Have used this restaurant since moving to the area 5 years ago and the food is always amazing. The people that run it are also really friendly and can’t do enough for you. Takeaway is prob up there with best in Glasgow and surrounding area in my opinion

Top tier level of Indian cuisine, accompanied with extremely helpful and friendly staff make this my absolute favourite takeaway, and one that I I highly recommend for those looking for amazing food at a decent price.

No iría a ningún otro lado. Excelente cocina paquistaní, mucho mejor que la india. Mi favorito es Lamb Tika Nentara, que es muy recomendable al igual que todas sus demás comidas. A mi hijo también le encantan las pizzas de aquí. No tome mi palabra, pruébelo y verá que no se sentirá decepcionado.

A great local restaurant serving fabulous Indian meals that never disappoints. The staff are friendly, polite and always welcoming. A great choice for a meal with friends, quiet dinner for two or a great take away meal. Highly recommended.

Disgusted to see that my regular order from Saturday 14 March to Sunday 22 March has gone up by just under £7 from £25 to £32. Taking advantage of the local community and the current covid-19 position.

Se estaba congelando por dentro y un par de personas tenían sus chaquetas puestas. El personal era encantador, muy atento. La comida principal fue agradable. El primer plato Pakora fue sinceramente como comer pollo congelado barato. El lugar estaba ocupado para llevar a cabo. Estado una vez no volvería.

Nunca juzgues un libro por su portada. Puede que no lo parezca desde el exterior, pero este lugar, durante años, ha estado sirviendo excelente comida ya sea que te sientes o lleves comida para llevar. El propietario es un hombre maravillosamente amable, que hace todo lo posible para asegurarse de que lo pases muy bien y las porciones son más que suficientes para cualquiera. ¡Los panes Naan son enormes! Only God himself could improve on the Bhuna served up in the place...in fact maybe he learned it here. Outstanding collection on a. Yay Saturday night . The boys were rushed off their feet but had time to welcome us like long lost family as always. Five curries all excellent and the garlic and coriander nan was class. Thanks guys

He estado visitando este restaurante durante más de 20 años y nunca deja de ofrecer. En esta ocasión llevamos a una familia de Australia que es aficionada al curry y quedaron muy impresionados. Vivimos localmente y hemos conocido a Hanif (propietario) y a su familia muy bien. El servicio de ellos siempre ha sido maravilloso y ajustarán cualquier curry a tu gusto. Un curry para nosotros siempre va al Minar.

Having been going to this restaurant for years. Would not go anywhere else for an Indian. Absolutely love it as do all my family. We never say do you fancy an Indian we say do you fancy a Minar because I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Staff are so kind and friendly. Food excellent and always to a very high standard. Best Indian restaurant by far.

I receive a carryout from this restaurant on a regular basis, and cannot fault it. The food is piping hot on arrival, the taste is fabulous and the portions very generous. The staff know me now and it adds a personal touch to the experience. Would highly recommend the Minar to anyone looking for a good quality, reasonably priced Indian restaurant.

Came here with my boyfriend at the weekend as we live locally. So glad we tried it! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The chicken tikka masala and the chicken makhni were very tasty. Biggest garlic naan I have ever seen in my life! Lovely fresh poppadums and mango chutney was very good also. Reasonable drink prices as well. My only comment for improvement would be the portion of rice could have been a bit bigger but notably the naan was huge to compensate! Highly recommended! It may not lol like much from outside but definitely worth a visit :)

The Minar is at best a down at heel, seen better days, cold restaurant with mediocre small portions and fawning service. AIarm bells should have been ringing when there was no restaurant menu online and could go on for several paragraphs but I wont.

We have been eating at / from the Minar since it opened years ago - in fact, it our Xmas dinner! The menu is extensive and the food the tastiest, to my taste, I can find. There is a good selection of vegetarian specials although I never go past the Chef's Speciality Vegetarian which comes in rich sauce with chickpeas, garlic and mushrooms. The lamb jaipuri strangely enough comes with a second dish of curry sauce, which is great to spread things out a little more if needed. The dahl is quite unusual, not as 'lentilly' as it can often taste like. It's not everywhere you can get chapatis but these are light and fluffy here when they've just come out the oven.

This place is one of my favourites. I travel from Ayrshire to get my order, food is always amazing. They have quite a large menu, Pakistani and Indian. Well worth the drive.

Tried the Minar after recomendations from friends about how good the takeaways were. We were not disappointed.

Visited at the weekend and couldn't believe how quiet it was. However there was a fair bit of business going on for takeaway food. The meal was very nice and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

The Minar is quite simply the best curry house on the south side of Glasgow. The food is fantastic and the owners are the nicest people you could wish to meet.

We had a great meal at Minar Tandoori, the food was tasty, the staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. We would certainly return and would certainly recommend the Minar Tandoori to anyone who is looking for a delicious curry.

Sin duda, es Minars el mejor restaurante en Glasgow. Nunca nos hemos sentido decepcionados, la comida es estupenda, las raciones siempre son generosas, el servicio es muy amable y personal.

Mejor curry en Glasgow. Que regrese de trabajar en el extranjero cada año y mi primer puerto de llamada es minars. Deliciosa comida en porciones enormes. Especial tikka es probablemente el mejor curry que he tenido con el nan de ajo. El personal era muy simpático y siempre recuerdo mi nombre y orden. Maravillosa experiencia gastronómica que no puede ser mejor.

This is best curry in Busby! Large portions, very tasty cooked to perfection . Had take away for 5 people on Saturday night everyone loved their choice of Indian cuisine and lots left to enjoy later on!

We decided to get a carry out so my wife phoned at 6.50pm and was advised it would be about 30 to 45 minutes. 8.30pm still no sign of it, phoned up and was told it was on way. 8.45pm finally arrived.... stone cold. Called up to complain, they couldn't have been less interested. Will NEVER get anything out of there again and I would advise anybody looking to get a carry out delivered.... look elsewhere because this place is a joke.

Frequently use the minar whenever I decide to have a take away and food is always delicious. Also possible to sit in and a relaxing atmosphere Staff always exceptionally friendly!

Have eaten a couple of times here, as it is one of the closest Indian restaurants to us. The food was OK, but haven't been back recently, think there are better on the South side.The meat in the lamb dish i had was dry and over cooked, like it had been reheated. Flavoring was nice, but quite salty.

I was looking for a curry and decided to order a carry out from The Minar .The last time we ate here was well over 15 Years ago having read Positive reviews decided to give it a try. To be honest was one of the worst curries I have had in some time I ordered a chicken Bhoona it was not good. The nan bread tasted as if it had been made yesterday and not fresh to order, Sadly the pakora was not very nice and had a taste and smell of cleaning fluid.!! I do not think I would ever eat here again.

It's been a few years since we visited the Minar or had a carry out. I don't know why we've waited so long as we remember the pakora in particular was yummy and on this visit we were not disappointed with any of our chosen meals. The staff are very nice indeed and very helpful when choosing a dish. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals but were struggling to finish them so we went home with a 'doggy bag' !We'll definitely not leave our visit or in fact a carry out too long the next time.

We've been going to the Minar for what seems like forever. The staff is super friendly and polite, nothing is too much trouble. Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious and the portion size is just perfect. Nothing comes close to the Minar in the area.

Went here to celebrate a birthday as this was an old favourite years ago. The food is still tremendous, the lamb tikka is the best we have ever had - everything is cooked fresh and I asked for the peshwari korma but with a bit more heat - no problem, it came as ordered and was delicious. Hanif and his staff are lovely, courteous and can't do enough. Highly recommended, you'll get great food and great service here.

Forget the dhabba, cafe india et all.... anarkali, turban...once you go to the minar, you ll find it impossible to beat. unrivalled curries- bhuna to die for. portions are amazing-take away especially. the service is first class and the kingfisher is always nice n chilled. its the highlight of my week going in for a ruby M...can't wait to go again! thanks guys!

Have a regular takeaway from this great Indian Restaurant. Freshly made and piping hot (not always a given in takeaway). Never had to complain once. Food is excellent and really great value. Well worth trying.

Been here sporadically over the years and always had great food. Time for a review.We visited on a Friday night about half seven. Off street parking at the side is a bonus. Only two other diners in the restaurant. Greeted by the very friendly and welcoming staff we were seated at a comfortable table. The decor is modern but it retains the feel of a traditional asian restaurant. Asian background music plays gently in the background.Due to another engagement later on we thought we'd only have time for a main but ended up having a dessert too.A Chicken Tikka Masala with almonds and a Pakistani lamb curry (with special sauce) served with pilau rice and salad from the speciality secrion, a side of special fried rice with peas mushrooms and onions, and peshwari nan. The almond masala was lovely, creamy and full of flavour with finely chopped almonds sprinkled on top. The special Pakistani Lamb curry is served with the sauce on the side, four largish pieces of lamb coated in a batter are served on the main plate with the salad and pilau rice. The Peshwari Nan was huge and very sweet, a delight. The special curry sauce with the lamb dish was spicy and flavoursome. Only criticism with this dish was the batter on the lamb, it didn't actually add anything substantial, and for me, wasn't needed. The special rice with the onions, peas and mushrooms, was delightful. So much so I never touched the pilau rice on my plate.Feeling quite full, we decided to push the boat out and get a dessert. Not in house desserts, but the Crolla ones, which I actually really like, a chocolate bombe and and a lemon and orange bombe. At £2.50 each they tasted great and offered superb value at that price. All in all in great wee place for an asian meal. Their phone didn't stop the whole time we were there so they must do a roaring trade in takeaways. Very surprised the restaurant is never bustling. In total our bill for two courses of great food and three drinks came to just over £42 which I think was excellent. I'm going to make a point of going more often. Just one thing, for management to consider, when you walk in through the main door there is a strong smell of bleach, which lingers a bit. Just saying.

This is a great way to entertain at home - it comes with 4 full size meals, pakora of your choice, tandoori oven mixed meats and poppadoms, spiced onions and two nan breads and rice. Fantastic meal and the flavours and quality are second to none. We have used plenty of indian restaurants and takeaways over the years and this one is just the best. Its a bit further from us to travel to but the extra effort is well worth it. There was enough in this to feed at least five adults I would say. Anything you get from here is great and the family that run it are so courteous and polite they always make you feel so very welcome whether eating in or taking away. My only gripe is that they dont have a website so you have to have a menu really to see what they currently do.

Just had a great meal but to be fair we have had so many brilliant meals delivered from the Minari it was not a surprise. The staff are are so nice and attentive they make a great meal even better. The chicken Lahori was fantastic as was the Naan bread. Highly recommended .

3 of us ate here last Sunday evening. The waiters are very courteous, the food is wonderful and plenty of it. We had a bottle of French Pinot Noir( priced £13), very reasonably priced for the quality. Whether you eat in or take away I would certainly recommend Minar

Moved in Clarkston area not so long ago and 1st time we went to tis restaurant for a meal with the family. We had a very nice meal, fresh food, large portions and the service was perfect. We even got to get the food we did not eat home for another delicious meal. Will recommend.

We have been using the Minar for many years, mainly carry out/home delivery. The quality and quantity of the meals is consistantly excellent. I particularly recommend the Thali meals which allow you to try 3 different curries of your choice.

5 of us ate here on Sunday evening, and all enjoyed out meals, which were reasonably priced, and portions were more than adequate. The stand out thing about The Minar though, is the service, the staff are attentive, genuine, and nothing is too much trouble. Will return again when I am next in the area.

The Minar has served me well over the years for a late takeaway on the way home from the pub etc .. I have even had a home delivery around midnight - 1am ..this is a great service for the "home from the pub and fancy a curry customer" ... keep it up Minar .. Thanks.

Went out for curry with a colleague to chew the cud & discuss work. Modest enough premises & the setting is out of the way, but the food was really good and the service was outstanding. Extremely generous portions - I couldn't clear my plate, & it wasn't for want of trying. Reasonable price tag. Maybe you won't make a detour to come here but it's recommended if you're in Clarkston & you want a good honest Glasgow curry at a reasonable price and in pleasant surroundings.

I have only had carry outs from this place & I find while quite tasty they are not in the same league as other indian restaurants in the southside. The consistancy of some of the currys I find strange as if they have been thickened with potatos or pulses. Prices are fair

This is a fine Pakistani restaurant which I've visited many times over the last ten years. It is generally possible to turn up and get a table, even at weekends. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. A good range of Indian and Pakistani style dishes.There is a busy takeaway line of business, but this does not detract from the in house dining experience.

I have used this family run restaurant mainly for carry out food for over 20 years and will continue to do so. The staff are always courteous and friendly and the food very good. I have never been disappointed. A gem indeed. Try the Thali for great value for family.
