Mohsen in Kensington and Chelsea

The restaurant is down the street from our hotel and we chose to have dinner here for convenience. But, it became one of our favorite meals from our trip. The food and service were excellent. The Naan is made fresh in an authentic oven. We highly recommend!

Great family owned authentic Iranian restaurant. The first place I visit when coming to London. The food is always a 10/10 and the service as well. Try the Makhsoos

My friend invited me there for dinner. We ordered one mix grill, two starters, one bottle of water, two teas, and two desserts. He was charged 160 pounds. Unbelievable and outrageous! I saw the total but not the breakdown. I asked my friend why he didn’t challenge him. As he was the host, he didn’t want me to worry about the price. Moreover, with the exception of the lamb chops, the rest of the kebabs were horrible. The koobideh and chicken were uncooked and smelled badly. I don’t know where the positive comments come from. Maybe there were different owner and chef.

The food is excellent. Family business and they are nice. But the prices have crept up quite steeply over the years. From £13 to now £23 for their main popular dish, momtaz. Won't be able to frequent it as much as I'd like to, solely due the pricing. Everything else is great.

I've had the minced lamb and sea bass before. The sea bass is very good, but the minced lamb was one of the best meals I've ever had! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Amazing, authentic, healthy Iranian food at reasonable prices.

The food is good but the attitude is terrible. The lady owner wants to decide for you what you want to eat ..... and obviously she picks for you the most expensive dish in the menu. She went as far as saying that for her it was not worthwhile to serve so little food for a table of 10 people. Very very distasteful. I will not go back. It is a pity because the food is genuinely good.

Fantastic food and attentive service. The Mirza Ghasemi was delicious, the grills tender and tasty. I know prices in general have gone up but this was still very good value. I would go back just for the tea! Thank you.

We had a wonderful meal for a university field trip - lots of students came so a big party needed to be catered for, but the staff were patient and happy to advise on how best to order to accommodate the numbers and dietary requirements. Everyone enjoyed their meal which was delicious and looked very impressive - very delicious and certainly the best Persian restaurant I have been to in London. Family run and attentive to details, a lovely space to entertain. Kheyli mamnoon!!

The food was delicious, and I cannot say much about it. Few issues here - 1. They don't give you tap water, and charge £2.5 for a 33cl bottle of water. 2. The prices are very much on the higher end. Is it worth the taste of experience, may be not 3. They charge 15% gratuity. I think it's a lot given the quality of service. 4. The gentleman was friendly, but the lady seemed like she didn't want us to be there. I see this as a place that seems to want to milk every customer that visits their establishment. Needs to change the atitude.

It’s my first time visiting Mohsen Persian Cuisine restaurant and it won definitely not be the last!! It’s been a very long time since I treated such delicious authentic Iranian food. The kashke bademjaan, koohideh, barg and qormeh zabzee with lamb were outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone in London wanting to taste Iranian food must visit Mohsen.

Mohsen is one of my favourite restaurants in London and the best Iranian food I’ve ever had. We always opt for the mixed grill plate, and it never disappoints. A lovely, relaxed, family run restaurant with amazing service, will definitely be back!

I went with my wife for dinner around 7 PM on 28th of July 2023. We love to eat Iranian kebab and kebab kobedeh with nan. I have ordered Kobedeh with nan and my wife kobedeh with rice. The food was really rubbish and unhealthy. The kobedeh kebab was yellowish and old. They have added a lot of Turmeric and other spices in order to remove bad smell and the aging and unhealthy meat. We have paid about £59 for our rubbish food. We are strongly advice Iranian not to waste their health and money there.

This is the best Persian restaurant I have ever been to. The bread was being made fresh and the koobideh is so juicy and delicious. All the staff members there were very kind as well and brought the food pretty quickly. The atmosphere was like I was in a restaurant in Iran and the decor was beautiful.

The restaurant is like a cafe with overpriced food. Too oily koobideh kebab which made me sick. Won’t visit it again. Not recommended at all.

Had dinner at Mohsen one night. Absolutely delicious food with a variety of options on the menu. The bread is baked fresh right there in the restaurant’s tandoor oven. Highly recommend!

I has last attended 10 years ago when it was good value. Now prices have gone though the roof. Starters portions are minute and 4 small pieces of baklava dessert £7. Main courses were OK. As another visitor has said a bottle of water was put on the table without asking and then charged at £6 (+service added). Restaurant cafe lick and will not visit again due to high prices and small portions. cost £40/head which included corkage charges of £12..

As we sat down a bottle of cheap water was placed on the table and immediately opened. This was not at our request and the price turned out to be a £6 plus service charge. A blatant attempt to rip us off. Request for tap water was (against statutory regulations) refused. This restaurant is little better than a cafe and prices are exorbitant

This is a very local, family run, neighborhood place. The food was very good and a great value. The owners made us feel very welcome. We ended up taking quite a lot of food home to have the next day. Would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Came here on Saturday 2nd Oct as a party of 4. Pretty much left it to the server to choose the dishes after she explained to us what various ones were. The food was plentiful and very enjoyable. Very helpful host. Can’t comment on price...

We booked a table for eleven, before a fitness event at Olympia. The waitress was very cross that we all chose the joojeh chicken dish. We were told that the restaurant had been opened 27 years ago and that we should order their infamous grills....

We went for dinner having phoned and reserved a table for 3 people. Apart from us there were only two other tables occupied. However, they gave us a table for two people and put a chair as an add on . It was not comfortable and too small. Food was mediocre and the Iranian tea was the blandest tea I have ever tasted. The prices were ridiculously high: water £5, service charge £17, crispy rice at bottom of pan which they normally throw out £7 ! Competition for Iranian restaurants in London is high and experienced far better food and service elsewhere.

Hands down the best Persian food I've ever had!We ordered the Chelo Koobideh and Zereshk Polo Morg which were both faultless. The Koobideh was buttery soft and flavourful. The Zereshk Polo was phenomenal: the stew was rich and had a subtle but noticeable saffron taste running through out which was delicious.We ended the meal with crisply golden and moist baklava accompanied by saffron tea. Perfect end to the perfect meal.Really, really enjoyed everything we ate here. You should definitely give this place a visit!

I have been going to Mohsen ever since they opened, which seems like at least 20 years ago; it is family owned and the owners have always taken a pride in the quality of what they deliver. The restaurant maintains a fantastic level of consistency, with the meat always been very well cooked and seasoned. The food is well presented and very authentic, while always served with a smile. The offer both takeaways and a lovely in restaurant dining experience. It is certainly worth a visit and is always a welcome treat.

Sirven platos excelentes construidos sobre bases sólidas de arroz deliciosamente húmedo, pollo sumamente suculento y los cortes de cordero más tiernos servidos como brocheta. La experiencia es la misma ya sea que ingrese o se la entreguen. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente. Los propietarios y el personal son personas verdaderamente buenas.

Como residentes de la zona desde hace mucho tiempo, hemos visitado Mohsen con regularidad durante muchos años. Por lo tanto, fue decepcionante cuando el restaurante tuvo que cerrar temporalmente debido a las instrucciones del gobierno en la pandemia de Covid-19. Sin embargo, ¡recientemente abrieron para llevar! Lo hemos usado tres veces durante la última semana. Excelente, como siempre. Buena relación calidad-precio y muy buena comida generosa. Recomiendo cualquiera de las parrillas, de verdad, con arroz (aunque la ensalada alternativa también es buena). Ayer probamos la lubina por primera vez, que fue excepcional. Normalmente empezamos con pan y 'cesta de ensalada' (Panor o Sabzi) y, a veces, la Salad Olivieh o una de las ensaladas de yogur. Sin duda volveremos a "comida para llevar" y esperamos que el restaurante pueda volver a abrir por completo en poco tiempo.

This was my first experience in a Persian restaurant. The owner knew we new to the restaurant and straight away asked if we needed help with the menu and if he could recommend anything. We chose his recommendations ( can’t pronounce them) but they were outstanding, fresh ‘bread’ baked in the oven next to us which was to die for. Can’t fault service, friendliness and quality of food. Vaya por el naan casero, la canasta de hierbas frescas que consiste en menta fresca, estragón, cilantro y rábano, queso feta y hummus. El suculento cordero y pollo a la parrilla servido sobre un arroz basmati fueron excepcionales. Más allá de sabroso!

Después de escuchar cosas buenas sobre este restaurante, visité a amigos con altas expectativas. Lamentablemente, la comida era en el mejor de los casos mediocre con cantidades bastante insignificantes de salsas. El pan recién horneado era bueno. El kebab de pollo no era interesante al igual que el montón de arroz y más bien desagradable el tomate asado. El servicio se apresuró para que la comida no fuera tan relajada. No me molestaría en volver.

Turned up with work colleagues for a Christmas dinner. The service and food from beginning to end was 9.5/10. The saffron chicken was 10/10. Highly recommended.
