Miller & Carter in Cardiff

We went here for dinner before a night out for my sister hen do. Welcome was great very friendly. Service was amazing, Izzy you were great so friendly and chatty also helpful. Steaks were perfectly cooked. Amazing evening thanks again

Came for an impromtu dinner and seated quickly despite being early for our table. Food as usually was perfect and delicious! We have eaten in all three Miller and Carter restaurants aroun the area and this one is by far the best, food quality is perfect and our server, Jose was a delight and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a wonderful Monday evening.

Felt very welcome in this restaurant. José made us feel very comfortable and was very cheerful. José was very helpful and gave great service. The food was fantastic. Thank you very much, will definitely come back again.

Have been to this restaurant a couple of times - the last trip was a few months before the pandemic. While the food on this visit similar quality / price as the last visit, the service had taken a real dip and there’s a bit of a mismatch of the food and service. Needs improvement as plenty of other restaurants in the area with similar/better food with far better service levels.

The restaurant was really nice and very enjoyable meal. The food was very nice and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. This was highly recommended to me and glad i visited.

Arrived late due to traffic problems on the M4 and a small SNAFU with the satnav putting us close but not there. Welcome was good very friendly. We were sat and given menus, not sure if it is due to Covid but printed and copied menus looked cheap and not in keeping with the restaurant. Ivan (hope that is how it was spelt) came and introduce himself and asked if we would like to order drinks when I tired to order a beer for my one son (17y/o) I was told that I could not unless he had ID showing him over 18, when I pointed out that the law states that with a meal he can legally have a beer if bought by an adult I was told that Miller and Carter did not allow this. OK now I understand that the law and company policy can be different but I can find no mention of this on the website, now if the company policy differs from the law this should be stated plainly and prominently on the web site, this was a disappointment as my sons have a glass of something on their birthday Christmas and at New year to celebrate but not here ! We had drinks 1 water 1 Pepsi and a shandy for me and ordered our food. 2 steaks with sauces, onion loaf and one burger which were very good and finished off the meal with ICE CREAM AND COOKIE The boys enjoyed their food and have asked if we can return to which I have said no problem as it was nice to have a steak cooked the way I asked for it which unfortunately is quite rare (no pun intended) the bill came to a bit over £80.

José was amazing throughout our visit. Excellent service and extremely helpful. He really couldn’t do enough for us!x

We visited this restaurant earlier to tonight for my birthday treat and I had the chicken which was delicious , my partner had rib-eye streak with all the trimmings which was wonderful, the only thing that let the meal down was the so called Eaton mess I ordered, it’s the weirdest Elton mess I’ve ever tasted , hardly any fruit or meringue, it was all mostly cream, when it came first I thought it was a bowl of porridge, I ate it but it was like eating a bowl of cream, it spoilt the whole meal actually.The service was amazing, our waitress LENA was so lovely and couldn’t be faulted bringing me a plate with happy birthday on.

Starting our tour of wales for birthday celebrations we started in style with a tasty steak and sides at Miller and Carter. Our server Johnny was exceptional extremely friendly and checked throughout the meal that we were enjoying our evening. The birthday chocolate pot dessert was a lovely treat to finish off an enjoyable time

Visited for a family birthday meal and there was 11 of us. I can hands down honestly say we had the best waiter I have ever been served by in my entire life. I didn’t catch his name but he looked like Tom Ellis and he was very considerate and provided the best customer service I have ever received. Also was served by a very friendly guy who was off to Plymouth University (sorry didn’t catch names) but he stopped and had a chat with us and didn’t make us feel rushed Will definitely be visiting again

My mother and I just had a stunning meal here and was served by a fantastic waiter named Hugo, would highly recommend coming here for a meal.

Friendly and extremely helpfully staff, young lady that greeted me on arrival was lovely. Food was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Visited the restaurant having booked a table from r 19.15 Greeted warmly and seated straight away. Don’t particularly like the booth style table but hey ho. Our waiter Hugo arrived to take our drinks order He came across as a genuinely nice guy and was able to respond quickly and comically to my comments ( which made a lovely change to have a waiter with some character about him) There was 6 of us dining that evening and 4 of us had starters, 3 said there’s was delicious but I had the nachos and didn’t particularly enjoy the texture of the nachos and the squirty cheese ( I did eat them but wouldn’t order them again. All our mains were cooked to perfection 2 had steak, 2 had fish & chips 1 had chicken and the other had salmon couldn’t fault any of the food. The Pinot Grigio rose was a very pleasant wine and fairly priced To finish I had the creme brûlée it was ok but i would have liked the sugar topping to have been crunchier. I prefer the atmosphere at Cardiff bay so much more than M&C in the Hayes it’s so much cosier at the bay. I scored the evening 4out of 5 because of the nachos and dessert otherwise it would have been full marks. Can’t wait to visit again and hopefully Hugo will be our waiter as he was great, he was very attentive to all our needs

Because there was 3 days good weather forecast, we decided on the spur of the moment to visit Cardiff.Our hotel was bout 15 minutes walk from the Miller & Carter.Having looked at the menu on linde, we decided to give it a try and weren't disappointed.We both decided to start with the Wild Atlantic Scallops, then shared the 28oz Cote De Boeuf.

The front of house team whom were working on the night of Friday 03/09/21 must have special mention for the reasons mentioned. Unfortunately I did not get their name but I need to single them out (especially the gentlemen whom appeared senior of the two). He understood our needs and did everything over and above to make our evening special (which he did). So a big thank-you to all.

Food was top quality and Jonny and the team made our meal special by adding a congratulations surprise for our upcoming wedding 😀 Thank you all!

Another very enjoyable family meal. Miller and Carter is consistently good. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. Our waitress, Angie, was lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough to help us, and make our visit memorable. Thank you Angie, and well done M&C!

My partner and I decided to re-visit this restaurant almost 2 years after our first date. It is still just as, if not more, amazing ! We were served by Hugo who was outstanding at his job and so very attentive. He gave great recommendations and provided the most personal yet professional service. He really made us feel comfortable. We had x2 starters, their calamari and sticky chicken, both were beautiful as always. The main event was fillet steak with triple cooked chips. Absolutely outstanding, cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. We couldn’t leave without dessert so we opted for their brownie with icecream and that did not disappoint. It was gooey, warm and delicious. We had a bottle of the Pinot Noir which complimented the steak superbly. All in all, a 10/10 experience. Hugo deserves to be recognised for his service, he was really attentive all the way through.

Me and my wife went out for our Anniversary meal and there was a staff member named Hugo who looked after us really well. While dealing with other customers he kept checking on us and making sure that we were happy and satisfied with our food order. He delivered very good top notch service and i would highly recommend coming back here again.

Fantastic service. Great service. Will definitely return. My steak was fantastic. Flavourful and tender I had the T-bone. My granddaughter had fillet. My granddaughter ordered her blue. It did come overcooked but there was no problem changing it. Would highly recommend

Me and my boyfriend cameTo Cardiff for few days. We decided to come to M&C for dinner. Im writing the review as i am sitting right here because I’m so full and I can’t leave the table My partner had the dirty burger which he loved so much, I ordered fillet mignon. Such a nice choice and also big thanks for the chefs!!Our waiter was Jack, who was always there for us, he knew what he was doing. We liked him so much. Ah we also asked him to order a cocktail to my boyfriend which isn’t on the menu, he had no problem with it to find out if the bar could make it. Thank you bar guys too We live far away from Cardiff so I can’t say we will be back but I can definitely recommend

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday as a nice treat for me and my girl, and can not express how much of a delightful experience we had. It was my first time ever trying Miller and Carter as it’s a bit of a posh establishment for my usual taste, but I must say I could not have asked for a better experience. As soon as we walked through the front doors we were greeted by the most lovely woman (I am so sorry I can not remember her name), she walked us to our table and as it was my first time she even talked me through the menu explaining how their known for there steaks, and how each steak has a recommended cooked suggestion to truly maximise the flavour. I treated myself to their 50 day ages black Angus fillet, usually I prefer my steaks medium-rare but the menu suggested the steak to be cooked rare which I tried and honestly it was the best tasting steak I’ve ever had, especially paired with their beef dripping sauce. At first I was questionable how a simple steak could cost £30+ but it was worth every penny, and I will definitely be going there again. All the food was cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. Really recommend any food lover to give it a try especially all steak lovers it is a must. Thanks again to all the staff who served us and all the chefs cooking such fine food, it was truly a remarkable experience.

Had an early evening meal with friends .We had visited on a number of occasions but it was our friends first time. We were all impressed with the variety of choiceOne had a delicious steak and three had fish We were all delighted and the service was excellent. Ambiance very pleasant

We had the lamb steak. Not a lot of meat for the price. It was smaller than my hand, and i have small hands. Vegatables were not even cooked. Meat was chewy. Just had two larger size lamb steaks from the supermarket for 4pounds and it was miles better. Sticky toffee pudding was not a sticky toffee pudding. It was a chocolate brownie drizzled with toffee sauce. Eton mess was literally a mess. Mainly cream with a little bit of fruit mixed in. Presentation awful. Another member of my party had a burger. It was dry and crumbly. Had better from a local independent burger shop. In fact have had better from mcdonalds. Just didn't enjoy and was not worth the money.

I usually love M&C and never once made a complaint. I attended there with my family consisting on 2 tables. 6 adults and 4 children. As of that day we have all been unwell with what seem to be a stomach bug, or something we have contracted from eating there including the children.

wow, is all I can say. Quite simply the best steak I have ever had and it has been well worth the wait. Our server was lovely and very helpful with my partner choosing a cocktail, I cannot remember her name but she was great.Food came out very quickly and was simply delicious. looking forward to visiting Cardiff bay again.

Me and my partner visited here on Friday evening for a date night and to celebrate one year to go for our wedding. We order the cote de beouf and a bottle of tokomaru bay. I didn’t eat the salad as it comes with the meal, the food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. First night away since the corona virus and had the best time at Miller and Carter. Everytime I go the food is outstanding, however the service topped off the night for me, our waitress Lauren was super attentive, never had an empty glass and was checked on multiple times! We visited today for a nice Sunday afternoon out. The service we received from our waiter jack was absolutely next level, he was so knowledgable especially being pregnant he knew absolutely everything I could and could not have which I’ve never experienced anywhere else! Lovely meal on Friday evening . Steaks were perfectly cooked and tender. Service was excellent. All staff were welcoming and friendly. An added bonus for my birthday was that I received an email with a QR code for free glasses of Prosecco for all 3 of us. A really nice gesture. I even had a free dessert as well . Comfortable , clean modern restaurant.

Very busy evening service. Restaurant was packed. Despite this our server Angie catered to our needs in a friendly and prompt fashion. Food was to die for. Well cooked and very flavourful. Booked online as a treat for my husband's birthday as he'd never been to a M&C restaurant. Couldn't have wished for a more perfect evening! After enjoying delicious starters, we shared a rib-eye steak platter which was cooked to perfection. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Felt comfortable that current Covid regulations were being adhered to, which was reassuring.

The Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection. I also love Miller and Carter's fries. My partner and I also had the best halloumi fries we've had (and we love halloumi!). Our waitress Sam was very lovely and helpful. Unfortunately the only let down was the cleanliness of the toilets.

Pre booked this a while ago due to COVID restrictions.Far more relaxed venue that’s 100% better than previous experience there that’s a good thing,Swift arrival through track and trace, to get seated.(Sam) was looking after us, couldn’t of been more helpful to us.Myself and my partner had the Full rack of ribs and half a rack - one word delicious ! Outstanding as per! Would highly recommend these over any steak in Miller and Carter.Will 100% return in the future when in the area.

Wanted to show my partner the M&C experience as he has never been and the team at Cardiff Bay did not disappoint. I have only ever been to the Hayes but have now found my new favourite and thankfully my partner loved his first visit so we will definitely be back again soon! The food was phenomenal and Sam, our server, was absolutely brilliant. The atmosphere was really relaxed from the moment we walked in even under the new covid rules which was reassuring. If you are looking for a place for date night, Miller & Carter Cardiff Bay will not let you down!

Fantastic experience at Miller and carter Cardiff Bay. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We turned up 30 minutes early with an elderly relative and they showed us straight to a table and were very accommodating. Hugo the waiter provided a great service . Food was excellent which is always a bonus.

Been a while before visiting M&C, our first visit to this one. It was worth the wait, service was great and food was of a very high standard. Staff were friendly and efficient, overall a good experience

Just had our first family meal out since lockdown - lovely food and fantastic service from Angie 😁 who was extremely friendly, helpful and inviting.

I will 100% not be returning to this Miller & Carter. I am 25 years of age and my boyfriend 23, during our visit I didn’t have my ID (admit this was a error of mine but at 25 I didn’t think it would be a problem!) I was asked for ID but my younger boyfriend was not and served a bottle of wine which we shared. I was soon told off and we were threatened that the wine would be taken away. We should have left there and then! Both myself and my boyfriend couldn’t look at the staff because of how stupid they made me feel, I do not go out to be made to feel like a child. I will add I had a photo of my drivers license and passport which they refused to look at because of photoshop which I understand but they’d been sent by my 61 year old Mum. I was very disappointed when the food came, my chicken starter was rock solid and my main of a T-Bone steak was way too salty and the chunky chips were more like oven chips. Very disappointing!! We didn’t want to stay any longer for pudding! I always thought it was very expensive but the service was extra special and the food extra special but after this visit I have realised it’s ridiculously expensive and disappointing. It was just a very awkward experience and not enjoyable at all!!!! Wish I could give it no star!

Met a friend for lunch yesterday at Miller and Carter . Social distancing and cleaning stations observed and staff had masks on. I felt very safe.We had the festive menu which was just lovely. Very attentive snd friendly staff. I hope the fixed price menu returns when the current situation improves. Would definitely return. A really lovely lunch in a nice atmosphere .

Met a few friends for lunch and we all chose the festival menu. The service was excellent, very attentive. The food was delicious. I had the chicken wings as a starter, others within the group had the mushrooms with cheese. Followed by a traditional roast turkey lunch with all the trimmings. Then Christmas pudding. All the food arrived hot, plenty of different meals to chose from. Definitely worth the money.

I returned here because my previous visit was a really nice experience. Unfortunately this time was not the same and it was the starter that spoilt it somewhat.I previously had lovely big scallops as a starter and provided very positive feedback. On this occasion they looked like they had been cut in half or even quarters to simulate the number. They were then covered in 'chefs signature' ingredients and they really looked nothing like what I previously had. The rest of the meal was fine although the sirloin steak was not rare. I could have complained but the evening was already spoilt somewhat. I do hope that when I return the scallops are similar to those I received in my previous visit, as I had past that feedback to friends and family.

The quality of food is always fantastic here. Steak & sides all fantastic.My review is based solely on the service I received last night from Jonny our waiter. Jonny provided the sort of service I'd expect to receive at a £200 a head restaurant in the centre of London. As professional, enthusiastic and polite as they come. I eat at M&C regularly, but due to this gentleman my experience was made that much better last night. Really really excellent and I hope he reads this, keep doing what you're doing Jonny, because I'm sure with your attitude & professionalism you will go very far in whatever you do. We were out as a family to celebrate my new job and it did not disappoint! We were served by Aldo and he was nothing but amazing! He made us feel well looked after and provided us vey efficient service with a smile and seemed un-phased by the busy day already had! The meal was delicious and compliments to the chef were the least we could provide as feedback. It was perfectly presented and we had the most wonderful time. The fudge cake is definitely to share! We had a very large board with the Cake on and lots of sauces to choose from! Very theatrical. Thank you again to all the team, never fail to make us feel special

Me my partner and my daughter when to miller and carter cardiff bay,I was so unhappy with my visit yesterday for my birthday, It is by far my favourite restaurant to eat at but everything that could go wrong DID, mine and my partners chips were freezing my steak was well over cooked to what i wanted it and my onion loaf was so burnt i couldn't cut threw it, i asked for just a plain cheeseburger for my daughter and it come with bacon! The lady was lovely and got us fresh stuff but it has really put me off going im gutted as i love this place

I was recommended to try here for a meal. The reviews on here were mixed but the food and service was very good and I would certainly be coming back again. The duck pate was very good and the lettuce wedges with blue cheese excellent. My t bone steak was well seasoned and cooked and my wife’s surf and turf was good.It’s not a cheap meal but it was good. I have had better and at less cost but it’s still good.

Me and my friend both ordered the rump steak. When it arrived the chips were freezing cold and the steak and pepper sauce weren’t much warmer either. I asked for medium and there was so much blood I couldn’t eat it and the amount of fat on it was disgusting. My friend asked for medium to well done and it came out more medium so she couldn’t eat hers either as well with all the fatty bits in it. The best part was the lettuce wedge and for a £50 I don’t think it can be justified!Extremely disappointed as I’ve always loved M&C but unfortunately I will never be going again, proper put me off!

Visited tonight with my young family. Had a small issue with our steaks which we mentioned to Hugo. He apologised and spoke to the manager immediately who offered us money of the bill. We were not expecting this and very happy with the great customer service. Thank you Hugo

Visited with my wife and shared a chateaubriand. Steak was perfectly cooked and tender. Miller & Carter never fail to deliver. Service was also good and restaurant busy.

Reservé una mesa en Thornhill Miller & Carter para las 6 pm y me fui a las 6. 15 pm debido a que ordené un bistec Tomahawk para compartir que estaba agotado para luego pedir un T Bone que nuevamente estaba agotado. ! Le dije a la mesera que no queríamos pedir comida a lo que ella aconsejó que le avisara a su gerente, le pedí hablar con el gerente que, para ser justos, se disculpó mucho y jugó un papel en que tuviéramos una noche fantástica en Miller & Carter @ Bahía de Cardiff! Volvimos a reservar para las 8 pm y nos recibió el gerente, que fue extremadamente servicial y también le pidió a la camarera que se asegurara de que tuviéramos una buena mesa. Sentado fuera del camino y dado el mejor camarero que me ha servido. Soy un gran creyente en que el servicio al cliente lo es todo y Hugo hizo todo lo posible para asegurarse de que tuviéramos la mejor noche. Fue educado, amable, feliz e hizo todo lo posible para asegurarse de que tuviéramos el mejor servicio posible. ! Desde el primer trago hasta la factura, ¡todo fue perfecto! Si alguien tiene la suerte de tener a Hugo como camarero, ¡no se decepcionará! Le he contado a todo el mundo que he podido sobre nuestra noche y que sin duda fue el mejor servicio que he recibido. ¡Los restaurantes 5 * en Disney con el MEJOR servicio del mundo ni siquiera se acercaron! Visité a Miller y Carter Cardiff Bay anoche. Entrante de nachos ordenados para compartir con mi pareja y 2 bistec y patatas fritas como plato principal.Para el plato principal, las patatas fritas estaban completamente frías y el personal no revisó la comida para ver si estaba bien. Cuando vinieron a retirar los platos y vieron que las patatas fritas no se habían comido, les expliqué que las patatas fritas estaban frías y solo para quitarlas de la cuenta. La mujer que nos atendió dijo "la próxima vez tienes que venir y decirnos si algo está mal y tendré que consultar con mi gerente si puedo retirar dinero por papas fritas"Me sorprendió bastante que ella estuviera sugiriendo que tenía que levantarme e intentar cazar a un miembro del personal en el concurrido restaurante para contarles sobre la comida fría. Seguramente hay trabajo para verificar con el cliente si la comida está bien durante la comida. Además, ¿por qué debería tener que pagar por algo que no fue el esperado o que no se cocinó correctamente?Después de una discusión con el gerente, la camarera acordó tomar 2. 50 de nuestra factura de 70 ?. ¡Ojalá nunca hubiera dicho nada en primer lugar!Y luego vino la camarera a decirme que "a veces las patatas fritas no se ponen junto a los platos calientes, por lo que pueden estar más frías". extraño¡El bistec estaba bueno! Un servicio al cliente muy extraño.

Nos recibió una miembro del personal del frente de la casa, quien dijo que no podíamos tener nuestra mesa hasta nuestro tiempo y que podíamos esperar en el jardín o fuera de la entrada principal.Obviamente, si el restaurante estuviera lleno, lo entenderíamos completamente, pero estaba menos de la mitad.Vigilamos la puerta durante 25 minutos sin que nadie saliera, pero muchos entraron al restaurante. A la hora de la reserva, nos recibió la misma señora y nos mostró el área que estaba completamente vacía cuando entramos por primera vez. Cuando nos preguntaron por qué no podíamos tener la misma mesa que estaba vacía hace 25 minutos y nos hicieron esperar afuera en el frío.Con actitud, dijo que no era nuestro momento y que tenía muchas ausencias. Pero no podía explicar por qué no pudo venir a buscarnos cuando estos no shows no aparecieron. ¡Además, no podía explicar por qué no fue porque el restaurante estaba lleno porque no se fue ni una persona! ¡Simplemente perezoso y grosero!El servicio al cliente definitivamente no era su fuerte.

Reservé una mesa para un regalo de domingo, ya que habíamos escuchado que este es el lugar preferido para muchos amigos. La reserva fue fácil en línea y las medidas de Covid parecían estar en su lugar, aunque la mesa en la que estábamos sentados estaba en un pasillo y constantemente pasaban personas que entraban o usaban los baños. El personal y el servicio eran muy buenos, pero no se usaban protectores faciales y parecían estar felices de llevarle las bebidas en la mesa, lo que la mayoría de los otros lugares no lo hacen. La comida estaba en sus buenos estándares habituales pero con un menú un poco limitado.

Had lunch and thanks to all the staff for a very nice meal.Very surprised by the attentive staff and the quality of food. Will come here again. Lovely steak, salad and dressing, scallops for starters. It was just a nice experience. Good for you!

Visité este restaurante para almorzar. Ambos comimos del menú principal y disfrutamos del bistec de lomo Rib-eye & Bistro con la salsa chorreando que era maravilloso. Nuestros postres de helado y brownies de chocolate belgas también eran realmente buenos. Nos impresionó mucho lo seguros que nos sentimos con todas las medidas de seguridad de COVID que se habían implementado. Todo el personal fue maravilloso. Definitivamente volveremos a visitar. Enhorabuena Miller & Carter en este momento realmente difícil.

Popped here for food with my fiancé and siblings. Was really impressed with the standard of food and service provided. Clean building and social distance rules clearly being admired to.

Myself, my partner and my parents went for a birthday lunch on Tuesday 1st of September at 3.30pm. We all ordered starters and we all ordered the £30 sirloins for our mains. My partner was the only person to have the scallops to start. Our meal was great with perfectly cooked steaks and a very friendly and professional service from our waiters. Unfortunately around 8pm later that evening, my girlfriend started to feel very unwell. She looked grey in the face and had a fever. She spent a solid 2hours in the bathroom being violently sick and constant diarrhoea. The only thing she ate that day was her usual breakfast of cereal and our meal out at Miller and Carter. She ate nothing after our meal that day so we are certain that this food poisoning was brought on by her scallop starter being off. She contacted the restaurant via telephone the day after our meal to let them know for safety reasons and was told they would 'look into it' and to email the restaurant with the details. She sent an email later that very day informing them of the details but this was not acknowledged and we haven't heard a thing since. My parents paid near £200 for our lunch and my girlfriend really suffered some horrible food poisoning for that pleasure. We do not want anything in return but we did expect an apology but Miller and Carter couldn't care less and have ignored our email. Very disappointing. We won't be back in a hurry that's for sure.

Always a great experience at the Cardiff Bay restaurant. Food was excellent and cocktails lovely but the best part was our lovely waiter unfortunately I can’t remember his name but I do know it was his first shift. Excellent service and a credit to the business. Thank you

Amazing food, fantastic staff, very clean, loved it here, the steaks were cooked to perfection, I had chicken , it was delicious, the beef dripping sauce..WOW. We will definitely be returning

First class for ambience quality of food and service. All Covid 19 precautions were in place but did not unduly affect the customers, social distancing not an issue. My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our meal helped by the efficient service provided by Angie.Booked again for next week.

This was our second trip to M&C since lockdown eased, our first visit was to the Hayes branch. We were greeted and briefed on the covid rules and asked to sanitise our hands on entry. We were then shown to our table and menus put at the end of the table. Some of our party fancied a change from a steak, so we ordered the sea bass and rump with salad. The salads are seriously huge and so good, would highly recommend. They were out of rump steak so they let us have sirloin instead free of charge. Sam our waitress couldn’t have been more attentive and chatty.

My family love this restaurant and have been customers of many years . Today we visited for the first time in ages . The service was absolutely phenomenal, the staff were so nice to us . We all loved our meals and deserts . Will definitely be returning soon . Thank you!

First time at Miller & Carter at Cardiff bay, Booked a table due to 50% off meals, glad as numerous guests are turning up to be turned away..Seated fast & quick service, I ordered full rack of ribs and chips and my other half had BBQ chicken, absolutely brilliant food, quality & cooked perfectly, deserts are outstanding! Price of the bill was a bargain, would happily of paid full price for the food and service that we have received! One of the best places to eat in Cardiff!Will definitely return in the future!

Absolutely dreadful visit, turned up for my booked table, which was told that only the overpriced steaks were available, at over £30 a steak!! Had numerous emails and texts before I turned up, not one of them told me that the rump steaks were out of stock!! So had our drinks and left. Very disappointed.

We visited for a birthday meal following their reopen. Great service from our server. I believe his name was Also. Good food as always. Have missed our steak fix.

Lovely meal, with fabulous COVID controls First time out for a meal since lifting lockdown and had a fabulous meal and wonderful service from start to finish.

I've visited miller and carter many many times over the years and always enjoyed myself. The only difference now is that I'm vegan so I wasn't sure what to expect! When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and I felt that they had a very good system in place to tackle covid or nay problems that may arise. The server took us to our table and explained everything very clearly such as the one way system. There was 6 of us dining but they gave us plenty of room, no one was near us. The waiter was great and our food was brought to us very quickly. All the steaks for the family were cooked as wanted. I had the roast cauliflower and wasn't really sure what I was getting myself I to, however I don't know what they put on it but can say that is the best cauliflower I've ever tasted! I'd be happy to go back and have it again, only thing. Would say is maybe have a vegan starter option but that's about it!Thanks for a lovely meal, really enjoyed and felt safe throughout!

Went to the restaurant with work colleagues. Very nice evening meal, and great attentive without being over bearing service! Love how simple the service was when it came to the meals coming out, and the waitress knew what we were all having! Always a bug bare of mind when people forget what they ordered half an hour previous, haha! but this wasn’t a problem, the waitress had it all under control! Good quality food, all hot and fresh and cooked perfectly.

Been here a couple of times over the last few months and always enjoyed it, until now!!! Food came out cold and I think the staff were a bit overwhelmed because it was a busy Friday night. A bit disappointed.

Have not been to a Miller and Carter since moving to Norfolk, where there are none. Used to go to a couple in Essex, but was a good few years ago. Happy to say standards have not dropped. Four of us had a lovely meal. My steak was excellent. Service was good and friendly. Place was pretty busy for midweek. On a visit to Cardiff so won't be returning any time soon, but would certainly go there again.

Sat in this place now. Service really slow. People around me with missing accompaniments being made to wait while they already have their meal. Let’s hope the meal is good. 4th time to one of these. 1st - good2nd - very average3rd - walked out after crap starters. 4th - still waiting.

Great meal lovely clean restaurant.. Weren't over fussed just left alone to enjoy the meal which was lovely.. But they were always there when required..Really surprised at the price to it was very good.

Just came back from Miller and Carter Cardiff Bay, booked a table for 7pm, bought drinks got taken to are table, after about 15 mins we told that there was no gas??? The ovens weren’t working??? Steaks were being brought out around us? They said that the ovens were down and didn’t know when they would then work?? WTF?? Why didn’t they tell us when we arrived? Very poor limp excuse from the manager, no compensation, gesture of good will, we were all stunned, the night was ruined, will never ever go there again, awful service, shambles.

A birthday lunch pre booked was a great experience. We were greeted well and Jose our waiter was most attentive but never intrusive throughout. Our meal was delicious, steaks were cooked to order. Starters and desserts were beautifully presented. The birthday surprise dessert for my son was unexpected and very thoughtful. We will return
