Excellent meal and all staff were very good served by Anna who was excellent. We enjoyed our last meal out ( which could be for some time due to lock down). Great experience !!!!

Lovely family lunch,very covid safe. Staff were great especially our server Stacey,and the food was amazing. The lunch menu is fantastic value,and has great choice.Thank you Miller and Carter Gosforth, stay safe and see you on the other side.

We were booked for lunch on 1st November for my daughter's birthday. We were shown to our table by a very pleasant host and then introduced to Katie who would be our waitress. Drinks were ordered and arrived swiftly and Katie then talked to us about the menu and how best to choose our steaks. We all chose ribeye and our side dishes together with the bread basket to share. The food was excellent! Each steak was cooked perfectly and differently and each plate was very well presented, hot and delicious. Katie brought more drinks within minutes of us asking and she was attentive without being obtrusive. Three empty plates later and my daughter had a desert of tirimasu. The staff thoughtfully wrote Happy Birthday on the side of the plate and it is little touches like this that make a visit special. We were all very impressed with the service and the food and we will definitely return to Gosforth. I hope the restaurant survives the pandemic as it would such a shame if it doesn't.

Out for lunch today for my birthday and this restaurant certainly didn't disappoint! Absolutely beautiful food and it was a lovely touch when my dessert came with happy birthday written on it! My steak was cooked (rare) to absolute perfection and if someone had told me all they had was onion loaf, I would have quite gladly just had a bowl of that! So delicious! Sincerely hope this place survives the next lockdown as the service was great, the food was beautiful and the whole experience was just lovely. Best of luck! Xxx

This was the first time I had visited a restaurant since February due to being pregnant and the current pandemic. To say I was nervous for heading out was an understatement. However I had no need to be. The restaurant was full to capacity however lots of space between tables. Everywhere was spotless and lots of sanitiser available. Massive shout out to Tony who looked after us for the night, nothing was a bother and he was so attentive. Looking forward to heading back to M&C, hopefully won't leave it as long next time.

Ella nos habló a través del menú y varias opciones. Optamos por el menú del mediodía. Reservé miller y carter para mi 30 cumpleaños, pedí un hermoso filete con salsa de hongos. Chloe fue increíble asegurándose de que todo fuera perfecto, hizo todo lo posible para que nuestra comida fuera tan agradable, el mejor anfitrión que pudimos haber pedido. El 100% devolverá la comida es excelente y el personal no puede hacer más para que su visita sea la mejor.Tuve el mejor cumpleaños número 30, incluso si no pude comer el bistec raro debido a que estaba embarazada. Asombroso.

Fui con mi prometido a almorzar, me encanta la comida, el personal es bueno y es agradable verse inteligente en un entorno encantador, pero tengo que decir su anuncio que dice "Tenga en cuenta que adoptamos una política de código de vestimenta de Smart Casual en nuestro restaurante. "no es realmente correcto, ¿verdad? Vimos a 2 tipos entrar con sucios trajes grises y fueron recibidos con los brazos abiertos. I know M&C are expensive but I went along as a treat for my birthday and we we're disappointed. It was the best steak I've had and the whole experience just made my birthday. If you've never been I would highly recommend giving yourself a treat!

Absolutely fabulous so open bright and very clean. great staff front of house lovely and our lady Stacey was so attentive couldn’t do enough ! Heather kept the drinks flowing and nothing was a bother I’ve visited the town a few times but never again I’m so impressed. I had salt and chilli squid to die for followed by sea bass and creamy mash greens and salsa not sure if I’ll ever get anything different again thanks for the recommendation Stacey. Kids had steaks with all the trimmings and although I couldn’t eat a pud they brought me one anyway salted caramel profiteroles. Lush

1st time at M&C but well worth the visit, a Birthday treat for me, a lovely friendly venue, it was very busy for a mid week night, great to see, the staff were attentive, friendly, knowledgeable & helpful, service was excellent. So then the food, cheesy garlic mushrooms! Oh the Steak! Washed down with a good glass of Red Wine, finished off with the Eton Mess pud all very nice, loved every morsel. Restaurant atmosphere was good throughout if a little cramped where we were sitting, but it certainly didnt spoil what was a lovely meal, highly recommended. Great value for quality food. Can't to go back.

I visited here last week and on arrival we were greeted by a friendly lady and shown to our seat. Our waitress was very professional I think she was called Lauren very friendly and nothing was a problem she provided excellent service all evening. The food was outstanding I had the butter milk chicken and my partner had steak. 10/10 I highly recommend

My fifth visit to M&C;, and felt that the standards are not what they used to be. Difficult to put a finger on, but the experience just wasn't as "awesome" (in my daughter's words) as the previous visits. Getting very pricey too, especially the drinks. This is not a city centre location, and it seems to always be very busy - so they must be making an absolute fortune!

Visited this steak house last night, what an amazing night the steaks we had were great and cooked to perfection so much choice on the menu it’s great, well looked after by the staff and management. The banoffee pie is to die for and this restaurant does some amazing wines.

Food was good but overpriced. Service was good but staff engagement was not great. As we forgot the confirmation email of our first visit and booing we were refused a glass of fizz that was supposed to be a reward for making the first booking. Had a bit of trouble substituting a coffee for a pudding. Seemed complicated. Nice restaurant with good food but feels mean spirited to us.

Have been here quite a few times as its local - the standard of the service and food is always really good, from the first greet, order, service timings and friendliness of the staff, the restaurant has got it just right in my opinion.

Miller and Carter are one of the best places you can choose for a steak meal. The service is always good and the meal is just what you would expect as it is cooked the way you like it.

We have wanted to try here for a while so booked a set meal with friends. The staff were lovely, the restaurant was also a nice setting but unfortunately the steak was very average, not what I was expecting at all. We cook better steaks at home. The wedge of iceberg lettuce was just weird and unnecessary as it didnt compliment anything. Very mediocre food. Such a shame as we expected something special.

Met with welcoming faces from all the staff that puts you at ease straightaway gives the confidence your going to have a good experience. We were sat down and ordered drinks which were prompt out main person who was looking after us 'Beth' a very polite and well presented young lady ,as are all the staff our food was perfect we have no complaints are any thing negative to say ,thank you all for a great experience

Very nice surroundings and very reasonable price for the meal. The meal was well presented, very tasty, and the staff are all to be commended. Would visit again.

Had passed this restaurant many times during our visit and decided to go for dinner on our last night. Online booking was extremely easy to do, got confirmation of booking straight away. On arriving at the restaurant we were warmly greeted and asked to take a seat whilst they checked on our table. We were quickly shown to our table and Kim came over with menus and introduced herself as being our waitress for the evening. She was very friendly and asked if we'd been before, when we said we hadn't, she explained the menu very clearly for us. When she came to take our order Kim was great with her recommendations and descriptions of sauces, etc.

the food was very nice and well presented and the service was very good we have the special that was on for January but you did have to pay extra for the upgrade on the stake which made it a bit expensive

Me and my partner came for valentines, we go the valentines menu which had a very good choice and was value for money. The main point of this review was not just mention the food bein fantastic it was to mention the service our waiter was called Scott and his customer service was brilliant he could not do enough for us if needed and just had good banter he is a asset to your restaurant.

What has happened to chicken schnitzel, used to be lovely, flattened with a tasty light crumb, now its just a very crisp bog standard chickenburger, very disappointing today.

An excellent meal perfectly cooked but the best thing about this place is the excellent service. From the guy at the door to the bar staff and our waitress Jessie J (not the singer, but I’m sure she would’ve given us a few bars if we’d asked) the service was some of the best I’ve experienced. Not overly fussy, just friendly, funny and attentive. Perfect.

3rd time at Gosforth restaurant and I've never been let down. Was lunch time menu although we ordered from the normal menu and this wasnt a problem. Chipotle chicken for 1 and cheesey garlic bread for 1 so we shared both perfect amount and fantastic quality. Both had Rump steaks medium, beef dripping is the best sauce in my opinion 1 with fries 1 with sweet potato fries and it was brilliant. Whole experience at gosforth is great and service with a smile everytime. Jessie J served our table, happy to help and insightful. Thanks.

Never been here before but plenty of people must have been as place packed on a Wednesday. We chose the valentine's menu for 27.95 for 3 course meal. Food was very nice but only let down was cold lettuce with cold choice of sauce. Sorry Miller & Carter this does not go with a hot steak meal. Otherwise service, food etc very good.

Never been here before 1st time. First appearance from outside of the building was food ample parking, very well lit and nice building. We were seated quickly and given a staff member dedicated to our table. Danielle was looking after us and she was absolutely brill, very knowledgeable and helpful in advising us on our choices. We had a 3 course special cost just short of £30 per person. Food was outstanding. We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone else to try it out and ask for Danielle.

Me and the Mrs came out for a bit of food as were both gonna be working around valentines, the meal was absolutely lovely had a garlic bread to start, the portion was much bigger than expected and it was belting to share, nain was obviously amazing as always, got a rare steak cooked perfectly. Got to thank Chloe M who was serving us, was very friendly and very attentive made sure everything was good for us and that we weren’t having to wait around for anything even when it got much busier, fantastic service thanks guys!

Been here quite a few times now and I love it. The staff are really good, always friendly and eager to please. The restaurant itself is in an odd place at the side of a new housing estate, I didn’t think it would work there but it’s very popular and always busy. It’s really nice inside, only criticism I have is that it’s a bit cold. The food is consistently good, I love the nachos and the steaks obviously, there is a good mix of food on the menu. The pricing is reasonable. This is my new favourite restaurant.

Four of us had lunch here,three had steak and I had fish fingers and mash.three of us shared a dessert platter and one had ice cream

Went here as a birthday treat, the food was excellent and the atmosphere and service was second to none. Danielle was our server and is a credit to the business, she couldn’t have done enough for us but without being in our faces. It was the best steak I have ever had and the cocktails are delicious too.

First visit to Miller & Carter and found the food, staff and surroundings very good. Would be pleased to visit again.

Once again for Another lovely night at miller and carter with excellent food once again and as we always do we got excellent service with a smile by the staff we did not wait long for our food even know the restaurant was nearly at maximum capacity when we arrived and left the restaurant

My daughter and her fiancée took us here for my birthday treat, and what a treat it was! The food was excellent and the service was also brilliant. We were looked after by Tony who did a fantastic job and was very attentive. The waiting time between courses was good and we will definitely be returning for more of the same. Parking may be problematic, especially on Saturday but this is to be expected as it is so popular.

Served today by Kate. Great service, great food, drinks and atmosphere. Definitely recommend for anyone. X

I have been in catering all my working life and i can honestly say the food is amazing but i am totally overwhelmed by the amazing customer service, the staff are a massive credit to the company, 10 stars out of 5!

Came for a birthday treat - one meat eater (the birthday boy) and two vegetarians, all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The reason for writing a review was because of our server, Ethan - he was an excellent host and made our visit a special one.

Had a beautiful meal here for my mum’s birthday, food was absolutely lovely. Service was fast and efficient with friendly staff, including Seb our waiter who was very knowledgable about the menu and very polite! Will be coming back. :)

The food at miller and carter is always great, our server Ethan (jan 2020) was an outstanding host and a pleasure to deal with, he was knowledgeable and confident in advice he gave and made the evening very pleasant.

Visited here as a family get together early Jan. it was our daughters choice for us all even though my son is vegetarian! The steaks and burgers where excellent as where the deserts we had. Vegetarian choice is very limited though. Staff where friendly and helpful even if service was a little slow. Overall good value for money and an enjoyable night.

What a fantastic staff member we have been to miller and carters a few time’s now and Jessie j customer service was brilliant and her knowledge of the menu was great. The fact she remembers us from past visit was great. What a huge achievement to the company to have this member on your team.

Excelllent first visit! A Xmas voucher from my daughter. The Atmosphere warm and friendly and hits you as soon as you walk in . Staff really lovely, professional and helpful and were all smiling! Chloe served us and was genuinely friendlyand couldn’t do enough for us. Food delicious. We had the January set menu - 2 courses. Calamari very tasty. 30-day black angus steak. Very good, lovely taste. The onion loaf was an added treat! My only thumbs down was the sauce for the steak - very thin. I like a decent thicker sauce. I could have changed it but my husbands wasn’t much thicker. No other complaints at all and will definately go back.

We visited yesterday (myself, husband, boy 7 and girl 4) and it was our first visit Tony the waiter gave us the run down and recommendations and time to chose. We had question for Tony and he was always so friendly when answering when we finished he asked the children if they enjoyed there food and if they would like to ring “the bell” to tell the chef how much they liked it the children were so happy. The food was beautiful and the January menu was well worth the money.

Had a lovely meal with my beloved tonight, decor, design and atmosphere 10 out of 10, greeting on arrival, friendliness of staff and service 10 out of 10, food presentation, preparation, quantity, quality and choice 10 out of 10, prices and value 10 out of 10, top marks all round from me, will certainly be back, thank you for a really nice casual night, really enjoyed our visit.

Absolutely fantastic place to go! Danielle our waitress was fantastic. She offered advice, was extremely kind and actually took an interest in us. We were out celebrating our 5 Year anniversary and Danielle made it that extra special . Thank you Danielle!

Came with my partner to celebrate anniversary. Perfect date! Food was excellent and service was equally as good, having been served by Stacey - excellent customer service! On the pricier side but worth every penny.

Excellent food and service. Visited 7pm Friday 3rd January and the restaurant was full. Lauren our waitress said every table she served was using gift vouchers as were we. Even though it was busy the service was still good.

Booked a table here for 4 people we arrived and it was packed, a wait of 20 minutes for our table but we didn’t mind as just had a drink at the bar. After this we were served by I think (sorry if I’m wrong) Danielle. She explained the whole menu to us and was very friendly through the whole evening despite the staff being rushed off their feet they didn’t come across as stressed in fact the whole place felt very relaxed. The food is second to none!! Best meal I have ever had. I had a fillet steak and my partner went for a slightly bigger steak (can’t remember the name) they were to die for! We will definitely visit again, can imagine this being extremely good value for money going when they have the offers on too

We've just visited Miller and Carter Gosforth and once again have not been disappointed. The meals and drinks as always were great and the service was excellent (our waitress was Kate). Can't fault the evening at all.
