Had a wonderful night at the Rose Lounge at Molly Browns celebrating a significant birthday. The food was exceptional lots of compliments from guests. As always the staff were amazing nothing was too much, they help make the night a success. A very special night with very special people was made all the more special by Mollys. Thank you

Was in on Saturday past for lunch 2 courses for 13 pound I think it was.. I had garlic cheesy ciabatta starter and both had the seafood chowder n it was lovely. then ordered a dessert to share passionfruit cheesecake well presented, staff were lovely and very helpful.. Had a cocktail before we left n it was nice. Will def be back again as its been a long time from I was in there.. Would highly recommend giving it a go.. Ps chicken wings was the other starter in pics..

My daughter and future son _in law has thier engagement party at Molly Brown's on Saturday 19th of March. I honestly can't recommend this place highly enough. The staff were excellent. Couldn't of done enough for us . My daughter had ordered hot food for later on in the evening. The food was top notch and well presented. There was more than enough food for everyone. The upstairs lounge was beautiful. Lovely sear covers and tables cloths all matching . The owner was fantastic and is doing an excellent job from taking over the premises. The DJ was just brilliant. All and all everyone who attended had a fabulous night . I would very highly recommend this establishment for parties ,social gatherings or for just a nice meal . Fantastic job by all staff . Extremely impressed.

We ate here, family of four today for Sunday lunch. We were seated in a booth, nice and private, by a very friendly hostess, given menus and ordered drinks. We ordered fish and the children cheese burger and chicken goujons. The restaurant was very busy and we did wait a little longer on our meals, the waiter apologised but they were so worth it, really tasty quality food, good portions I really enjoyed mine and the green vegetables were a welcome change to the normal carrots and broccoli. Childrens food appeared to be home made, the fact they eat free on a Sunday made the bill very reasonable, I can’t wait to go back and try different dishes as they have an extensive menu.

This used to be one of our go to locations for food and Sunday lunch. The last two times I have asked for a cubicle as my Father is 94 and vulnerable. Both times I asked confirmation that a cubicle was available before I booked and was assured it was but both times on arrival one was not available. We arrived at our booked time (4 people) and it took 40 mins for the starters to arrive, finishing these it took another 1 hour for the mains to arrive. The staff a couple of times asked us if things were ok to which I told them ,some food would be nice’ - they then avoided us I thing even they were embarrassed at the speed. The staff were pleasant, the food good but the wait and service was very poor. We will vote with our feet and will not be back- pity.

Just thought I'd write a comment on the exceptional service I received from a guy who's on a trial run called William. I got perfect pints of Guinness with a perfect head and also fantastic dripping from it. As a Guinness connoisseur I evaluate pints wherever I go and if this guy William is a novice then I can't wait until he's a proper member of staff to pull a pint of Guinness for me! Fantastic pint, great service and definitely rate the guy and the pint a minimum 9 out of 10

Bar and seating was clean and tidy, staff were courteous and helpful. Food on the other hand was slow and similar to a witherspoons. Pity as it has great potential

After emailing my cv and achievement breakdown to molly browns I went there for some drinks. Upon entering I checked tye menus for cleanliness, the chairs and tables for wobbliness , the television for positioning and sound quality, the cutlery for sharpness (which for me is a big issue) , the staff for structure and defined roles and the bar for provenance and variety. Surprisingly all to my satisfaction. I ordered a Guinness. Perfectly poured. The head was immaculate, it was creamy , smooth and cold. I couldn't fault it in anyway at all. I couldn't believe me eyes in what I saw in the front of house staff. A well structured , well oiled , prolific example to perfect service with crystal clear defined roles . A thing of beauty. Perfection within their ecosystem backed up with market collateral and dynamic 2b2 infrastructure enhancement Local supply chains.

Went for a meal on Sunday afternoon 12th December. Table service very attentive covid checks very good. Food very poor had to send both meals back to kitchen. Have visited this restaurant before and food was very good, has the chef changed??? Will not be back and would not recommend to anyone shame.

We had a lovely meal and a lovely friendly experience in Molly Browns today for Sunday Lunch. Food was delicious and served hot, kids menu was really good. Nice wine selection. Can’t fault it. Great value for money. Enjoyed it and will be back.

Food was average. Chips where lovely but came in a dirty pot which had old cranberry sauce still in it and on the chips. Staff where apologetic but I won’t be back. Hygiene standards need improved. If you can’t even clean chip containers what else don’t you clean.

I brought my grandmother Molly & my two children for a first time visit to this lovely restaurant on Remembrance Sunday. From the moment we arrived, the service was wonderful. The staff were all so friendly, helpful & attentive, even facilitating a special request for my son's meal. The food was also very good, enjoyed by all. We will definitely be returning...

Having been hesitant about eating out / returning to restaurants ... Molly Browns Eatery was brill. Covid regulations were in place and staff made it a relaxing nite out. We both went for the fish and chips -"Gin & Tonic beer battered Haddock". Absolutely delicious ! Equally impressive was watching a nearby table have the "Big M Burger 100% Prime Beef" Will have that next time.

Visited for lunch with my family for my mum’s birthday. On a positive note, Covid measures were good, all staff were wearing masks and there were no other diners near us. Unfortunately that’s where the positives for our visit end. We waited 15 minutes to order, then a further 40 minutes for food to be served. When our meal eventually arrived, one burger was wrong, and my meal was served with a sauce that I had asked to be removed, making it inedible. There were no staff to be seen to ask for this to be rectified and the rest of our party had finished their meals by the time I managed to speak to somebody. The service today put a real dampener on a family celebration and unfortunately we won’t be back or recommending Molly Brown’s to anybody.

Visited as a party of 6 for lunch. It took 40 minutes from ordering until our food was served. Two meals were wrong and no staff around to ask for them to be rectified. Very disappointing, won’t be recommending to family or friends.

We had an excellent lunch in Molly Browns a few years back, so we had no hesitation visiting again in early August. Our lunch order was simple - 4 tomato soups and a nacho platter. 35 minutes later, we were wondering if we'd been forgotten....

Haven’t been to Molly Browns in awhile and was there today with my family to celebrate my birthday. The place has been given an overhaul and it is beautiful very fresh, bright and modern loved the decor!!!!! Our meal from start to finish was beautiful the staff are amazing!!! They couldn’t do enough for my family very pleasant, friendly and attentive!!! I love coming here have always had a beautiful meal and today was just brilliant!! Impeccable service, welcoming and attentive, lovely atmosphere for a family Sunday lunch. Our starters arrived promptly with three of us opting for the garlic ciabatta which was beautifully presented and accompanied by fresh salad ribbon garnish and selection of dips with the fourth member of our party having the pea and mint soup which was full of flavour and accompanied by freshly baked bread. Our mains were all perfect with two sirloins cooked exactly as we had asked, delicious scampi and a tasty chicken stack all served with a selection of chunky chips, chilli cubes, peppered sauce and dips. Generous portions left us with no room for dessert and we finished off what was a truly amazing lunch with cappuccino coffees. A first class act. Well done Molly Brown's we look forward to our next visit very soon.

We’ve never had a bad meal here. The food is consistently good. Sunday lunch, first since lockdown didn’t disappoint, food was lovely and hot. They cater well for kids and the prices are reasonable.

Decided to have a Sunday lunch here. We’ve previously always enjoyed the food and atmosphere.There have definitely been changes, but unfortunately not for the better.The place is soul-less and the waiting staff amateurish at best. In an empty restaurant I don’t expect to have to go and look for a member of staff to tell them I was still waiting on a starter (salad) ten minutes after being served, but I did.Similar scenario with the main courses. We were only a party of three in a virtually empty restaurant. What was the delay?Really poor and sloppy service. Food mediocre at best.

I visited over the weekend with a friend for some food and a quiet drink. On arrival we were atternded to quite quickly and a drinks order placed. Drinks order brought and we explained we were ready to order food and assured someone would be with us soon, after what felt like an eternity a waitress arrived to take our order, now I dont know if this lady thought she was being friendly, I can only describe it as unprofessional and patronising.....if she had of called me 'love or darling one more time my head would have exploded' Whilst taking the order she held no eye contact was totally distracted by, well to be honest I dont no what.Food arrived quickly and sat in front of us with NO cutlery, as our food started to go cold my friend had to leave the table to ask for service, cutlery was brought, we had wanted to order an extra dip....guess what?.... we had to ask again for this. No one asked if our meals where OK or if we needed anything else oh and at this stage we needed more drinks....you can guess where Im going with that?Food overall was lovely however should we have had cutlery to enjoy it warm it would have been nicer. Front of house manager/waiting manager seriously needs to look at this.Wont be back! Sad really as food was good and atmosphere was lovely, being close to home I was hoping for a better experience.

The beer garden is looking really well, enjoyed cocktails on Saturday afternoon, lots of people about.. Only downside was no longer selling Pinot Grigio by the glass so was talked in to cocktails, they went down a treat.

The waiting staff must be highly commended for keeping their cool whilst braving the march to serve the slapdash hogwash conjured up by the alchemists in the kitchen-abattoir. The mustard mash was chemical, the leak sausages looked phallic and my friends' chips were harder than Mike Tyson. The pint of Heverlee was a much needed mouthwash after the taste of the worst swill to grace the presence of my buccal cavity had grown intolerable. Highest respect to the front of house staff who have to dish up that assault on the senses on the daily.

Had a lovely family meal. Service, very friendly & very attentive. Food was absolutely delicious & good portion sizes. There's a choice of a 2 course or 3 course meal or just a main course if you prefer. Great wine selection & cocktails. Lovely decor & a fantastic terrace to the rear .....definitely be back

First of all, did not know what to expect post lockdown but impressed with the low key not in your face over the top Covid measures , safe and spotless, and a very comfortable environment, was sat at our table by Shiree ( think that’s how it’s spelt) great member of staff and along with her colleague were great, a new. Experience for us all, now to the food, It’s obvious that the place has changed hands and the food was a massive step up from any previous visit, I had Bangers and Mash , and my fellow diner had scampi and chips, two great meals and absolutely not one fault could be found. It’s time to get back to the pubs and to support them, I will be back sooner than later.

Booked lunch for the first day it reopened after lockdown at the freshly revamped Molly Browns which is now under new ownership . I must say myself and my party where not disappointed as we where met by the friendly staff of Molly’s as soon as we entered through the front doors . All new Covid 19 regulations are in place and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable ,safe and at ease under these new necessary conditions that we find ourselves in . The food was of a high standard and all our dishes arrived together and piping hot . The menu has an extensive choice with something for everyone including fish , chicken and beef dishes of traditional hearty pub grub also catering for those of us that are not meat eaters I believe . The interior has been re decorated since my last visit and is clean and crisp looking with new large screen TVs in place in the rear bar for when live sport is allowed to be watched in a pub again . There is also an extensive terrace to the rear of the premises for outside dining and socialising with friends when the weather permits . I have not been into Molly Browns for a couple of years but I will definitely be returning with family and friends as the place has a lovely friendly vibe about it . I would definitely recommend this place to friends to try out going on my own experience That I had yesterday afternoon . Well done Molly Browns for making my visit and experience a very enjoyable one .

Today we had our sons dedication party upstairs in molly browns. Staff were extremely helpful right from we booked. Bar staff today could not have been better on the ball with everything and fantastic with the children that were at the party too.Food was amazing, a great mixture of hot food as well as few veggie options (that the supplied very last minute for us)Beautiful fresh sandwiches.The room itself is perfect for family functions loved that no matter where you sat you could see round the room to other people and see the stage and dance floor. We have had a few parties here and The new decor is fantastic and really changes the place. Looking forward to another visit soon. Thank you to all the staff today

We went on a Sunday evening In the middle of storm Dennis!fantastic 2 course dinner, great value and the kids eat free! I'm gluten free and had an excellent choice. Jay, our waiter was very helpful, service was great. We will definitely be back!

I went on a girls night to the Pink tribute and it was a great show. We went for a meal downstairs before and it was lovely. The new menu with two courses for £12.95 is amazing value and allows a starter or dessert as part of your meal. The menu was extensive with everything part of the offer not the usual three or four choices. The only problem was deciding what to have. The staff were friendly and attentive even though it was obvious they were flat out. Great value definitely will be back.

A group of friends were at Molly Browns on saturday 25th January for a meal, followed by a Pink Tribute... The meal was lovely served by very attentive staff... Pink Tribute was fantastic and enjoyed by all.. Great night out

We thought we would give Mollys a chance even though we have read though reviews on trip advisor and didn’t seem the best , and I’m sorry we did now came in last night and staff where rude and Ignored us most of the time and when they did take an order from us the food came and the disappointment with what we got was shocking , food had no taste tasted like it hadn’t be seasoned at all we just ate what we could and left as quickly as we could , don’t know what has happened to the place but it was bad we had to end up going to another place for something to eat which was more deserving of our money

Worst meal I’ve had in long time , called in on Sunday with my wife for a Sunday dinner and what we got was not what we excepted , I had the chicken stack well if you would call it that , the chicken was dry the pepper sauce was lumpy for some reason and the bacon plus the onions on top where brunt , my wife had the roast of the day and the less said about that the better to be honest worse meal we both have had in a long time

Gorgeous food and fabulous selection, we were gifted vouchers for Christmas so decided to drop in for lunch, service was amazing the waitress was lovey and really chatty to us, kept checking in that everything was OK but without being intrusive, the food was delicious and we will definitely be back for moreThe spicy beef with noodles was gorgeous

Visited the restaurant on Sunday 12 Jan and was very very impressed. We had only sat down when our waiter arrived to take our drinks order which arrived practically immediately. The service was also very quick for our food order too and the staff were so pleasant and courteous. I had the starter of blue cheese & pear salad which was a absolutely delicious and I actually could have ate another one as it was so tasty. Our 4 main courses all arrived piping hot which I think is also a good sign of a fabulous restaurant. My husband who had the turkey dinner said it was really delicious and not dry which turkey can be and my dad who had the roast beef said that it really tender and moist and it practically fell of the fork. They also said their potatoes and veg were delicious and well cooked too. My son enjoyed his burger and my steak sandwich and chips were amazing. I loved the pepper sauce which was creamy and not spicy which is how I like it. My steak which I always get well done was just perfect and it was lovely and tender too, the mushrooms and onions were very tasty and the ciabatta roll was really fresh. I even loved the pepper & rocket salad that came with my main as it was a bit different from the usual boring salad that you normally get. My dad and I got a slice of pavlova between us which we both really enjoyed and it tasted delicious with the winter berry compote on it.

Came here yesterday around 530 place was busy think next time we will book , we where all looking forward to a Sunday dinner and we where not disappointed, the beef was cooked to perfection and the sirloin my friend had also looked good , we will definitely be calling here next Sunday again but we will book

Came here on Saturday night and have to say was great !! Staff where friendly and the girl with the blonde hair was really nice on are arrival , we ordered the chilli beef and goats cheese which where worthy of the price I got the peppered chicken and my husband got the sirloin and my friends got the steak Sandwich and chicken and beef slizzer was really good value and well worth the price we will be back definitely

Had dinner here with a group of friends last night and was really disappointed. The staff were brilliant but the food definitely wasn't. My partner got a steak sandwich which he couldn't even chew cause of the grizzle was cooked medium rate either it was over done. The pepper sauce was like water, nothing "creamy" about it. Also got the side order wrong on two dishes. I got beer battered fish and the batter was soggy and pale in colour. Got the tiniest portion of mushy peas ever. Also the roll that came with the soup was as hard as a brick could hardly cut through it. Definitely wont be back, went home hungry and was worth the price.

Attended with close family before Christmas. Quite a few of us had Christmas dinner which to be honest was disappointing. The turkey actually seemed like thin processed meat you would buy at a deli counter in a supermarket.

Was there on the same night as the moron writing about Russia etc. I think people forget this is not a Michelin star restaurant, it’s a bar restaurant and taking that into account the food was outstanding. Couldn’t have been happier with it. As for the staff, they were brilliant, 3 different big groups in and each of them went above and beyond to help with all our needs. Special mention to Rebekah and Kerrie who were fantastic, so lovely and were there every time we needed. Highly suggest you try it.

My family and I went for a late lunch on Thursday 2nd Jan and we were all blown away by the quality of food and service. There were 9 of us in total and we were dealt with swiftly by Jay our server, he was clearly very knowledgable and was able to meet all our needs. He continued to be attentive throughout which is just what you are looking for when you need another pint urgently ;) My lasagna and chips with garlic mayo was fab and came with a wee rocket salad too which I enjoyed. Our food all came out pretty much at the same time which was brilliant. A perfect place to spend a farewell family meal. Oh and my mum ate all her steak sandwich which was very impressive! Next time I’m in the country, I’ll definitely be back!

Firstly let me say that the door, bar and food service staff(with the exception of one)are well mannered and polite. However the food being served is absolutely atrocious I honestly think that you’d get better in a Russian prison located in Siberia. I ordered the pate to start, it was about 1/5 the size I’ve been served anywhere else. Almost like the kitchen had run out then realised they had several on order and tried to turn two portions into eight and just hoped everyone was intoxicated and wouldn’t notice. I didn’t complain and just thought everyone is allowed a mishap. Then the main course came 5-10 mins after everyone else’s the waitress came out barking steak sandwich. I raised my hand and said over here please, mine is the rare one. Again she barked it will be cooked as specified. It was not! It was in fact incinerated. I brought this to the attention of a nice young man who said he would bring me another one. It too was incinerated. At this point I lost all hope of being presented with an edible meal and went to the kebab shop across the road(which is excellent) and had my dinner in the door way as I wasn’t allowed to bring it onto the premises. I then rejoined my work colleagues for a few drinks. Basically if you want a few drinks in a relaxed atmosphere go here if you want food you’d probably do better in Maghabery.

Went today to Molly Browns as we have done for the last 5 years on Boxing Day and I wish I could say that it was as as great as the previous years alas I cannot. The food was lovely and was nicely presented. We had been told when we made the booking that we had to pre-order our meals which we did only to find out by chance that the menu we had orders of for the booking was not the same menu that they were using today. But at no point did any staff mention that they were using a different menu for Boxing Day. When the Christmas dinner arrived it was well presents and well warmed but was surprised to see there was no stuffing or cocktail sausages but thought no that’s ok, not say anything as food was lovely. Then desert arrived, well one desert arrived should I say. When after a few minutes of waiting we asked about the two pear and apple trifle that had been pre-ordered only to be informed that there was no trifle on today’s desert menu. Surely this should have been mentioned when we arrived or even when staff offered to let us see the desert menu,because at that point we again mentioned that we had pre-ordered. In fairness the staff did offer us free tea and coffee to make up for the delay. And we thought ok that’s fine and surely nothing else can go wrong. Well that was until we got the bill and found out that the £20 cash deposit that had been paid had not been taken off the bill. When we raised this the staff did say she would go check but came back saying she could find no record of a deposit being paid and had my wife not have remembered to bring the receipt with her from the time she paid the deposit I feel that we would have been made to pay the full price. On the whole very disappointing and just feel let down. Feel that too many things wrong and hopefully this was just a bad day for them but I won’t be rushing back. Just feel that they have lost their touch and we will be trying other places around Ards.

Tuesday 3rd December 2019. Just returned home from so called dining in Molly Browns Newtownards. Never in 50 years have I seen or tasted worse. Chicken gougons. Hard to get wrong. Dried up chicken. Re heated chips. Half a dozen leaves on the plate and supermarket garlic mayo dip. Never never again!!!Pathetic.

Food was ok. 2 courses £10. Great value. Friendly girl serving. Good selection of kids meals. Toilets where untidy & needed a good clean.

Was in on Saturday night hadn't been in a while asked for a cocktail I used to get in there to b told they didn't do them anymore so got a different one it was average..dj was on playing the exact same music as he did the last lot of random times I've been in ,,ranges from footloose to dirty dancing .....ask for anything else n that's a no .still had a good night....

Food was great value for two courses and everything was good quality and reasonable portions server quite good however seemed to shout even though wasn't that loud but this is minor I found the bar staff were good but a bit slow to serve these are very minor grumbles and overall very happy with everything

I took the wife here for a meal,it was just average in my view, newtownards has better places to eat and not far from this place.,to tell the truth I won't go back to eat in it.

We actually planned to go to a pizza restaurant on the square this evening. We arrived there and after 15 minutes decided that we would go to Molly Browns where we knew we would actually get served!

Menu changes and updates but food always good and whole some. Reasonably priced. Staff normally pretty quick and polite. Air con can be nice in warm weather but in cooler weather place can be chilly. Solid recommendation. Personally i like the hot stone steak , just the way i like it!

We called for sunday lunch hubby and our little one year old. Food was lovely very hot and prompt. Children eat for free which is great, my little girl demolished her fish and chips. Only one complaint was i asked for chips with mine and came on a bed of mash. It was quickly sorted out no problem

Last Sunday my other half and I went out for dinner. We hadn't booked so were seated in the bar which we didn't mind. The staff were all very pleasant. It was rather cold but the doors were closed and heating put on and it didn't take long to warm up.

I’d booked for Sunday evening and it was a restricted menu? Why? The service was just ok as was the food. Would I recommend to friends? NO. Will we be back anytime soon? NO. Not like it used to be at all. Sad really.

A group of us booked for lunch. Staff were welcoming and the atmosphere good.I had soup as a starter. It came with thick cut wheaten bread and was a meal in itself.I noticed no one left any wheaten, it was that nice. Main corse was roast of the day which came with more than adequate vegetables.No complaints about the food whatsoever and the service was top notch.If you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful with good food and good customer service look no further than Molly Brown's.

Right I know of am writing a review I need to be certain I mean what am saying. We went to Newtownards as a family today for a day trip as was a lovely day. We needed somewhere to stop for a bite to eat so we took a wee drive around the city centre and the menu put the front two courses for £10 caught my eye. So we parked up and paid the parking which is very handy to molly's. On arrival we were shown to a table. It took a while for anybody to come to us after that. We were able to put our drink and food order in at the same time.one of the servers were lovely the other was very blunt if I'm honest. I choose the ceasur salad and my partner had the wings. When the wings came this is no exaggeration I have seen bigger wings on a baby chick they were awfull had no meat on them and were a big let down. My salad was okay although just soaked in sauce which is very strong so overtakes the whole meal. Next was the mains they took ages to come out after the starter was finished. We both got the molly's burger. On first glance it looked amazing. Although once we actually tasted it we were really let down it was soooo thick and dry with no flavour whatsoever, to be honest Ave ate nicer McDonald's. They need to thin it out a bit and cook from fresh, then mightened be so tough, dry and flavourless. The bun just ripped apart also. Not good. My side was garlic wedges. This consisted of a cut up baked potato which would be okay if they were fried properly they came to the table and looked like mashed potato no crunch or firmness to them a total letdown. My daughter got the kids tagatellie and it was a bowl of overcooked stoge. I was let down big time and to pay 35 quid for a bar lunch I would expect better 2 courser for a tenner or not.

Let me explain my 1 star rating. If I was asked to rate the quality and value of the food, along with the restaurant waiting staff it would be a 5 star review!!! Unfortunately due to the horrific experience with the bar staff, what had been a pleasant couples night out was ruined! In brief, we ordered 2 cocktails from the"Any 2 cocktails for £8 menu", we each had a cocktail of our choice ordered from a girl who looked like she was in charge of the restaurant area, without question. Later when one of us ordered another round, she was told that both cocktails had to be the same? This then led to a discussion with a member of the bar staff, who told her that the cocktails had to be the same and the menu was incorrect, he then accused her of being confrontational when she insisted that the menu did not state this anywhere.He was insistent that the manager had told them that cocktails must be the same, regardless of what;s on the menu!She then was forced to order 2 drinks the same, in order to avoid any further accusations! Later I then tried to order 2 different cocktails from the same menu from another female member of staff, who immediately told me I couldn't have different ones and they need to be the same. I asked her where on the menu card that it states that! I was then met with a sharp reply, saying that it was my interpretation of the menu. She then said that if I wanted 2 different cocktails, she would charge me full price. I asked why and how she would do this as all the cocktails had no individual price listed. After some more back and forward she agreed to serve 2 different cocktails. After 10 mins I eventually get served 1 drink after paying!! I waited a moment and then asked where is the second drink, she then replies, "oh do you want another!!" Having already prepared it, but left it sitting behind the counter!! Whoever owns this establishment, really needs to take a look at the daily running, with no apparent managers on duty on a Saturday night??? Absolutely shocking, I have never experienced such poor customer service to date!! Needless to say we will not be back, which is a shame, as food cannot be faulted!

Visited Jan 2019 and had an amazing meal in glad to say after visiting again tonight the food standard has remained high. Spring rolls to start then a beef pitta for me and a chicken stack for the other half the food was delicious good job Molly browns keep up the great work! Definitely becoming one of my favourite places to eat in ards

Went on a Saturday evening for dinner. Had a 2 course deal on for £12 each, excellent value. Food was good, nothing special. Service was very slow, waited just over 30 mins or so for our mains. They were busy but not packed. Had to ask twice for the bill. Nothing wrong with the food at all but wouldn’t rush back, certainly not in the evening.

Starters were great wedges very good as was the brie mains also very good hot rock steak good value for money dessert was disappointing my lemon and lime cheesecake tasted like vanilla and wasnt great the cheeseboard was very basic only on type of cracker and 3 cheeses good selection of drinks

We arrived ten mins early got seated straight away... Food was amazing staff that were there to answer all questions great with the kids as my son likes to be a bit loud and fella Matthew who served us was very helpful even tho my son called him a werido he made my5 year old son laugh and giggle and get him back onto his seat.... Huge thank you ... Diffo will be back in the near future

Good food and great service. We arrived at 650 and food was on the table by 705. Food was unreal goujons and steak burger. Drinks service was great and the guys worked hard to make sure we were looked after also live music on which kept the atmosphere going. Thanks guys we will be back

Its that time of year, Christmas lunch with the rest of the office was the reason for going to Molly Browns

I made a booking here for my wife (who is Caeliac) for the Cinema deal and advised the gentleman of the booking that she needed Gluten Free food.

Good menu with plenty of choices. There is a 2 or 3 couse menu and also a beat the clock menu. Busy place.

Low key atmosphere with an eclectic menu to fit anyone’s needs and delicious food. The beef lasagne was very good, as were the pulled pork nachos, stroganoff, and sweet potato squash starter. You won’t be disappointed!

Called in yesterday for a family lunch and was not dissapointed. We had the steak sandwich, chicken goujons and lasagne, followed by ; pancakes, pavlova and chocolate cake.

Visited Molly Browns for lunch today with family, staff were friendly. We enjoyed the potato and leek soup with wheaten bread for starter and our main course Molly Brown burgers were delicious with an assortment of chips. The portion sizes were generous. Thank you to Sarah and Liz for serving us and explaining the special offers available throughout the week.

Outstanding food and very helpful staff. Brambles are amazing. Hog burger is a must. If you're out and about in the ards area do go in and try.

Food was just ok a little disappointing , music too loud for restaurant, wouldn’t consider it great value for money.

Called in with 12 people with little notice. Food really good and reasonable, Able to use our NICSSA discount cards to get 20% discount. Left the discount as a tip as the food and service were great.

Visited on 1/7/18 with the family staff were friendly and very helpful the food was 5 star quality couldn’t fault any part of our vist highly recommend

Went there with my friend and we both had really lovely food, good size portions and piping hot.

I had found the website when I was planning a trip with my Dad, and was excited specifically because of the gluten-free menu. However, when we walked in, I just didn't feel it was giving the same vibe as the website had let on. It wasn't anything specific.

We headed over to Molly Browns on Saturday night. What a great place! All the staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and really reasonably priced. We had a brilliant time and will definitely be returning.

I visit Molly browns regularly, food here is lovely and beat the clock offer very good also. Last 2 visits however and it's becoming apparent that service has gone to the wall..... Last visit was poor, although food was good, service was terrible - waited far too long between each course and had to resort to going directly to bar myself to get a drink. Last night however, we didn't even get in...asked had we booked, which immediately makes you feel unwelcome, and despite a number of empty tables were told after a really long pause " it might be 45 mins or an hour". Oddly when I passed the place just over an hour later after eating at a local Indian restaurant instead, the tables were still empty! Very disappointed after driving down from Lisburn for our regular date night at Molly's

We called in shortly after 6pm and were immediately shown to a table set for three diners. We were served by Sharon and Sarah and we each chose two courses. Myself and my Mother in Law had the soup of the day which was Asparagus and Celeriac with a buttermilk roll. The soup was delicious. For Mains my wife and I had the Belfast Gammon steak which melted in the mouth. My Mother in Law had Salmon and Tagliatelle with a triple cheese sauce which she described as excellent. Finally my wife had the homemade Malteser Cheesecake which both looked and tasted fantastic. The service was smooth and unobtrusive and we are determined to visit again the next time we visit Newtownards.
