Staff helpful and pleasant and moved us to better table when vacant as it was cold by the door. Also helpful with directions as we don’t know Preston well. Disappointed though with the small portion of 3 mushrooms with limited mozzarella cheese £6.75. Very small amount of salad with roast veg panini. Tasty but rather overpriced. Washroom was not as clean as should be. Bin full and hand papers and splashed water on floor. Toilet and wash areas need checking more regularly when well used.

Delicious Alfredo mushrooms and cream of mushroom soup, perfectly balanced tastes, I definitely recommend these dishes and this place in Preston, Moka on the balcony, thanks to the lady chef.

Had an hour to spare today waiting for a train so called in for a coffee and milkshakes for the kids. Very comfortable with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Lovely coffee, great service and the kids demolished the milkshakes. Highly recommended 🙂

Food tasted brilliant. I had the tomatoes and Mozzarella and pesto panini and they didn't disappoint, Fresh ingredients too. Will go here again.

What a lovely place to have lunch! Sat upstairs with my family. Irish server was amazing! Food was tasty, arrived in good time and good value for money. Highly recommend (we had the Moka beef burger, Moka Halloumi burger, soup and sandwich)

Been going to this cafe for years sad to say my visit today with my husband was very disappointing the cafe looks very rundown and could do with a good clean portion sizes have reduced i had the Moka beef burger and it was cold an tastless staff standing a round doing alot of nothing i so one couple get up an get there own menu sorry to say i won't be returning 😢

Shame really, used this place for absolutely years. Went into today 21st Oct 2023, unfortunately it's gone down hill for me. Never have most of the meals on the menu, it's filthy, young staff not interested and portions sizes have halved in size, prices are quite expensive as well. It needs a good manager, refurbishment, a proper menu to turn this place around. I can't see it lasting much longer.

Just popped here to buy a sandwich to take on my train journey. It was absolutely delicious, made freshly on lovely bread. Loads of tuna to fill it, and all packed in a sturdy box. I added a can of coke, and it was all put in a bag with some napkins. The service was lovely and friendly. All this was less than £5! Absolutely superb!

Nice place, great service pleasent staff, only problem was the atmosphere was spoilt by screaming children.

What a life-changing experience. My husband and I were helped by a wonderful young woman named Nicole. She was a true light to our evening and even made us reconsider our pending divorce. Not only have we decided to give our marriage another try due to her incredible service, we have also agreed to name our first-born child after her. She gave us hope in humanity once again. We will be returning to Moka regularly because the food is great and tipping Nicole is much cheaper than marriage counselling. 5 Stars.

Great place in between shopping

Came for a bottle of Chardonnay. Fast service and lovely servers. Even a funny moment of the blonde one (sorry I don’t know your name) tackling a hornet for inside customers.

Most of it pre prepared food they will put everything in oven once you ordered,chips and onion rings are fine

I ordered a Steak Baguette at Moka on the balcony, delicious and filling, btw, made by chef Red hair. Plating, presentation and taste- 5 stars. I recommend.

I had the opportunity to serve a steak + side dish at Moka on the balcony in Fishergate Shopping Centre, Preston Lancashire, as a tourist and a non-English speaker, and my luck was that I met the chef Daniela who also helped me cook,, like at my mother's the home ". I kiss your hand and I recommend 👍🇷🇴🙏

Excellent food and friendly staff

Food was amazing but service wasn't unfortunately. Ordered our food and received our bill straight away. We weren't asked if we wanted to order anything else. We would of had a few more drinks and a desert we were just handed the bill before we even received our food.

Afternoon shopping in Preston started in the best possible way. Lovely and comfortable contemporary seating area. Professional and friendly staff and the best jacket potatoe and filling i've ever had. Filling was bacon, chicken and mayo with nice side salad. I actually expected it would be a very mixed creamy affair that you usually get , which would have been completely fine. However it was strips of hot chicken and slivers of crispy bacon with mayo drizzled across it all. I know it was only a jacket potatoe dish but WOW. It was delicious! Wish i'd took a picture, it also looked fantastic. Definately be back next time in town. Wife had a very enjoyable brie and bacon panini. Pot of tea for 2 rounded us off nicely. Highly recommended. Thank You

I went only for a teacake and a coffee. Which was all OK. However whilst I was there I heard the staff putting off potential diners that came in at 4.00pm. Saying they were close to closing. I thought closing time was 5.00pm but in most eating establishments last orders would be at this time. I have been a restauranter most of my life and if I was the owner of Moka I would not employ people who were rejecting the potential of extra custom. Especially in these difficult financial times. A worried onlooker

Went to Moka with my sister. Excellent food and service. Will definitely go again next time I'm in Preston.

Awful customer service. Worst I've had in a long time. Served by a woman with brown hair with a pink and black choker necklace . Rude and abrupt and "forgot" drinks off our order,when mentioned she just shrugged it off .Had a child with additional needs who started becoming dysregulated because of this as he didn't get his drink. Paid for 2 drinks then left . Had family visiting from the lake district and thought we would go for lunch, but her attitude ruined our experience and we didn't want to stay. We visited next door instead to a more welcoming service and atmosphere. If she can't be be bothered dealing with people she shouldn't be at work. Will NEVER visit again

The service was fairly slow, had to ask for our scone after the hot food arrived as they’d forgotten. Ordered another drink which was delivered to the wrong table. However, the food was a very good standard and a reasonable price. Very impressed, will return.

Inside Fishergate centre. Meal was very good and got a free childs meal. Highly recommended

Had some toast earlier in the week. Lovely. Today ate in as I have a case with me. Was totally horrible. It’s very simple with toast. Butter it as soon as it comes out the toaster. Won’t miss Preston

Really lovely breakfast. This full breakfast (£9.95) comes with beans (which I didn't want) and two pieces of black pudding (I gave one of mine to my partner). Toast and coffee are charged separately. I had a cappuccino which was lovely. The staff are very friendly and service was quick, as it was very quiet. This was the Moka cafe in the Fishergate Centre not the cafe on the high street.

Had to wait 10 minutes for a table but no longer than the waitress advised and a seat provided for my Grandma who walks with a stick, so all good on that front. Plenty of choice for food and very accommodating for spice preferences as I asked for the spices on the Mexican salad to be dialled back, and they were. We had a leisurely lunch, didn't feel rushed at all but certainly always someone around to ask for more drinks / the bill. Will definitely bring family and friends back. Thank you!

The staff are very friendly, and the food is amazing, as you can see homemade chips and the fish it's the best one I have had for awhile. Worth a visit.

I met some friends here for lunch yesterday. The menu includes soup, sandwiches, jacket potatoes etc but Moka has more of a restaurant feel than most places, especially on the ground floor level. The food is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. A great place for ladies who lunch!

A bit slow but otherwise okay,needs a bit of a refurbishment esp chairs and table tops. Chairs a bit low for tables and unnecessarily lean back. Had to ask for table to be wiped down it hadn't been done beforehand. By the time our pizza was ready you'd think it would be hot but in fact it was just about warm,same with the coffee as long wait . Would probably recommend but not necessarily my first choice !

Always had AMAZING FOOD here and the staff are lovely. But on this occasion I did not like the burger as I ordered beef and it tasted and smelt like lamb which I can not stand.The manager did ask on the food and my reply was don't like it so I got back don't know why not.......what kind of a reply is that from a manager he offered me discount after I sat and ate fries. Feeling stared at all the time after complaining and watch when going to pay for him to offer 25% off....I would of still paid in full rather than be embarrassed. Wouldn't mind took 45 mins to get food. Never felt so uneasy ever with the little lepricorn watching my every move. Will still return on a day he doesn't work as all the other staff are amazing. Ps did get told at the end the beef is cooked in the same oven as the lamb so I wasn't wrong. Anyway just to let you know if you hate lamb don't get beef cooked in same oven and we all know lamb has a smell of it own. Anyway lovely staff apart from the snotty manager.

Really disappointed no imagination re presentation, skimpy filling in panninis/baguette we ordered little bare minimum, overpriced. Have to say staff were lovely though but all in all disappointing.

Absolutely love coming here with my daughter. Child friendly, wonderful friendly staff, clean, food was lovely. I had a vegetarian breakfast and my daughter had toast. All were cooked lovely. My daughter (who unsually is fussy) wants to go there every time we are in the city centre

Genuinely impressed with MOKA today. 4 adults, 3 young kids, seated without an issue, helped with fussy kids and tweaking items on the menu without any bother. Staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was an issue! Food was amazing, service was amazing. Loved the place and will be back soon enough I’m very sure!

Light breakfast and tea cake, both delicious, cooked to perfection, would totally recommend. Hash browns, beans and sausage all delicious, eggs cooked beautifully. So tasty!!

The burgers were great.. Chips had an odd taste to them. And the coffee a little weak... All matters of taste I guess.. But just my opinion

Went here yesterday with my Mum for lunch. Great location in the heart of Preston city centre with friendly and professional staff and lovely food (I had the teriyaki chicken with noodles and my Mum had a jacket potato with tuna). Highly recommended! :)

Quite a poor visit sadly. It was sunny so we sat outside; however it had rained the day before and the cushioned seating was soaking, something I didn't discover until I was soaked through and I heard other guests being offered bin bags to sit on! But the damage was done, I was embarrassingly wet so we had to stay and eat in order for my jeans to start drying out. We had a brie & bacon panini each - sadly it was very dry, lacked filling and no cranberry! Really disappointing visit.

First visit, was very impressed, excellent food and service.

Went and had breakfast at Moka because my housemates suggested it. I had the American breakfast, it was superb, and the portion sizes are very generous. I highly recommend.

Lots of empty shelves lots of items not priced very short sell by dates or out of date if you don't check long ques at tobacco counter and always out of stock fish counter gone downhill hardly any choice nice meat but expensive ladies clothes very old fashioned

Been a favourite of mine for the last 2 to 3 years food and staff are allways helpful easy going and ready to assist or correct mistakes immediatley without question, the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served.

Went to look for a place to wait in,until my train arrived. Stumbled on this place inside Fishergate centre. It was very inviting. The staff were very approachable. They also had table service which was an added bonus. The presentation of flapjack and hot chocolate was perfect. Nice little gem.

Oriental manager is so rude to the point we went elsewhere.. bad customer service

All staff were very nice - especially one who seemed to go above and beyond. A youngish guy who was great from setting foot in the door - and noticed how polite he was with all customers, including opening the door for some elderly ladies. Food was also lovely and well presented.

Stopped for coffee and breakfast before the Christmas shop, very very impressed with attitude of staff, cleanliness and food. Food was lovely and hot, coffee was streaming, we normally go to Starbucks but never again!!
