Monkeys in Croydon

It was delivered pretty quickly which had me concerned about the quality of the food but as always, there were no issues there. Would be 5 stars but my issue is with the pricing. I guess price wise it's reflective of the current market but I paid for the items, the delivery, the service charge and then 15p for a bag. I got 20% off but ended up nearly paying the same price.

The food arrived really hot and was super delicious..even though the poppadums were all broken..will defo order again..the best take away curry we had in a really long time.

Delicious food - loved the keema naan (best one we have ever had!!). Samosas were smaller than imagined but still delicious. Curry and pilau rice was lovely and very worth it. Thanks to the lovely delivery driver who was very kind and friendly. Definitely found a new favourite restaurant in the area!

disappointed. The chicken starter and bhajis felt like the were re-cooked

Paying £18.65 for king prawn biriyani I was expecting great things. Instead I got a large portion of rice with 3 small bits of prawns in it. It was almost a vegetarian dish. Avoid this place!

Fabulous indian food after a longtime

The food tasted good but unfortunately I got stomach ache and upset belly right after eating the meal. Been unwell for 24 hours. I just want the restaurant to know.

Delicious meal. First time ordering and did not disappoint. I stupidly didn’t check location before ordering and didn’t realise Monkeys is a 30 min drive away. Driver was so apologetic when he arrived but there was no need.

Good curry, just took nearly 2 hours to arrive

Regularly order from Monkeys, but today the delivery was late and initially I didn't receive an update. When I requested a text, the delivery time was still 10/15 mins later than the updated time! Delivery ended up being almost an hour after the time originally given, and the food was cold. Disappointing!

not as good as normally is unfortunately, garlic and cheese naan not very garlicy or cheesy - tikka masala sauce not as creamy as usual

Advertised 2 shakes but got one very small shake. Disappointed.

The Lamb Dhansak had only 4 small cubes of lamb which was very fatty, a lot of gravy and not enough Lentils to thicken it. Really poor.

Appreciate it was very busy and Monkeys let Just Eat know meal would be delayed - so got texts keeping me informed. Food was very tasty, Crazy Jalfrezi & Mom's Curry - good thick sauces and good size portions - chicken tender, lamb was a bit tough. Naan was taken off Tandoor before it was baked through - so very doughy- Potatoes & Mushroom Rice tasty. Reasonable price with the discount - will certainly order again but WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FREE VEGETABLE CURRY OR BOMBAY ALOO PORTION ON ORDER SOVER £20?? - (OFFERED ON DROPDOWN)

Food didn’t taste authentic or fresh. Paneer was overdone and hard to chew, dal was too spicy and was overpowered with the clove flavour. Roti was too thick and chewy.

The food is fine, but the delivery driver typed a road name in and ended up trying to deliver to a completely different address (which didn't exist)

I didn’t regret it but I’ve easily had better especially for the price. Be prepared to heat it up when it gets to you.

Delicious well portioned hot food

Absolutely Gorgeous meal. We had the Sheek kebab starter very tasty & the lamb samosas were nicely filled & spiced. We ordered the incredible lamb Xacuti curry, the cauliflower bhaji side (cauliflower al-dente in a thick mild curry sauce), and even the egg pilau was the best we've tried anywhere. The star of the show was the cheese & garlic naan. Soft, cheesy & buttery. Arrived on time. Highly recommend.

I found glass in my rice. Very disappointed as I have ordered from them many times before. What is even more concerning is I had shared the food with my children.

On delivery the pasanda had been completely spilled into the bag and covered everything, not only that it leaked all over my floor meaning I now have to clean the carpet. When I called them the restaurant were very apologetic about the situation and after some discussion they offered to re-send the entire meal. The second delivery was quick and the food was delicious as it always is from Monkeys. Unfortunate accident due to poorly sealed container or delivery guy being over enthusiastic with his delivery speed. I'm sure I will order again based on the quality of the food but I hope they take note and make sure food containers are fit for purpose and properly sealed before handing to the delivery guy.

The first Indian order ever I’m Indian and never tasted better food honestly brings me home !!!

I placed the order at 7:30 and it was delivered at 9:00PM

It was estimated to be 30minuets before I placed the order at 8:30pm, but then the food came at nearly 10pm and was cold, I usually use them regularly so hopefully this doesn’t happen again.

Used to order from Monkeys all the time then it went down hill. So I thought tonight let’s give it another go, I won’t do it again. Garlic chilli chicken tikka I don’t know where the garlic was or the tikka, had a hint of chilli, the chana masala tasted pretty much the same as the chicken did and they were suppose to be different curry’s. The lamb chops were cooked well but not a lot of flavour. Popadoms came without any yogurts a little bit stingy on the restaurants behalf. Shame this used to be one of the best Indian take aways near us.

This is our regular curry delivery. Most of the time it’s amazing, other times it’s slightly bland. But this is still our go to takeaway! Decent prices too

Ordered the chicken tikka with Pilau rice, vegetable samosas and chilli naan, and I was not dissapointed. The food was amazing🔥😋 its been a while since i have purchased from Monkeys but this filling&tasty meal reminds me of why it's such an awesome restaurant.

Authentic Indian food and fresh and food flavours , large portions and fair price and good service.

I love this restaurant, but today the food wasn't great! Everything seens watered down and tasteless. My curry, mint yoghurt, and even the mango chutney was liquid. My breads were cold and hard. Very unusual for Monkeys, not great day today guys!! 😕

My only worry about Monkeys is that you cannot track delivery. Other than that, I love the food.

The order was meant to include rice, which they omitted. I had to phone them to deliver the rice.

Poppadoms were not fresh although we ordered when it opened. Curry was lovely as always and Bhaji great but chicken tandoori starter dry.

Delivery time exspected 7.40-8pm Finally recived my food at 9.15 FOOD FREEZING COLD. Rang the restaurant 3 times each time the lied about delivery time. I watched the delivery man walking up the road with my FOOD IN A PLASTIC BAG, not a heated bag or seals on the food from restaurant!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM

For some reason I asked for mango ice cream On the dessert section and I was given a mango smoothie Which I didn't ask for I have had a mango ice cream before from other Indian restaurants I was confused why in the desert section they have mango And then I sending you a smoothie

I ordered tandoori chicken as a main... It didn't have much flavour other than chilli heat which was disappointing. The lamb tikka masala tasted nice but the lamb was quite fatty. The portions are smaller but the price is higher... I would order from here again but less frequently.

Still the best Indian takeaway in town by far. Just a shame they’ve changed recipie/done some cost saving… Dhansak less sweet/sour with a depth of flavours, more just…”spicy (hot)” : also less lentil based, more tomatoey/gravy. Saag aloo was basically just a mush of over-blended spinnich. They also didn’t give the pot of yoghurt that usually comes with the bhajis. I preferred the new bhajis to usual though… Overall still the best in town. It’s a shame this time it wasn’t as good as usual but…meh I’ll get over it it was still delish!!!

Great food - really tender lamb which isn’t always common in takeaway. Delivery driver was super friendly and I appreciated that it was put into a plastic bag because I wasn’t nervous about a leaking brown bag. Recommend.

I order take away and food was excellent specially butter chicken , saag paneer, cheese Nan. Surprise delivery is within 35 minutes.
