Mirchi in Stoke-on-Trent

I ordered from them several times. Delicious biryanis and am excited to try more. Everything has been tasty and good portions. Best Indian food in the area most definitely!! It’s worth it.

Good service and delicious curry

It is absolutely amazing Indian restaurant.

Yet again Kishore & staff made another family celebration outstanding. 30 of my family in the refurbished venue 20 to celebrate my 65th birthday. The food was wonderful and everyone enjoyed it, the attention to our family diatry requirements for elderly relatives and the children was perfect. We feel that there isn't anywhere better be it near or far.

Currys are good, but the nans are now awful. The nans now look like flatbreads with no bubbles and no clay flavour. Bring back authentic nans from a clay oven please.

Me and my partner had a lovely meal today. Staff very friendly, food was amazing. Well defo be back again.

5 for dinner. Very good cooking, authentic and priced reasonably. I think that it's probably the best Indian restaurant in the Potteries.

Ordered 2 Indian curries from Mirachi. Surprisingly both had same base gravy and spices was same, the only thing that different was chicken pieces and vegetables kofta(technically it was potato balls). The most disappointing part was both curries were bitter in taste. I dined at Mirchi's 5 months back and have been planning to go back ever since, bcz the food was simply amazing. That's why I ordered the same dishes from Mirachi. But this experience has made me change my mind. Mirachi@ plz have ur dishes corrected.

We came to dine in on the first of January. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed with the food. One of the waiter who served our table was really rude from the beginning. That particular man was quite abrupt. He should smile at customers and be more available. Poor service and the food is on an average level, nothing special. Cheese naan was small and too much roasted. Prices are ok.

Ordered online from a Reccomdendation. The chicken tikka masala was 100% tomato soup with chicken….. the chips hadn’t seen any heat at all and The naan bread might as well been a cracker it was That hard…..delivery Took an hour which I can deal with but the food was poor

I loved the food at Mirchi! It’s a lot more creative and varied than most Indian restaurants I have been to and incredibly tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful, plus it’s a nice building. I look forward to going again soon.

Close to Indian - Hyderabadi style

Taste is no doubt very good as compared to other Indian restaurants. If something is written spicy it is really very much spicy. Must try spot in Stoke-on-Trent.

Had a lovely time with our friends but we were left feeling disappointed with the food. We asked for medium spiced but it tasted more hot. Our friends loved their food so maybe we just ordered the wrong food. The service was quite poor, the men were quite abrupt and the ladies toilets were absolutely terrible.

A very nice place to have good Indian food. Masala dosa is really good. Service is quick and staff is humble.

We had biryani with lamb on the bone and my partner had manchurian veggie balls and veggie noodles. The biryani came in a fairly big bowl but the lamb on the bone portion was only just adequate. The lamb was tender and tasted very nice. The rice was just okay Fairly nice flavours but overrall a very dry dish and I didn't like the cloves in the rice. It was expensive for what it was! My partner enjoyed the manchurian veggie balls but said they were very spicy. She did NOT enjoy the veggie noodles as she said they were bland. I tried the noodles too and I could've done a better cooking job at home and I'm not a good cook!!!!! Most of the veggie noodles were left on the plate!! The waiter did NOT help us with our menu choices which is POOR customer service! To sum up, the food was average and expensive for what you got We may be tempted to return if there is a special offer in TWO years time!!!!!

By far the best Indian food in the area. Far from standard fare, this restaurant produces real, home cooked, truly Indian dishes. A pleasure, and surprisingly reasonable prices.

Time waste and not good restaurant

The food is good, when it is fresh. I go there for an occasional Dosa and Vada. On a number of occasions they have served stale chutneys and dosa filling. Yesterday, the dosa arrived within a minute of ordering and it was cold to touch. I asked them to replace it. The replacement was warm but not crisp. I ordered Vada for takeaway. Since they were busy and taking time to bring the check, I opened the package and decided to eat it. The chutneys were clearly a few days old. The excuse they gave was that they get packed in the morning (not). They then brought the fresh chutneys. I was not delighted paying £22. It’s a hit and miss. I would say insist on bringing fresh food if you find it stale or cold. There is no other accessible place for Dosa, so when I am craving it, I’m forced to go there and hope it will be fresh.

We found this by luck, we were very hungry after our Alton Tower dah out and looking out for options. Luckily we found Mirchi and got amazing food for our takeaway. Bear in mind the dishes are spicy as per the level you mention. We took Medium spicy and we found it perfect, but for kids take Mild.

Amazing food and company would definitely recommend don’t let the looks from the outside go in and enjoy the emasculate food they have to offer!!!

Came here after seeing the menu and reviews. Felt somewhere like It could be having food back at home, and I was pretty much satisfied finally after being to many Indian restaurants. Ordered for vegetable manchurian as started and for main course, butter naan, paneer tikka masala, mushroom pulao, and finally finished with gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream as desert. Enjoyed the whole course thoroughly. Trust me, I've been to many Indian restaurants in and around England, Wales, and Scotland, but none of them were close to the food we have back at home. But this one felt like home, purely because of the spices and freshness of the food. Would recommend this place anytime to anyone. Wanna come here again when around this place. Service was also good. Wait time: 6-8 minutes Was quite busy when I visited, but the service was quick once we has been seated.

Service along with food and price, everything is worth it. Normally I got manchester and birmingham for food but this is closest to such places in stoke

Staff is friendly and attentive. They make you feel welcome. You can now order by scanning the QR code and pay. Service was swift. I wish good was of the same quality. Naans were good. Tandoori rotis were thick and chewy. Paneer butter masala and Dal makhni were ok.

We paid for the food and dessert but when we asked for the dessert manager just come to us like we are trying to have free dessert but after showing the receipt he just left our desert on the table and ran way without an apology. Terrible customer service

Good quality authentic south Indian food. Wide menu options hence a variety of food. Friendly staff and great service. Ample parking on site. Family friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasant and nice place

Had a takeaway from this place. The butter chicken was a huge disappointment. It was sweet, extremely sweet- at a point it felt like it had lots of sugar in it. However the starters(chicken tandoori was good but not as hot as if should have been given that we live 15 minutes from the place) naans and pulav was great. But it not make up for the butter chicken and we had to sadly bin it. Look forward to try other dishes though!

Got a table for 2 of us as a walk in on a Saturday night. Service throughout our meal was good and staff were very attentive. Food was excellent and drinks prices were very reasonable. Definitely would go back. The samosa chaat and bang bang chicken were both great starters and the railway lamb curry and the lamb handi biryani again were delicious main courses.

Amazing food, brilliant service, staff is downright the best ever and most courteous locally. Mirchi family, you are awesome. Always return happy and well fed. Keep up the great work.

Mirichi used to have more delicious food than now.. we had thosa recently and it’s tasty though, should have been better than that.

Excellent food, and one of the best tandoori chicken I've ever eaten. Loved the way they serve the lemon sorbet, and loved the coconut ice cream.

We visited as a large group and had a buffet. The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. There weren't quite enough seats set out for our booking, but everything got sorted with minimal fuss. The upstairs area we were in was a little lacking in atmosphere, but the downstairs seemed nice and welcoming.

Best food ever but now to expensive

Amazing! The father in law takes us here alot. Very welcoming, they all love both our little girls, very child friendly. Staff always smart and polite. The food is unreal! I'm a fussy eater and this is the only Indian I go too! By far the best.

Very disappointing visit to this used to be our go to Indian restaurant. This was our 5th visit to the restaurant. To our surprise food quality has gone down a little with cold extremely small portion of sambhar being served with dosa and being charged for additional sambhar (usually complimentary). The most surprising part was being charged to have my left over curry packed-£1 for it. They also charged 50p extra for the spice level of curry to be hot. Overall very disappointing as this used to be a decent restaurant. We left feeling being robbed. Its not about a few extra quids but about charging unfairly.

Good ambience, expect delay in service during busy hours. Unfortunately the dosa I ordered came with coconut chutney which tasted awkward may be because it was prepared by a rotten coconut. Hope it will be better next time.

Food isn't just meh really. Curry wasn't cooked properly made and cold as if reheated in a microwave I would say order from grill section that stuff is "nicer". Peshawari naan for some reason has shujhi halwa in it for some reason and when asked they said this is what a Peshawari naan is. Don't know which Peshawar they have been going to for their naan recipe but it was nice but not something you would have with your curry.

Mirchi is the absolute best curry house we have ever been. We have tried a few both in and out of Stoke-on-Trent, know where compares. This is authentic Indian food. It's not a commercialised western curry :)

Very disappointed with the meal. Food was very cold and had to be reheated in the microwave. The chicken rogan josh tasted completely different than it typically would, the chips were disgusting and for a mild curry it was very very spicy! The only kind thing I can say is that the garlic naan was very tasty. My meal went in the bin....Will not be ordering from here again.

Our takeaway from here was absolutely amazing. The food was hot and nicely presented even in the takeaway boxes. The bang bang chicken, pasandra, railway curry and the dosa were delicious. I will be ordering again.

Frankly speaking, it was terrible. The dishes I ordered were both bland and too spicy, making it almost impossible to enjoy them. Had to throw them out. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food and feel that it was a complete waste of my money. I am a regular customer of Indian cuisine and know what to expect from a good Indian takeaway..

Not quite ‘come as a guest and leave as a friend’ but their vegan option was one of the most well presented and tastiest Indian takeaways I’ve ever had. I tipped generously, I think to the boss, and it was well deserved! Really nice family outing.

Food is okay... But the Waiter he was not friendly with customer. At least they have to give 10 minute for customers to select the food.. After the food long time to wait to get the final bill.when i ask my bill he said u can go to the counter and pay. This is not the way to treat the customers.... If i want to go and pay to the counter should tell before itself....the way of talk of that waiter is like rude.....waiter dosnt have respect to there indian customers

Had mirchi for delivery just now. Really looking forward it but highly disappointed. I ordered chicken Balti NOT chicken salt because that’s all I could taste, went straight in the bin. £30 of my well earned money wasted.

Mirchi should stop making Goan fish curry. Goan fish curry is not even close to the curry which is made in Goa. This recipe is very different like you are making a vegetarian dish rather than proper goan curry. Im very disappointed to see our own goan name been used and taste is very different. Please google goan fish curry and check the recipe for the chef. Sorry not been rude but its very disappointing.

The food was excellent, authentic and flavours from South India brought back memories of my days in Hyderabad (India). The service n hospitality was excellent too.. Recommend Mirchi for some good Indian food.

Went for Christmas lunch, advertised a children's option but kept being given the adult's portions. After receiving the starter and the main fairly quickly after finishing and ordering the pudding took nearly 45mins to come and then came with the wrong order. We got fed up at this point so didn't even stay for the coffee course as advertised on the set menu. Still got charged for an adults set of meals when we continuously told the waiter for the children's option. We've been here for curry before but found this experience quite poor. I wouldn't recommend for Christmas day to anyone

we had absolutely delicious food from Mirchi this evening, a real feast. the food is next level Indian takeaway, really beats most other things. the mutton dish was really special and the chickpea curry (chole) was such an incredible veggie option. we ordered through just eat though who were terrible, their driver was late and got lost, it took two hours to arrive. the person at Mirchi was apologetic and frustrated for me - they don't have any control over the JE drivers and the app take commission. next time we'll collect!

The best curry house in Stoke-on-Trent. We order regularly for takaway and it is perfect every time.

I will NEVER order from this restaurant again. Last 3 times I've ordered from here this restaurant has missed items from my order. RIDICULOUS. Spoke to an incompetent member of staff on the phone who said that they cannot even refund the missing items back to me! Mediocre, overpriced food with TERRIBLE customer service.

We go for a curry quite a lot as a family and not being from the area we went by the TripAdvisor rating, we were disappointed with this place. The sauces were like water and the chicken was dry and like rubber. My wife said that the woman’s toilets were dirty. Staff were helpful but will definitely would not recommend this place.
