Miller & Carter Otterspool in Liverpool

Lovely food the butchers block was amazing. Cocktails were spot on and our server Tina was really nice and so helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again.

We had a lovely meal again at the otterspool restaurant we were served by a really lovely waitress called Gemma nothing was to much trouble for her she is a credit to your company well presented young lady we had a fabulous meal and drinks would recommend this restaurant thanks again Gemma xx

My family and I came here for my cousin’s 18th birthday, on a busy Saturday evening. The food was lovely, as were the drinks. Above all, Emilia gave us very attentive service, and was very enthusiastic the whole way through our meal. We will definitely be returning.

Came in for a celebratory meal with the family, Emilia, Tina and Ella were fantastic! Food quality was excellent, Fillet mignon was cooked to perfection and is obvious the chefs take great pride in their work so would definitely recommend!

We came after a busy day out for our little boy's 2nd birthday and it was absolutely gorgeous. Tina, our waitress, made such a fuss of our little boy, and even surprised him with a special 'Happy Birthday' chocolate cake and candle. Food was gorgeous obviously, but she made it extra special.

We have been to this restaurant as a family maybe 5 times now and it never disappoints. They staff are so welcoming and patient when dealing with a young family of 4. My daughter in particular loves Tina one of the waitresses and she always makes a fuss of us and nothing is too much for her. Food is always perfect. Really lovely setting too.

I visited the Miller and Carter in Otterspool with my family and we were served by the lovely Emelia. Emelia was incredibly friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to give us a good dining experience. We will definitely be coming back!

Callum our waiter was extremely attentive and helped us with picking our wines and food . Nothing was too much trouble . Food was incredible, and again when we ordered the steak Callum offered advice on how best the particular piece of steak would be best served This was a last minute booking which did not disappoint. Lovely location and lovely staff ☺️

Emilia was a great server and we had such a lovely night that her great service contributed to that. She was checking us throughout our meal, was quick to take our drinks and food order and was very helpful.

We had the set Valentine 3 course meal which was excellent. Our waitress Tina was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a lovely meal and she rang the bell for the chef's and staff.

We went to Liverpool for business and before our long drive back home we thought we'd go to Miller and Carter Otterspool for lunch. When we got there it was relatively quiet, the majority of the restaurant and tables were empty. Emma greeted us, she was very friendly and welcoming and showed us to our table. Service was super slow, Emma was serving us however the slow service wasn't entirely her fault they seemed short staffed as she was clearly rushed off her feet, serving tables, taking orders, seating new arrivals, clearing dishes, liaising with the kitchen, finalising dishes at the pass etc. She didn't take 2 minutes for a breather for the entire 2 hours we were there. Once we eventually ordered our steaks arrived both medium-rare (lots of blood!) we never usually complain but on this occasion due to the amount of blood we asked Emma to send them back to cook to medium as originally requested. Whilst awaiting for the steaks we ate the rest of our food (chips, half rack of ribs, garlic bread, salad...) it took a while for our steaks to come back by which point we had nothing else to eat with it. The steaks returned medium - well done but we weren't going to complain again as we didn't want to the first time round but felt we had to! The steaks were chewy and largely unpleasant. Emma apologised and offered us fresh chips but we declined as didn't want to put them out. We then had dessert as part of the lunch deal and what an embarrassment for Miller & Carter!! I chose the ice cream with cookie which was basically 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and the tiniest, hardest most inedible cookie I've ever seen which you charge in excess of £5 for!! After one scoop of the ice cream I left it and we waited and waited and waited and waited for service to request the bill. Emma cleared our dishes saw the majority of the dessert left and made a sharp exit. The bill came and not even a gesture of good will was given for the numerous faults during our visit not just one fault but numerous. We were very disappointed with our visit here and will not return to this Miller & Carter when we're back in Liverpool and to be honest we're not in a rush to visit any others either.

Had a very tasty meal, best steak I have had. My Wife and I loved it Georgia was a pleasant waitress.

This was our first time visiting M&C at their Otterspool, Liverpool restaurant. We went mud afternoon on a Thursday deliberately so it would be quieter (we are still nervous about covid, crowds etc). Debbie qas looking after us and we were very well looked after. Food was great (2 x sirloins) abd cooked exactly as we asked for. We couldn't fault the service, food nor the entire experience- well done all, particularly Debbie for dealing with 2 customers who couldn't make their minds up. We even got to ring the bell

Although this is my local M&C I visit many. The atmosphere and service here is always excellent. The meat is cooked to perfection and you cannot fault any aspect of the experience.Peter was a superb server and introduced me (a serial M&C eater) to the app, where you can collect ‘stamps’ to get money off future meals. I’ll now never be skinny!

Amazing cooked steak which me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed, Peter our server was brilliant and couldn't do enough for us and we had a little laugh with him too.

We hadn't booked a table, and the car park was pretty full, but we managed to get a table.Even though the restaurant was busy, the service was top notch. Our server, Ella, couldn't have been more attentive, and her knowledge of the menu was excellent. The food was so tasty and cooked to our instructions. The whole evening was a joy, and we both are looking forward to dining here again.

Slight problem with the order but fixed very quickly by Joy our waitress. 51Food was excellent. Note the app is rubbish if you have to leave more than a 100 character review. Wont use this any more.

The food was amazing, it was almost as good as the service I received from Ella. She was friendly and efficient and nothing was to much for her, I would definitely come back

We had a lovely family meal at Miller and Carter Otterspool and our waitress Grace went above and beyond to take our visit from great to amazing. We’ve visited before and the food and atmosphere was great as usual, but the service from Grace made it exceptional. Really friendly right from the start, served us and collected plates in really good time and checked on us everytime she went past. We couldn’t have asked for a better server.

We were celebrating a birthday. Service at the bar was slow (both before and during the meal) and not helped when the staff did not know how to make a simple martini and lemonade. We had increased our booking two days before from 7 to 8 people but the table was still set for 7. When we pointed this out, rather than get another chair, the focus of staff was to check their records! The starters were enjoyable though the two scallops lay buried in an array of accompaniments. For main course, my preferred hake was not available nor was the rack of lamb my partner hoped for. I opted for steak as it is a steak house so they should be able to do it properly? I was wrong. It was served warm and had been cooked beyond medium when the order was medium rare. The two burgers ordered were only warm when they arrived and with soggy batter and the battered fish was disappointing. We skipped deserts and coffee as we were the last , having had to wait 35 minutes beyond our booking time to be taken to our table. Never again. This may have been acceptable for a low end pub restaurant but not at the prices charged here. The wine was overpriced for what it was. The pandemic is no excuse, they are still charging the same prices.

We went for a long awaited meal as a couple, as we have child care responsibilities it hasn’t been easy to go out together. The atmosphere was amazing, staff were so pleasant and welcoming. Amelia took our order, was very friendly and helpful. Food was the best I’ve tasted in ages, certainly best meal out in along time. On leaving Amelia found time to chat with us and show an interest in us. So different to other restaurants we’ve been to.

Had a table booked for 5:15 Sunday 2nd of Jan and we were incredibly lucky they'd manage to open as they were very short staffed and having to do limited bookings. Manager greeted us warmly. Starters were calamari which is always a winner and rum bbq wings, trying these wings for the first time they're fantastic will definitely ordering again! I had fillet, always a winner and my partner grass fed sirloin, he said best sirloin he'd ever had. Cocktails were delicious. No mint julep or bernaise sauce but this didn't spoil the experience we were just grateful to the hardworking staff struggling through to get their customers served. Hayley was great. Thanks to all

Came here to celebrate our engagement. The restaurant has been substantially renovated since being taken over by Miller and Carter! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us, even letting us take a 30 minute break between main course and dessert! Our server Ella was particularly helpful.

We visited on New Year Eve and ordered the butcher's block to share.I have had fillet steak here many a time as its my favourite but on this occasion it didn't taste the same as usual it had a more distinct offal taste and did not have the same crispy outer crust that the steaks usually have.When Ella came to check on us it was obvious that we hadn't enjoyed the steak and we explained it didn't taste the same as usual. She went to check with the chef if it was a different fillet from what they usually serve and then came back to explain it wasn't but kindly offered us a new steak.We have had some great customer service from Miller and Carter in the past but Ella's customer service can only be described as absolutely outstanding. She was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout our meal.So 5* to Ella (or 10* if I could!) and I'm afraid only 4 out of 5* for the chefs as I'm afraid our food wasn't as good as what we've come to expect.

We called in on the off chance, and we were so happy that we did!The staff were all fantastic, very friendly and really professional.We chose the ‘Butchers Block’, three different cuts of steak and half a rack of ribs, absolutely first rate!Debbie was an absolute star, she made us feel at home as soon as we walked through the door. We had a great dinner and an even better evening. Top marks all round!

We visited here as a group of 7, for a birthday meal. The group included 3 children under 10. We have eaten here many times as it’s a firm favourite with the children too! On this occasion we were sat directly in the sunlight which hit two of the children’s eyes, when asked to move to the next available table we were met abruptly with no! This is your table just move yourselves around. Now the restaurant was practically empty! Our orders were taken extremely slowly other tables served before us. Our server was very dismissive towards the children ordering their own meals which has never been a problem before! Our meals arrived and were not great! No one asked if everything was okay, and afterwards we ended up piling our plates up and ask for them to be taken as there was no sign of our server. One of the young children from our group began to get upset as they were tired and fed up of waiting around, to which two servers began to snigger and stare, not the best practice really! This made us extremely uncomfortable, rather than asking if everything was okay we were made to feel really uncomfortable. The children wanted desserts, that ordered arrived incorrect, with no apologies or anything. When we asked for our bill it was thrown in the middle of the table!! After this visit we are extremely reluctant to return. Regardless of whether our children were crying or upset we should never of been made to feel uncomfortable or a hindrance! At the end of the day, they too are customers. I never expected M&C to not be child friendly but on this case it was.

Been to a few millers & Carter and this one by far the best, atmosphere, staff, setting, table layout. Food was nice but found the pana cotta bit runny. Our server Georgia was fabulous, knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and polite

Firstly they served a couple first who came in after us. Then She asked ' Is everthing while walking off. Ok it wasnt . £9.95 f 3 tiny and i mean tiny scollops with a bag of crips thrown over them. Possibly the worst meal I have ever had. Even when I mentioned the meal was awful she didnt take it off the bill
