The worst mandi restaurant in Birmingham with bad service and dirty rooms the carpet and it's not Yemeni restaurant that specialist in in Mandi's long background to be Yemenis. The worst food and meat test wearable and the chicken not mandi trying to be Mandi restaurant. Please don't confuse people change name to Mandi

First of all this is not mandi so please change the name of the restaurant. We were served rice which tasted like lemon rice, tomato pasta, vegetable curry, a few shawarma pieces and lamb and chicken without any flavored seasoning - this dish was labelled Mandi. The dish was a complete disaster which made no sense. The few shawarmas in the dish was the only thing that tasted decent. Prior to this dish, we were served with lamb soup which was lovely and packed with flavour. The staff were very dull in their service with no, delayed or little response with no smile on their faces. The young server boy was however humble and smiled at one point.

Hello I made an effort to visit around lunchtime today whilst running errands close by. On arriving found the guy having finished his lunch sitting. I said ill wait take your time. In a happy manner. I ordered a Shawarma wrap. The guy was completely rude.. For some reason. He made my food awfully and threw raw onions in there. He didn't even ask what sauce or how I wanted. Just quickly threw some topping in a to me. Tastes very poor and crap. Compared to before lockdown. He really let themselves down. I could tell he didn't make it properly. Less chicken hardly no salad and raw onions. What the heck. I'm disappointed. Rude guy with afro bun

The platters here have always been huge considering the price. The Mandi was great when we last went. The service and the food is very consistent. The chicken shawarma is lovely. The latter for 2 is enough for 3. Love this place and it’s food.

Food was alright, nothing special, service decent. It was cheap and cheerful. Family seating available for privacy

Went with family, worst service ever. Sat by the door open door and was freezing, waited for a family table in the back for over 30 minutes only to be given a free room with a couple of cushions to sit on the floor and eat. They expected my 70 year old mother to sit on the floor and eat. All the time waiting not a single person came to give us menus or ask us if we are okay and if there is anything we needed, even though I was there with a 8 year old and a 70 year old. Absolutely disgusted, will not be returning and also informing all my friends and relatives of this.

Hadramud mindi AVOID!!! Very bad experience The owner was rude Kept rolling his eyes at us We pre paid for our food despite this he gave us cold food and did not give us the pasta When questioning him about he lied the pasta has ran out which is a lie because he have it to customers after us I don’t understand why he treated us so bad!!

Shared a meal for 2 for 5 adults and 4 kids. Just nicely enough for everyone. Great food with good prices.

I visited on Saturday 2 march 2019. I had the kofta lamb sandwich and a side of fries. They gave big portions of food. The kofta lamb sandwich was very tasty and delicious. I would definitely have the lamb kofta sandwich again and visit this restaurant again.

Called to arrange a table for 6-pm and was told that will have to come and wait for 10 mins. This is difficult as with children and the space is limited in the restaurant meaning we may even have to wait outside. Person I spoke to said that people book but don't turn up and they cannot book a family room for this reason. I mean they could put the room on hold for the time and if the family do not arrive then give it to someone else. He also said that the customers don't leave on time which is understandable but at busy times they can mention that the room is booked and give customers a time. However these are issues for management to resolve and not for me to speculate on just frustrated that its a first come first served basis for family rooms which, isn't family friendly.

Having grown up in a Saudi Arabia I instantly felt nostalgic when we were shown into a little cubicle with cushions on the floor. Food was served in a large sharing plate on some plastic sheets on the floor. Drinks I used to have in Saudi as a young girl were also in sale. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. We stuffed ourselves silly. The service was impeccable and friendly. It’s very basic in terms of the venue but the service and food would not be out of place in a Michelin worthy restaurant.

Did a takeaway meal at this place. One could sit n have a meal too. Their Arabian tea n lental soup is something to try which is awesome. Had the chicken shawarma n chicken/lamb with rice which was tasty too. Would love to go back to try the other dishes. Value for money! All the best!

Everything was sooo amazing seriously the food was sooo tasty and my family loved it as they came from London and the staff was amazing and really nice and the service was great everything we asked for came just on time. I have been this place like 3 times and is always amazing food.

I'm sorry to say but it was the worst tasteless, flavourless, chewy, meals we have ever had. We have ordered lamb kouzi with rice. I got overcooked rice (sticking together), lamb was very chewy, dry and flavourless. Tomato sauce, which came with peas and carrots in it, was completely tasteless. Tasted like plain passata. Peas and carrots was not even cooked. My husband and kids had mixed grill. Again. Tasteless and absolutely no flavours. Lots of (what i assumed) soya Sauce. Chewy. Very chewy. Soup was ok but cold. We ordered some drinks and never even got them. Waiter, while taking our order, was answering nd talking to someone on the phone. Not appreciating customers. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. I don't know where they get their 5 stars reviews from?

Good food at good prices and good portion sizes. The shwarmas are a good choice, it's not high end dining but nice for a quick bite if you are around the area.

Tried the platter for 2 this time, excellent MashaAllah. I'm not normally the pasta type but it was a fantastic addition.

This restaurant serves great and delicious middle eastern food, also the service was great. The only problem that is always busy and sometimes its hard to find a place to sit down due to it's small size and great service.

This place is a very well hidden gem in Birmingham. The food is fresh and tasty. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large.

Great, quality food. Very large portions. Cooked perfectly. Only "downside" is that it's VERY busy so service isn't instant.

Very good mandi rice and meat. Highly recommended who loves Arabic grills with mixed with Biriyani. Regular visitor to this place.

Stumbled across this restaurant last week. So good! Had real arab food and loved the raw experience.

Brilliant food if you don't mind sharing and eating from the same platter. We ordered a MEAL FOR 3. We were stuffed another person coulee joined us and eat to their fill. Very well priced

tasty food , the one you eat and feel dazzled . the meal has it all : a lot of rice, tasty meat , salad and they have green chili spices all this for 6 pounds !!!!. i ate the meal and kept the rest for the following day and it still had good tasteif i go to birmingham again i will pay it a visitjust to mention : i did not eat in , it was take away

I've been going there for ages and their meat and rice are always on point and if you haven't tried their tea yet then you simply haven't had tea yet.

I'm a regular at this restaurant. Food quality is amazing. The taste is better than any Arabian restaurant in Birmingham or even in London. I have been to lot of places in London but couldn't find a true mindi taste anywhere. The prices are very cheap aswell. If you like Arabian food then this is the place to be.
