First time here and really enjoyed it, very cheap kids enjoyed their selves in the play area, not to packed and the food was spot on. Not a fault for this place.

Not accepting order on justeat and not phone ia going straight to answer phone and can't leave a voicemail. Avoid ordering online. Auch a shame because the food is nice and normally delivery isn't a problem. Don't know what the problem is all of a sudden but it's ridiculous.

Diner was falling apart, staff were shouting at each other throughout the restaurant. All servers (women of course) had no hospitality skills/ customer service skills looked like they were just picked off the streets. Avoid.

I made the mistake in July of 2017 to take my family Monolos. It was disgusting - service, non existent hygiene and atrocious food. I thought in October 2019 I was arrogant in hindsight and needed to be fair. I convinced some friends to come along. Oh my... it was like stepping into 2017 again. It was disgusting. We did not eat the food and paid and left. Strangely the shisha lounge next door is owned by another brother of the Monolo’s mistake. We had phenomenal sushi and hunger kicked in and the owner of the shisha lounge brought a food menu - we went for burgers. You Jawad can cook! The burger was amazing and the chips were delicious. Unfortunately lockdown has made visits to the shisha lounge impossible. Please go and enjoy the shisha and the food is excellent! Ask for Jawad - the boss man. Message to Mr Butt owner of Manolos - please stop. Your place is disgusting - the food is grotesque. The kids play area is a disaster waiting to happen. Why you serve cheap knock off drinks is understandable because you maximise profits but serving a cheap coke and then charging for the real thing is criminal! Your food hygiene rating is like the place itself - A disaster!

Before even stepping foot inside: No ramp access but has a children’s play area? Instantly put me off I wanted to turn away because I couldn’t get my pram up the steep steps alone, for an establishment that has been open this long you’d think they would have sorted this out by now Tables and floor dirty Staff unprofessional and seemingly untrained Prayer room stank of cigs Food is not great depends on the day and what you order Deserts ok I guess but just go a bit further down the road there’s better desert places now anyway not worth wasting your time at monolos

Great place to take children as there is a huge play area. Food was extremely good for the price. Got a huge burger and chips and a drink (with a free refill) all for under £10. Would definitely return!

Very loud music considering that there is a play area for young children. Staff appeared to be young and rather rude. I asked if they had a prayer room... and the girl giggled and asked someone to show me who was also sniggering... (i missed the joke). So i didnt find it... so i asked the young lad... he showed me and was smirking the whole time. It basically stank of smoke... i didnt even end up praying.... it absolutely reeked. High chair needed a good scrub... so did the tables.... Food was good though... ordered burgers... was happy with that. Staff deffo need to learn how to talk and deal with paying customers. Wont be coming here again.

I have been to this dinner on a number of occasions in the past, however not in the last 3 months, so Visit was for 4 adults and 4 children on a Friday evening, I was extremely disappointed with the experience, as we were shown to our seating area, the tables of very dirty and the seals of the table was coming off, we asked the waiter to clean the table, he did but the whole place just felt very grubby and run down, as I went to place my order at the counter, the waitress didn’t seem to be bothered, she kept talking to her colleagues whilst taking my order, seemed like she was doing me a favour. Food was ok, not as great as I remember it used to be, I recall meeting the owner of the place in the restaurant a few years back and he was really nice, i wonder if he knows how bad the standards have slipped with the staff he has left in charge, overall the service was really poor especially the staff on the counter, the whole place needs a deep clean and a tidy up.

Food is amazing... could do with revamping the place and food being served hot! Other than that the food is amazing and service is good.

F****** awful service. Food took over an hour to come out. People ordered after us and got thier food first. The woman that looks like the supervisor had a face like a slapped a** the whole time, could learn some customer service skills! The rest of them were a bunch of kids running around. No order at all.......food was standard.

Every time I come here the staff make me feel very welcome . The food is very good quality with a good price. Definitely get more than worth for your money. Kids love it . Perfect for the family. Or even just when your craving a late night desert . Monolos is a must! Recommended

I have ate here on many of occasions and Explosive Parmo is my favourite mains, it is very good and you enjoy every bite. You can select two sides with it and i get onion rings and creamy mash which goes very well with it. Sticky bbq wings are very good, definitely a must for starters. Iman the manager is very helpful and kind. Kids enjoy it too as they have a play area in the restaurant. A**** all the way.

Nice indoor place for playing, and food is too delicious.testy burgers and kids manue. I am giving 3 stars only becosue toddler place mates need to be replaced i am visiting this place for many years but unfortunately they never changed their mats they are really ribbed.

I had to write this review as i have been going here for a while and i must say what a improvement. The management seem to have pulled up their socks and what a result. The Steaks we got were so tender and delicious as well as the waffles we got. If you haven't been here you must try it. Well done guys

Went here for birthday party. Was good. Staff quiet helpful and alert all around. Wouldn't say it's the best play centre but it's good if u want somewhere to eat where kids can have play around

Went in on Friday night. Not very busy. Lots of tables dirty and full of rubbish. Plenty of staff just eating food in front of customers...very unprofessional... We order a burger...not fresh at all. Drinks arrived wrong...staff seem to not bodering a part from one member of staff able to talk in Italian as well... Very dirty place...shocking toilets... I think we need an inspection from environmental health...

After a recommendation from friends (couples) I decided to go with my family and 1 year old son. Upon entering the seating area, the table offered was unclean as was the floor. I can’t understand for the life of me why the staff aren’t designated and assigned to the task of making sure tables are clean. If short staffed then management hire more! The place is pretty run down especially the play area for kids. It’s the worst play area I have ever come across. My poor son wanted to go and play but I couldn’t bring myself to letting him, the toys were dirty and tired looking. The balls From the pool need a good scrub too. The floors are filthy. I was afraid of us catching something! I don’t mean to be negative but you’re crazy if you think this a Place for kids because it certainly isint! I was disappointed with this place considering I’d travelled 15 miles to get there. Come on Mr Manager pull your finger out and give the place a refurb!

Really disappointed this place has gone down hill and needs a serious revamp. The play area is tired and dirty. The tables were not clean and the food is terrible. The kids chicken burger tasted and smelt off putting. The salt n pepper chips were soggy and tasted reheated. And the milkshake was watery. Kids who work here are clueless. We won’t be returning.

I’ve visited many times with family and we love it every time. Staff are friendly and not awkward at all. Kids love the play area. The atmosphere is happy. Just need to remember to tell the staff how you want the steak. The lamb steaks are to die for.

Great burgers, wings and shakes. Which we enjoy when the kids keep themselves busy in the large play frame.

Have to say, after giving Monolo's a second shot, the food and service has been amazing. My family (parents, siblings and their young children) had a fabulous time in the company of the team, their service and food. Those salt and pepper wings and the lamb chops were finger licking good. The first time I had food from here (as a takeaway) it wasn't too great. Wasn't willing to give it another shot but a sibling who has eaten here before told me it was a one-off. I shared my first experiences with the stand-in manager on the visit we ate in. Have to say she went above and beyond to change my bad experience. Food was good and service was great - I'm swung. Will be coming back here again for sure. Thank you Abbey and the team.

Love the atmosphere in this place. Clean place and clean food. Well presented and the chicken wings are amazing. I Always come to this place when I'm in Manchester and the staff are very friendly.

As the stars reflect. Its OK. The food is standard, would NOT recommend the steaks, desserts are good. Staff are nice but young and some do not know the basics of customer service. They have a great location and good kids facilities is why they're busy. Recommendations for the owners. Improve the quality of your food and service and you will have a great business.

Been to Monolos a few times. Cannot complain 😎. Great for the children's birthday party and in all, nice, tasty buffet food and appopriate ambiance with great resources for the children to play in

Travelled to monolos after school with the kids first time to the restaurant my food was great the kids loved their food and the play area very cheap and will return soon

This is the perfect place to hold your child's birthday party, no stress, no food shopping, no decorating yr house and no wondering what to put in the party bags, everything is done for you, the only thing you need to worry about is, the cake, the kids food order and keeping an eye on the kids having lots of fun. The staff are lovely, helpful and funny, the staff who were working the day we visited were great (shout out to Mo & Abi), they had so much patients with us (even if they didn't really want too ). The food is always good, that's another reason we chose to celebrate here (we loved the desserts). Definitely recommend as a great venue (No cleaning up after either)

L han sido a monolos varias veces a lo largo de los años y todo l vimos fue el deterioro con el tiempo, la única cosa con esto por el momento y lo principal es el que la comida es fantástica y tiene un gran potencial.

They serve really nice burgers and a very good variety of chips. They also have a nice children play area, which can be great if you have children, but so annoying if you don't. The major down side here is that they don't take cards (cash only) and the nearest cash machine is like 10 minutes away in the cold.

Nice place with good kids play centre facility

Went to monolos after hearing great things about it. When we were seated we were never told that we need to order at the till. We waited 10 - 15mins for someone to take our order but than realised we had to order at the til. When the food came. We got 3 dishes and was told the 4th dish was coming in 5mins. As we didn't feel it was right starting to eat until everyone food is here we waited. After 10 mins we reluctantly started to eat slowly becuase food was getting cold than after a few more mins we was told the dish was missed of the order and it going to be 10 more mins. After 15mins the last dish finally came but rest of the food was cold. If we told originally than we would have sent the food back and let them bring it out at once. But the food was nice even thow it was cold. Thry did apologise for the mistake. Other than that the place was very cold

Just came her for lunch with my friend and her toddler. Was impressed with the food, good portions , tasty and good choice. Nice play area for kids although there was no heating in the play area and was freezing. Would have give it a five but my daughter ordered a milkshake and was told the ice cream machine wasn't turned on. Fair enough it was very quiet only us and another family, but stop being stingy with the leccy!! had a fizzy refill instead and was told we had to physically bring our empty glasses to them for a refill . Will return nice food x ordered the fish with two sides £10 super tasty x

Hoy he visitado con mis hermanos monolos y un amigo. Aunque me sentí la hamburguesa era satisfactorio no puedo decir nada de los lados buen sabor. Yo estaba muy sorprendido al ver el estado de los inodoros y el personal me pareció allí por una social y no a trabajar. Realmente creo que la dotación debe ser investigado y la limpieza de la cena debe solucionarse lo antes posible ya que es muy desagradable

Last ever trip to this place@ It was disgusting, left a raw vein in the chicken partly was rubbery, you can tell it's cheap quality even by smelling it. THE SERVICE WAS REALLY GOOD not complaining on that department, and the fact my child was having fun on the climbing frame.

Very dirty toilets disgusting!!! When we try to make order the new lady was on a phone keep smiling and talking having fun and let us stand in there more then 10 min!! We been in Monolos many time before and never have a problem but since they changed the staff it's not welcoming place!! Please if Monolos don't like to keep loosing customers get some cleaners and look more after toilets and play area + lock back gate because it's always open and the door out as well !!

Me gustaría empezar con que si no está por la comida picante, entonces quizás no tienen muchas opciones aquí en este restaurante.

Estado aquí unas cuantas veces para fiesta del partido última 2. 5 horas, pero el personal es muy bueno y dejar pequeños a jugar incluso después de la 2. 5 horas más lugares como este mantenga a su límite de tiempo de aproximadamente 1. 5 horas! La comida también es muy buena tanto para adultos como para niños.

Todos los empleados son entre 16 y 18, y para ser honesto no sé completamente el menú. Pedí un masala chai - dieron un té inglés con una semilla arrojaban. Se puede decir que la comida es simplemente comprar en el supermercado por la carretera y calentado aquí con un 50% de subida. Más preocupante es la forma descuidada el área de juegos, y estoy bastante seguro de que podría olor a orina en bits. Incluso pagamos más por el área de juegos internet, pero me di cuenta de la mayoría de otras personas sólo compré comida y luego enviaron a sus hijos a jugar, así que no hay control real.

Visited 17-4-17 with hubby and 8 year old twins Were greeted at door and took to a table near play area by very friendly staffGirls ate and played at a very reasonable price and me and hubby ate and had coffee Food was served quickly and was hot and fresh and tasted goodWe then we're able to sit and relax with coffees while girls carried on playing in the play area which is suitable for all ages Will definately be returning

We visited with our two kids. Parking was easily available on the side or around the back. We were not welcomed or greeted in any way and the staff seemed quite casual.We had to wait a little to place our order as there was only one till. I dont know if this is normal but I can see it being a problem at busy times.The kids loved it when they saw the play area and they were off. The tables are located next to the play area and you can always keep your eye on them which is great.We ordered a couple of burgers and a hot dog. The burgers were good but they could have been a bit more generous with the sides. The hot dog was a seekh kebab in a bun, good but not a hot dog.All in all its a place worth going to (more so if u want kids to be have a bit of fun). I will certainly go again but the customer service does need to improve.

When you have toddlers to keep entertained but wanna eat in peace, this is the place to go. Book a table near the play area and the kids can go play while you wait about 15 mins for food, there's no fuss about not wanting to eat cos they've worked up an appetite by playing, and once they're done they can go play again while you're able to eat and chat at leisure, brilliant concept. This is the only diner I actually like coming to with young kids. Food is tasty and made reasonably quickly and pretty cheap too considering the massive portions, especially burgers that come with coleslaw and a side of your choice, and a once refillable drink. Love to come to this place. The only downside is the parking where you have to park round the back street but it's safe.

I often call into Manolos with muslim friends as it is a good place to get halal food on the edge of Manchester that isn't curry. The Manolos sub meals are great value and are both tasty and filling. The used to do an excellent plate of beef ribs in a bbq sauce but unfortunately the demand mustn't have been there because it is no longer on the menu.There are two areas, the top part has American style booths and the bottom is a huge play area for children with seating for the parties. The children all seem to have a great time.The staff are students/student age and are all friendly and helpful.Whilst I agree with some of the reviews that the decor is starting to look a bit tired and the till/ordering area gets crowded as it is a small area, the diner is usually busy and the staff are always on the move. I recently went there with a 'picky' person and she didn't utter a complaint and in fact spoke highly about the food and coffee.Definitely give the place a try, especially if you've got children.

Visited monolo's on the weekend. We were not acknowledged upon arrival. Once we were we were given a table. Went to the toilet to wash the children's hand & change nappies. I was trying to shut the toilet door only to find the alignment of the actual door makes it not shut. Then we waited 10 minutes in a queue to order which didn't seem to get anywhere. The children had started playing but kept coming back as other children in the play area were doing wrong things. Climbing up the slide, or just lay on the slide so others couldn't pass. In the space of me being there were 3 people complaining. The staff seemed run off their feet with no organisation or structure. There didn't seem to be an authoritative figure (manager) about. There was no customer service, no smile, no friendliness no warmth. The play area was over crowded with no sense of health & safety.The restaurant was not very clean, and I don't mean surface like table tops but more under table on chairs. The queuing for the till is a health & safety issue in itself. There is only 1 till to order from. The place needs a refurb. It's a shame because the food going out looked ok but that wouldn't keep me long enough. I'm really disappointed as I heard good reviews. I think they should introduce table service as it would give them better structure & organisation or get more tills and change the way the customers queue.

I went there with my wife and my niece and nephew for a dessert and a drink. The delay by the order counter was unnecessary considering the few people that was in there and the staff who stood around doing nothing other than playing with their phones! The quality wasn't special (I'm only talking about the waffles, nachos, and the spiced teas we ordered, not about everything there). The place was highly recommended by my relatives in Manchester, who said that service and quality are usually good, but not on this occasion... I don't think I would go there again.

Went here tonight and first impressions was I was apprehensive. Place is shabby but makes up for it with the food. Food was delicious, and out of 11 of us, everyone enjoyed their dish. Staff really nice and helpful. Would definitely go back

Went there with friends for a quick easy meal and the food was nice! The place could do with a renovation though! A little shabby if your looking for a more uptown meal/ atmosphere but possibly great for people with children as it's colourful and has a children's play area

Recently attended a 6th birthday party here. Staff were friendly, food was delicious. Kids and adults alike had a great time. Well worth a visit.

This is the third birthday party I've done for my kids at Monolos. The food is great for both children and adults. The management are helpful and accommodating and know what they are talking about. The staff are attentive and really wanting to help make the party run smoothly.The kids love the play area and the parents, year on year, love the wings, chops and monolos chicken burgers. Definitely would recommend Monolos to all.

We have been here before but on this occasion it was my 5 year olds' birthday. The staff are very friendly and helpful, tasty food, quick service, very good milkshakes and waffles. Play area for kids is also nice and clean. Don't delay just go there!

We visited Monolos Ina Friday evening. There were 3 adults and 3 children. It wasn't busy which was good. The place was clean- again good. When we ordered the food, it took a while to come. Once it came, we had to ask for cutlery twice. The chicken was a bit on the dry side. Maybe we needed to request it to be made different I don't know? Food was of good quality. I think management weren't around that day. Just loads of young people. Kids had a whale of a time though. THey loved the indoor play area, and we're very happy with the chicken strips and curly fries

I visit this place with my two lily gals every now and then but yesterday it was super packed.there were 3 birthdays going on same time and other ppl as well. For health and safety reasons there was no max no of children limit in the playing area.Toddler area was totally occupied by the birthday boy and his friends around the age of 13/14 yrs old and no one was there to stop them.though they have good number of staff.Over all standard is drastically declined .They must set some standards.If we talk about food, standArds r missing. No ketchup no napkins. Over all this time we were really disappointed. And also we were being told to change our seats twice for a birthday party.Management should maintain some standards.

Appalling customer service from Asif! Was told I was going to be seated and if I didn't like it I could just leave the premises instead! With 2 children ages 2 and 5 I was told to sit at the bar. This unsafe seating was acceptable for monolos staff. Customers allowed to reserve a whole booth without the full party at the restaurant. Had to stay due to kids wanting to play but will not be returning!

Good food everytime we come here, they do a lot of different types of food, subs, burgers, steaks, wings etc! And very fairly priced! It's also great for kids as they have a massive play area

Visited this place with a couple of my friends who have kids. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves as the place offers an indoor play/area but the food offered was pretty mediocre and the service left something to be desired. Would recommend to people with kids who want to be able to have a quiet bite without worrying about their children for a few mins...

Poor quality of meat/food and issues around hygiene. Play area needs regular sanitisation to eradicate odours. Customer service was satisfactory.

Great place for kids as they have purpose built play area inside restaurant and good fun Kids menu is not great though. Should increase range of healthier foods and have alternatives for kids that don't eat burgers. Deserts lovely though. Overall defiantly worth going too as keeps kids happy :)

Very rude staff who look lifeless and really do not care about service, a lot of teenage attitude when asking for plates to eat out starter they expected 11 of us eat out of 2 plates. Food is average, witnessed owner shouting at his staff once which was horrible no wonder the kids Cba giving good service.

Came here with my family for the first time, after seeing some good reviews about this place.I was not disappointed!The staff were fantastic, constantly checking up on the entire family - asking if we were okay and getting refills for us.The staff members were very good with the children and always looking after the children.It gave me and the wife some breathing space for us to go out and enjoy some outstanding food.Getting on to the food, it was phenomenal. I particularly enjoyed the meat feast sub and the wife had a Monolo steak, it was exceptional, I have never tasted anything like it.The lamb chops were the best I have ever tasted. Definitely the best in Manchester.The little guy behind the bar, I think his name was George, said that he will make us some special mojitos, and he wasn't lying, they were amazing. Even the waffles, better than most dessert places in ManchesterThis is definitely the place to go if you have a family. Good play centre, good atmosphere, brilliant food and even better service!!!

We have been here many times and love it, the staff are lovely and the play area is a god send while you eat your meal the young ones can play and then we sort them after have also had a few date nights here away from play area at the front of premises really cosy

Terrible service, half of the items on the menu were not available. Fixtures, fittings and decor must have been done by Homer Simpson! Customers need to be aware of the treacherous car park beside the building.

I had an infant with me. His white socks were black in the 30 - 40 minutes we forced ourselves to stay. It was during the week. Off peak time. Never returning. Clean and degrease the entire venue please.

Absolutely brilliant. Food was fantastic and kids got to play whilst we were eating. Read some on the previous bad reviews and personally i dont know what they are talking about. i have my own business and appreciate it is impossible to please everybody. Some people wouldn't be pleased if you paid off their mortgage. its just the world we live in unfortunately. ANYWAY must try waffles after food, delicious!!!! well done !!

I have been to this restaurant before but during my last visit after eating the chicken I started to feel very unwell - I have spent two days unable to get out of bed due to severe stomach cramps . I have had an upset stomach before but the violence this time has left me shaking and tired even when the immediate symptoms subsided . I would rather eat from the bins than eat in this dirty place ever again !!!!

I visited here with my partner and our two year old son. We couldn't get a table near the play area so to enable my son to play meant one of us sat alone at the table. There was a kids party on at the time and the play area was utter chaos. No age restrictions and bigger kids running about without any supervision even by their own parents!! My son got pushed and hurt himself then kicked in the head by an older boy (albeit the kick was by accident) we decided it was just too rough and dangerous for him to be in there! The food wasn't great. It looked and tasted like microwaved/processed food. Staff were very young and seemed like they didn't even want to there! We were in and out within half an hour and we definitely won't be returning in a hurry.

Came here today for the first time and was not disappointed. BBQ wings were the best Ive ever had anywhere, amazing! Garlic and herb steak was nice and peppercorn sauce complimented it well. Waffle was also top notch. There were two errors in our order so more attention to detail is required. Place can also get noisy as its for the kids but I expected that anyway. Toilets were immaculate and waiters were hard working. Will definitely return.

went on Friday night for somewhere to take the kids....first time and the food was impeccable...a lot of choice,,,and portions are absolutely huge...kids were real happy due to the play area...and what other place is open past 7.30 for kids in Manchester?Desert the waffle is definitely something to try.....

Brilliant service. Brilliant food. Can't fault the place.

Visited here on bank holiday monday with my husband and 2 year old daughter. I have been previously and it has never been as bad as it has been today. No staff supervising the play area with kids pushing and shoving each other on the slide. Kids running up the slide whilst other children are coming down. One kid was pushed off the slide by another aggressive kid. The 'baby area' full of overgrown children bashing each other with the soft play and in turn hurting two babies in there. I complained to one of the female workers and was met with no response. Our table was given to someone else twice since we entered. The toilets were absolutely disgusting. Will not be going back after this.

amazing food....affordable and excellent customer service....you need to try at least once and will not be disappointed. quality food and a good experience for the little ones

I have been here several times and each time if has been dirty but the last time it was absolutely disgusting. The floor has not been cleaned, tables rarely cleaned, 3 out of four toilets were dirty with faeces. I know someone who has taken cleaning products and cleaned the toilet herself prior to using it The staff are friendly and lovely but the cleanliness lets this place down and I will not go back again or recommend this to anyone.The food tastes good and is affordable but I hate to think what the hygiene is like in the kitchen.

Second time here and will be back. Burgers taste great and are really good value. Just what's needed after a bit of disco damage.
