Min's Tea Hut in Epping Forest

This was a great find and is reasonable quiet. The sausage sandwich was absolutely delicious and the hot chocolate was lovely. Great before or after a long walk in the forest!

Parked in the car park opposite The Tea Hut and thought we’d grab some food before the walk into Epping Forest. The food was delicious and amazing value - the ham baguette is highly recommended!! Thank you so much for your service. Lowri and James

When everywhere is closed, how lucky we are that the teahut is still open. The owner and staff were ensuring everyone in the queue maintained a six feet distance and the seating area was sensibly cordoned off, all staff wore gloves and face masks. Thank goodness they are still open, we are so much luckier than many.

We were out on the bikes, but there were lots of motorbikers as well as horse riders and walkers all enjoying the fare that is served up. It is always fresh and the coffee hot, and not overpriced either.

This is so much more than a tea hut. The food is top notch cafe style breakfasts. There is covered seating outside , it's great for anyone using Epping Forest, to stop and have refreshment.

Now styled the 'Original Tea Hut', I've been coming here since the 1980s when Min ran it, then Bert, then Poppy, now Bradley: three generations of the same family. After riding out a debacle with the Corporation of London, to which all their tea huts have been or are being subjected, the hut remains in family hands and has received a substantial makeover and a new car park. It is today, as it always has been, the best in the Forest, serving the most comprehensive food and drink of the lot. It has a dedicated following and a well deserved wide recognition and reputation. The food is excellent and the service friendly. Thoroughly recommended if you've come to the Forest for walking, cycling, horse riding, visiting the church or the Visitor Centre, or if you're just passing through.

Bikers, cyclists, walkers and horse riders all know the Tea Hut. Decent grub and great tea. An oasis in the forest.

Was out in our classic car and stopped to have a drink. Was great to do this and and look around other peoples pride and joy and chat. Great place.

Out on the bike, it is a great place to stop. The atmosphere is so friendly. It matters not if you are a motorcyclist, biker, horserider or walker you will be made welcome.The food is served in good time, is always fresh and is very well priced.Long may it reign.

It really is a great place to visit, bikers, cyclists, walkers, dogs you name it they turn up for a cup of tea and a chat. Good value on the drinks and eats. No fuss, quick and jolly service whatever the time of day.

A well established meeting point for bikers on a sunny Sunday. Great burger's. Salt beef sandwiches, snacks and real coffee at reasonable prices. Been going for at least 80 years, so must be doing something right. Very friendly atmosphere and great staff. Family friendly

It was cold but the welcome was as warm as toast. The coffee was instant, but it mattered not as it was hot. The egg and sausage sandwich was very good and sitting out in the open with friends is always going to be a great time.

The old tea hut has been replaced by a much bigger secure container style unit. It is more purpose made and there have been many improvements. Proper Tea and decent rolls with favourite fillings. Bacon , egg, onion etc etc

My Granddaughter and I went bike riding in Epping Forest and this was a compulsory stop as I used to come here many year ago.

One of the best places to visit for bikers. Always a welcome and the food is great. Certainly recommend the bacon or Sausage Rolls/Baps

Had excellent salt beef sandwiches here. Beautiful. Hit the spot. Heartily recommend.Owner very welcoming and friendly. Place was full of regulars whom he seemed to know. Will definitely eat here again!

Out on our bikes we made an almost obligatory stop at the tea hut for coffee and bread pudding. The coffee was passable, but the bread pudding was excellent. Definitely worth the stop as the service is second to none with their warmth and friendliness.

I sometimes stop here during a forest walk and have a cake and some water or maybe even the occasional bacon or sausage sarnie.

Bring the kids, we go with the grandkids for a sausage sandwich and tea. Lots of choices and is open every day. Great tea and coffee

This is an occasional stopping point for me, sometimes for brunch, lunch or just a brew.

Walk in the forest with the dog rounded off with a coffee and sausage & egg muffin - perfect. Been going there for twenty years ... kids, prams, wellies. Nice big chunky bench and table seating in the forest.

Muy popular entre los ciclistas. Justo al lado de la playa de New Rd hacia Epping alta. Fantástico para un aperitivo y una bebida en el comienzo o final de su pie. Todo el mundo es freindy y hay un buen ambiente. A los niños les encanta mirar las bicicletas. Esto no es bueno, pero Michelin inglés antiguo comer. . . El tocino. dicen eran lo mismo: son de primera categoría!

The Tea Hut is a regular stop when we are out on our MTB's. The coffee although not in the first class variety is cheap, always hot and most welcome. The cakes are always fresh and the value of all their fare is excellent.

We love this venue in the forest run by Bradley and his team. All the food is fresh and great value. Love the bacon and sausage rolls and a nice hot cup of tea to wash it down! Highly recommended! Keith Jane P

Tras un paseo de perros grupo estuvimos aquí para el almuerzo. Gran plato de agua para perros que era agradable. Gente que muy amable y paciente a pesar de estar muy ocupado. Resto de clientes también muy amable y acogedor. Es un punto de encuentro para ciclistas y caminantes. Tuve el mejor sandwich de bacon y una taza de té a mi hijo pequeño tenía sándwich de salchichas y tarta y disfrutamos tanto. Realmente es toda una joya sin duda recomiendo parar de aquí. Un lugar increíble! Me encantó, sin duda volveremos.

Brad will fix con un té de buena y brillante tocino butties/panecillos con o sin huevo y cebolla. ¡Fantástico! Nueva hut es genial. La ubicación era aparentemente el sitio de la original carrera speedway track - deseo había algunas fotos de entonces y ahora?

Después de un corto del cierre, el hut de té ha sido reemplazado con un propósito construido, higiénicas y totalmente equipadas nueva unidad. La gestión siguen siendo los mismos. La comida y las bebidas siguen siendo los mismos, excepto que ahora es un café con leche y café de la máquina de vapor que puedes encontrar en la calle alta (pero en el bosque). Muy buena relación calidad-precio. Un té es actualmente un 95 p y carne de hamburguesa gourmet cargada con ensalada es de £2.50.

Mi pareja y yo el perro hut nuestra visita té regularmente y siempre sentirse a gusto entre los ciclistas que frecuentan esta cabaña. Siempre podrá disfrutar de una taza de té muy decente y bastante a menudo una salchicha sandwich puerta. Todo lo anterior es de buena calidad y muy sabrosa.

Esta cabaña de té ofrece una amplia variedad de platos fríos y calientes y bebidas a precios muy razonables.La cabaña como sus asientos porteros en el aire libre comer rodeado de árboles en la hermosa Epping Forest. Es un lugar muy agradable y tiene una sensación de comunidad. La cabaña ha aparecido en la televisión muchas veces.y es visitado por muchas personas famosas. Usted tendrá una sección transversal de la sociedad allí todos los días del año, de poetas que plomeros! Excelentes para andar en bicicleta los jinetes, los jinetes, los senderistas, ciclistas, corredores y caminantes de perro de motor.
