Mogul Balti Ghor in Bradford

Delicious food and lovely friendly staff. We had a mix of starters and I had chicken balti which was gorgeous. My friend said her fish curry was the nicest she’d ever tasted. The staff were very helpful with recommendations and excellent friendly service.

The first time here, poor service, young lad had no clue and clearly not trained on how to act customer facing! Couple on the next table walked out as no one attended to them and apparently regulars! Food was very basic, little taste and not what a regular curry eater would expect. Try with caution!

I have been visiting this restaurant for years and it just gets better each time I visit. I now live 40 miles away but from time to time I will go for an evening meal and enjoy the food and and the staff all of whom are friendly and go out of their way to make your evening as pleasant asthey possibly can. It is probably the smallet quaint little pklace I have ever eaten at but all this adds to the wonderful ambiance. Well worth a visit

A really good curry. We three had peshwari nans as well as deep fried prawn starters and dansaks and Korma. All delicious. Will use again.

I already wrote a review of this restaurant under the name of the Moghul, really the two names you have for this restaurant should be combined.

Visited last night at short notice. 2 families with kids. Restaurant was quiet so no problem getting a table. It’s BYOB but we knew in advance so was fine. Service was good and friendly throughout. Plenty to choose from on the menu and a decent selection for kids too. Poppadoms and pickle tray were ok. Curries were all pretty nice although a couple didn’t seem quite as ordered. We did request some food to be doggie bagged but when leaving we asked for it but it had been thrown away which was annoying. Overall not too bad for the price we paid. Was it one of the best places around? No, unfortunately not, there’s much better on the doorstep in Otley, Ilkley and Guiseley and same sort of price too.

We've always loved the moghul. They did our wedding food 15 years ago. Consistently good food. We've just had a curry tonight and I must say it was AMAZING. Think they might have a new chef? Anyway it was always fantastic before but they have stepped up a notch recently. We are at Akbar's in Bradford last weekend and it was lovely but nowhere near Moghul standards. Thanks Shuba!

The great thing about the Mogul is that you take your own booze!! Great menu selection and reasonable prices with good portions. We have eaten quite a few times here and tried various dishes, all over f which have lived up to expectations. Succulent tender meat and flavoursome spices. Family run and very friendly.

As usual well worth the visit, after a long journey from the south. Fourth time in a couple of years, but remembered! Friendly, great food.

Only had a takeaway and it was fine, but not memorable. I've eaten in a few years ago and was disappointed and having tried again would only go back if very tired and not bothered to drive a bit further afield as it is local to me.

Quite a small venue but a wonderful place, extremely friendly and welcoming. Good food and service. It is also a 'take your own alcohol' restaurant. Which I often prefer.

Our local curry house and we are always assured of a friendly welcome! The food is always top notch and the curries are delicious! I definitely recommend the machli shashlick..... Cannot recommend this place enough!

We visited this restaurant on a cold and wet Friday night but we were welcomed into the warm, small pleasant dining room. Unfortunately, as it was very busy we were seated at a small corner table where both of us were facing a wall. The food was ok but not to get excited about. A little incident that spoilt the evening was that the waiter lifted both of the puri breads by hand to see which was which as we were both having similar starters. The saving grace is that you can take your own drinks. The atmosphere was excellent.

Not a huge menu but still lots of choice. The Bangladesh options are amazing and the sprinkle of Pomegranete seeds on teh top was a nice colourful touch. The taste of the curry is a million miles away from anything generic as they use complex spices. It is by far the best curry we have had in years and certainly better than some of the obvious choices you could go for such as Akbar, Agraah or Westbourne. Appreciate it is a different style to perhaps the afore mentioned joints. I'm just basing my review on curry taste and its certainly my favourite style and choice. The owner is also loads of fun and has a great sense of humour. Definitely going back...also visit the wine cellar on the corner for your booze beforehand. Great wine choice and he has a beer bunker to choose from!

We've been visiting the Moghul for a few years and have never failed to be impressed. Having introduced many friends to Schuba and his team, everyone gives positive feedback regarding the food, the fantastic and friendly service and the fabulous value for money. This is the best Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant in the area, bar none.

8 of us out for the day in Ilkley as we where travelling by train we stopped of here rang the restaurant and they managed to fit us in early. Great service even told us where to go to buy drinks (they don't have a licence) The food was good we all enjoyed it

We have been going to the Mogul for at least 18 years. The fantastic Bangaleshi food is always tasty and the service is always excellent. Shobar and his staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is bright and modern. Well worth a visit.

My Daughter recommended this restaurant and we went on Saturday. Such a nice welcome and as you take your own drink it was an extremely cost effective meal. I liked the sauces with the poppadum's and my onion barjee dip was very different and tasty. We will go back.

My family and I have been visiting here for ages and its atmosphere, cuisine and staff never fail to impress. Our children love their visit to see "Uncle Shuba" and he in turn loves them to visit him ! We have a family tradition of visiting for each of our birthdays and there's six of us ! Brill idea as all the gang enjoy. The team of HK & TC in the kitchen and Saj & Malik in the restaurant make the visit even better. The food is fresh, flavourful and really tasty. The guys know how we like the curries here so we are well looked after! This is best Curry restaurant I have visited in a very long while and if you do come and join us here I assure you that disappointment is not on the menu !

Along with many people, I am a regular visitor and this unique restaurant never ceases to impress me and my family. The service is great with friendly, efficient waiters that help to give the place a real sense of home. The food is freshly cooked to a very high standard and there is plenty to choose from for all tastes and preferences. Based on previous experiences, the Moghul puts it's rival curry house, The Red Chilli, to shame. I would highly recommend the Moghul to anyone as you won't be disappointed.

This is one of the best "Indian" restaurants I've ever eaten in!It's a bit of a "hole in the wall", in that the shop front is small, but there are plenty of tables inside. We had the place more or less to ourselves when out party of 5 were there, but many people were coming in to collect food, they must do a lively trade in take away too, which I presume is a good part of their business.The food was very very tasty. Spicy, but not so "hot" as to kill the multiple flavours present in the various dishes we tried. Unlike many restaurants doing food from the great sub-continent, when you ask for a certain "temperature" to the hotness, that's what we got.I was there with my brother, who used to live up the street from the place - well over a decade ago - so I had been before, but I'd forgotten just how good this place is. A real treasure!
