Absolutely excellent evening with lovely food, a great atmosphere and staff that looked after us - highly recommended!

We went there for the first time being intrigued by the Japanese/Peruvian style menu. Sounds weird but was actually great. They offer a menu deal for 20GBP for a start and a main and you can add a beer or housewine for a total of 25GBP. There are some supplements through for starters and mains. Still a good deal in my opinion. We had the Tuna Tartare and the Beef Tataki as a starter. Both delicious. For the main we both had the Rump Steak. This cut can be a bit tricky as it is sometimes a bit chewy. I ordered it blue and it came blue (not a lot of restaurants do that). After it has rested a bit on the plate it was lovely to eat. The waiters are very nice, attentive and vibrant as the place itself. Definitely go in there if you are in that area. Very good choice!

Nice food but very poor service. Had a booking and when we arrived and gave the name, the hostess disappeared. We thought she was preparing our table but then saw her serving tables: someone else came and said the other person would come back and then left. Finally a 3rd person came and took us to our table. After that the service got better but after we had our food, we were ignored the rest of night and struggled to order dessert and pay the bill. Overall service was disorganised and some servers fairly rude. It’s a shame as the food was nice but the service doesn’t make you want to return.

The managers were so lovely and made the experience for us amazing. We got to the brunch about 6 but didn’t leave until past 1 as the atmosphere was that good! Although we were slightly late due to train delays, we were ensured to still have our brunch experience with extra time added on drinks for us, they did everything we could to have an amazing night.

We booked here to celebrate my birthday dinner. There was roughly 20 of us and I have to say the communication and ease of booking and doing a pre order was absolutely brilliant. They were very quick to reply to my emails and the process was very smooth. The menu had loads of choice and we thought it was very reasonably priced. The food was delicious and cocktails also. The only note I would add was that the bathrooms were pretty gross. My party started arriving and were pretty shocked at the state of the bathrooms. Toilet roll everywhere, not clean and even vomit on the toilet seats and floor. One of my party mentioned it to the bar staff who did seem to act accordingly and resolve the issue but maybe something they should check more often themselves?

Amazing Vegan food! So great to get an exciting vegan meal. Starter of crispy gyozas. Lots of different flavours to excite the tastebuds. Main of cauliflower steak on fennels an cauliflower purée with zingy salsa with chilli and beetroot. Highly recommended!

The worst food ever. Had king prawns lol tiny shrimps more likrly. Waitress said there would be 9 prawns, found 4 only bathing in garlic pool, croquetas, more like mushi dog food… cocktails were ridiculous, hardly any alcohol, run away from this dump please

We'd booked a table to eat. It was a bank holiday and was quite rowdy in the bar area when we arrived. The food was very rich and ever so greasy, i enjoyed some of the dishes, others not so much. A meal and drinks for two came to just over £200 with a service charge of around £25. We wanted to carry on drinking at the table after our meal. The staff advised they needed to close our food bill but we could stay and "pay as you go" for drinks. We settled the food bill and ordered more drinks and they applied another service charge of about £5 for one round! Had we not challenged it they would have continue to apply the service charge for each round of drink, which is really poor practice considering we'd just paid a decent service charge for our meal. Wasn't impressed by this at all.

Nice food specially if you are looking for gluten free options. Delicious and interesting Peruvian Japanese dishes. Friendly staff and lively atmosphere

We were really late to our brunch due to train delays, but the team and in particular the managers were so helpful, and extremely welcoming and did everything they could to ensure we could still have our brunch. Really good price for a brunch too with a good atmosphere so will definitely be coming back!

I often go to Cafe Sol on a weekend but this is a brilliant alternative. Fun bar which is really well decorated and is fun to be in.

We booked a bottomless brunch with Mommi for our friends birthday. Beatrice was incredible. She replace the food and drinks speedily even with minimal seconds to spare. We had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend and come again. Would recommend mommi’s great food, drinks and service!!!❤️❤️❤️

Visited again as there was a new menu and we were NOT disappointed. If you love small / medium plates to share - a bit like tapas, there are PACKED with flavour then this is for you. They offer everything from vegan to meat lovers....

They really should make customers aware they charge nearly £2 for soda water! My order was wrong and the waitress tried to tell me it wasn’t (wrong mixer and no cordial). They remade it but left the cordial out again.

It was more expensive for a single tequila soda than for a cocktail. The service was slow and they got our order wrong multiple times. Don’t come here unless you have a lot of money and a lot of patience

The bottomless brunch here is fantastic. Unlike most other places they leave the bottle, so you can pour self - as soon as the bottle is empty, they will replace it. I had the vegan brunch burger which was fantastic - the brunch includes two cocktails, one at the start and one at the end, both of which are fantastic. Our server was named Harry and he was so lovely, incredibly attentive and friendly the whole time. Would recommend!

Didn’t get to eat in the restaurant as it was fully booked for Valentines. However the host Sylvia was exceptional, she welcomed us, teased us with the menu and told about the great deals on throughout the week. Her personality, energy and charisma were amazing and this was just the first point of contact in the restaurant. She was so lovely we decided to stay for a drink to soak up the vibes and thoroughly the amazing cocktails, and the live music from the request pianist/singer. I will be back.

Fui aquí para mi cumpleaños con mi familia y me enviaron un gran menú de fiesta por correo electrónico con anticipación y respondí con las órdenes de todos.Cuando llegamos allí, no recibimos los entrantes o postres compartidos solo para descubrir que no se daban cuenta de que estaba ordenando fuera de ese menú y estaba acumulando pedidos basados en el menú principal. Hubo mucha confusión y de ida y vuelta con el personal y el gerente, lo que hizo una comida de cumpleaños bastante estresante y resolvió los pagos que de otra manera podrían haber sido bastante simples.No había ninguna indicación en el menú, o en persona, de que el ceviche de la casa estuviera crudo (entiendo que este restaurante sirve sushi pero esto podría haber sido aclarado), aunque a una persona no le importó, algunos esperaban pescado cocinado así que No podría soportar esto. Los niños de mi comida no eran fanáticos del menú infantil (ninguno de ellos terminó su comida; tenían el pescado y las patatas fritas de yuca y uno tenía el mac y el queso).El restaurante también estaba muy vacío y no nos registramos muy a menudo a pesar de ser una gran fiesta.En el lado positivo, el restaurante tenía una estética encantadora que hizo excelentes fotos. I visited Mommi with a friend, in December. The place itself is very cool and with a very nice and modern style, with different areas for ghe restaurant and the bar.My friend and I opted for two different dishes of meat and fish and we went for the Miso Glazed Salmon and for the Braised Sticky Beef Short Ribbs and I have to say, my preference goes totally on the first one and a side of caramelized broccoli. The dessert, "A Mommi mess" with chantilly cream and meringue and strawberry cream, was indeed very nice.The only disappointing part was that, personal opinion, the kitchen close a little bit too early.

We were a large group who paid £40 each for bottomless brunch. The eggs benedict with salmon was honestly the worst brunch we have ever had. The salmon had an extremely strong taste and was very thick and was not edible. Won’t be returning.

A busy restaurant, so best if you make a reservation. Lovely, gluten-free food, but cocktails are overpriced. Friendly, helpful staff.

I’ve been a few times with just my wife, with friends and family. Food is fantastic and fairly priced. The drinks selection doesn’t disappoint - staff, in my experience, are super friendly.

We did the bottomless brunch here for a large group and the food was awful, had to be one of the dryest and toughest burgers I’ve ever eaten, hash browns were good thankfully! Friends said the frittata wasn’t great either! One end of the table had really quick refills of the Prosecco when it ran out however our end had to ask several times. Advertised as £33 for the whole thing but they then add £5 service per person! Considering the “starter” is some tortilla chips and some weird squeeze guac and the dessert is chocolate mousse with a tiny brownie I would say there are definitely better quality bottomless brunches for a lot less than this one.

Visited Mommi with a group for a boozy brunch. It's £33 each, and covers some tortilla nibbles, a main, a small chocolate dessert and as much Prosecco as you can drink within an hour and a half.

Innovative food but unfortunately, the atmosphere let it down. The restaurant was too dark and I missed most of the conversation with my friends because we were sit in a large table with a lot of people and the music was very loud.

Walked in with two friends greeted by the hostess, told her we were having drinks. Proceeded to sit us down at a dining table which we thought was out of ordinary but did not complain (2/6 booths taken). Once the waiting staff realised the error of their ways and realised we were not ordering food they made life as awkward as possible. Ordered three drinks, then within 3 minutes of those very drinks being delivered they brought the card machine over to make us pay and had the brass neck to add a service charge to the bill for bringing three beers over, avoid.

Atrocious service, even worse prices. Customer interaction was the worst I’ve ever seen. If you’ve got self respect, don’t come here .

Food was really good but tables were very squeezed to the sitting area and in the end when we had to pay the amount wasn’t correct. After a discussion with the manager we needed to pay even more. She the manager even didn’t forgive 11£ from a 600£ total which we all in the group didn’t understand where it came from. Very bad for a big group and costumer.

Aparecimos en este lugar para la celebración de nuestro aniversario, y nos dieron la bienvenida y nos sentaron de inmediato, incluso si no teníamos una reserva. El personal era muy amable y educado, y nuestro pedido de comida fue rápido y fácil. Lamentablemente, cuando recibimos nuestras comidas, ni siquiera estaban cerca de lo que esperábamos. ¡Soy intolerante al gluten y este restaurante es una revelación! Buena comida, excelente servicio (Sylvia es súper dulce y, para colmo, ¡gracioso!) Y los precios son muy razonables. Sin embargo, no era el mayor fanático del pastel de queso vegano, era básicamente yogur con muslei, pero el gyoza y el ramen eran más que suficientes para compensarlo. La tarta de queso regular que mi amigo tiene era INCREÍBLE. Le dimos al chef una ronda de aplausos jajaja

I went for my sisters birthday for bottomless brunch. The food was average. None of the 15 of us were blown away. I ate the most dry burger, I’m glad there was Prosecco. The service was prompt but no customers interaction and a could vibe. The music was too loud so you could not here a thing anybody was saying. I get in the evening the music is great, but for 12:30 in the morning it’s unwanted. A service charge was added without your knowledge. A £4 service charge for each participant in the brunch. Poor food. Average service. Over priced. Drink the alcohol because they’re slow to refill.

Went for a birthday brunch with a group of friends, had a great time. Communication about the booking was really good leading up to it as well. Only small issue was the staff outside being unnecessarily strict about where you could smoke, insisting people move two feet one way to be in the right area.

Had a lovely meal here last night. It was my first time here but my sister and brother have both been twice before and enjoyed it so much they continue to come! Service is super quick but they still allowed you sufficient time in between courses. The waiting staff were very friendly and the food delicious and good portion sizes. A little on the expensive side but based on the return rates of my siblings I gather that the standards are pretty consistent.

Reservé a Mommi para el cumpleaños de mi novia hace unos meses, y aunque el servicio fue un poco lento, fueron muy serviciales, amables y la comida fue increíble, tanto en términos de variedad como de sabor. El servicio fue muy amable y el pianista que hicieron haciendo covers de música fue excelente. Si no fuera por mi cita el lunes, tal vez hubieran tenido una calificación de 5 estrellas por mi parte.

Interesting and unusual menu. Lots of healthy options. I would rate the good as good rather than outstanding. Preferred the starter dishes to the mains but all dishes lend themselves to mixing up and sharing. Favourite was the prawn dish. Cassava chips were also tasty. Some of the plates are cold so worth clarifying when ordering. Service was friendly and reasonably prompt.

Wow, this Restaurant is just simply amazing. From the moment we walked in, and escorted to our table, it’s like a fine dining experience. Foods superb.. thank you to Angela, as it’s our first time, for explaining their menu. Kudos to the whole team, and big compliment to Chefs

Really amazing to find a restaurant that is totally gluten free but does not compromise on food quality, ambience or innovation. Thoroughly recommended whether you eat gluten or not.

Staff were super friendly from the get-go, and the sushi rice bowl was so generous and really tasty.

This review is long because I feel I ought to explain my low rating.

Went for bottomless brunch here today. Food was good but service was shocking. The bottomless Prosecco was 1.5 hours and after one hour we asked for another bottle. We asked for it three times and waited 20 mins for it. We poured a glass each and then the waitress came around and told us she had to take the rest of the bottle away (after 4 glasses there wasn’t much left at all) We told her we had waited a really long time for our last bottle and she wouldn’t leave us a dribble each and was very rude about it. It was 2pm on Easter bank holiday and the DJ was playing “all by myself” and “how deep is your love” by the beegees. The music was DIRE. Good food, boring atmosphere and terrible service. Save your money and go elsewhere

The food here really is quite spectacular. Having read other TripAdvisor reviews I went in with mixed thoughts but any negative ideas I had were soon quashed. I think that a lot of people are scared of flavour/novel ingredients and therefore are entirely overwhelmed here. We chose a small selection of the starters with some sides, as the mains looked less interesting. I was also keen to try as much as I could. The salmon sashimi tacos were spectacular, the wasabi mayo not at all overpowering and the corn in them was excellently sweet.They felt like the highlight of the menu to me. I was apprehensive of raw fish so far from the coast but it tasted brilliantly fresh. The steak tartare was heavy on savoury flavour and could have done with more of a yuzu kick to balance the meat. Not something I'd choose again but then I've never really enjoyed tartare anyway. The croquetas were crisp on the outside but luxuriously soft inside, the smoky chilli and aubergine salsa adding to the comfort food feel. The chicken wings were good fun and had a far lighter vibe than the other meat dishes. Plenty of citrus and sriracha type dressing meant they lived up to the fusion food expectations. As sides, the cassava fries were superbly crispy with a dense, potato like inside and the same dressing as the wings. I wouldn't get the Peruvian corn again, as the yuzu was lost in the savoury butter dressing, meaning it was quite rich and salty. A good novelty and worth giving them a crack. Three puddings for £9.99 is a good idea and something that should be transferred to the starter menu too. They were good but nothing spectacular, if I were you, I'd get another starter instead. Whilst the staff were unfailingly polite and friendly, service felt incredibly rushed, removing any welcoming feel. This was a great shame, as it almost made it feel like a pretentious Nando's. Speaking of pretension, £40 a head seems quite steep for 2 sides, 4 small plates, 2 drinks and a small pudding selection. Nonetheless, I would certainly return here, perhaps after they slow down service a touch ;).

I went here when this didn't have the population reputation it has now and it was very good. However I went again more recently and it was AWFUL. The brunch was terrible, I had the boy burger and the bread was like rubber. They also got our orders completely mixed up and wrong. The 'nibbles' that were included in the pre order menu were a couple of tiny pots of stale-ish flavoured popcorn. Clearly they have built up their rep and now they are popular standards have slipped. They are fleecing customers too as it's not cheap either! Avoid.

I can imagine this is a great Saturday Brunch place for the girls ( bubblies unlimited for 1.5 hours). However we came here as family and it was extremely noisy and food was interesting but not the highlight of the restaurant. It caters for a certain crowd and can be great. Service accomodating for food allergies.

We had a great experience here. The food was very tasty and well-presented. The service was efficient and friendly without being intrusive. The only negative was that one of the wine glasses was really dirty - lipstick, fingerprints, dust. When we pointed this out to our server, she apologized profusely, then returned with one that was almost as dirty. We let it go.

Cerviche was flat, the Asian flavors lacked depth, overall very bland. This is not a place where the food is the star, it lacks any authenticity and it shows.

La comida es magnífica con un gran menú que no es demasiado grande pero no demasiado pequeño y El ambiente es increíble, no puedo recomendar más! !

Had dinner at Mommi last night, as many other times before it was delicious ! The menu offers plenty of jazzy flavours and options to satisfy a bit everybody. Cocktails were also top notch. We stayed sipping espresso martinis long after dinner as the vibe and music were also excellent!

Dos de mis amigos y yo fuimos allí para el brunch de prosecco sin fondo, ya que parecía una buena oferta - 3 x cursos y prosecco sin fondo durante una hora y media por 32. 50. Sin embargo, no solo no nos impresionó la comida, ya que el salmón olía muy a pescado y todos teníamos pómulos al día siguiente: me robaron la bolsa de la silla que estaba a mi lado. Un hombre entró y lo sentaron en el asiento detrás de nosotros a pesar de que el restaurante estaba vacío. Luego deslizó mi bolsa, que tenía mi bolso. Cuando nos dimos cuenta, las tarjetas ya se habían usado varias veces. (El chico se fue después de 15 minutos después de haber ordenado comida). Cuando pasé los siguientes 30 minutos cancelando mis tarjetas y obteniendo una nueva impresa en Metrobank al otro lado de la calle, no extendieron el tiempo de almuerzo sin fondo (a pesar de que no bebimos durante este tiempo estresante) y les pidieron a mis amigos que pagaran la factura cuando yo no estaba allí cuando sabían que estaba en el proceso de ordenar mis tarjetas. Por último, nos dieron un "muñeco de preocupación" con la factura, que decía que le contara sus preocupaciones y la pusiera debajo de su almohada. Esto nos pareció muy insensible y sentimos que deberíamos haber retirado el cargo de servicio de la factura por la inconveniencia. Para ser justos, el gerente nos ayudó: nos dio una porción de papas fritas debido al mal olor del pescado y nos dio un vaso extra de Prosecco al final (aunque tuvimos que pedir ambas, no nos las ofrecieron). Revisó las imágenes del circuito cerrado de televisión y nos contó lo que había en ella. Nos contó que el chef había visto tarjetas de fidelidad repartidas por la calle, lo que significaba que pude recuperar un par de ellas y se disculpó. Sin embargo, en general, nunca volvería y no recomendaré este lugar

At first glance mommi seems to be a hip trendy place with a lively fun vibe to it. And whilst that it all true, the food was vile and honestly has given me nightmares since.

Awful service, awful atmosphere, ugly and confusing interior design. The food is far from Japanese and Peruvian, let alone the fusion aspect. Putting wasbi mayo with fish and chips doesn’t make it Japanese. Putting a Peruvian groundcherry with every other dish doesn’t make it Peruvian. To make matters worse we were there celebrating a birthday and after being told we had to hurry up while taking pictures with the cake. We got told that the cake cannot be out because it is a gluten free restaurant. What a annoying irritating thing to say to ruin the vibe on someone’s birthday. It’s not like everyone in the restaurant is going to have s slice. Fake food and unfriendly service.

If you visit the UK as a gluten free person, it's a really hard time finding gluten free fish and chips. This place certainly has it and the experience is much more worthwhile than just the icon.

The title says it all. They accommodated us late which was great, however the food is very mundane. For the prices you pay I think it should be of slightly higher quality. I’m not saying it should be Michelin star, but I found it to be particularly bland. Many of the dishes had elements to it that were there for show and not for taste.

Great restaurant with influences from Japan and Peru wide range of snacks small plates to mains and plates for sharing. Really impressed with the separate vegan menu well done!!! Nice seating arrangement and staff were amazing. Food for everyone. Well worth a visit, and reasonably priced.

Our first experience at Mommi was fantastic, the service was great from the moment we walked in. There was a great vibe, good selection of cocktails and tasty food! We loved the fish and chips and trio of desserts! (Choc brownie, banana ice cream & chocolate mousse yum!)

Went for a Friday night meal and was delighted with everything MOMMI had to offer. The music, the service, the food was exceptional and selection of beer and wine were great. One of my favourite places. Def going back.

With funk classics subtly playing in the background, attentive staff and incredible Peruvian - Asian food. Great ambience and absolutely banging food. Solid 10/10.

My friends and I visited Mommi with more of a Sunday brunch in mind, because to be honest when I checked the online menu before we went I didn’t even notice the ‘roasts’ section on there. However, when we arrived I decided to take the plunge and I ordered the chicken roast, and I’m SO glad I did.

Gluten Free food . I let the server to choose the most recommended dishes. some were very tasty but some suffer from the Japanese-Peruvian mix differences.

We came for my boyfriends birthday and we ordered a starter, two small dishes, and two large dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. Our mouthes were watering and we devoured every bite. The edamame beans were a particularly nice starter and the chicken wings were also delicious. The stars of the show were the corn croquettes!! The chicken teriyaki was maybe a little on the salty side but we enjoyed it nonetheless.

We had a nice meal at Mommi. Our server, May, was very warm and friendly, knew the menu very well - probably very convincingly made up anything she didn’t!

There is no fusion to be had with Japanese and Peruvian food - the two don't mix as they have nothing in common, if this offering is anything to go by. Great that it is all gluten free (my friend is a coeliac), but not great if you don't like Japanese food, as it is more Japanese than Peruvian. I had the steak, as it was the most Peruvian of the lot, but it's a tough cut, so was very chewy. Dessert was no better - the passion fruit, yuzu and ginger cheesecake was vomit inducing - why is that combination thought to be good enough to serve? Won't go again and would not recommend to anyone.

Prefect for a few bites before heading out. Great flavours and great round tables/booths. Good service too.

The incredible flavours, delicate touchs and exceptional service more than make up for the slight overpricing (for outside the 'city')... What's more, unlike other restaurants where you are made to feel that you are lucky to be dining there, the team here are super welcoming and eager to make you feel at ease with the menu and what to expect. I wouldn't hesitate in heading back!!

Amazing decoration coming with nice music at the background and create lovely atmosphere for fabulous dinner. Staff are very friendly knowledgeable on their wines and food. Thank you Jake (staff at MOMMI) for your help! I had ROBATA-GRILLED CHICKEN TERIYAKI by a glass of VIOGNIER (white wine) and it was simply brilliant. It was just a lovely evening. Highly recommend a visit.
