Mimi's Cafe and Catering in Tameside

Stopped off here for a breakfast. From the outside the cafe didn't look too inviting, however we were quite hungry so decided to stop. You can park nearby on a residential rode.When we went in to the cafe, we were immediately welcomed by presumably the two owners, who were very kind and friendly. We ordered the breakfast, and a toasted tea cake which was quite large. Both were very tasty, and I appreciated that they separated the beans into its own pot on the plate, as I personally don't like bean juice running in to everything. They had a wide range of soft drinks in the fridge, including a very tasty pear and elderflower vitamin drink, which was a lot cheaper in the cafe than it is when you buy it at supermarkets! I believe the cafe only accepts cash, which is a bit of a pain as I'm not sure where the nearest cash machine would be. However it wasn't a problem as we had cash on us. Would definitely recommend the cafe.

Good value food served with a smile in this cosy cafe. The menu is simple and cooked to order with something for all tastes.

Arrived to have afternoon tea after strolling through the Hollingworth country side. 14 of us descended on Mimi's for a pre arranged afternoon tea. What a fantastic time we all had. Excellent food and one of our group has a special diet and was catered for with care and attention. Both Marianne and Andrea were super and looked after greatly. We will return without a doubt. This is the most amazing little cafe we are firm regulars since moving into hollingworth in October 2018. The two owners are lovely and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the food is home cooked and exceptional. I can also highly recommend mimi’s American pancake mornings on the last Saturday of every month. This cafe is also great with kids and our three year old loves it

We live in the village and had a party planned in Glossop so we asked Marianne to provide the buffet for 100 people. She was amazing in helping us choose what dishes to pick beforehand and arrived bang on time on the day. The food was delicious and VERY plentiful. Guests commented how lovely the food on the night and most of them took a sizable doggy bag of goodies home with them (I provided small paper catering bags as I suspected there would be leftovers).

We are regular customers, it’s always a great warm and friendly welcome here we will always return and the food is fantastic

Called in earlier today for breakfast with my young daughter. The lady who served us (the owner I think) was lovely, and took the time to engage with my little girl. The food was great, and the service excellent.

I visited recently with my daughter and her friend. The welcome was warm, the food freshly cooked and delicious. It was such good value as well .A really lovely, friendly place that I would definitely recommend!

Called in on the way to Mottram Hall for a bite to eat, after a long journey, we both ordered the small breakfast. It came out in a timely manner, the food was fresh, piping hot and delicious. Very friendly service. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Nipped in for a stretch and toilet break and I was happy to see something for everyone

So me and my wife who is 8 months pregnant was in a traffic jam on the way to Manchester and she desperately needed the toilet. We pulled over at this cafe and my wife asked politely showing her belly if she could use the toilet. The to ladies behind the counter one American began to shout at her saying the toilet was for customers only and telling her that they "get this all the time". My wife had to plead with the lovely ladies and eventually after a few minutes of shouting and intimidation they let he use the toilet by saying "just go".

So after a sleepless night, in our tent, the wind keeping us awake, coupled with a 6am start to pack up, to say we were a bit wrecked was an understatement. In need of a brew and some grub we called at Mimis on our way home. Lynn had a full breaky, which she enjoyed. Me on the other hand needed some guidance due to my lack of cognitive function, zombieesck manner. I announced that i was a veggy, expecting, maybe, poor you, how long have you been afflicted. Or a, what happened to you that you turned into one if those! Well i got neither just a recommendation to have the omelette, with mushrooms, onion and cheese. OMG, heaven on a plate! I am sure i heard angels sing as the plate touched down on the table. The first forkful was a lusty symphony of flavours that never let up until i had devoured, to the last. Oh my. And the teapot was rather cute! Proper brew to finish me off. Never asked your name but i am assuming its Mimi, thank you for a lovely breakfast.

Nos recomendaron este café aproximadamente 1 1 / 2 - hace 2 años, y aparte de que falta uno o dos sábados, hemos estado cada semana para almorzar. El personal es muy amable, servicial y la comida es muy buena. Me encanta este lugar

Had a superb freshly cooked lunch. Tasty and delicious. Marieanne is a delight who offers a wonderful range of edible goodies. Went in with a headache came out feeling relaxed and well fed.

Lovely friendly atmosphere service and really good food. No tedious time of day restrictions if you fancy a breakfast etc. Very good value. Ideal stop for hungry travellers.

Dos coches llenos de viajeros cansados en la ruta. Con hambre y con necesidad de re propiciando conducimos por Hollingworth y noté un cartel para Mimi's Cafe. A diferencia de café y tetería señales antes, el cartel nos dio tiempo para sacar. Así que me alegro de que perdimos nuestros posibilidades para comer, ya que nuestra visita fue un gran comienzo para un unos pocos días.

Muy pequeño y agradable café, la señora era muy acogedor y amable, nada era demasiado problema. Mi amigo y yo tuvimos un té por la tarde, mientras nuestros socios mini tenía el desayuno preparado y rollo de blt. La comida era muy buena.

Nos topamos con esta joya durante una terrible de 7 horas de viaje hasta el distrito de los lagos. Los dueños fueron encantadores y muy acogedor, y la comida fue segundo día insuperable. No había nada que ellos no lo harían para acomodar y los precios eran excelentes para nuestra familia de 7! Sin duda hacen parte de nuestro viaje el próximo año!

Estábamos en nuestro camino de Lincoln a RHS Tatton y realmente necesitaba un lugar ideal para nuestro viaje, pero no tenía idea de lo cafés estaban disponibles cuando pasamos a través de Hollingworth. Vimos Mimi's y decidí probar como la zona exterior para sentarse en la parte de atrás parecía muy acogedor como aparcamos. No nos decepcionó, ya que nos recibió con una cálida bienvenida y una comida buena relación calidad-precio. Soy vegetariano y a veces lucha pero su vegetariana panini era excelente, todos regados por una taza de té encantadora. El café estaba limpia, era cómoda y luminosa. Nosotros dejando relajado, seguimos por Mobberley. Sin duda visitar durante unas vacaciones de viaje si voy a Tatton de nuevo. La única razón por la que no nos detendremos en el camino de vuelta era porque no había estado en la carretera que de largo y necesitamos encontrar algo más a lo largo de nuestro viaje de regreso!

Visitamos a principios de esta semana en nuestro camino a Manchester. Nos encontramos con Mimi's Cafe el año pasado en nuestro camino a Manchester para visitar el RHS y acordó Mostrar Tatton visitaríamos Mimi's de nuevo este año. Una vez más, una deliciosa comida muy cálida bienvenida y nos sirve recién hecho, a precios muy razonables. Pedimos el desayuno - dos desayunos y dos tortillas de queso, cebolla y hongos. Todos fueron tan delicioso como lo recordamos desde el año pasado! Sin duda nos alojaremos de nuevo allí. Gracias Mimi

I popped in to try some pancakes as I love them and had heard so much about pancake Saturday. Anyway the pancakes tasted spectacular I would definatly go there again. THANK YOU XX

Spontaneously called here on our way to Manchester! 5 of us had a breakfast was gorgeous not a drop of grease on plate! Too far to call again but would recommend to all! Great service too!

Excellent cafe - very clean, friendly helpful staff and very nice food etc. Very reasonably priced. Great atmosphere.

Normalmente me visita en un miércoles por la tarde cuando trabajaba en una escuela local. Mi elección favorita es la newyorker con patatas fritas. Esta mañana me llevé a mis niños por primera vez para un desayuno, han solicitado si podemos ir de nuevo en la mañana, jajaja. La comida es estupenda y muy bien presentado. La gente que trabaja allí son encantadores, siempre para tener una charla cuando no muy concurrida pero también lo saben cuando no a charlar como cuando tienes una boca llena de comida. Recomendaría Mimi's a todo el mundo.

Se llama la primera vez en una recomendación, nos alegramos, tuve el bocadillo de puerco desmenuzado y mi padre tenía la tortilla, ambos excelentes. Luego nos enteramos de que el último sábado de cada mes que hacer tortitas americanas, los caseros adecuados , también han hecho americanos y salsa, era como si aún en los Estados Unidos. te recomendamos que te llame.

Un gran lugar para parar y tomar un descanso, todo fresco en un ambiente muy agradable. El personal es acogedor en una pequeña cafetería en el extremo occidental de Woodhead pase. Me regularmente puede parar para relajarse con una taza de té o una de las sabrosas comidas.
