off the table. The food was really nice and the staff were friendly but the slow, informal service and poor attention to detail let the experience down. The venue is advertised as a healthy Indian restaurant. Apart from one generic sentence at the front of the menu and the sign stating it it a healthy Indian restaurant, I struggled to understand how this was the case. There was no calories printed or comparisons to a typical dish of that type or any other justifications that the food was any healthier than any other Indian Restaurant. I would visit again when it is less busy as they have lots of great reviews, I think we got them on a bad night.

Tremendous meal the chicken, prawns and moonfish was to die for! I recommend the little melon and grape dessert. The coffee was the best I've ever had!

Situated conveniently opposite the travel lodge on a wet Monday night. Had the Monk Fish with Tetul and pilau rice, which was lovely, washed down by a tasty mango lassi. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. Recommended.

We were served by a man whose name translates to “patience”, it was a great experience. Will 100% come again, food was great and service amazing. Patience was very friendly and attentive.

Fantastic restaurant, fantastic staff and service. Quite expensive compared with similar places but the food is better than amazing. They don't offer coffee or sweets which I think is a little bit unusual and a 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill which is something that I absolutely disagree with. I'd always leave a tip, but when a service charge is added automatically added, I'm afraid there is never a trip from me.

Have been before 11 months ago and the food was amazing. This time the currys were pretty awful. I wonder if the main chef was away? The currys were like school dinners. Homogenous gloopy sauce which was slightly darker on the surface from sitting under a heater. Nothing healthy about it. Meat was ok and the naan was still very nice. Also disappointed to be charged extra for the condiments that come with the rather expensive poppadoms Service was friendly and attentive.

Discoverd here by chance yesterday night , and wow this is a hidden gem as some on here have described. The food is amazing . However don't be like me and eat the purple plant as in the green part in the south Indian garlic chicken yip its a green chilli lol . You honestly won't be disappointed in the quality of the food .

Monsoona is a hidden gem. We have had many take-away and dine-in meals and I have never been disappointed with any of my food, and neither has my partner. The menu also has some meals that you won't find in other Indian restaurants. Service has always been prompt and friendly.

We picked this establishment online purely on location as we are visitors to Aberdeen but will definitely be back as it’s the best Indian food we’ve tasted.
