Gorgeous meal as usual. Tuna steak with lemon butter … what’s not to like? Good wine list, attentive service, and a warm welcome. Great place for a family catch up

First time to visit. Food was excellent quality. Our main waiter was brilliant, some of the other staff not so attentive. Unsure if which wine to recommend, we were asked to open the bottle of wine ourselves, which is ok I guess, but when paying £33 for a bottle I would expect a little extra service. The chap that filleted our fish was brilliant, and clearly knew his stuff. Overall a nice place to visit. Atmosphere was relax and lovely. Would definitely return

Lovely place and amazing staff. All the food was excellent...except for one course sadly. I had the duck breast which I could forgive being slightly overcooked. However, the pepper on the fat was far too much - I could not taste the duck at all as it was completely over-powered by the pepper. I didn't raise it at the time as it was a very special occasion and I didn't want to bring down the atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this place as everyone else's food was amazing. Including my starter and dessert! Definitely will be back!

We hosted our Mum & Dad's 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebrations at the Miskin Arms. There was 20 of us so they gave us their private dining room which made our celebration 🍾 very special. The service from the staff was outstanding and the food was to die for. Thank you so much Miskin Arms for helping us make memories to cherish forever.

Very disappointed. We've eaten here before and experienced great food and service, however last night was a huge let down. My chicken was inedible and not fully cooked. But more disappointingly, not one member of staff checked if we were enjoying our meal. When a waitress finally came to collect our plates, I told her this, and yet we were still charged the full amount with no apology whatsoever. We won't be back. The one star is for the starter, which was nice.

Called here on the way to the vale hospital, we told staff we only had an hour to spare. We ordered the special starter and main £17.95 Starter..I had paté and my wife had the vegetable soup. My wife and daughter had the deep fried cod and chips, the cod was so succulent. The chips were real potatoes peeled by hand and deep fried. I had the roast chicken with seasoned roast potatoes All topped with a nice glass of wine. They managed all this within the hour we specified Highly recommend this place Looks like a small country pub on the outside but it’s massive inside due to the extension Would be a lovely place for a wedding venue Thank you all for your fantastic food and astounding service. We will definitely be back 👍

Looks like a lovely place to eat, we just went in for a drink, bought a glass of wine and a pint of beer £15.50 Went outside to sit and the tables and chairs were wet, I started to dry them with my tissues and accidently spilt my wine, my husband went back into the bar to get me another one and explained what had happened, the bar maid just said £9.50 please. ☹️

I had a great experience at the Miskin Arms recently. The pub is located in a lovely setting, and the interior is warm and inviting. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I had the fish and chips, which were cooked to perfection. The pub also has a great selection of beers on tap. I would definitely recommend the Miskin Arms to anyone looking for a traditional pub experience with good food and drink.

Miskin Arms Pub is a very nice environment, a huge parking area, a really nice environment with its extraordinary wines, friendly staff and a place you should definitely try among the places you should definitely try if you are on your way to the south west.

Turned up with no reservation and waitress managed to find a table. Food and service were superb. Next time will book a table.

Rather noisy but otherwise everything was excellent.

The food we had at Miskin Arms was lovely. Four of us chose the lunchtime special, a choice of starters and mains for under £18. This turned out to be a great option, tasty food delivered quickly to our table. The service was attentive and efficient, their manner was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back to try their two-course all day option for £32 which seems to include some more expensive options in the mains selection!

My partner and I had a fantastic meal here. It was extremely busy but the atmosphere was lovely, the staff were very helpful, friendly and informative. We went up to the counter to choose our food, the server was very helpful in helping us choose the best way to have it cooked. I had tge lamb noisettes and my partner, the Ribeye steak, it was superb! We'll definitely be back.

From the moment you step inside until you leave, you are well treated. A warm welcome, no rush to order food. Excellent choice. The rib eye steak was superb and the lamb noisettes I am told were lovely too. The salad selection was fresh and tasty. Wide selection of wines. Staff very helpful if needed. Overall fantastic quality meal in a lovely location with staff who knew their roles and madr service look effortless.

Popped in here on Thursday for lunch with my long-suffering wife. We had two courses each. I had the meatballs to start with fish and chips for my main course and my wife had the melon, pineapple and raspberry juice for start with lamb and parsnips for her main course. The food was of a very high standard and delicious. The service was excellent and the table was lovely and clean too. My wife and I are very fussy. However, we found the food and service to be excellent overall and we will definitely go back here for more meals. My wife also had one of their desserts which was delicious. Please support this local business. It is worth a visit.

This was our first first visit. What a fantastic experience we had. We went with very good friends of ours, who had been before. Lovely venue, excellent service, and a great menu to choose from. We had the Sunday roast. Well cooked, and very tasty. Plenty of freshly cooked veg, and between the four of us, we couldn't finish it all. The Miskin Arms is set in a beautiful part of the village. We will definitely be returning.

Visited today for a anniversary with the family. The food was lovely and the waiting staff were very attentive and efficient. It's lovely and clean with ample parking. It's a little bit more expensive than other restaurants in the area but it was lovely. Will be visiting again

At £34 for a fillet steak, plus starter, plus salad, plus steak sauce, drinks and dessert, you'd expect to get a complimentary bread basket, but no that's extra. Nice enough but not quite enough to get me racing down again for a few years.

Lovely food but extortionate prices! You are invited to go up to choose your food at the front where the uncooked fish, meat, selfish etc are on display. I was offered a dover sole which was weighed at the cost of £49! I opted for the garlic prawns starter at £7.50 and a10oz sirloin at £29 instead! My partner chose the avacado prawns starter and the rack of lamb which was £22. The food was delivered promptly with a single tray of mediocre chips and basically nothing else on the plates. No sakads, sauces or trimmings were included, despite the extortionate cost. In summary, the food is nice but definitely not value for money. Our bill came to £116. Worth a one off visit if you can afford it but would not recommend otherwise.

Wow. One of the best places I have ever eaten. The venison was incredible.

The place obviously has a really good reputation as a mod week evening meal proved as every table was taken. Personally I felt the food was very overpriced. £40 for a piece of fish (sole), £20 for a potion of beef. Chips are a measley portion to be shared between two. I had the meal offer- a high price of £26 for 2 courses! Lamb koftas- tasty enough, but again 2 small kofta on a plate. I had the beef in sauce, a decent amount of beef and it was goos very well (however some was well done and some medium rare), however it was served with some peas, a sprig of cauliflower, 1 green beans and a carrot. The food was nice, but I wouldn't pay that price again. The service was good, the guy is charge wasn't the friendliest- I get the feeling he was quite full of self-importance and happy to engage with his regulars. If money isn't a worry for you then this is probably a very nice meal out, I thibk ots extremely overpriced.

We were attending a wedding at the Castle and popped in for dinner. Lovely place, staff friendly and so nice that you can pick what you want to eat and it's all cooked fresh. Atmosphere was nice and went above and beyond. Will definitely come back.

We stop off after arriving after a long trip from Cornwall on a Friday lunchtime the food was A1 All the staff was great said we would go back in the week as we was in the area stop off late Sunday afternoon said we would only like a couple of drinks but made to feel like you have to order food not only drinks from a older guy who maybe the owner or manger we than decided that we would eat but again made to feel it was to much we do understand they was very busy on the day and it was right at the end of service we did not gone back not because of the food or the staff just the attitude of the owner/manager

This is an absolute gem of a place! The atmosphere is great, and the restaurant is light and airy whilst still being cosy and intimate. Staff are friendly and helpful and really know the dishes. The fresh fish and meat displays are a fine sight. There are dishes to suit all tastes. I went for Sunday lunch and had the best rib of beef I've ever eaten. I will definitely be returning to the Miskin Arms and I cannot recommend them enough.

Visited for a birthday meal. Staff were helpful when asking suggestions about the fish and very attentive throughout the meal. Food was absolutely amazing. Starters and mains were cooked perfectly and full of flavour . Nice choice of desserts. My son said the chesscake was the best he's tasted. Will definitely recommend to friends and will definitely be visiting again soon x

Very disappointed after a family meal wont return. lack of vegetarian options, owners reply to previous review that "they should go to a vegetarian restaurant" is very disappointing! surely you would like to please all your customers in a party! 2 vegetarian options, vegetarian lasagne had no pasta just tomatoe sauce and peppers and 2 children's options. Chips very poor and all meals ordered were very small potions. No menu at tables had to queue by meat counter and order there. Some staff obliging some not! For the price would have expected alot better!

Lovely atmosphere, well decorated, the entryway on the car park side can be a bit treacherous but it has gorgeous views over Miskin. The food is amazing, I usually always have the same thing (whole Sea Bass cooked in rock salt) and it’s cooked to perfection every time, my only gripe is I can get the exact same thing in terms of quality and quantity for £10 less at another restaurant so I tend to opt going there as my first choice, I think the mark up on that fish in particular is a touch excessive.

Never had a bad meal. last visit on 14 March. Excellent duck and always love the fresh salad. Great atmosphere and the service is spot on

Lovely place, accessible from the front of the building, long steps from the back. Lots of meat and fish choice, only 2 offers for vegetarians today, which was vegetable lasagne or Glamorgan sausages. So I had cheese starter with fries for lunch. Nice choice of desserts and lots of choice in after dinner coffee. Lovely atmosphere, our table was for 6 people at 12 noon & we were seated straight away and offered drinks very quickly. It looked very popular as it soon filled up. Pleasant service and reasonable prices. Food arrived quite quickly. Didn't use the toilet facilities as I was told they were upstairs, so don't know if they have an accessible toilet. Plenty of parking spaces around the back. Overall a very nice experience.

Having been here for christmas with friends and it was lovely thought we'd go for lunch today. Waitress took our drinks order, they didn't arrive she forgot to give it in to the bar. Asked for menus to be told we had to go and choose off chalk boards by the kitchen not a particular issue but would have been better to have been told that on arrival. Sunday lunch 2 courses for £24, what they do not tell you until you query the bill is that it is a starter and main only not main and pudding. Charged £19 for a main and then the pudding cost on top. The main was nowhere good enough to charge £19 - 2 pieces of meat and 3 roast potato's 2 of which were very hard and a small dish of veg between 2. I was very disappointed, especially after the beautiful food in December.

On arrival we were shown to our table and asked for our drink orders. After a while I asked if I could have the food menu as we had not been given one. We were then told we had to go to the food counter and order there. We then had to wait an hour for our food, which spoilt the whole New Year lunch experience. Overall, the food was good, but in our view overpriced. Although the staff seemed friendly, the communication with new customer's needs to be improved to avoid experiences like we endured today.

Three of us had lunch at The Miskin Arms yesterday where the food was was flavoursome and beautifully served by friendly staff. Altogether a smashing experience!

We had an unscheduled stopover nearby and searched somewhere close to have dinner. We were offered an early sitting which suited us. We had the Christmas menu although a la carte was available and you could mix either menu. The food was prompt and delicious. Service was immaculate, each staff member had their own role, to serving drinks, replenishing cutlery, or removing finished plates. The atmosphere was lively which we enjoyed and the place had a great festive feel too. Would definitely recommend. They are obviously doing something right here, keep it up, hope to be back sometime.

Absolutely loved it here, food was beautiful, service was excellent and there was a lovely atmosphere. They were able to accommodate our impromptu Christmas party very late in the evening and provide us with a 3 course meal, staff were very friendly and always made sure we had plenty of drinks. You can only review your actual experience which unfortunately was not very good. First time here with friends looked very smart. Initially ordered drinks for 6.4 came quickly and we were left waiting, I had to ask twice where ours were before they arrived. Ordered food,Deep fried cauliflower cold,had to be sent back. My wife Ordered Swordfish which again had to be sent back due to lack of swordfish taste and texture. Waitress came and cleared table while one of the ladies was still eating and then kept returning to see if she had finished!! I addressed our poor experience with the manager who accepted the shortcomings but in no way was apologetic. They even tried to charge us for the returned swordfish!! Needless to say we will not return!!

Second time here for lunch and I must say this was better than the first time. The lunch menu was great, the roast pork loin was super, my family had the steak and mushroom pie which was huge, crammed full of beef pieces, and the roast chicken. All of this was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent as well. Note , it's advisable to book as this is a busy place. Finally good value for money.

Very mediocre experience. A few of the waiters were very abrupt and borderline rude. There is a distinct lack of options for vegetarians particularly with regard to the Sunday Roast, last time I checked we were in 2022. It wouldn’t be difficult to prep a lentil nut roast or a mushroom wellington…

Wonderful place. Food was delicious, a bit on the pricier side, but all the produce is fresh and local. The atmosphere inside was peaceful, the scenery was gorgeous. No complaints. Would definitely go again.

Overall brilliant Lunch with Miskin Arms Staff very friendly and helpful. Starters, Sunday Lunch and Desert were great. I would Highly recommend the chocolate brownie's.
