Monsoon in Redbridge

Just had a takeaway from Monsoon, as unfortunately restaurants are still closed. Ordered through just eat as you can pay online and its no contact delivery. Food was beautifull and really big portions. Delivery driver rang our bell and left it outside, felt very secure with everything is going on. Thank you so much for still be open as a takeaway and i hope you can fully open again soon.

We have never had a bad meal from Monsoon the onion bhajis are amazing ,the food is flavoursome and arrives early ,we look forward to our Monsoon takeaways .

I've been to this restaurant a few times recently and have really enjoyed the food. They have the standard dishes in regards to sides and mains but also have specials. The standard dishes are exactly that and you can get them anywhere and taste very similar however you should definitely try the specials. These dishes are really tasty and better than average. The waiting staff are attentive without being over bearing and the premises themselves are clean and tidy.

Always a good curry here... Friendly staff nice ambience and cold beer close to Hainault underground station.

We came here last minute due to the chinese restaurant we booked unavailable due to fighting inside and out,we arrived and were sat quickly,staff very attentive and food was very nice,nothing too much trouble,very reasonable price wise and will use again

Eat at Monsoon tonight with my husband and our 20 and 17 year old daughters. Had butter chicken, chicken korma and chicken tiki masala with nan and rice. Service was friendly and prompt and the food was delicious. We all enjoyed everything. So many Indian places on this street but this was the one to choose. Enjoy!

Wouldn't recommend. Very bland food. Tesco garlic nan is probably better than the one here. Save your money and go to a proper Indian!

Ok so if you eat here you might have to wait a while, whilst you are given copious drinks and starters but the food is worth the wait. Delicious and fresh, (the freshness being the reason for the wait) beautifully spiced and I have never known them get an order wrong- no matter how finicky it is! The waiters are friendly and very helpful. The restaurant run a first class delivery service too. I’m so glad this is my local!

This has to be one of the best Indian Restaurants I have been to. Great Selection of Dishes and Fantastic Value for Money.

This is our local Indian restaurant and visit at least once a month . The service is always good and the food is always tasty. Good value for money and a good choice of items on the menu .

It looked like it is the only Indian restaurant in the area and almost entirely booked. We were fortunate to get the last two seats. The food was average. Service was good.

Viernes 14 de octubre con mi 2 mi cuñado leyes es probablemente va a ser mi última visita como finalmente estoy mudando a tiempo completo a Escocia. El servicio y la comida que la noche era excelente, como siempre, y nuestro servidor hizo mucho esfuerzo para explicar los diversos platos (calor y sabor) en ofrecer a mis suegros. A diferencia de esto, como lo hizo, para mí es de Inglaterra, mi hermano en las leyes son tanto escocés y te digo ahora que el curry hasta allí son a veces muy diferentes a las que te dan en Inglaterra. Ejemplo es el pollo Tikka Masala (mi favorito). Rosa y un montón de cocoteros en Inglaterra, blanco cremoso y (no mucho sabor) en Escocia. Si quieres pasar una noche agradable, recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante. Como un mensaje partiendo de la personal - gracias por todos los años que me han suministrado con curry delicioso y buena suerte para el futuro.

I don't see the point why they ask for the note for the restaurant as they either don't read it or ignore it, I simply asked for coriander on the currys (not hard as its a ingredient used in currys) I always ask for extra on top but the request was obviously ignored, but every time is a bit annoying.

I have been eating here since I was a child with my parents. Now I bring my children here. Defo the best around for miles. Food always very tasty. Great to eat in or for a takeaway

I've been ordering from Monson for a few years now. The food is always great and comes in good portions. The staff are always lovely.

He estado aquí unas cuantas veces cuando he visitado Londres y nunca he sido decepcionado. La comida es increíblemente agradable y realmente disfrutar de los platos vegetarianos que tienen en el menú, el servicio es genial y es un lugar encantador para visitar. Usted podrá conseguir comida para llevar o tomar entrega y no esperar mucho tiempo para nuestra comida. 100% lo recomendaría y volveremos la próxima vez que esté en Londres.

went to the Monsoon on the 13th feb as it was mine and my daughter's birthday the place was spotless the staff were so lovely and couldnt do enought for you and as for the food its the best ive had we eat Indian food on a weekly basic but this was lovely there was 5 of us and everyone said the same we will defo go back

I've used them many times and usually have a good service, but this time I placed an order for a 19:30 delivery time, it arrived at 18:20 instead. I requested no onions and got onions in just about every dish and instead of a vegetable samba, received vegetable samosa's. Really the worst experience I've had from this restaurant.

my daughter ( 20 ) had never been for an indian meal. we live about a mile away in chigwell and had often seen it. we checked for reviews on trip adviser...they were good. the food was excellent. the waiter helped my daughter choose her dishes which proved to be totally to her liking. the waiters were attentive without being intrusive. as it was a tuesday we got the meal for the set menu price. we did not know about this which proved just how helpful the staff are. i would recommend this restaurant 100%. thank you monsoon for a brilliant meal and service.

At time the food its impeccable also the service. Monday nite take away : chicken tikka so sweet it could have been a dessert. Onion bhaji burnt and 3 not 4 pieces now per portion.My wife called to complain only to be disrespect by the waiter .i took the food back and had a nice chat to that waiter in question. Never again im going there. Sharod its unbeatable! !!

Went last night (17.10.15) in a party of 22 people. The food and service was as ever very good.The staff are a very friendly bunch.They will also refine your choices to your particular liking.Do make sure you go with a hearty appetite!Enjoy.

Delivery was 1hr 25 mins from original order. (5 min walk from restaurant.) Tandoori chicken was on the bone and not specified on menu. Some dishes were cold when delivered. Overpriced for what was received.

Had four different main dishes, all very old. lamb Lamb was tender and chilli heat just right.

I waited an hour and 35 minutes for my food after placing my order even though just eat told me it would be ready in 45 minutes. When I rung the takeaway to ask what was going on I didn't get an apology and the staff showed no urgency to hurry my order.

I'm done with the Monsoon now. Food was cold last week and they forgot the poopadom sauces, mediocre at best this week, and delivery time was over 1 hour 30 mins. Never using again.

Maybe we just had a bad night, but both our rice was undercooked and chicken was dry. Sauces delicious but for the money, I won't order here again.

I have been eating from here for years this will be the last time I order from here . As the portion size have gone down there was no warning on the menu telling you this and the price is still the same!!!! So you pay the same but get less I think this is not right 😡😡😡

I have dined in the restaurant on a few occasions but I also order food from here regularly. The curries here are second to none, one of the best curries I've tasted and I struggle to find Indian restaurants both in London and around the country that compare. Chances are you can go to a highly rated Indian restaurant, spend £20 per head and it won't beat or even match this place. I honestly can't rate this place highly enough and the price is reasonable and the service is also pretty good.

Easy to use divers time was only a couple of mins out food was nice but I ordered a prawn tikka masala and didn't like that the prawns were not peeled and dis not realise until biting as the sauce concealed this sheet very hard and cut mouth

Lovely little resturant, waiters are great,happy and helpfull, always make us feel welcome when we vist. Last nite was busy in there but the food was spot on, hot and tasty. Defo be back again

We have used this restaurant before without Just Eat's services however as we did not have a recent menu we were able to decide what we wanted ahead of ringing. It arrived ahead of the eta 😊 The only negative...the lid of my husband's madras had been squashed in with the weight of the other cartons on top of it but it wasn't a major issue as nothing had been spilt just a carton with a mucky bottom

Second time I've ordered from here, it took an hour to arrive last time, this time an hour and 10 mins, it's less than a mile away! Food was great last time, we ordered the same again but this time the food was warm and the meat was tough. The lamb rogan leaked out into the bag and I didn't realise until I noticed my work surface was covered in red grease which needed bleach to remove. I can ignore the length of time for delivery as I'd just order earlier but I can't use a restaurant with hit and miss food so I guess we are on the look out for somewhere new again...

Visited here on recommendation in the lull right after Xmas and New Year (Sat 3rd Jan). On arrival, early evening, there was only one other table of four in there and they were almost finished. We were led to a table that had clearly been used before as the stains were evident. But I only have myself to blame for not pointing this out. I had gone in there feeling chilled and optimistic. We ordered a soft drink and a vodka lime and soda which came fine. I ordered chicken madras and peshwari nan. I recall opting for a different type of rice than usual. I cannot remember the name but I was influenced by a holiday in Bali. Basically it was boiled rice with dessicated coconut. I don't know if this is what one should expect when ordering this rice. The peshwari nan was quite sweet, just nan with almond paste inside, have had better.Shortly after arriving a couple came in and were arguing with the staff for some time. It seems they are neighbours to the restaurant and were complaining about vermin. They were treated quite flippantly by the staff and on leaving turned to us to say how disgusting it is what they have to see going on at the rear.We did not really know what to think. After they left a member of staff explained to us that their refuse had not been taken and had been affected by the holidays and there is nothing they can do beyond keep phoning up the council. We discussed this between ourselves as we were aware that domestic waste had been collected that week but figured it might be different for trades.After this, the staff seemed to disappear and it was ages later when I was able to ask for another drink. I ordered a vodka lime and soda but when it arrived it tasted of lime and warm, still water. I had to call the staff and point this out. Another was brought out to me which was virtually plonked on the table and on the wrong side. II don't recall anything wrong with the food but the whole incident with the neighbours and the drinks had put a downer on things so we didn't really stay much after eating.It was only after leaving that I got to thinking about my own local Indian restaurant and the attentiveness they provide. You are plied with complimentary drinks just for turning up! The least they could have done here was offered all diners (all six of us) something complimentary for having to endure what we heard whilst eating from the neighbours (eg. there is vermin running around the back). Considering there were the same amount of staff as diners in the place the service was pretty dire and there was no excuse for the lack of attention and dirty linen.As I am aware that people I know have previously had a good experience here, I may be prepared to revisit but it is not at the top of my list.

The food took an hour and 10 minutes to arrive which is unacceptable as I live just 1.4 miles away. I rang after an hour and got no apology either. However I have to say that the food was outstanding, the lamb rogan melted in the mouth as though it had been slow cooked, the korma wasn't too sweet, everything was well cooked and flavourful. Next time I will have to remember to order well in advance and order poppadums too as you don't get any free.

monsoon is our favourite restraint. since we moved we were told to had to go to pick it up our self but we found just eat site, we could order by delivery now, we can have monsoon curry more often. Thanks for Just Eat !!!

It took an hour and a half from order to delivery. When it arrived (after I called) it wasn't that warm and the bread was hard. The best bit was the Popadums. Used this restaurant before and delivery time is always over an hour (disappointing), but food is normally slightly better.

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times and have found it to have a very lovely atmosphere. The food is exceptionally with reasonable price.the staff are really helpful and jolly they will recommend you dishes that are not even on the menu and get it to be done the way you like it. Definitely would recommend to everyone in this area.

Monsoon used to be a lovely little restaurant among a row of shops. It had atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Several years ago it was redecorated with a row of tables on each side of the dining area - it was a little like being back at school. The atmosphere was destroyed, and it meant that you could end up sitting so close to other customers that you would have to suffer their conversation, and end up in a tangle of elbows. Then when someone wanted to go out for a smoke everyone within their vicinity would be disturbed. I gave up on the Monsoon for two reasons: First of all, the staff do not seem to care who they serve and having had to listen to drunk loud mouthed middle aged women screeching and referring to their husbands with extreme swear words whilst there are families with children present at other tables was appalling. On the same evening, three of us were dining two men and a woman at a table when two men came in stinking of wherever it was they had been working, as if that wasn't bad enough one of them made a homophobic comment about one of my friends. Now the comment was out of hearing of the staff so they cannot be blamed for that, but they certainly could have turned the men away - they were filthy in their work clothes. I have a dirty job but wouldn't dream of going to a restaurant in what I had been working in. They could also have turned the drunk women out too, or asked them to moderate their language and tone. We never ate in there again. The second reason we gave up on there was that the quality of the meals was always hit and miss. When eating in, more often than not the food was good - never outstanding, but enjoyable and filling , always good portions. But when ordering takeaway often the food would be cold - yet it was only carried less than 800 yards. Again with takeaways there would be less meat, and it would seem to be poor quality - too salty, too greasy with oil everywhere, cold rice. Unpleasant. We won't go back.

Ordered and then received a phone call telling me I lived too far away to deliver and not to order via the app again which I thought was rude considering I was paying. If you do not want to deliver then enter the correct delivery zone so that you don't show as an available takeaway for my postcode. Won't be ordering again out of principle.

Everything was perfect!! Couldn't have asked for anything more!! Food was lovely and portions were good too!! Didn't have to wait long for delivery and when it arrived, the staff were lovely!! Would definitely recommend

I have eaten in monsoon a few times but have take away at least once a month, it's the best & by far the most tasty Indian around! AAAAA star Indian would recommend this to anyone around this area!

Tasty as usual - I just love their food!

We love Monsoon and usually go eat there in person. The addition to Just Eat is great. I think the delivery takes time because it's all prepared fresh, so am happy to wait, but it does seem like a long time when you're hungry.

Overall all good. Lamb needed to be a bit fresher.

1) food came over 1 hour 2) lamb jalfrezi had kebabs hashed in the dish I.e this is not a lamb jalfrezi dish 3) keema nan - which means lamb mince bread, contained a hash up job of coloured chicken minced 4) King prawn dish was the only consolation 5) No refund offered by the takeaway and when I called to ask what was in the nan bread the guy tried to tell me that the type of meat was mince i.e. would not confirm chicken or lamb, and basically thought by saying it was mince (a process rather than a meat) he could justify the poor quality food. This is no authentic Indian restaurant
